The top notes are strongly citrus; these are quite nice. The drydown moves into Ambroxan territory which isn’t bad but hardly original. I found it… okay. “Safe for work” (the perfumery equivalent of damning with faint praise). It’s also somewhat soapy.
    “Ice?” Nah.
My wife is completely unimpressed. She thinks it smells too much like the cleaning agents she uses. In other words, functional perfumery instead of fine perfumery.

Smells amazing on me. No joke. Light.. citrus.. soapy.. fresh. My kind of summer juice. I like sweet but this one has more floral/wood than sweet. The citrus is killer though. Sits on top but not stabbing your nose. Great balance. Very light but not invisible/flat. Longevity could be better. Dry down is hard to describe. Just smells clean with some sweet citrus. Maybe D&G light blue intense for women? Gotta add it soon. Shot to the top of my list. Ice never smelled so nice.
Edit: This is Dolce & Gabanna light blue intense.. only more wood/clean on the opening & dry down. Also less sweet. Still love it.

Safe summer citrus scent, moderate longevity, 4-5 hours on my skin

This smells almost identical to Dior Homme Cologne but mixed with Azzaro Chrome Sport. It has far more grapefruit, as well as salt, and a fresh minty note to it than Dior Homme Cologne, and less of a lemonade (lemons in water with sugar) feel. Sillage is way lighter than Dior Homme Cologne however, while longevity is also way worse at only about 3 hours. Dior Homme Cologne and Azzaro Chrome Sport both perform significantly better, so I’d go with one of them instead (the former for lemonade and the latter for grapefruit with mint).
    3.5/5

I stumbled across Jimmy Choo Man Ice (JCMI) while out about about this afternoon and gave it a whirl. And I was eager to try it since it had completely avoided my scent radar. BAM! JCMI smelled remarkably similar to Dior Hommme Cologne (DHC) right for the bottle. Very, very, nice since I am huge fan of the aforementioned fragrance.
JCMI pretty much mirrors DHC in the first stanza (maybe 5-10 minutes) but starts to transition as the woods push forward a bit in the heart (cedar and vetiver) but it is clearly a citrus-wood fragrances because that’s what I get until this scent exits stage left and disappears from my skin. Although it is not a DHC clone (that’s much more of a citrus-aromatic IMO) they are eerily similar during the first few minutes.
Performance is similarly disappointing as are most citrus fragrances in that it last 3-4 hours and sits moderately soft on my skin. Overall, I found Man Ice to be a very nice, very pleasant, very fresh, and very enjoyable Summer fragrances. But I won’t be buying a bottle simply because DHC does this scent genre and a bit better and it has been a staple in my Summertime rotation. Still, it’s worth trying if you’re looking for a well-received citrus fragrance.

Jimmy Choo Man Ice is refresh and feeling wakening.

It is only similar to Dior Cologne for 2 minutes than the citruses disappear. Mercedes Benz cologne is a better clone of Dior and a better fragrance then Jimmy Choo Ice.

Jimmy Choo Man Ice was launched in 2017, increasing the line of men’s fragrances after the launch of the traditional version, in 2014, and the Intense version, two years later.
The creative concept of the fragrance is to convey confidence and attitude, effortlessly, as the brand defines the man of Jimmy Choo: a man of rebellious attitude and temperamental masculinity. The advertising campaigns of the three male fragrances make it clear that the target audience is the youngest men in their mid-thirties.
Jimmy Choo Man Ice has notes of mandarin, bergamot and cedrat essence, on a woody body with notes of vetiver, patchouli, cedar and green apple, which evolve to a base of musk, ambroxan and moss. It is a citrus-aromatic fragrance that carries various woody nuances.
This time, the company decided to leave aside the lavender + melon + patchouli combo, present in previous versions, and invested in an acidic and refreshing fragrance. In fact, the campaign suggests white and blue colors, but the fragrance is green and luminous. When it touches the skin, it’s like a citrus bath. Besides the juiciness of the mandarin and the refreshing elegance of the bergamot, the cedrat shines with all its sourness, making the brain think, immediately, of lemon…a lot of lemon.
It is worth explaining that the cedrat is a non-juicy fruit, which is not usually consumed in natural form. It is most commonly seen as candied fruit, for example. Its essential oil is obtained by cold pressure of the barks.
Truth be told, Jimmy Choo Man Ice is not an innovative cologne! It has a lot of similarity (in several aspects) with the fragrance of Dior Homme Cologne (2013 version). But it is possible to notice some important differences, as I report below.
The output of Jimmy Choo Man Ice, though full of volatile notes, seems to last longer, giving more time to the refreshing sensation. I also think that the projection is a little bigger (at least on my skin), which I see as another positive point. While in the fragrance of the other brand, the evolution is more fruity and walks to a creamier base, here the evolution is drier and aromatic, passing through a woody phase and ending slightly green and mossy . In the other, it looks like they have used ginger; In this one, it looks like they put pepper.
In the visual matter, Jimmy Choo Man Ice tries to portray its name, through a frost glass in shades of white, symbolizing the ice. The pattern has been maintained, bringing the rubber finishing, which imitates crocodile leather and connects to the brand’s footwear and accessories line. Close up, it is very beautiful!
To conclude, I confess that I like the name that was given. It could have been called Jimmy Choo Man Sport or Jimmy Choo Man Cologne, but gained a touch of originality in the baptism. Worth trying!

This smells good but not a wow factor. It’s similar to acqua di Parma bergamotto di calabria and malin+Goetz bergamot but less intense.

I was tempted to buy it when I first tried it, watched some positive YouTube reviews, and then even saw it on sale. But after testing it for the 2nd. time on my skin and comparing it to Dior Homme Cologne (2013) I am glad I didn’t purchase it. It is an okay scent, but the citrus goes away too fast, like most citrusy fragrances, and the after scent was not good on my skin and for my nose… I would prefer both Dior Homme Cologne 2013 and Chanel Allure Homme Sport Cologne over this one.

I was tempted by the bottle cleanliness in a shop so I sprayed it on me. I immediately realized why it’s called Ice.
The opening was unbelievably fresh splash of citron and bergamot – felt fresh out of shower and kinda like lemon ice tea without sugar. There were moments when I couldn’t decide whether this hasn’t smelled too synthetic to my taste or if it was just the originality I haven’t smelled before. And I think it’s more of the second option.
After the drydown I can finally notice some juicy mandarin as well – but still not sweet.
Ice is brutally refreshing summer scent and in my opinion suitable for both guys or ladies.
Would I find this attractive? Well, yes as it’s quite sexy when you get an impression of a man walking out of a shower – clean and fresh smelling.

Out of all the designer citrus fragrances I put my nose to in 2017, this was my favorite opening. It’s a bright airy blast of citrus, with a tad of sweetness. Unfortunately it doesn’t last at all. On my skin it is non existent within 2 hours.

So every time I go into Ulta, I ALWAYS ignore the Jimmy Choo line of fragrances. For some reason, I never had any interest in trying them. Today, I had to kill some time so I went ahead and tried a few. This one stood out to me. I can see why others have said this reminds them of Dior Homme Cologne. This has a nice citrus opening. I think I remember it being a little bit more musky on the dry down than DHC. This is a good substitute for DHC, but definitely not a replacement. I think DHC has a higher quality of citrus in it, and you can definitely tell the difference.

It’s a nice citrusy scent, but gets a little annoying after a bit. I could see a teenager wearing this, but it’s not for me. Just my humble opinion.

  17. :

    5 out of 5

I was not expecting to like this fragrance, I really wasn’t. It was just going to be another generic department store scent with a lot of synthetic citrus overload, I was sure of it.
Surprise, surprise! This is a very pleasing bouquet!
As the note pyramid would suggest, it’s extremely top heavy with citrus (more lemon and bergamot than orange in the opening, in my opinion, but the orange starts to peek through after 15-20 minutes), but I also definitely pick up that phantom mint presence that @Houdini4 mentioned. I’m guessing that’s the patchouli in the mix, with the volume turned way down.
The first image that came to mind when I smelled this was a bowl of sugared grapefruit. Sweet, sweet citrus.
I can see how this fragrance could be a turn-off for some people, so maybe don’t blind buy it, but for me it’s a big “yes” and I can’t wait for summer when I can start wearing it daily.

  18. :

Well, some might even say that this Ice flanker is an improvement on the originals broad themes and crowd pleasing, amorphous nature. Ice certainly has a cool opening blast of bitter citrus and maybe a touch of mint. It’s not minty but you get that impression, then a modern musk/cedar and some warmer powdery tones in the base but the heart of the fragrance is that bergamot, pepper and even slightly ginger like spice. The deep part of the drydown is my favourite though and Immediately reminscent of the very good summer fragrance Dior Homme Cologne. It’s actually more like DHC than it is like the original JImmy Choo Man. So Ice is not a bad outing and I can’t criticise but never it’s going to excite me all that much. The performance and silage were pretty good likely boosted by ambroxan something I can definitely still smell after 7 hours.

I happen to really like this, it’s the most SOOTHING scent I can think of (but I’m by no means an expert). It has an amazing herbal vibe that reminds me of everything that heals sickness.
Comparing this to GIT (not similar really but both uplifting) I would say GIT is a pick-me-up type of scent if you feel kinda tired, whereas this is for when you have a headache and acts just like a hot cup of tea to enable you to relax.
Idk about longevity but the scent itself is awesome in my opinion. I’m hoping it’s the citron that gives it this effect, I’m going to try to get my nose on some other citron or yuzu scents that have vetiver in the background and see if they do the same trick for me.

This fragrance remind me of Versace man eau fraiche and Kenneth Cole Blue. This scent smell like a clone of those fragrances, since I like both of those scents, I must admit I like this one also. Yes it is not original, but still nice. I give it a 7 out of 10!

This is one of those either love it or hate it frags. I actually quite like it to be honest….dont ask me why, there’s just something about it. It’s simple citrus but just so uplifting and energising. My GF loves it aswell. Yes OK the performance is a bit shifty but coat yourself enough and it will carry. I’ve got a voucher to use so may have to pick this one up…even it was made by Schweppes!
    7.2/10

I apologize in advance, to all those people on this site that love this fragrance. Maybe it just has that type of chemical reaction on my skin, but I HATE this. I was walking by the fragrance counter at Macy’s, and decided to try a couple sprays on my wrist. BIG MISTAKE! All citrus. In fact it reminds me of a bathroom cleaner. I smelled it several times later in the day, and then I started to like it. NO, let me rephrase that………. I liked it more, the less I could smell it.

This frag has a nice bottle and cap and found the spray mechanism fine.
Had a spray on a testing card and immediately thought of Dior Homme Cologne and Mercedes Cologne. It’s more in the camp of DHC as musky base notes but that fresh icy citrus is something I personally like so got a tester.
I dowsed my wrists with about 6 sprays per arm and I kid you not within 10 minutes struggled to get anything significant off it. Such a shame as it really has a good smell to it IMO and I would buy it if it lasted longer.
Within minutes it’s a skin scent but writing this 4 hours after I still get that and it is a sweet musky vaguely citrus smell which is pleasant but it’s not what I want performance wise out of a perfume (shower gel maybe!)
If you like citrus give it a go as longevity varies a lot by skin type and if you are lucky enough to have it last on you it be a great buy as starts at £30.

  25. :

I love this fragrance! Fresh and crisp opening which quickly dries down to woody with subtle citrus. Only negative about this is really poor longevity.

  26. :

    3 out of 5

    Nice !
Bright, sparkling fresh and citrusy ! I would almost consider this unisex . I am surprised by the amount of hate on this one , it’s a winner in my book. The bottle is quite attractive as well . Great for Spring , but then again , the icy vibe might work for winter as well . Try it for yourself , even if it requires reapplication , that icy citrus will perk you up each time.

  27. :

    3 out of 5

I was pleasantly surprised after all the negative feedback.
Comparison to Dior Homme Cologne are well founded. Openings are incredibly similar.
    Bright, citrusy, bergamot.
Very clean and refreshing. Incredibly cooling and energizing.
Great for the hottest of days.
Performance, while not great, isn’t as bad on my skin as some seem to experience.
Makes me wonder if some of the performance issues have to do with under apppliication Because of its criminally weak sprayer?
Really….the sprayer is a joke and releases a laughably small amount of juice.

smells good. citrus blends. does not last long at all. for that reason I wont buy it again. ive had this on less than 2hrs and its as if I never sprayed it.

I’ve been wearing a sample from Dillards for two days. Might get lit up for saying this, but after the initial fresh citrus opening dries down, I get kind of an Aventus vibe from Man Ice…..almost a soft aquatic Aventus. Longevity is decent. Projection is modest.
I quite like Man Ice. If the current negativity results in it’s appearance at the online discounters at a sub $30 price, I’ll definitely be buying.

  30. :

I wore Jimmy Choo man Ice this summer of 2017 daily…to get rid of it and use it up. I smelled it in a magazine and thought, wow it smelled so good. so does the initial blast of spray.
do not buy this! i bought at a discount store. literally in 1-2 hours the smell is gone.
after 15 mins it still has a nice lemony, citrus orange type of smell to it. after 1-2 hours it’s very faint and after 3-4 hours it is gone!
longevity here is 3/10 i would say. initial blast is 8/10 so i’d reapply and use it all up which is why i now wear it daily.
i would not buy it again. you want colognes that actually last all day- go with Dolce and Gabana or any Versace colognes.

Recently got one of these and I love it very ice cold and fresh yet spicy notes underneath. One of my new favorites. I feel like this would work well in the summer or on a snowy winter day.

  32. :

Wow all the dislikes. This is very good and similar to Dior Homme Cologne and CK ALL. Dior Homme Cologne is all icy lemonade while this and CK ALL are icy lemon and orange. I am not sure which I would prefer without testing them all side by side but they are all in the same league.

I agree with the DHC comparisons below. although Im afraid it is not quite as well done in my opinion. BUT nevertheless a nice scent.

Dior Homme Cologne with a bit of Apple, I like it
Will probably need to overspray as it is subtle, but that works for me

I got a sample vial of this from the SA at Macy’s, so I decided to do a side-by-side comparison with DHC 2013…
30 Seconds in: Top notes are almost identical. Both provide an exhilarating blast of citrus. Crisp, bright, and wonderful. Enormous sillage and projection of 10’or more.
10 Minutes in: JCMI’s citrus starts to give way to its patchouli base, but with something sour and slightly off-putting. Meanwhile, DHC is still blasting citrus and flowers.
30 Minutes in: JCMI is almost all patchouli and sour synthetic apple. Smells like cheap aftershave. DHC’s citrus is still present, but the soft white musk is now in the foreground. Neither harsh nor synthetic, all I can think of is cotton and fabric softener. Nice. Projection for both is about arm’s length and both have softened into a skin scent.
60 minutes in: JCMI has left the building, permanently. And good riddance. DHC 2013 has faded but will be re-applied all day long 🙂

I really like this fragrance. It’s smells really lovely when first sprayed on the skin and settles really well into a nice smell. Only negative Is the scent doesn’t last that long. Like all jimmy choo fragrances

Great, this parfum is Chanel Allure Edt. Blanche, off cream scent.

This is a gorgeous frag! It is like 97% DH Cologne. Just this has a tad bit sweeter dry down but just barely. I put both of them on a hand and I forgot which I put on what hand. Really couldnt tell the differance. For about an hour and a half when this took a dive into nothingness. Then I knew which is which. If this had strenght and lower price, Dior Cologne would be in huuuge trouble. Even if this was very low in price it wouldnt be worth it cuz it lasts for shit and there are some very close frags to DH Cologne. Decleration Leau for example. Would have been a rock star if it lasted. Sadly, a pass.

  39. :

    5 out of 5

Very nice good frag with really ice opening but alike said before performance is shitty like hell.. Jimmy Choo is not taking the game serious or might have been at least at CK level in perfumes but now competing with Zara and burberry as far as performance goes am talking about perfumes .
i have a 100ml about 10 shots missing and i m up to swap only in Eu.

  40. :

    4 out of 5

I kinda like the smell, i totally get the icy opening but it has WEAK performance. JIMMY CHOO should pay attention to this aspect before they release something.

  41. :

    5 out of 5

The frag is nice but the performance is TERRIBLE :/
After 15 min its a skin scent, up to 1 h it’s gone.
This modern mainstream frags are disaster now !

  42. :

    4 out of 5

This reminds me of a mixture of 3 parts Dior Homme Cologne and 1 part Bleu de Chanel EDT. I actually really like the scent as does my wife. I sprayed it on my hand and I thought it disappeared really fast, although when my wife smelled it she said it was still there and strong. I continued having her smell my hand when I thought it was gone, she said it was going strong. I may buy this if it gets to $35-40 at discounters for a 100mL bottle or tester.

  43. :

    5 out of 5

Smells great enough, it is citrus fragrance and not so patchouli as of fake votes shows, has a very soft and weak performance.

  44. :

    5 out of 5

Don’t listen to Mallorntree’s ridiculous race baiting statement. Here’s the reason why Jimmy Choo Man Ice gets bad reviews. The performance sucks and that’s the reason. I loved the icy lemon opening but it completely dissapears after 15 minutes. It’s the same way with all of his fragrances. He’s figured out great smells but doesn’t know how to make them last and after being in the business as long as he has it’s a shame. It’s a decent fragrance if you’re indoors during the summer but don’t expect any projection because this becomes a skin scent fast and the lemon completely disappears.

  45. :

    5 out of 5

I have to agree with the reviewer
below me that this is just a lemon
scent, that might be plesant enough,
but i am not impressed with jimmmy choo
this time either, i think all his fragrances
are very average at best, they have all
been done better by other brands before,
why not try to make something new.

  46. :

    4 out of 5

I’m not a fan of bashing products, but I’m going to have to give this a thumbs down. On my skin it smells like lemon pledge. Way too much lemon vibe. Kind of disappointing as for the first 10-15 minutes it smelled good (on paper). It smelled good enough to put some on my hand. That’s when it all went downhill. Could be my chemistry?

  47. :

    3 out of 5

I don’t get what’s going on here, the notes in the chart above are off, there is no patchouli or amber whatsoever. If there is, somehow, it’s miniscule. Also, the voting is not consistent with what this really smells like. One of the engineers needs to take at this asap its messing everyone up. Anyways, this actually smells pretty good. I went to Macys today and immediately received a compliment when i I walked out. At first I thought this was identical to Dior Homme Sport 2012, but someone here also said it was more like Dior Homme Cologne 2013 which also sounds right too. Anyways, this is a very fresh energizing citris scent made for the day, office, and/or warmer days. 8.9/10

  48. :

    5 out of 5

All I smelled was citrus…I don’t get any varying notes. Thankfully, like most citrus scents, it lasted about an hour before it was completely gone. It’s boring and completely generic. And if there is pathchouli in this one, I don’t smell it at any point.

  49. :

    5 out of 5

the voting appears to be off. just left macys and this smells fresh and citrusy from the first spray and about 30 minutes in.
    more spring/summer than winter.

  50. :

    3 out of 5

The voting is COMPLETELY off on this.
This literally smells like a cooling lemonade/citrus scent and not much else.
I can not smell patchouli, not at all.
Very very light summer scent. Like the poster below stated, it resembles Dior Cologne for sure.

  51. :

    5 out of 5

A nice surprise and the best in the Jimmy Choo line. On my skin it smells absolutely identical to Dior Homme Cologne. The same tangerin-y musks. The Jimmy Choo is lighter, but just a bit.
I compared DHC and JCMI on paper: DHC is sweeter, deeper, but I think these differences will not be notable on skin.
Taking into consideration that Man Ice is not expensive and soon will appear at discounters, this is a nice deal if you like Dior Homme Cologne.

  52. :

    4 out of 5

Dont let the voting fool you… this is definitely a spring and summer fragrance and the patchouli is not as powerful as in Aqua Amara. It smells a bit similar to Dior Homme Sport without the iris. Still going pretty strong at 3 hours which is not bad for a warm weather scent. A lot of guys wont give it a chance due to the brand but I am sure that you will be surprised if you sample it with an open mind.
Edit: performance not so good upon 2nd wearing. Would be redundant if you already have DHS, Dior Homme Cologne, Versace Eau Fraiche, etc. If not, Ice will be a nice purchase when it hits the discounters.

  53. :

    4 out of 5

Smells like a nice mix of Allure Home Sport Cologne and Dior Homme Cologne. Has a fresh iced lemonade kind of vibe now to it.
Not the most unique scent but it’s very nice and does have hat summe frozen ice citrus thing going for. I like it!

  54. :

    5 out of 5

I love it on my husband!
Not generic citrus freshness. It is more aromatic, icy,but full of sunshine and life. Energetic, optimistic perfume, with a good dose of earthy seroiusness.
