Description

After the successful launch of his first fragrance, Jimmy Choo is presenting a limited edition available as pure perfume. Jimmy Choo Limited Edition Parfum has been introduced in 2011 and is available in a 40 ml flacon.

Jimmy Choo in pure perfume concentration is also this year’s edition which is based on modern chypre fruity notes accompanied with tender, sweet, gourmand notes. Top notes of the original Jimmy Choo presented in February 2011, perfumer of the composition, Olivier Polge, has offered a blend of pear, bergamot and fresh green notes. Tiger orchid in the heart of the composition was placed in the center of attention. Base notes close with a modern chypre trail of elegant and warm patchouli along with sweet toffee caramel.

The new, luxury and limited edition pure perfume is available in a flacon shaped like the original version, enhanced with silver metal, which provides more attractive look and contrast to glass.

The square-shaped stopper is colored in black and has silver details, while the outer carton has the same style—black-silver python print, just like the original edition.

The composition is announced as thicker, warmer and more opulent. Significantly sensual tiger orchid is spiced with alluring candied orange, on a base of the irresistible toffee-chypre combination of notes. Price of Jimmy Choo limited Edition Parfum is $150 for 40 ml (1.3oz).

Mm mm…. Heaven! I didn’t care for this fragrance the first few times I sprayed it on my wrist but it’s evolved into one of my go-to favorites when I want to feel soft and seductive. The top notes are pure caramel toffees (no chemically scents) and a bit of orange zest, which graduates to a slightly fruity, sweet toffee. The dry down brings out all the notes, patchouli, warm spicy, earthy, sweet and a soft, warm floral. Amazed at how few ingredients can bring out such a lovely, heady combination.

I picked this up on Ebay for under 20$ brand new recently. I was thinking I’d give it to my adult daughter since I don’t care for the EdP or EdT, and in general I’m not very fond of fruitchoulis or most of the super sweet gourmands that are currently popular. I like this though, more than I’d expected and enough to hold on to it after all. It’s soft, rich and round as an extrait should be; sweet but not cloying. I decanted some into a small parfum vial for dabbing which gives me the depth with close sillage as opposed to spraying which has a larger area of effect, so that I can wear my toffee whichever way suits me at any given time. I have the white and it opens with a great orange zest thing on top of the toffee and pear that seems perfect. The floral notes and the patchouli are both very gentle in this to my nose. Lovely creamy drydown, good longevity. My daughter gets something else this time.

I love this version, it is my favorite Jimmy Choo scent. So much so I bought a back up! It may be better suited to cooler weather and the original Jimmy Choo better for warmer (if you owned both). It is essentially a richer heavier version of the first yet so much better! Toffee is the dominant opening note for me, maybe that’s just all I want to smell :), then it settles down on my skin the way that the original does while still maintaining a heavier richer toffee filled feeling. Currently in a JC silver rut and very happy to be! Search it out and buy while you still can. The black bottle version is not the same! Trust me here! I bought the black wishing it would be based on its reviews but had to go back and hunt down the silver again. $$$ darn it!

Oh I love this! Very sensual modern and unique really.
All I really care for is toffee and patchouly and there’s plenty of those in JC.
It opens with a nice bright orange then Ismell lots of caramel with a little orchid in the background it then drys down to a very earthy patchouly.
I can see the comparison with Flowerbomb even though I think they are both awesome and rather different from one another.
I associate JC with my beloved London cause that’s where I got my first bottle.

I read all your reviews and wonder where’s sillage and lasting power here? I sprayed it today after longer while and…well it’s beautiful, chocolaty, dense, intensive. But this explosion lasts 15 minutes on me. It doesn’t want to last on my skin, doesn’t project. Goes away without a trace. The same happened with regular edp, it was non existing on me.
Such a shame because it’s gorgeous scent. I guess i’m not gonna wear it because i see no point if it’s gone so fast but i’ll keep it just in case my skin chemistry will change one day.

jimmy choo limited edition parfum is a super gourmant frangrance on my skin…with a single spray or two, is enough to last all day…however, it didnt comes in layers on me…YES, it does smell good and delicious. but it just monotonous from the start till the end of the day…as far as im concern, this ‘high end’ fragrance should come in layers, but maybe it just me…LOL..overall, this ONE is a nice fragrance and a MUST have fragrance!!

Love Love Love this. I hope they keep it in the stores even though it is very expensive, It is so worth it. I love the Jimmy Choo EDP but this is even better, and I use the two together. The White dries down to a much softer creamy fragrance, where the EDP I smell more sandalwood in the dry down, but together the result is wonderful. The body lotion and shower gel also go wonderfully with the White perfume. I would definitely buy another I want to horde it! I am afraid they will discontinue it since its a limited edition. I have to keep asking for gift certificates to Macys so I can afford it!!

Jimmy Choo Parfum 2011, is really heavy on the toffee and patchouli accords. Not surprisingly, this parfum flanker is much stronger in terms of sillage when compared to the original EDP.
There’s something really sexy about the toffee accord in Jimmy Choo. It may be all sweet and gooey to some, but on my skin it smells deep and rich, further complimented by the earthy patchouli accord. It’s also slightly creamy in both texture and smell.
I really enjoyed the original Jimmy Choo EDP when it was released, however this flanker has gone one better. It may be a little more pricey, but I can guarantee that it is definitely worth it. I would only use one or two sprays of Jimmy Choo Parfum 2011. It is super strong.
I haven’t seen hide nor hair of the 2012 parfum version, which is odd. All my local department stores carry this parfum flanker only, (not that I’m complaining).
Jimmy Choo Parfum 2011 is a gourmand through and through, the fruit notes are barely present. Towards the drydown, this fragrance almost smells like Thierry Mugler’s Angel. I highly recommend.

I first smelled toffee notes in a perfume when I bought a Jessica Simpson scent which is apparently no longer available (all I remember is it had “toffee” in the name). I loved that scent, but this more intense version of Jimmy Choo is 100% better, so much more sophisticated and extremely long-lasting (the original Jimmy Choo is lovely but not long-lasting enough on me, and had a little too much patchouli).
I wish I could afford this one, I tried it once and am addicted.

Comparing to original one, toffee note is more dominant and patchouli is not disturbing. This is spicier and sweeter, and to me definitely better than first one. Sillage is low but longevity is good on skin & clothes.

i was so excited about this fragrance, a stronger version of the original jimmy choo eau de parfum, which is my all time favorite scent that i know ill always have in my perfume collection. but i feel like this one smells a little different, a bit spicier in a sense that its just not quiet like the EDP. i think the patchouli is a bit on the strong side. i will give it a good try again and see if its really a stronger version of the EDP or whether its really a bit different.
EDIT: i sprayed it on my wrist again the other day and it is definitely different to the original EDP. this one is more spicier and has less toffee in it. its less sweet in my opinion. it does however last longer than the original but im still not purchasing it because of the slight difference in smell.

This is the MUCH stronger, less scratchy version of Jimmy Choo, with an amped up toffee note. One spray of this, and you will be able to smell it for the rest of the day, no problem. Because I received this bottle before I purchased the EDP, when I finally bought the EDP, I couldn’t help but think how watery it smells in comparison to this version. Yet, I used to think the EDP was strong! Go figure!

So I finally wore this alone, at home so I could really focus on how the scent changed on me. It’s hard to believe, but honestly I really thought this scent was a bit different than the EDP. Let me just first say I am in love with the EDP. I think it’s magical. So of course I had to have the parfum. I have worn the EDP so many times that the scent in ingrained in my mind. I have worn the parfum twice now, and I can confidently say that I get a different vibe from it than from the EDP. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but just different.
At first sniff, the parfum is much softer. I was surprised, as I thought it would be much stronger than the EDP. (It’s not really.) At first, I was a little disappointed, as I was expecting a blast of sweet patchouli. Instead I got a soft orange, toffee scent. About an hour later, the patchouli just hit me. It was like all of the sudden it developed right in front of me. That sudden hit of patchouli was magical. It instantly became that lovely, gourmand heaven that I expected. During the next four hours, I swear to you it was the most gorgeous patchouli and vanilla creme. There is no vanilla listed but I could clearly smell warm vanilla. It very much reminded me of the drydown stage of Bond No 9 Success is a Job in NY. I couldn’t believe my nose. Even my husband, who is a bit smell-challenged, said I smelled like vanilla. Nevertheless, it was amazing. I could not stop sniffing my wrist.
Bottom line, the parfum is AMAZING, however I would definitely buy the EDP as well, as I feel they are different enough to warrant having both. Longevity is about 6 hours with the parfum (about 3 for the EDP). Sillage is moderate in both. I’m very happy with my purchase!

I love this. It smells almost identical to the EDP, but you can detect just a touch of orange in this one. It’s also smoother and creamier. I did one spray 6 hours ago and it’s still going strong..

This is absolutely beautiful! This fragrance is rich and intoxicating and I feel soooo sexy when wearing it. It seems that everything I disliked about EDP has been removed in this pure parfum. There is something very off-putting about the EDP – I can’t pick out the notes specifically but there is something I really dislike in the other version. This parfum however, is divine. It’s very warm and creamy. The patchouli balances the sweetness perfectly and adds wonderful depth. The dry-down is pure, deep, toffee-glazed orchid – heaven!

This one smells SO good! WAY better than the edp. Creamy mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmness. I need to save my pennies! Next time I’m asking for a sample! I was afraid they were going to say no bcuz it’s a pure parfum but next time I will be courageous! Haha! : )

Pear, toffee, and patchouli. I don’t know why the pear isn’t noted on the limited edition, but is shown on the original eau de parfum. The pear is definitely present here. I am not normally a fan of fruity florals (or maybe I am and am not ready to admit it), but this is beautiful. I will be picking up a bottle of this soon. I like it better than the original mostly because it’s richer and more in your face which I love in a perfume.
