This is a review for the body mist.
I bought the fragrance mist and the body butter because both are actually on sales (you know the Bath & Body Works always have crazy sales happened).
The first time I tried it, I only wear the fragrance mist and as usual on the chest, on the back of my neck and on my lower back spine. Since its a body mist with 236ml and cheaper so i spray a little extra carelessly.
At first its a bit strong but after 30min this turns to something heavenly. The best part that I loved about it is it blend well with my body heat. The more heat my body produce the more stronger the heavenly smells wafting.
Another best thing happened when i layer the body mist along with the body butter. The body butter has strong japanese cherry blossom scent too which helps extending the longevity of the body mist.
Apply the body butter first than spritz the body mist on top is totally perfect match. The only downturn is the body mist liquid is red color and the body butter color content is pastel pink which can leave stain on white clothes.
But overall, the scent, the longevity are great.

I just signed up for this wonderful site (literally), so excuse my ignorance in posting this instead of a review, but I didn’t know any other way to post this. I am willing to either trade (if anyone has a Twilight Woods EDP?) or give my JCB eau de parfum away, so please message me (and again, I apologize if you don’t hear from me right away as I don’t know how to check for messages yet). In time, I will make an effort to figure this site out and find you. If anyone would like a full-sized bottle of the previous JCB from B&B(the one with the black top, although the top of mine is missing and won’t be included), I would be happy to send it to you. It is about 96% full, so it has been used, but not much. Along with that, I also have a small sized Eternity for women (unfortunately, it is the new Coty Edition, and not the vintage, but nonetheless..), so if you would like, I can include that too if no one else claims it.

Along with Moonlight Path, this is really the only BBW offering that comes close to being an actual perfume as opposed to just human Febreze. It probably smelled a little richer and better when it first came out (around 2005, I believe) but I don’t perceive a huge difference in the 2018 version (just less emphasis on the cinnamon and more on the florals). It is indeed reminiscent of a very nice fruity shampoo, but that’s sort of inescapable with BBW products.
This is a fragrance I instantly recognize on people. It’s powdery, woodsy and pleasant. Favored by middle-aged women, but I am one of those so I get it

This is so warm and woodsy for the freshness it projects, it really does remind me a little of Japanese incense; there’s a smoky softness to these blooms.
The blooms are sweet and waxy in this, very fresh and slightly fruity but not dominantly so. There is a fuzzy sweetness to “Japanese Cherry Blossom’s” base, but this sweetness is more like dry, husky vanilla bean than syrup.
But more than all of that, there is such a feeling of exciting nostalgia to this, for me. Another scent I smelled wafting around malls, movie theaters and fairs during my teen years that’s just installed in me an association of wholesome and fun nights, a sort of community familiarity feeling.
I love “Bath and Body Works” for this, I guess you could say, cultural history because it brings me back to that feeling every time I need it. I’m so glad I bought this on the first day of Summer! It suits the occasion!

I’m not crazy about BBW, but this is a staple in my collection. I use it after a workout at the gym, always have one in my gym bag. I get loads of compliments on it there. It’s a good, clean scent when you just feel hot and want to refresh.

I remember when this came out, I never thought it was anything remotely worthy of wearing on your skin. I’d probably use it as a way to freshen up a room or car to be blunt.
Don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t intolerable but I just don’t think it’s worth it. It basically smells like its price.

I’ve worn this fragrance along with the lotions etc since they first came out back in 2008(?), and absolutely love it! I have always received compliments on it. I was so disappointed when they changed the formula, once they did, it just smelled cheap, a lot like the cheaper lotion type brands. Lucky I was able to grab 2 of these older formula bottles on e-bay, yes I paid more but I’m so glad I bought them. I have one on the dresser that is half full, but I still have the other 🙂

    Japanese Cherry Blossom
Am I the only one who thinks that this smells like shampoo out of the bottle? At first, I didn’t like it but I agree with my brother, it smells cool. It reminds me of cold weather and rainy days at night. Then I put some on my skin and wow, it smells amazing! It’s all about floral and fruity that is not cloying but rather comforting if you give it a minute. This is also that kind of mist that could be compared to expensive perfumes because it does not smell cheap to me. Yeah I know I said that it smells like shampoo but it’s not like your typical shampoo. Expensive shampoo, maybe? Ugh, I’m bad at comparing but my brothers like this one. This is perfect to wear in cold weather but also all year round. I can say that it is distinct from all the mists of BBW. It smells amazing! I did say it twice even though it smells like shampoo before but I changed my mind. One of my favorites! Also, this stays on my skin longer than I expected unlike the other mists which is a plus.
    Scent: 8/10
    Sillage: 7/10
    Longevity: 8/10

Japanese Cherry Blossom doesn’t list notes similar to Casmere Mist by Donna Karan, but smells similar on me. It’s the same relaxed woody smell, except Japanese Cherry Blossom is sweeter and more floral. Sillage is moderate to heavy on me.

this is about as spicy or sour a smell as i could ever wear. i think a certain vanilla sweetness shines out of this one and smells lovely. this was my mom’s smell and when i wear it, it reminds me of her. i would recommend layering with mac’s creme de nude, because i think that that smell has a spicy vanilla note that pairs perfect with this one. jcb is a staple in scent <3

I have the Bath & Body Works set of the perfume, the fragrance mist, and the body lotion. When you put on the lotion and then the perfume it smells amazing. Wish it lasted longer though. This has been reissued in a different bottle with a reddish color.
I have two editions one is older in a hair spray looking bottle and a body lotion in pink. This is pretty good stuff for putting on during a shower. It’s girly and very easy to wear. It smells like it suits younger girls (18 or under but 18 and up and I mean way up (40 and up) could wear it too I guess. It has no real age. It also has no gender because I think it is neither too feminine or masculine and can pass for unisex. So this is fruity, floral, woodsy, musky. It’s also a tad spicy with cinnamon. It opens with some green apple. It’s very distinct like slices of green apples. Then it smells of light plum and pear. Fruity and fresh as it starts. Then it gets floral with what I felt as being rose, tuberose and lily. I’m sorry but for the life of me I can’t smell the cherry blossom. Maybe my bottle is not doing what it’s supposed to do or I am not familiar with cherry blossom enough to know what it smells like. If it’s supposed to smell like cherry this does not smell of cherry. It’s definitely floral and a bit fruity but the fruit is not cherry at all. It’s clearly apple and pear.
The flowers are delicate and powdery. The dry down is woodsy with sandalwood and cedar wood. I can really smell that cedar and sandal. Then it turns a bit musky but not animalic at all. Sometimes the very last part of it smells like burnt incense. It’s also quite powdery. Very subtle and very easy on the nose. Japanese Cherry Blossom is an all purpose any time anywhere fragrance.
You can wear this to work, the office, school, University, a date, an outing with friends, the beach and so forth. Smells like it is best worn in spring and summer.
    Lovely.

It’s a classic and cult favorite for a reason. I may be young in years, but I’ve smelled a lot of perfumes in my time, and I’ve only found a handful of fragrances that smell as good as B&BW Japanese Cherry Blossom. Great staying power too for being so cheap.

Hubby gave me a set of this for holiday last night. The body wash, spray, and body cream. It’s really nice. Not too foodie, not too little kidish. I like it.
I usually opt to wear perfume though, so the body spray will probably be used to scent my sheets and bedding. When it comes to B&BW stuff, I like the shower gels the best.

I tend to be attracted to simple fragrances and on me, this fragrance just doesn’t smell like anything resembling a cherry blossom. Maybe it’s because my skin projects the more ‘bitter’ notes (oak moss & patch – both of which usually come to the forefront on most fragrances on me) and what little else that comes across is a rather unidentified jumble of ‘stuff.’
It is still a beloved fragrance for many people I know and I certainly have no complains about it on them. It just doesn’t smell good on me.

This is a great one from BBW. Normally, their fragrances are synthetic and cheap smelling but this one is one of their bests. It smells clean and feminine yet young and vibrant. Although it is noted that it is not a complicated fragrance and doesn’t last long.

It’s been really interesting revisiting the fragrances that resonated with me when I was younger now that I’ve had a few years away, and have moved into different scents. I remember never really being able to say what this smelled like, which I’m sure is part of why I liked it. It was maybe the first fascinating (to me, at least) scent I owned. It was stronger and felt darker, sultrier than the other things I’d worn up to that point; Strawberries and Champagne by Victoria’s Secret, Dolly Girl by Anna Sui, Hula by Roxy, Chanel Chance. I started wearing it in college, and it seemed appropriate. It was a break from my girlhood; it felt sophisticated, maybe how I imagined the woman I wanted to become would smell.
I smell it now, and I don’t exactly think “sophisticated” or “seductive,” but I think I’ve become unfairly biased against this scent because of how common it is. A decade later and I still smell it all the time, on women of all ages, with completely different sense of style. It’s a sort of chameleon scent, and it’s a testament to how truly pretty the fragrance is that it appeals to so many. The cherry blossom and musk are prominent, with patchouli coming in as a strong third to my nose. I get the amber, sandalwood, and cinnamon all in the background, too. It’s definitely got a spicy quality to it. The vanilla sweetens up the fragrance, but it doesn’t come across like frosting the way some B&BW vanilla notes can. When I originally bought Japanese Cherry Blossom, I wore it when I wanted to feel grown up; now, this makes me feel young, uncomfortably so. I have so many memories associated with it, most good, but it’s crazy how scent can take you back to another time and place. I don’t think this will ever go back into my regular rotation for that simple reason; ten years has changed me, and I want to let this scent belong to the girl I was then.

I wore this through my junior and senior years in high school. It is too strong for my taste now, but the scent always reminds me of those days. I remember thinking it smelled the most “sophisticated” of all the scents sold there.

love this sooooo much! my second bottle now, running out and will purchase again. It smells strong at first spray but it dries down into something creamy and sexy and fresh.! It’s just so good! If you find it too strong, please just wait for the dry down. it will change your mind! sooooo goood

I have the Bath & Body Works fragrance mist and the body lotion. I’m pretty sure the notes are the same except for the body lotion which kind of smells like it but it contains a grape seed scent and of course being a body lotion is naturally creamier and milkier. The fragrance mist is so cheap I regret buying it. It’s on me no longer than 20 to 30 minutes and I have to reapply it constantly. I smelled a distinct apple scent and a smaller hint of pear and plum. The rest of the time it smelled of the cherry blossom, a dainty rose and vanilla. Easy to wear, a pick-me-up scent to wear after a shower. With the body lotion on and then the fragrance on top of that it smells great but the sillage and projection is poor. It should have a longer life span because of the notes which make it seem more full bodied than it actually is. It’s sweet girly and very pretty but nothing to go wild about. I wear it after my shower when I’m using the body lotion only to match the lotion with the fragrance. To anyone looking to buy this fragrance I recommend whatever they have (EDP or EDT) but not the Fragrance Mist.

This scent really surprised me, I was not expecting this, well done B&B because this is gold. On me it smells really musky and woody and sexy!. I smell flowers and despite it smelling mature I think it would suit any woman of any age

    I am NEVER without it.
I use it as a “mixer” for more expensive balsamic/oriental fragrances that would go syrupy sweet on me otherwise (Amouage Memoir is a favorite), and never fail to get a “Damn, girl, you smell amazing!”
Alone, it’s a soft, mildy musky floral. Very work-friendly.

Some fragrances and body lotions are not suited for a
Caribbean climate or hot weather. Methinks B&BW’s “Japanese Cherry Blossom” (JCB) perfumes and products are in this category. The lotion, which is quite expensive in my country I might add, gives off this stale sour fruity odour when exposed too much to heat. In this case its super fruity gone gut wrench sour and I say this because at $70 to $90TT a pop and at $400TT for a perfume, its really not a child’s play buy.
I really like B&BW products, give me Cashmere Glow, Exotic Coconut, Warm Vanilla Sugar, A Thousand Wishes(cream) and Sensual Amber (I have the beautiful lotion, a yummy orange dream cream) but “JCB” needs to be used in a place where there is either high air-conditioning or in cold wintry months which we don’t have in my country. Add this to the fact that sweat and body chemistry does something to that high fruit scent and you got the potential for a downright stinker. I hope those who can, enjoy “JCB” but in hot climate, purchase with caution and once opened, use it up fast so it doesn’t spoil. Ah, all for the appreciation of perfume……

I’ve chosen Japanese Cherry Blossom for my first review here because it was my first ‘real’ perfume purchase and signature for years. I got it after using the BBW Cherry Blossom body splash for a few years and wanting a more lasting version of that scent. The sandalwood was also a huge draw (it’s been one of my favourite smells ever since I bought a carved sandalwood fan in Japan).
JCB’s scent on me is mostly slightly musky cherry blossoms with a hint of pear/apple and a faint sandalwood undercurrent. The fruits are strong in the opening and mostly fade away as sandalwood comes out in the drydown. This sandalwood is more the wood shavings variety than the thick and creamy kind. There’s nothing necessarily wrong with that, but I prefer the latter type, which smells more like the real deal to me.
JCB can be a little too sweet&sour and piercing if my nose isn’t in the mood for it. It’s only a couple of hours before I have to dig my nose into my skin to smell the woody drydown. I don’t know if I just become anosmic after a while and others can still smell it, and I don’t like not knowing that. Other reviews indicate it does get a lot of hate, and some people are really sensitive to it. It was also oversaturated in its day and doesn’t have much to make it stand out in a sea of sweet and musky florals. I’ve gotten into heavier scents over time that make this one feel like it’s only half a scent sometimes–top and heart notes with only a suggestion of what the base would have been.
It is what it says on the tin: mostly cherry blossom with a few background players that dries down to cherry-tinted sandalwood shavings. There’s a faint powderiness that usually keeps it from feeling too sticky or turning on me unless it’s too hot. Perfumes of this style, especially florals, can turn really easily on my radiator skin. I used to wear it all year round, even living in Texas, but keep it to fall and spring now. Sillage is moderate drying down to soft, or my nose is broken. One major thing in its favour is the cost. I can’t remember how much I paid (maybe around USD$30), but you get a big bottle for not a lot of money.
I can’t hate on it because of what it represents to me, and clearly it’s been good to others given its popularity, but sometimes things just don’t fit us right anymore. Maybe I’ll find something that layers perfectly with you, JCB, and then we can see more of each other again.

Bath and Body Works is out to prove that great fragrance doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg. And although, I do spend $$$ on my fragrances, it’s nice to find some for the collection that are inexpensive. JCB is one such fragrance. I still have an original bottle from its launch. It never disappoints. It’s very fragrant, suitable for all year.

This has grown on me. It smells like cold cream. It is a ladylike fragrance, and I think I’ll be wearing it more often.
Update: This is the only fragrance my boyfriend actually enjoys on me. He thinks it’s yummy!

The Oriental Fragrance That Is Japanese Cherry Blossom
There are many superb Orientals like Shalimar, Emeraude, Samsara and Mitsuoko that are timeless and beloved perfumes. While Japanese Cherry Blossom by Bath and Body Works are nowhere near the level of sophistication of Shalimar, this is no less an Oriental. The fragrance might not last very long, and the projection and sillage is poor, but it’s like a little breeze when you spray it, a light gust of wind from the Orient, blowing cooly on cherry blossom. In Japan, the cherry blossom is the equivalent to the rose in England; it’s their signature flower. These fragrant flowers grow on trees caressed by winds and are found even in the gardens of the Imperial Palace. Everywhere in Japan you see the pink and white cherry blossoms remindng you where you are: in the Far East. This fragrance is subtle but it takes you to Japan for at least a couple of minutes. I found it sweet and comfortng, like drinking green tea under a cherry blossom and under a delicious breeze.
    NOTES IN JAPANESE CHERRY BLOSSOM
    Head Notes: Plum Pear Apple
Heart Notes: Mimosa Tuberose Lily Rose Japanese Cherry Blossom
Base Notes: Sandalwood, Amber, Patchouli Cinammon Himalayan Cedar Musk Vanilla Oakmoss
It sounds like a richly layered aroma but there is such a thin lightness that does not make it as smoky and dark as more popular classic Orientals. This is such a sweet young thing, like a little Japanese school girl putting on a fragrance that smells just like the cherry blossoms she passes by on her way to school every day. That made me think that this fragrance can even be worn by children, by young girls, and it would be a far more sophisticated alternative than the sugary synthetic floral fruity perfumes sold by Disney in their Princess line. This is rather an eau de toilette and too effervescent and light for a concentrated perfume. It can also serve as air freshner spray for your house: for the bathroom, the living room, the den. The sweetness is heady and comes from the fruits in the top notes: plum, pear and apple. I absolutely love these fruits and was beyond happy to discover that it had no citrus! The bergamot that is omnipresent in most fragrances is not here! And that is exactly what I wanted. No citrus! No oranges, lemons lime or grapefruit! There is no greeness to this fragrance either. Green notes, if any, are minimal and light. The heart of the fragrance has a subdued mimosa, lily, rose and tuberose. The real star of the fragrance, hence it’s name, is the Japanese cherry blossom. This is in the depth of the fragrance and what you mostly get. It’s like smelling cherry blossoms in a garden in Japan. It’s 100 percent natural and accurate. The cherry blososms take over and the base notes are so distant. I didn’t get any woods (sandalwood and cedar) amber, patchouli musk or oakmoss. Only two base notes stand out: vanilla and cinammon. For whatever reason, my nose and skin can pick up on base notes almost immediately and I was able to identify the cinnamon and vanilla. It totally sweetens the fragrance adding yet another saccharine layer already provided by the fruits in the head notes. Musk? What musk? If they had really layed on the musk and the woods it would have turned the fragrance into an ORIENTAL CHYPRE and then and only then would it compare to the Shalimar that is so beloved in the all-inclusive world of perfumery. There is no way this stuff has patchouli even though it’s listed in the base notes. Patchouli, more of it, would have given the fragrance soem incense and smoke of which this has none. Ultimately, the sweetness of this aroma, the flowers and fruits make Japanese Cherry Blossom what is now being termed as a FLORIENTAL. It’s more about the flowers than the woody notes. But this is very nice. Don’t overlook this fragrance when going scent-shopping. It’s very affordable at any Bath and Body Work store, and online on Amazon.com. It has a practical purpose beyond just a perfume you wear. It’s great air freshner or car freshner. As perfume, it’s really more a skin scent as it clings to your skin closely and wears off rather quickly, suitably worn as an after-you’ve-taken-a-shower skin freshner or eau de toilette. This bottle is so obviously asking to be kept in the bathroom behind that mirror you open by the marble counter. For me this is the perfume version of green tea. So calming and soothing and delicious. I spray it over the bedding and pillows of my bed to help me to go to sleep. I liek to spray it in my house as well to walk around in the aroma, especially after having been to Hong Kong and wanted to take the fragrance of the Orient back home to Manhattan with me. Taking this with me is like bringing Japan into my home.
I was enchanted with Japanese Cherry Blossom. It’s a lovely floral from the Orient, and although simple, airy and even ephemeral, it just smells so good that you are transported, if for a little while, to Japan where the grow cherry blossoms are there to welcome you, comfort you, and give you pleasure every time.

I love oriental woody fragrances and this would be my favorite B&BW scents. (actually the only one I personally care for)
Absolutely LOVE the cherry blossom and the woodsy notes on this; to me, this brings up an image of ~15th century high class Japanese courtesans. Elegant, refined, and composed.

Bought it when it first came out as a blind buy, and its now my signature fragrance. Due to allergies/asthma I’ve stayed away from perfumes for a long while, and this one’s a bit sentimental since it was the first perfume I picked for myself (I was clueless, I grew up in the 80’s where frags had to be loud enough to scream at you across a crowded parking lot, and so I just used my mom’s perfume.) I’m now ‘re-discovering fragrances and have found a few I actually like which totally shocked me at first, but this floral woodsy composition will always have a top spot in my memories.

I love it! Got it along with Amber Blush for my birthday. It’s musky sweet and floral. It’s mature but not grandma mature. Any age can wear it. It’s long lasting and the silage is great. I can see why it’s been around for as long as it has.

I have the body mist and the body cream.
When I sprayed the body mist on my wrist, my thoughts were: “I smelled this too many times before on older women”. It reminded me of the strict school principal when I was in grade school.
The start was too floral and too musky, it made me feel dizzy and it gave me a throbbing headache. The smell gets better as it dries down — it becomes less musky.
The body cream smells great. It can stand alone without the body mist 🙂

I’ve never liked the Japanese Cherry Blossom line, at all, and this is no exception. Unfortunately, because I love the aesthetics of the actual Sakura flowers, my mother kept insisting on getting it for me in all its iterations – lotion, spray, body wash, etc. It’s so overwhelmingly floral and woody and musky, and something about such scents always smell sour and headache-inducing on me. I would put on the lotion at the beginning of the day after showering and still get nasty whiffs of it every time I moved. Ick.

This is one of those scents that just does not work with my body chemistry. It smells lovely in the store but when I wear it the smell is exactly like a musty basement. Try the mini bottles first if you tend to have this same problem with scents.

Got this as a gift(along w/the shower gel and lotion) and I don’t care for this scent at all IMO its way too heavy on the floral note…..I’m happy its in a small bottle so I can use it up and be done with it….B&BW has soooo many other better scents than this! and for those that might like this scent this scent lasts all day and night.

Got this one as a gift from a friend… I was truly surprised because big designer perfumes have nothing on Japanese Cherry Blossoms. It has sweet/floral top notes and, though not mentioned here, I sense some wood notes. I used to wear just a bit and it would smell for quite a while.

I don’t remember which year this scent was created, but was probably the signature scent of some woman I knew, when I was a baby or a child. Maybe the reason why I truly love it is for nostalgic reasons, so much that whenever I get a whiff of it, I can hear the song ‘Hasta Manana’ by Abba in my mind. And peach coloured kimono type silk brocades with scarlet cherry blossom print. On me, it turns fruity & woody. Towards the end I get Vanilla & Sandalwood. I find it romantic and youthful. Reminds me very slightly of the red apple Nina Ricci and also somewhat reminds me of Life by Esprit, mabye not smell-wise but these three evoke a similar spirit of youth, sweetness and romance to my nose.

I don’t like this fragrance. I find the musky plum sandalwood combination boring. It’s not horrible, but it’s not the least bit interesting or captivating. It smells cheap.

I only smell the cherry blossom and a woody scent that I can’t identify, but I like it. It last through-out the day, yet I can wear it in the office without offending anyone. It’s good year round, but I really love it in the summer. It is one scent I remember a man noticing and telling me that I smelt great.

Inexpensive, good smelling, cute bottle. I had this awhile back and I don’t have anymore as of now but I have always been pleasantly surprised by how fresh each bottle seems to smell, considering it is manufactured in such a large quantity! If you are looking for an inexpensive, no top of the line perfume that smells nice, this is for you. It’s tropical but dark at the same time, not a smell many fragrances tend to capture. For its avalibility and price, 9/10. 🙂

Japanese Cherry Blossom (JCB)is falling out of favor with me. Maybe it’s just seasonal as we are in Autumn and Winter is just around the corner. Have gifted the Body Creme and Hand Soap to an elderly relative and have been wearing the EDT as a work scent. Can’t say there have been many compliments other than an occassional question as to what am I wearing.
I don’t pry people and only accept what they offer, therefore, don’t know if their mention was positive or negative? Every once in a while lately, JCB is seeming a little unisex and that is just not me as I am 100% genuine woman. Absolutely NO crossover scents please!
Most BBW products are pleasant and safe around children and elderly, but unisex scents do try to creep into the market at times and am grateful for Fragrantica to help us keep things straight. I do not want to smell like a man. Maybe I’ll just go ahead and ask what others think about JCB in a kindly way.
We have one child in the family who is very allergic to fig. I am always searching the ingredients in products used in our life to avoid any problems and am always looking for fragrances that will bring happiness and life to our home and those around us.
Thank you Fragrantica for all the information your site provides. It is such a JUNGLE out there!

I have worn this for so many years, it smells nice, but is not something I would consider fancy. It is what it is: a Bath & Body Works scent. It is an easily recognizable scent, everybody knows what you’re wearing and where you got it from. Pretty but common.

I really love this scent but I can only dab it on very lightly as it just seems so overwhelming to me after some time. The scent seems to linger longer than most BBW fragrances though, which is good!

@CherieBeary73, I was looking at this one the other day and I almost bought it. You got a really good deal on it. I sampled it and for some reason, I couldn’t stop sniffing my arm. It actually ended up lasting a really long time on me. I might have to pick one up before that sale ends. I ended up really loving this one. By the way, love that our screen names sound so similar!! LOL.

I just picked this one up at the Bath and Body Works Semi annual sale for $7. I took shower in the shower gel, used the lotion and sprayed the EDT on me several times through out the day. I can barely smell it on me. It is a very awesome scent, but I think this will join my other bedtime perfumes since I rather wear ones that last during the day. It’s so frustrating when fragrances don’t last!

I feel like this scent always stood out from what I consider to be rather cheap smelling and forgettable products endlessly dispensed from BBW. I was drawn to the Japanese aesthetic as a teenager. This scent appealed to me because it felt mysterious, sophisticated, individualistic. For me, it was a fragrance that reinforced my view of myself that I was very different from most of my peers – above the fruity sweet nonsense. The most recent reviewer below me has inspired me to wander back into BBW and pick this one up again. I, too wore it to death until I couldn’t stand it anymore – it’s been well over five years since I stopped wearing it daily and I think it’s time to reconnect.

Oh man, when I was in my late teens and really early 20s, this was my end all, be all fragrance. I wore this scent to death for almost three years straight (and I wore nothing else, aside from Tommy Girl once in a while). After that, I developed an aversion to it, to the point of hating it for over five years. I wore out my love for Japanese Cherry Blossom for a long time.
A few days ago, I ventured to a Bath & Body Works to try some of their newer scents. For some reason, Japanese Cherry Blossom called to me, and I decided to try out the body lotion. I’m happy to report that I’m back to really enjoying this fragrance again! I plan on buying some of the body products in the future after I finish off my other scents. Until then, I’ll just enjoy the candle I purchased. 🙂
