I can’t say I dislike this perfume. It just doesn’t fit any personal frangrance niche in my arsenal. Citrus, orange peco & cypress Doesn’t last a very long time – not all day at the office w/out a touchup.
To keep it useful I use it to sweeten the air around the catbox. It works nicely keeping the bathroom habitable.

this is a nice scent , I remember buying this one at a cvs.. they had this real nice department in which they carried a lot of the better designer fragrances, like 212, some caron scents and many others, as I tested some of them, this one intrigued me more than most others..it was different and I kept going back to it , finally purchased it. it reminded me of a scent I used to wear a long time ago from a company called romane products..it was very similar to a scent they marketed called piccolo mondo..I always enjoyed that scent but could never find it again, I see it had been removed from their cologne lines. I still like to wear this now and again, it is refreshing and has a quality to it that again is different enough to stand out for me. nice bottle and packaging , it came in a cylindrical tube. so just a great presentation. I like this. there is a spice note that just stands out for me.

Black Jack, in general, is my secret weapon. Have a look around – at reviews here, basenotes, elsewhere: nobody really knows about it. I certainly never would have, except a friend of mine was given a copy to review for a fashion magazine when it debuted. Silver gave way to black, gave way to blue – I now have about 8oz of each of them, just in case the tent folds.
JB’s Signature series is hoidy, but not hoidy-toidy; Saks vs CVS, but still cowers under the massive cost of some of the niche houses. As far as I can see, you get the stuff in only one format – 3.4 oz. There’s no halfway option. It’s an investment, relatively rare in brick-and-mortars, and where it is available, it is dwarved by higher end options in more economical bottles. Put it all together, and it adds up to a neat little rarity for the adventurous buyer.
The buyer might be adventurous, but the scent is not. This is a good thing.
At this point, I suppose I should leap into pretention, and talk about the brush of bergamot whispering across cypress… but I’m not going to do that. I find such florid descriptions ultimately useless as true representation of a scent in print. What I will say is that it is incredibly clean, with a noticible accent of sass – It’s a white Panama hat, with the brim bent down and worn on at slightly rakish angle.
You’ll notice that the reviews below mention the lack of zowie – which is as it should be for this scent. It’s best worn carelessly, casually; “I’m not here to impress you – it’s just how I roll…” Which, in itself, exudes style far beyond a nosepuncher… If you can carry off the attitude as a whole, rather than let your scent do your talking for you.
As for business… mmmeh. It kind of sends the message, “I’d rather be in the sun” rather than “Hand me that EOM Report – I’ll stomp it flat in a glance.” Keep it sunny; keep it cool. Keep it for days when the world calls you out into the day, and not into a cubicle.

Nice. A well behaved scent that smells to me like a slightly peppery sort of Old Spice (which, sadly, is my reference spice scent, having grown up in the Sixties). I agree with jazz444: it’s not flashy but it is wearable. No real WOW factor, but nice.

This cologne smells like a classy barbasol shaving cream, with mild tobacco tones and slight herbal tones. Its for a businessmen looking to gain credibility and nostalgia.

A dependable, well-made wood (with a touch of spice) that announces its presence throughout the day without being flashy about it. A scent that is welcome everywhere I wear it–office, dinners, shoreline, etc.
