The oud is only prominent in the beginning, then it becomes barely detectable, leaving the rest VERY similar to the original; I don’t recommend spending the extra 200.

I recently blind purchased Irish Oud based on my love of Irises and Oud. I am not disappointed. This may be my new favorite perfume even though the iris is subtle. To me, this is green juniper. It reminds me of late spring in my granny’s back yard when the irises are still in bloom and the sun heats up the juniper trees warming their scent. I catch myself smelling my wrist over and over. The oud in this is a slight smoke; a very pure one at that. I am so enamored with this scent. I give it a stron 9 out of 10.

A green, smooth iris scent — indeed more iris-ish compared with the original (and much cheaper) one. I thought I detected galbanum here, but whatever as long as it is not listed here.
With the smooth decay of iris, the powdery light leather gloves notes comes up gradually. Compared with the original one, the leather note is more on the powdery side than the ambery side.
Overall a nice iris-leather scent with considerable performance, but it has to be noted that it comes with a great price.
