This needs more reviews so I will add one. I have a vintage bottle of Intoxication that I received from a perfumista friend (along with a few other vintage D’Orsays: Divine and Fantastique)
It was a goopy brown resin in the bottle but smelled fine so I rubbed it into my skin. Reminds me a bit of Bal a Versailles but without the civet bang that one finds in BaV. I can’t pinpoint any specific notes, it’s really that mossy vintage feel of opening a closet full of fur coats your grandmother wore and there are still traces of her perfume lingering on the collar. I believe this one smells a lot better in the air surrounding me than it does pressing my nose to my skin.
It’s a funky smell, not bad at all but definitely unlike anything one finds in stores these days.

Spicy Oriental overtones on a smoky, boozy, oakmoss base. What’s not to like? I have it in vintage eau de toilette and parfum. It evokes a sense of mystery and if you like spicy scents like Shalimar, this is not to be missed.

What a charming and tricky vintage fragrance. It has an impression of alcohol notes like a sparkling wine; hence the name. Effervescent citrus overtones with a heady floral center; a little hard to pin down. Something dry and powdery: violet or lily of the valley, maybe some rose? Solid, bewitching oakmoss base. Classic, but surprisingly not dated; deliciously wearable today, and wonderfully unique.
