Description
Inis Arose is a beautiful, fresh, floral fragrance which sends a message of peace and understanding from Ireland to the whole world, a perfume which celebrates magic of love and life, while opening its fresh heart to everyone. It was inspired by Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, painted on Boticelli’s “The Birth of Venus”. A bottle with green outlines presents rebirth, new buds of spring, while its stopper symbolizes a drop of water. The perfume was created of aromas of sunny Sicilian lemon, bergamot, geranium, lily of the valley and cyclamen. A heart includes pink May rose of Grasse, white rose, Damask rose absolute, with a trail of Turkish rose attar. Base notes give depth to this fragrance with accords of patchouli, sandalwood, Madagascar vanilla, incense, musk and Atlas cedar. The perfume is available as 30, 50 and 100ml, with an accompanying body care program. Inis Arose was launched in 2002.

My sister used to wear this, but says they changed the formula. I was thinking of getting her this for Christmas. Has anyone been wearing it for more than 8 years? Did it change? Have they changed it back? I know when a perfumery re-released one of my fave’s it wasn’t quite the same.

I loved this fragrance and think I need to add it to my collection again. I bought it on a trip to Ireland with my family and whenever I smell it I’m transported back to very fond memories of my time there. Best vacation buy I’ve ever made!

I get the impression of a newly cut lawn in the clean morning air, dewdrops on the petals of the roses, so beautiful, sweet and clean, you just want to breathe in deeply to capture this moment..Very beautiful, feminine, sweet and soft rose blended with Lily of the Valley. I do not get much citrus, vanilla or patchouli from it. In the drydown I get a soft musk.A very pleasant scent, can only recommend it.

Such a pretty rose perfume but then PATCHOULI. So not for me. The patchouli is just too big & drowns out the lemon, cedar, vanilla. If you like rose, lemon & patchouli, you should try this. It has good sillage & lasts at least 6 hours on my skin. I just can’t get rid of this because I like the rose but I never wear it. Sits forlornly unused on the shelf.

My nan just came back from visiting my sister in Ireland and brought a bottle of this back with her (and one for my mum). She absolutely loved Inis, and offered me to test Inis Arose. I never thought I’d be big on florals, but this is just so beautiful. I’ve always adored roses, and now maybe it’s time for me to start wearing rose scents. It’s the kind of fragrance that doesn’t have an age limit; it’s gorgeous on my nan, my mum, and now me.

This is my 4th Fragrances of Ireland and frankly the best. I have been on the ultimate rose search all of my life. This little known house has custom made this for my needs. Rose is so common a note, yet so difficult to capture the heart of a perfume. Inis arose does so effortlessly.
Rose perfumes in the past were always sought after affairs. La Rose Jacqueminot is legendary. Chamade brings me to tears. Nahema was enormous in its power. YSL Paris was epic rose with other flowers worked in. Inis arose is modern classic that few have discovered.
The roses here are lucid and clearly defined. Its anything but a soliflore. It opens like a fresh spring morning after it rained the night before. Then various roses weave in and out of each other. They are in all stages of bloom and colors. There is a bottom note somewhere that lends some support.
It is soft and doesn’t last very long. Its not too feminine either. This is perfect for me. I use it as toner/after shave in the morning as my face loves rose. Its softens quickly and discreetly. On lazy weekends it is so comfortable!
I am so tired of the current parade of synthetic rose varieties that jam up the market and linger for several hours. There is no stale powder rooms or worse funeral home rot here. That is my ugly rose association. This is a beauty!
The first thing I think of when I think of Ireland is hills of green. The ever elusive rose always comes to mind as well. This is that imaginary rose of my dreams.

Starts out very fresh, not unlike the leaves of lemon scented geranium, but melds into a creamy soft bouquet of pink and white baby roses, no sharp thorns on these roses. This could easily be mistaken for one of the higher priced Les Parfums de Rosine.(I have three of them at $100/bottle) If you’re a lover of rose scented perfumes you won’t go wrong with this beauty.

Very pretty scent, reminds me of a crisp spring morning and the smell of flowers in the fresh dewy air. It’s very “green” when you first spray it on, but dries down quickly into a nice soft rose. This is a great summer/ spring fragrance.

Love this – beautiful fresh, clean, light rose/citrus/light musk scent. Like a fresh breeze.

This is beautiful, a refreshing waterfall of dewy florals. Also disappointed with staying power though.
amiros1 – :
A soapy rose fragrance with Jovan musk-style base notes- very basic and non-linear and disappointing staying power- not for me-

My first perfume! Gorgeous, flowery but really natural, not artificial at all! Love it 🙂

I love Innis Arose, another lovely scent from The Fragrances Of Ireland. I am a rose perfume lover so I was thrilled to find they made this one. I also love they have Madagascar vanilla in it,One of my favorite ingredients in perfume. If you are a rose scent lover, you will surely love this one. Give it a try.
