“I don’t like Wish, but I love Pure Wish…they have an entirely different spirit to me.
Pure Wish is innocent, soft, demure, a pure young girl who doesn’t realize she is sweetly sexy.
This fragrance is a harmonious balance between florals, fruits, and powdery patchouli. The pear and red currant were most prominent in its opening notes on my skin. After an hour or so I could detect the white flowers, patchouli, and a touch of vanilla. Dry-down was a beautiful sandalwood patchouli and lingering caramel.
Lasting power is about five hours for me. This is great for winter..it warms my body and encircles my clothes like a soft fur.
And as a bottle-fanatic, I have to add the the bottle is simply stunning in its elegance! :)”

A very light version of Avon Rare Pearls.

At first spray I was a bit scared. It was like being caught naked in sudden bright lights, vulnerable and overexposed!
It’s fruity and slightly sour, the comfort and warmth I was expecting wasn’t there! Being used to the original which I like I just assumed this frankly would be a lighter version and had only grabbed it as it was a tenner in a local store…
Suspect it’s the yuzu and the redcurrant I smell first with a hint of citrus but it slowly dries down to a more vanillic caramel thankfully and does get better, that comfort does appear but it’s too much of a thin blanket for me.

I don’t get a lot of sillage or longevity out of this. I certainly wouldn’t pay the huge prices online for this, I’d much rather get a giant bottle of the original!

Why on earth has this been discontinued will always be a mistery to me.
It’s one of the most wonderful oriental vanillas one can have in their collection!
I always get compliments at work, both women and men are stopping by to get a whiff, I always get oooh and ahhhh and I hope that Chopard will bring it back to the market!
    Very feminine, seductive fragrance.
Hats off for Nathalie Lorson for creating such a gem.
    Score: 10/10

This fragrance was on me only floral-citrusy, I am disappointed. 🙁 No caramel, no vanilla, no warmy notes.. :(((((

Updated review: I have had this lovely long enough to get well acquainted. She may seem like a shy and delicate version of her big Sis ‘Wish’ yet she is so very different in character. She is definitely pure with her fruity-vanillic aura which ripens to a creamy woody caramella drydown. I love that the note pyramid is quite detectable in P.W. yet, the top notes still linger during the drydown making her unique. She is a gentle fruity ambery vanillic lady with an edge! A burst of summery fruit greet you at the opening, rendering a bright quality to this precious juice. Mandarin- orange mingles superbly with the succulent yuzu and the soft pear (quite noticeable and one of my favorite notes in a perfume). To liven things up a bit, comes the faint yet crisp red currant which zests things up. The middle notes are amazingly soft yet quite noticeable. I can detect an pink peppercorn note that reveals her fiery spirit, yet it is not sharp but has that patchouli vibe to it. It does project a beautiful cool note of Lilly of the Valley even as the vanilic base notes make their appearance. Fresh and light becomes warm and velvety on my skin. The pear lingers still while the caramel emerges. It is simply gorgeous with it’s creamy sandal and cedarwood drydown . She goes on sprighly, mellows to a delicious vanillic and caramel powdery drydown that stays close to the skin yet radiates quite nicely, giving off sweet and cuddly whiffs of pure pleasure. To me, she is nothing like my beloved Wish, yet I love her just as much!

This one was a blind buy which I donot regret. This Wish is one of purity and calm to me. Nothing to do with the Angel-like Wish. She is tame, fruity, soft and a delight to wear during Fall. The drydown is ever so cozy and warm yet endures and still morphs as time goes by. It does have that Innocent Angel vibe to it but the sillage and longevity are softer and more lingering . Edit to come!

i find it very strong when 1st sprayed.. very alcohol like. as it dries it becomes nearly undectable, but not quite. it reminds me of an old fashioned type perfume, but not in a bad way. i don’t really get much citrus with this, but it’s very powdery, softly sweet and definitely a skin scent on me. it does last over 3 hrs tho.

I am really sorry to say that I don’t smell caramel and vanilla in this one at all!
It is just so, so light that I almost can’t smell the fragrance!
Even in my clothes it doesn’t stay, very weak lasting power and sillage. 🙁
It is a pitty, since when I can smell the fragrance (very lightly and almost never) it is good, but I can hardly smell it.
Edit (July 2014): I don’t find this so weak anymore, nice fragrance, different from all others I know, excelent for day use in fall/winter.

Pure Wish is such a fresh fruity – floral juice!
Like hardly any other fragrance, I actually loved it from the first spritz.
The opening is sparkling bursting with fruity freshness of pear, redcurrant and yuzu. (like zesty yuzu in Bright Crystal!)
The heart reveals fresh bouquet of cyclamen, light patchouli and lily of the valley. I can’t smell any pimento in it, though.
The base is a dream – caramel, vanilla and woodsy notes combination is like a soul soother 🙂
I can’t smell slightest resemblance to Angel. Angel and Pure Wish are like day and night for me.
Pure Wish is a gorgeous essence of fruity freshness, delicate florals and lovely calming base.
The projection is lovely; the fragrance evolves, it is multi dimensional.
Silage and lasting power are really impressive; on me it lasts nearly as long as its predecessor – Wish.
It scores 10/10 even though it is not a typical oriental vanilla. Too little vanilla and too many fruit to be called oriental vanilla but it doesn’t bother me at all.
    I love it.

Pure Wish is an interesting fragrance in the sense that it has three definitive changes throughout the scent pyramid. The transitions are often difficult to detect in some scents, but with Pure Wish the journey is very clear.
The fragrance opens with quite a sharp alcoholic accord, which reminded me of sanitizing wipes. As it settled, sour yuzu and juicy pear tended to overwhelm the senses. For the first ten or so minutes, I was wondering how this fragrance was a flanker of Wish, (a blatant rip-off of Angel), with it’s chocolatey and dark oriental feel.
Before I could question any further, Pure Wish merged into the heart which was a unique blend of powdery patchouli, fiery chilli and musk. Indeed this fragrance is quite ‘pure’ and angelic in the way that it makes you feel clean and pretty with its soft powderiness and subtle soapiness.
Smouldering seductively underneath it all is a much earthier patchouli note with gooey caramel and sweet, fluffy vanilla. It’s like the girl that goes to church every Sunday with black lace panties. It’s a sexy secret which only emerges when you strip back all the layers.
It’s quite a cuddly and Wintery scent, however the citrus in the opening makes it wearable during Spring too. This is thankfully not a rip-off of Thierry Mugler’s Innocent, which was what I was initially fearing it to be.
The longevity is really impressive, so good that I was shocked to learn that this was an EDT. I would like to thank the generous Adrien02 for having given me a bottle of Pure Wish during her Spring giveaway. I love this fragrance dearly and can not wait to wear it in the coming Winter months.

    pure wish is wearable comfort.
the vanilla note is strongest and the flowers and fruits blend to give enough zest. it’s luckily never to heavy, as long you don’t overdo it. it’s not a scent for going out but to cuddle and feeling homely. my niece (5) loved it – there are not many scents children like…
won’t buy a new bottle though.

This is powder soft on my skin, and lasts and lasts.
It’s the fragrance equivalent of cashmere sweater worn against bare skin, with the merest hint of citrus at the beginning and the perfect balance of patchouli and floral notes– but never sharp.
I am surprised to see there is pimento note in this creation, and also surprised by all the negative reviews. Just goes to show how different individual skin and body chemistries react.

Pure wish was a great disappointment for me – all I can smell is synthetic patchouli. The lasting power is very limited – no more than 2-3 hours, at least on my skin.

Funny story. I bought this fragrance and liked it a lot, not in love, but really liked. But when I wear it my husband always asking the same question: What’s this smell around you, like a baby vomit…. I didn’t tell him – it’s perfume:-) just do not wear it anymore. Such a dissapointment, because I like it alot!

The dry down of this perfume is amazing. It sweet but not sickly, the sandalwood, caramel and vanilla are very prominent on me. It sort of tugs at the ANGEL type strings, but this is much much classier.
