Description

The collection Les Infusions de Prada, symbol of Italian excellence, offers refined fragrances of distinctive character and focuses on the main ingredient of each release. Each of the scents from the collection reveals a different personality and brings a sense of confidence through its subtle intensity.

The new edition for 2016 comes out in the spring, dedicated to the sunny and tender mimosa blossom. Infusion de Mimosa consists of essences of anise and mandarin in the top notes, with the floral heart of mimosa and rose absolute resting on a subtle woody base.

The vintage fragrance bottles of the collection are decorated with the fashion house’s classic emblem, designed by Mario Prada in 1913. Available as a 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum. The nose behind this fragrance is Daniela (Roche) Andrier.

This has the hallmark prada smell and orange is the key player note here

I finally got it! what can I saY?
I love infusion iris and I love mimosa this is great combo 🙂
I know no iris but still it has that infusion style
it is very soft and as all infusions goes away quickly but still I love it

It’s a beautiful fragrance, like a Spring in the bottle. On my skin evolves very natural honied mimosa with fresh spicy orange and Woods.
It reminds a bit of Merveilles of Hermes which are my big love.
When Infusion d’Iris is clean and cold, this is warmer with flowery notes but still Infusion.
I realized I love mimosa and if you want it last longer and have a projection, try Eden, another mimosa “eden” 😉
Oh, just to add, Prada is becoming my favourite house beside Hermes.

Love, Love, Love!!! The only thing I can say that is negative about it is that it dissapates so quickly. Prada, please either make it stronger, or include an element that would give it staying power! It is beautiful on the spray on. Smells like the outdoors with a beautiful sweetness of wind. SImilar to Apre L’ondee of guerlain. So beautiful, but goes away. On me, it doesn’t even stay close on my skin. It just goes away. This is one that is best to enjoy when you are alone. Smell leisurely, then spray something else on yourself that will last longer.
Prade Amande, however, stays a lot longer. I get compliments on Amande, but sadly, no one, including myself, smells the Mimosa Infusion on myself.
Beautiful scent, but goes away very, very, quickly.

I’m a big fan of acacia in fragrances, but this one was only OK for me. An acacia note (more so than mimosa to my nose) that’s very airy and a little frosty and thin. It dries down to a clean, slightly latex-like white musk (similar to the almond Infusion) after a few hours.
It’s quite pleasant and easy to wear, but one of the weaker offerings in this series.

Linear, soft, ethereal, elegant perfume I loved from first sniff!
I will repeat Tatto LadyK’s words as they expressed my feelings too….
“…the juice is amazing, packed with sunshine and memories of strolling the sunny narrow streets of a Greek island, stone houses painted white with blue windows all around you and big flower pots with mimosas and bougainvilleas blooming under the sun…”
I’m Greek and put my signature on this!!

I want to say that it was love at first spritz, but it was rather more like a fling, because it did not last long. The longevity is low. However, the juice is amazing, packed with sunshine and memories of strolling the sunny narrow streets of a Greek island, stone houses painted white with blue windows all around you and big flower pots with mimosas and bougainvilleas blooming under the sun. Excellent notes and combination.

Greetings from Canada. The infusion series can be purchased at the bay, in house and online. I originally went in to buy infusion d’iris, the SA slammed me with the Mimosa and I was hooked. It’s delightful, delicate and gentle but not shy, she does get noticed

SAKS in NYC carries them. Aside from them, I’ve only seen them at Prada Boutiques

I’m stunned by this fragrance! I had to try it because it’s getting such good reviews and I hadn’t purchased Prada for some time. It’s delicious! Light but potent and alluring; a refreshing and magical addition to my fragrance collection, which I can still smell on my clothes 24 hours after wearing it. I highly recommend trying this beauty!

There are perfumes that touch our soul… Perfumes that transport us to different places, different times. Infusion de Mimosa is one of them for me.
Born and raised in the Mediterranean, mimosas are the summer, the sun,the carefree vacations of childhood. These magical little flowers that don’t look like flowers, but look and feel like little golden velvet ponpons,so soft and fragrant, always had me mesmerized!
Infusion de Mimosa, with its gentle, smooth, honeyed, sunny and natural scent, takes me back in time and puts a smile on my face.
Innocent and feminine, romantic and dreamy,it’s a promise of happiness,a whisper in our ears that all is good in this world…A promise that there will always be sunny days, happy young girls, carefree moments, endless summers, golden sunsets and sweet kisses…
To me,Infusion de Mimosa is the best of the Infusions line, the most natural smelling! Don’t expect big sillage or great longevity though. It’s mimosa… Mimosa is by nature shy, demure and fleeting. It will be noticed, but it will never impose and “scream” its presence. It will just make everyone around you want to hug you and stay there… Forever!

I’ve just tested it today while perfume browsing!
My initial impression was that it definitely wasn’t as appealing to me as the other infusion series, all of which I like, particularly Infusion d’Iris.
Mimosa has a slightly foosty smooth warm peachy floral feel. It has mimosa’s softness but it reminded me unfortunately of fruity floral bathroom cleaner gel and tissues – a sort of papery quality. Or a bit like cheap liquid soap maybe. The woody background smells synthetic and generally it’s not a patch on the lovely woody/floral/ vetiver/incense tones of IdI, or the soapy low key classiness of Infusion d’Oranger.
The orangeyness appears more into drydown and is quite pretty but not lovely (as for example the gorgeous orangey tones in Eau des Merveille or Hermes creations). The bathroom cleaner aspects calm down into drydown where it becoems prettier. It’s not too strong and the longevity seems average
On my other wrist I’m wearing Sur Le Nil by Hermes and the quality is far better. Bit dissapointed in Mimosa, but as always it’s all subjective so worth trying.
As mentioned, I love the other infusions!
