Sensual, dark and beautiful woody honeyed patchouli dupe of Gucci EDP by Gucci. VERY WELL DONE Avon!!! I LOVE it!

    Black iris, sandalwood and honey.
They are the actual notes for this perfume. I had a bottle years ago and loved it, and neber replaced it..until now. i got a set on ebay for 30 dolkars with the 50ml and a 9ml concentrate, a body lotion and an aerosol spray of imari seduction.
Given that i havent worn perfume body spray since high school i put that and the purse concentrate up for sale online and kept the cream and 50ml perfume.
i think ill always love this one, its sweet, spicy, smooth and has fantastic longevity for such a cheap price. Avon bring out so many frags every year it starts to get hard to tell them apart, but I have a special place in my heart for this one.
Also, the body cream goes really well under a lot of other perfumes, it gives a nice woody base and makes the scent hold much longer

First spray isn’t that great but the dry down is just beautiful. I can still smell it on my hand the next morning.

As always I am impressed with Avon. The honey/patch in this somewhat reminds me of Angel, but no sour berries, chocolate, cotton candy etc etc. this is infinitely more wearable. I love the amber woods base. This is the kind of scent that pulls people closer, very magnetic. Imari Mystique is a sweet woodsy delight.

I only have a little mini roller of Imari Mystique and it’s lovely – honeyish and alluring, actually ‘Mystique’ is a good name for it. Before I knew of the Gucci link a customer asked if I was wearing ‘Gucci X’ (can’t remember which), I looked thoughtful and said ‘I think so’ like I couldn’t remember what I put on that morning when really I was thinking ‘gotta look on Fragrantica’ and ‘yay, my Avon smells like Gucci’.

Imari Mystique is easily a unisex fragrance. On my skin, in dry weather, Imari Mystique begins with a strong blast of very spicy woods. Spices mix with strong cedar wrapped in deep dark honey. It does give the impression of sweet rich spiced tobacco. This phase lasts about 2 hours, then rose, jasmine, and iris bloom softly, soaked in thick dark honey and amber joined together with the spicy woods. Mystique is NOT powdery at all. The iris here is soft, silky.
After another hour passes, spices and florals recede leaving a very long lasting blend of deep sweet smooth patchouli, honey and amber that linger close to skin for another 8 hours.
One of my friends smelled Mystique on me and she just HAD to have it ! She normally wears Chanel Coco Noir and Lancome Magie Noir. I gave her a bottle of Mystique and she LOVES it ! She says it lasts MUCH longer and projects better than her Chanel Coco Noir ! She recently stocked up on Avon Mystique.
I’m so surprised that this is an Avon scent! It’s strong, smooth, unique, niche high quality with excellent endurance. I LOVE Mystique ! I’m thrilled to have found this wonderful treasure !

Every time I wear Imari Mystique, my spouse says the same thing: “Oh I see you have let loose the tiger this evening!” Every time without fail I hear about the tiger. And that leads to…
I don’t care what this smells like because I wear this for the passionate effect it has in my marriage! For some reason, this scent triggers the Tiger Hunter to stalk me around our house.
    Why didn’t I buy a lifetime supply?!?

This is a dark, sultry, date night perfume. But,there’s way too much patchouli. I can’t even smell the honey through this giant wall of patchouli!
I had the deodorant when this first came out,and it smelled like honey to me. But all I get in the perfume is patch! This needs more honey to balance it out.

I just bought a bottle, and I’m loving this. I think this is really lovely, and sexy. I’ve probably smelled Gucci by Gucci, in the dark bottle, but can’t remember. I’ll be sure to compare them now though. I go a little anosmatic to this when I’m wearing it, but I’m guessing from all the other reviews that it’s still pretty present. The bottle isn’t very pretty due to the cheap looking cap, and I wish Avon would make all their bottles pretty, not just a select few. The bottle design of their perfume “Luck” is super chic, and pretty.
I’m sure future purchases of this perfume will be done off Ebay, because it seems to have been discontinued. Why, oh why, does Avon discontinue to good ones?

Great stuff!! Amazing longevity 8+ hours on my dry olive complexion that doesn’t hold em long! Sillage is close to skin. This smells exactly like ARMANI DIAMONDS on side by side testing n actually lasts MUCH MUCH LONGER so amazing n at a mere fraction of price! WOW-WOW-WEEEEE!!!! Gonna start hoarding for sure!!! Also smells a little like GUCCI INTENSE n a sweeter version of Armani Si. IMHO of course! 😉

It’s sweet and woody, i like this combination on this scent because i feel it original and dark, very good fragance.

جذابیت این گونه رایحه درون سادگی و سرحال بودنش است
البته آون توانسته با ترکیب چوب و عسل و مقداری وسوسه یاس زیبائی به محصول خود بدهد.

Add another nice & cheap Avon to the pile. I do see the Gucci connection due to the honey & patchouli, but I actually find this one more similar to Chopard’s Wish. I get a lot of guava in Gucci. To me, it smells like Chopard Wish without all the fruit. Which makes Imari Mystique superior in my eyes. Similar milky honey scent and similar dusty patch.
Sweetness is nicely restrained. Light enough for day, but the woody notes and honey make it evening appropriate. I feel it could be worn any time of year and for most any occasion. Work safe. I actually was complimented on it by a co-worker about 8 hours into wearing. So longevity is impressive and sillage reasonable.

This is sadly discontinued but if you search on the auction sites you can still find a few bottles around. I bought the complete layering set, the lotion, body wash, powders, and deodorant along with the perfume for less than $20. If you layer them all the longevity is amazing. I could smell it very easily the next morning after layering them before bed. It is a soft scent that I feel will be enjoyed by those who do not want to offend others or simply want something that only engulfs them. I personally found it to be quite sexy. I do think that is the patchouli, because my skin really does well with it and I end up with a sexy earthy scent.
I really enjoy it and feel it is worth tracking down if you are looking for a bargain deal that doesn’t have that bargain smell. This one is a winner.

This is beautiful . Wonderful honey and patchouli , oh I love it ! I’m so sorry that Avon discontinued it. I bought 4 bottles to stock up . What were they thinking ?
    I love it !

This is a really nice scent for a bargain price and it’s a damn shame Avon discontinued it as I know several people who loved it. It is a very good dupe of Gucci’s Gucci by Gucci in the brown bottle. It is sensual dark musk with honey notes. It also smells like a fragrance from the 90s which is long discontinued – Revlon’s Fire & Ice smoulder which had very similiar smokey sweet notes. Unfortunately both of these smelled like laundry which has been left too long in the washing machine on me but on others they were lovely. Lovely but not on my chemistry.

I like irami seduction, and thought I’d like this as I like warm, sweet, woody, amber, patcholi basically everything listed.. but Imari Mystique turned really sharp sour smelling on me, wet moldy rose like.. Really disappointed. Silage was good, lasted about 5 hours.
    — UPDATE — The above was written during the late summer heat, it is now winter and with the cooler weather this is totally beautiful on me.. the moldy rose is gone. I get sweet honey, smokey woods and a light jasmine type floral..
I wish I knew exactly what note turns so sickly sour on me in the heat as this is not the first fragrance that turns terrible in the summer on me..

I have had so-so luck with Avon products. I also have a passion for spicy, warm frags and this one…it knocked me off my feet in the most wonderful way! The black iris and honey warm on my skin and all I can compare it to is this beautiful plum velvet colored dress I had a long, long time ago, I always wore it in the fall and winter and it flowed beautifully and wrapped around me, “ensconced in velvet” as George Costanza would say. This fragrance does just that-it initially is a powerful blast of golden honey and jasmine (I’m not a jasmine fan, so the first half-hour or so I’m kind of overwhelmed by the jasmine note), but then the dry down brings on the amber and the patchouli and what has to be cedar oil. Oh my gosh…the cedar! I think this is the note that kind of gives it that “masculine” bend, but I get this with Aqua di Parma as well (which I also love, love, love!) but unlike A di P, this settles into a sultry, sexy velvety mist around me, with the amber and the cedar lulling me into a luxurious, sex-kitten mood. I adore this fragrance! I wish I could wear it everywhere, every day but I can definitely foresee other people calling it “heady” or “potent”. I like that, but it’s not for everyone. It is for me, and I will hoard it as I find it! Bravo, Imari Mystique! Bravo!
***EDIT Sept. 20, 2013*** I wore this today as the weather has turned colder here in the mountains. It’s drier now, less humid-and the difference has affected the notes in this frag for me. I smell tobacco! Of all things…it’s SPENT tobacco, as in ‘ashtray-ish’. It’s not BAD, like it doesn’t smell as though I rubbed cigarette ashes all over me, but it reminds me of a very well-heeled, pretty woman who wears perfume and happens to be a smoker. The blend is…sort of ‘dirty’ in a good way. I don’t know how else to express that. The sweet edge of this honeyed frag is definitely curttailed by the drier air and the smokiness has become very pronounced. I still love this, and I’ll add that I think layering it with the lotion really emphasizes the smoke as well, as I find that note is very pronounced in the lotion-not so much in the spray. This still makes me feel very lush and pretty. Even with the ‘spent tobacco’ lingering in the air. (It would not surprise me in the least if someone asked me if I was a smoker today…LOL)

Avon Imari Mystique is a really nice perfume on it’s own. I can really smell the amber, honey and woodsy in this fragrance.. and with the other notes, they are all very well balanced. very long lasting, 6 hours and i still can smell it now and the drydown is lovely. my first impression on the first spray smell quite plasticky but once it dries down, you will smell the wonderful notes so wait. it is perfumy, it sweet but not fresh and fruity , sweet. people can notice. it not giving me an headace.
the quality is really good, eventough it’s in eau de toillete but the quality is as good as eau de parfum. the bottle is not much interesting, it half black s6 u don’t know how much it in the bottle . good fragrance, honey are obviously the best character for this fragrance and it very affordable.

    TOP-rose petals, black honey
HEART-jasmine sambac, black irises, warm amber
BASE- patchouli, black pralines and sexy woods
I smell the patchouli most strongly, and also the rose/ jasmine combo.

Suprisingly pleasant! Honeyed woods, very sweet. Doesn’t have a strong alcohol note like many inexpensive scents. After a while a soft floral shines through and Mystique becomes less sweet, more smokey and powdery. It is very strong on me and lasts for hours–probably not for office wear, but perfect for a night out. Great buy for the money–especially if you like “notice me” ‘fumes.

  22. :

This one’s not for me!! too sweet for my liking, especially at first spray, it smells like honey, candies, and sugared berries! After awhile the faint woody scent started to develop which makes it more pleasant to the nose, but the sugary scent is still too strong to save the perfume. i dont get any of that floral note it claimed to have either. To me, it doesnt smell seductive or mysterious at all, it smells just like any other cheap sweet, perfume out there. I shall stick to my bvlgari jasmin noir if seductive is what i want.
The perfume bottle looks cheap and plasticky too, i guess what you pay is what you get!
    * probably good for get-up-and-go occasions, or those situations where u know you will stink eventually, such as before gym or mountain hiking etc…

This smells like very dark woods, almost masculine to me. Mystique is a good name for this, as it gives the impression of a lady who intrigues you by not revealing everything about herself. I see this as an evening scent. Good sillage, long lasting.

  24. :

This smells like candied honey with some spice on my skin. The meltdown is powdery with hints of wood. It feels unique and smoky. I like this and I’m planning to buy another bottle just in case I run out! Perfect for a romantic night out!

When Avon launches a fragrance and it turns out to be a good one, stock up. They’ll discontinue it so fast, it’ll make your head spin. This is a keeper of a perfume. Good for the office because it stays close to the skin. I use the body lotion as well. This fragrance is sweet, but not too foody sweet and there’s a wonderful patchouli note that anchors this quite well. I have to spray this deliberately close to my skin so that the staying power is amplified. The last time I wore it with the body lotion I got a nice 6 hours out of it. It fits in with what is current out there now and is unoffensive but it’s not boring or repetitious. I’m sorry that Avon discontinued this.

I love this fragrance! Its has an exotic scent! sweet
yet with deep woodys smell. when its settles it’s has a light powdery scent. Not to overwheleming
to a point that gives you a migraine, which i find
with a lot of these perfumes! I really do like it
a lot. To bad avon discontinue this. Horay for
    avon this is a winner!

This is woody, slightly sweet and mysterious. Another one that’s an aquired taste. You will either like this or you won’t, it’s that simple. It took me a while to like this and honestly I still don’t love it. I rarely wear this and when I do, I’m in the mood for it, and I’m feeling mysterious. The wood note is prominent here and there is some honey for a little sweetness but it’s not a complex fragrance. I believe this one is being discontinued, so stock up if you like this before it’s gone.

  28. :

Spicy, honeyed woods is how I would describe this. I wear it in the winter and the silage is amazing, I will often smell it on my clothes the next day.
I got it for about $12 which is a deal, and it has the dark sweet patchouli type notes I love.
It doesn’t smell as cheap as it is!!!

I’ve never tried Imari Seduction, so I’m not sure how it compares, but Mystique is in a class all by itself!
A blind buy, it did not disappoint! I just purchased another bottle because I’m afraid it will be discontinued as so often happens with Avon frags. This sprays on loud but softens into a rich spiced honey that lingers for hours on my skin. This fragrance is deep, with a woodsy honey highlight. It’s a must for fall and winter. I must admit, I’m not a huge fan of the bottle but am willing to forgive for the sake of this lovely gem!

Veritech’s review says it all. I like this as much as I like Imari Seduction. It smells powdery/woods/honey on my skin and that’s what I expected. It lasts long and has a good sillage on my skin. The price is fantastic.

I just cant get enough of this scent! I thoroughly enjoy the honey and jasmine in the fragrance. It sends me to a romantic land with sunsets and fresh love.

I was looking for something similar to one of my favorites Lancome’s Magie Noire, and bought this online based on the reviews. I can say I wasn’t disappointed! I love to layer it with the shower gel and the body lotion (which is rich and fragrant) and I find myself smelling my wrists often! It was a surprise for Avon,as I hadn’t worn Avon fragrances since a teenager, a long time ago.Overall, a wonderful honeyed sensuous fragrance, but just doesn’t have the staying power of better high end fragrances, but at the cheaper price, one can be more lavish with re-spraying!
Have received many complements on it.And I love it because it’s something new and doesn’t remind me of my ex!

Loooove it for the cooler time of year, it actually transferred onto my seat belt and the car smelled wonderful for weeks.

I was given this fragrance for Christmas I didn’t like it the first time I wore it. I decided to try it again and I have grown to love it. Out of all of my perfumes this is one of my husband’s favorites on me.
While wearing Imari Mystique I’ve never failed to get a compliment on how good I smell. On my skin it’s candied honey and sparkling woods.
The sillage is fairly good with 3-4 sprays. The lasting power is good, it lasts 4-5 hours on my skin.
It’s an underated perfume in my opinion. If it works with your skin chemistry it’s quite lovely.

  35. :

    3 out of 5

Almost exactly the way Imari Seduction smells on me…almost. I love both of these truly, but they blast out so powerfully even when applied lightly. This one is more honey where Imari Seduction is more orchid/vanilla.You will get hooked if you give this a try.

  36. :

    5 out of 5

An indulgently inviting honey note lingers on my skin creating a sense of comfort and enchantment simultaneously.
Imari Mystique is one of my favourite bedtime layering rituals. I adore the abstract composition of the black notes combined with subtle rose and jasmine petals. A slight fruitiness presents on my skin imparting an almost edible experience.
The four layering products grace my collection, a gift from a friend OS. I am yet to see the shower gel for sale in Oz, I hope we get it eventually because the shower gel is blissful and facilitates the life of the lotion, perfume and deodorant surrounding one in a honeyed plume all evening.

  37. :

    3 out of 5

Another floral gourmand, Imari Mystique smells good and dries down to be soapy (on me, it has a slightly similar dry down with Avon’s a Little Red Dress, except Little Red Dress lasts longer). Smells good, although lasting power is poor, even when layered with the lotion, it will last 3 hours max.

  38. :

    4 out of 5

This isn’t bad. It’s pretty and plummy. The best part is the drydown, it’s like a less peppery version of 60s pop/60s mod (which I love). Since I already have that, and love the excessive amount of pepper, I’ll probably return the imari. It’s not different or interesting enough for me.

  39. :

    5 out of 5

I just got Imari Mystique and I must say, I really do like it! It does not last very long though…need to apply in a couple of hours.I like to layer this fragrance with the shower gel and body lotion.I was never fond of Avon fragrances, but this is a good one,I will buy again for sure.I really like that it is so affordable.I have some expensive fragrances that don’t have lasting power…which really bothers me after spending so much money on them (Prada L’Eau Ambree…Rochas Fleur D’Eau)I hope that Avon will offer Imari Mystique in EDP soon, maybe that will help with the longevity.

  40. :

    5 out of 5

Although the notes say otherwise, this perfume smells as if you were to take the Imari Seduction notes (the Avon purple bottle Imari), and then add honey and wood nots on top of it.
Imari Seduction + Wood/ Honey notes = Imari Mystique
If you dont like the basic notes of Seduction, then your nose will probably not agree with Mystique ether. And vise versa.
As I had mentioned in my review for Seduction too, this perfume also has very good lasting power min 4-5 hours.
note: Imari Seduction and Mystique are biological sisters, but the original Imari has nothing to do with the two above. It is absolutely different.

  41. :

    3 out of 5

When you first spray this on, it is harsh and strong and reminds me of old perfume that has sat around and now stinks. But, after that wears off, (which it does wear off quickly), it smells just wonderful and woodsy, sweet. It also lasts and I have gotten compliments on this. It is remarkable that Avon can make such a long lasting fine fragrance for such a low price. I will be reordering.

  42. :

    3 out of 5

This is a smoother, lighter smell-alike for curve vintage soul. I like it better in some ways but it doesn’t last.
I would say at the price, who cares, but the vintage soul is actually cheaper and lasts longer, but has more patchouli, which they forgot to mention in the notes above…Make no mistake, patchouli (of the Tom Ford White Patchouli type) is a big player here.
The honey is beautiful and this shouldn’t affect allergies.

I love love love LOVE this sent!! It’s a very warm sent, its not heavy but doesn’t fade away like some.. I can really smell the honey too!! I think it’s a great item to add to any collection because it’s so versatile! Its one of those go to perfumes when I cant choose, great for summer and spring! Cant tell you enough how much I love this sent!

Imari Mystique reminds me alot of Narciso Rodriguez For Her though not as harsh, I prefer it and the price tag is great.

  45. :

    5 out of 5

Imari Mystique is very aptly named as it is a mysterious and usual fragrance.
In the opening pink & peppery rose blends wonderfully with honey. In the heart phase this is a beautiful dark-honeyed floriental that borders on the gourmand. I think it’s the patchouli that gives all the gourmand notes in it such as the honey, vanilla (not listed but I think it might be there), and the pralines that wonderfully dark, spicy quality. (And I’m not even a fan of patchouli!) On my skin, the wood notes are mild. It’s all about a pink rose, a touch of dark spice, and pralines centered around a wonderful non-cloying honey.
With the super low price and the Avon money back guarantee, how can you resist getting this delicious fume? ;o)

Most times in AVON brochures there are only vague descriptions of their in-house fragrances. When someone like LaCroix or Patrick Dempsey release scents, they give the complete notes. In the last brochure, here in the US, they listed MANY notes for many of their more popular perfumes.
Here is what was listed for Imari Mystique:
    TOP-rose petals, black honey
HEART-jasmine sambac, black irises, warm amber
BASE- patchouli, black pralines and sexy woods

This is a wonderful scent!! I have not bought any Avon in so long because they seemed to all have something in common. I am glad I bought this and I plan on trying others as well.

This stuff is pretty amazing. I’m not surprised it’s getting so many good reviews. It’s sweet and dark. As with most Avon fragrances though, it doesn’t last all that long so reapplication is necessary. I find myself sniffing my wrists because this stuff smells so good.

I LOVE this, It is so inexpensive but it does not smell that way. It is a woody, floral, almost Smokey fragrance. Very sophisticated. I feel like it has some Bergamot in there and I do smell the honey as well, but the woody notes are really what makes it beautiful, I dont get any citrus but I do get something that resembles jasmine i think, but very smokey. I really love this. I will be wearing this in the night I believe but it is wearable in the day i think, depending on the occasion. Really worth it!

Icekat has said it all….I agree with every description you gave this scent!
Indeed comforting, warm. Sweet but not too much, nice smokey woods with the lingering smell of honey.
Its a very nice one by Avon. I agree with Action too that it reminds of other perfumes as well…this reminds me of Armani Idole without the woodsy notes.
Must try if you like sweet ,not gourmand scents…
Staying power is good! Love the bottle colours! Simply, worth a try!

(This review is for Eau de Toilette)
IMARI MYSTIQUE is a gorgeous honey floral scent with lovely sweet woody dry down. The scent is attractive, comforting and warm.
I could not find detailed notes, so I am following my nose in this description. In the opening I think I detect bergamot and mandarin mixed with very pleasant honeyed pear. The floral notes in the heart are sweet and wrapped with honey. I mostly smell rich and opulent sweet jasmine with some gentle rose petals. The woody notes are lovely in the dry down and mixed with comforting sweetness of honey.
I have to admit that I love the simple but chic bottle with the dark top gradually becoming transparent towards the bottom. IMARI MYSTIQUE is another great fragrance from Avon. The composition is done well. The fragrance is lovely and pleasant to wear. The sillage and longevity are medium. I got the perfume in a set with the shower gel and lotion. All three products are nice and perfect when used together.

got a sample of this today and i m testing it right now… Action is right, this smells like So Elixir by YR but a very watered down version…. hmm very mutch to weak for my taste….
btw i purchased blind the discontinued Imari Velvet EDC (!!!) in the PLAIN blackest black bottle, very uuuuhm yeah -dark- !!! :o) which one is not listed here unfortunately and this smell stronger than this one which is an EDT. i couldn t find any notes either for Imari Velvet 🙁 but it smells just great and it lasts!
it’s dark and mysterious and deep from the late 90’s…(1998) some people even compare it to a modern version of chanel nr 5. i can t confirm this as i don t know how chanel nr 5 does smell but it’s really not a outdated perfume… it smells just very mysterious and ‘femme fatale’.
so go for it if you love mysterious scents with a indeed velvet touch. on ebay you can buy it for a quite good price and you won t regret if you are in dark smoky and sultry fumes :o)

  55. :

This is an AMAZING perfume from Avon!! Sexy, Dark and Earthy!! It reminds me of several mainstream perfumes like DKNY Night, but some others as well. WONDERFUL!!

Oooooo! I do get a lot of honey. A sexy, creamy honey… warm and woody, in the drydown, too. I can’t help but think of John Varvatos when I smell this scent. Definitely a close relative to it. And, although not listed, I also detect just a faint hint of musk.
This is nothing like the orginal Imari. If anyone was hoping for “an almost clone” you won’t get it here. This stands on its own. For that reason they could have done without the Imari name tagged onto it. Mystique would have worked just fine. I’ve been looking for a perfume with a very prominent honey note and this delivered better than expected. Good job Avon!

is more masculine than femenine…the woods makes it that way, i really enjoyed this…but longevity is poor just like in any other avon fragrance…a shame.

From the back of the box:
Express your mysterious side with the exotic blend of black iris and sensual honey seductively laced over sultry woods…
Now, when this appeared in the first brochure, it said: rich oriental florals with woods and black honey. So, naturally, I bought it! Upon opening it and spraying it lavishly…I was taken aback. Citruses? No wait!…Glazed citruses. Where was the mystery? Where was the sensuality? Just as I was ready to curse the Avon PR department for false advertising…a cool smooth iris note sauntered in and added a dark, yet amazingly airy, floral note to the bright opening; almost eclipsing it. As it dried down, the sweetness of the honey became apparent and the overall scent grew thicker and richer, though never became heavy or cloying. The woods here remind me of when you plane a piece of wood (the aromatic curly-cues that the blade shaves off): dry-fresh and slightly clean with a hint of sweet sap and something vaguely metallic. The bottle goes from opaque black, at the top, to totally clear glass at the bottom. It has a place in the middle that is neither dark nor clear; that is Imari Mystique. A really nice floral with a sweetness and hints of woods, not quite gourmand, but not overly floral either. This has none of the fruitiness of Imari Seduction and none of the spicy incensed smokiness of the original…what it does have is a great drydown that really smells good on my male skin. More woody and sweet than floral; though on my mother it was more floral and cool than anything. Mystique, by definition, is the ability to mystify and enchant. Intruigingly cool but dark, and just sweet enough to endear but not annoy…
    Sillage: okay
    Longevity: decent
    Overall: 3.25/5
Knowing the scent of the original well, I had hoped this would be similar but have a more “noir” feel and be divinely heady with dark seductive florals and a luxurious (vaguely oriental) allure. This was none of those things; it’s actually more similar to Imari Seduction without the fruitiness or oriental notes. Instead it is cool, aloof and very sexy by virtue of its nonchalance. This would go well day or night and in just about any temperature. A word of warning this behaves very differently on paper (or scented brochure page) than it does on actual skin…
Mother and I both tried it at the same time. It immediately became sweeter and almost woody resiny on me, and stayed bright and flowery on her. It dried to a wonderful skinscent on me that lasted with average duration; on her it became something almost candied and gooey-she sanitized it off (LOL) and it still persisted on her clothing, but was nowhere near as intense. This is probably better on dry to normal skin and those with oily or musky skin to begin with should try it before they buy it…
NB: Most times, in AVON’s brochures, there are only vague descriptions of their in-house fragrances. When someone like LaCroix or Patrick Dempsey releases a scent, they give the complete notes. In the last brochure (here in the US) they listed MANY notes for many of their more popular perfumes.
Here is what was listed for Imari Mystique:
    TOP-rose petals, black honey
HEART-jasmine sambac, black irises, warm amber
BASE- patchouli, black pralines and sexy woods
