Description

Aerin Lauder, Estee Lauder’s granddaughter, founded her lifestyle brand in 2011 and has since been popular for her cosmetics, home items, jewelry and purses. The house is expanding their offer to include perfumes and is launching five of them in 2013. – Gardenia Rattan, Amber Musk, Lilac Path, Ikat Jasmine, and Evening Rose will launch in November. The creator wanted to provide a scent for each mood and time of year.

All fragrances were developed with assistance by Firmenich perfumers. The collection was inspired by fabrics that Aerin uses in her creations. Even the outer boxes feature fabric designs from Lauder’s line. Each bottle is crowned with a differently colored stone that incorporates the color of one of the ingredients in the perfume — green for Gardenia Rattan, pale brown for Amber Musk, pink for Lilac Path, white for Ikat Jasmine and purple for Evening Rose.

Ikat Jasmine is an embodiment of a modern woman — effortless style and intriguing femininity. The heart of the fragrance is built around jasmine sambac and jasmine Egypt infusion, enriched with exotic tuberose fleur, honeysuckle, tuberose infusion and sandalwood. Its outer carton was inspired by the blue and white floral wallpaper in Lauder’s childhood bedroom.

The fragrances arrive on the market in November 2013 and will be available for purchas as 50 ml eau de parfum spray.

Jasmine was an early love for me- my first experience was Jovan Night-Blooming Jasmine- it was my go-to college scent-
Of late, though, most of the jasmines I’ve encountered have been way too animalic,(Serge Lutens A La Nuit) or they smelled like room spray- (Lush Lust )or worse yet, bathroom room spray- (Pacifica Tunisian Jasmine, Al-Rehab Jasmine)
I’m pleased to say that Ikat Jasmine is none of the above- it is a soft yet long-lasting jasmine skin scent, as comfortable as that shirt that you always reach for first in the closet-
    I love it!
    (Thanks, E.!)

Luxury inoffensiveness in a bottle. Like a wedding invite on heavy white paper with elaborate gold letterpress.
I really liked it at first, because it smells like real accacia, which I found unusual, however, it settled down to pleasant creamy sweet scent, which is not unique enough for me. Longevity is decent, as well as projection.
I think me and the house of Aerin Lauder just don’t agree. This is for women who do not look for adventure in their lives and wear pearl earrings, white t-shirts and classic trench coats, which is exactly who I am not.

This has become a staple for me, a scent I reach for when I just can’t decide what to wear. It’s somehow always just right. Elegant, fresh, creamy, ladylike, youthful. It’s very “put together” and it makes you feel groomed and expensive. It’s very Aerin Lauder and I’m not surprised that it’s one of her favorites from the line.
Honestly, it’s floral, of course, but I can’t pick out any one note that stands out. It’s fluffy soft tuberose and jasmine in equal measure, with a musky-clean sandalwood base. For a white floral, it is decidedly unshrill and well-behaved and a great scent for those intrigued by white florals but intimidated by their strong personality.

This perfume smells like heaven. Best jasmine perfume I’ve tried so far. Floral, creamy in a super classy and feminine way. İt was a blind purchase by reading comments on fragnatica but it definately worth every penny. I can’t describe how much I like it. So bad it’s not produced anymore…

This is about as flowery and powdery as I can get but I like it. It reminds me of walking among lilac bushes and trees in the late afternoon when the air is warm and pleasantly heavy. It does not last on me but I don’t mind. I like having to reapply it and going through the experience of it wearing down again within the hours it does last. It’s like rewatching a scene from a movie that continues to capture my attention.

    Ikat Jasnine by Aerin
It is a pure jasmine fragrance for the floral scent lovers. Not cloying but tender and soft, it is rather low sillage and longevity. To compare with Jasmine Sambac & Marigold by JML, Ikat Jasmine is more complicated but easier to use in daily life.
I really love this jasmine perfume. Well done! Aerin

This a very fresh floral “Modern” scent. Love that. The bottle reflects the love and beauty of the scent within. What needs improvement is the “Longevity”!! For the price, the scent needs to last longer. I get two hours max, before having to re apply and this is a good way to get a consumer like me, to loose interest in buying it (again) or recommending this high-end perfume to a friend.

Pretty light Floral – white floral composition
with Jasmine in it! A Jasmine-ish perfume
wearable in hotter temperatures – summer
2018 – buttery which is how it reminds me
    of Chantecaille’s Petale’s but less so. I’m
wearing on mY birthday to meet w/friends
Also wore to early morning business meet,
it’s too luminous, sweet, feminine & floral,
then wore to the grocery store and then in
the evening to a dance competition – waY
too innocent. Not very fitting for me, won’t
rebuy. Who knows maybe it work for you?

This is a lovely fragrance that I just received as a gift from my husband, because he smelled it on someone else and was wild about it.
Unfortunately, it has absolutely terrible longevity – my cheapie Britney Spears and Jennifer Aniston fragrances last WAY longer than this. Within an hour, I can only smell it by actually putting my nose on my wrist, and within 2 hours it’s gone. I can’t believe how briefly this lasts for such an exorbitantly priced perfume. Very similar to Jo Malone’s high price tag and poor longevity – just really crappy value for your money.
My husband loves it, though, and I don’t want to hurt his feelings by telling him he spent so much on such weak juice, so I just keep spritzing every couple hours to keep him happy.

90% honeysuckle, 8% Jasmine, 2% tuberose. Ikat Honeysuckle. A springy, bright, and crisp bouquet of white flowers. I get a strong, soapy, aquatic note that doenst make this bouquet seems authentic. I also get a watermelon jolly rancher vibe to this as well.
This is a body spray at best and doesnt deserve the high price tag.
This is the secound Aerin perfume I have tried. I still have yet to find something worthwhile.

This is very high maintenance, rich lady on a yacht, evening soirée with champagne, blonde highlights and hair in a chignon. Making plans for a holiday on the phone with one hand while admiring the rare fancy yellow harry Winston ring on the other.

I never gave Estée’s daughter a fighting chance in giving her fragances a go. I first thought “this is probably going to be a concentrated version of “Modern Muse” with a somewhat higher pricetag along with the rest of Aerin’s line.” I was wrong. I am totally impressed by her whole collection. Not only is her company fresh and bright but I think her business aspect is going to go pretty well above Jonathan Adler’s aspect. I think we should support more American brands who have great ideas and creativity as much as their European counterparts.
Upon seeing her line at Barney’s I immediately noticed the beautiful bottles. You can’t miss those stone caps. Those caps reminded me of Giorgio Armani Privé’s couture perfume line. I hope that wasn’t intentional on her behalf. I smelled a lot of her scents and really liked where she was going with them. Ikat Jasmine for whatever reason stuck out the most for me. There is a dense lightness to it (if that oxymoron makes any sense). It is large bouquet but is lightweight that it brushes your skin like a biased cut silk dress. The florals are just divine. Jasmine sambac, Honeysuckle, tuberose, Egyptian cotton (that add’s a little powdery accent to the fragrance). I requested a decant for this and gave it to my mother for her to try it and she was in love. Something of this scent reminds me of her growing up in the 90s. She had a fragrance that was very similar to this in the summer. There is an aquatic feeling with this scent.
This of course a day fragrance but you can cheat a little and stretch it out to 7pm on a summer evening. Then layer it with “Tuberose Le Soir”. And that is another wonderful thing about Aerin, you can layer these fragrances. Aerin managed to create “separates” with fragrances (the same way Donna Karan created “7 easy pieces” with fashion in the 80s). This fragrance has a big bright projection. Easily can be worn in the office, but I don’t want to smell it in the office. I think it’s much more elegant for florescent lighting–it cheapens the brand. This is casual and breezy. It should be worn with jeans and a white shirt. Not to say this is overly casual, this is also a lunch fragrance–so don’t forget your shift dress. Sillage is very close to the skin. Can be a bit intimate.
I am very excited for the future of Aerin Lauder. I think she has big opportunities ahead.

A great fragrance for school days! Jasmine and honeysuckle are a great combination! Me and my sisters love it and my mom approved!

Beautiful blend of Jasmine & Tuberose .Reminds me a bit of a lighter version of Couture by JC Much softer & elegant. The Honeysuckle is quite prominent in the dry down .Close to the skin , with weak silage , the longevity is rather weak as well . Still a gorgeous scent !

I am addicted to the modernity of this perfume. It’s jasmine, tuberose, ivory soap and Geisha’s Blanche (and maybe Keri lotion!). It’s clean, soft with only a slight creamy feel, modern, pure, upscale, and stylish. Somehow it reminds me of the 90s but in a totally new way. It’s not powdery on me, nor is it particularly fresh, just light. I LOVE the jasmine in this. Doesn’t last long, maybe 4 hours? It’s not at the top of my wish list but it’s a pretty impressive scent if you like soft immaculate jasmines.

Smells like a more feminine and slightly more sweet and Powdery version of JADIS by the house Ne’ema

I love the entire Aerin line. It’s clean fresh and almost pure. This has very strong jasmine top notes. I’m not a huge jasmine fan but I still enjoy this scent. I appreciate the fact that this like the others are a friendly natural fragrance. Nothing cheap, artificial nor offensive to anyone around you. Beautiful spring and summer scent.

This is a lovely jasmine, with a soft trail of tuberose underlying what mostly seems to be a soliflore. This would be an absolutely lovely scent for a bride, wearing a classic wedding gown – no frills, no lace, just silk and flattering lines. This is probably the only Aerin I would buy a full bottle of to enjoy the cleanliness of this seeming soliflore. Very pretty!

Opening was a strong blast of jasmine and tuberose. It is a very bright opening. The middle and dry down are very floral but exceptionally pretty.
I am not a strong floral lover unless there is a creaminess to it. So, this one is not for me. However, it was a very well done jasmine fragrance. It would be great for someone who is seeking this sort of thing.

I hated this at first. I like my jasmines filthy and nocturnal, rich with indoles that weave lingering trails.
This is none of that, so it took me some time to figure her out. There is nothing tawdry here, no cheap nail polish or tendrils of sex and smoke.
In Ikat, the jasmine is bright white and virginal, scrubbed clean of sin. She stays close to your skin, exudes class and breeding.
The bright white of a summer day is too much, I think, makes this fragrance blinding and tooth-achingly sweet, but on a late winter/early spring morning? This is morning vespers and dreamy soft flowers of candy.
Layered with neroli, this is what I imagine heaven must smell like…

  22. :

    4 out of 5

Wow, does this smell upscale and expensive! To my nose, this is a clean, non-sweet, non-indolic jasmine, blended with the smoothest gardenia. If you blend “Kai” and Creed’s “Jasmal” together, you’d get “Ikat Jasmine.”
The perfume is so elegant and sexy, yet not cliche’d (you know, berries, patchouli, and some dessert-note; blends that have been done to death). “Ikat Jasmine” is so beautiful, and is worth every penny! It is on the pricier side, yes, but I feel that the price is more than fair, for the quality alone. While it doesn’t have a strong projection, I can tell that it was made with a high concentration of oils. The scent lasts for hours, but stays very close to the skin. Just when I think that it has faded away, I’d catch whiffs of it on and off throughout the day.

Good choice for someone who loves floral scents. It’s beyond floral though, it’s much more interesting. It does lack a bit of sweetness, but even despite that I’ll still make it one of my regulars.
    Beautiful, unique floral!

I sampled it again as I have a sephora gift card, and thought I might get it..well, it is a beautiful classy jasmine scent, yet with a modern touch…but for me, a tad too floral, a tad too proper…and a bit overpriced. I like it, and if I saw it at a nice price, I would get it, it smells so feminine and pretty…but for now, i believe there are other scents I want more!!
I wish the base would have been more warm..more rounded…it stays pretty much floral all the way.

This isn’t your normal dominant jasmin scent. To me it’s more a vanilla tuberose profile with a woody undertone, the honey suckle sweetens it nicely and I believe the ambroxan in the base makes it clean and addictive. I sure do smell Jasmine but it’s so beautiful layered with tuberose and sandalwood that it becomes entirely creamy and full bodied. It’s sweet and beautiful in a very gorgeous natural and creamy way. It’s stunning as a matter of fact and I need this tomorrow.
    High quality , very beautiful.
Some reviews here said they like the clean drydown. I am at that stage now and “wow ” it’s great. It becomes like a Nivea smell. Creamy and clean. It must be the notes combined with the ambroxan !? I am impressed.
To me it has a warm vanilla quality. It very long lasting. Longest out of her line.
    In love !

Now l have never been into white flowers scents, unless it is floral aldehyde fragrance. But this is stunning. Yasmine can be sickly and boring and overdone. This is very pleasant, just spicy enough. Love it

  27. :

Top notch. Smells like it’s made with very high quality ingredients. At first spray you’re hit with a sharp jasmine but it quickly settles down into a lush, sweet bouquet of flowers. The tuberose is unlike any other tuberose I have ever smelled before. Its so gorgeously understated while always making its presence known at the same time. I never knew of Aerin Lauder and her brand until I was gifted this sample from a fellow fragrantician, but I’m so glad I did discover Aerin. I’d like to try her other scents but I think this one will be my favorite. Its gorgeous if you love florals like I do!

I find the scent of jasmine to be very sexual. There is something so full and intoxicating about the fragrance of the flower, and I love when compositions use notes that enhance that inherent sexiness. A La Nuit from Serge Lutens is one of my favorite jasmine fragrances for that reason.
While A La Nuit is the type of jasmine that would gleefully do the “horizontal mambo” in the garden or on the beach, Ikat Jasmine is the type of jasmine that might get offended when told a dirty joke – nary a person would feel compelled to engage in that type of conversation with Ikat Jasmine anyway. People seem to want to behave properly when near an Ikat Jasmine gal – as they should! She’s well-bred!
All that being said, I do like this fragrance. Ikat Jasmine is the freshest jasmine I’ve ever smelled and the fact that that flower isn’t paired with “tropical” or “beachy” notes in order to bring sunniness to it is absolutely refreshing. I love the golden lift that they honeysuckle brings to the composition and the sandalwood feels high-quality and credible. Even the tuberose feels lip-smacking and bright. This is a jasmine for a sunny day, not a steamy night, and I like having that kind of variety in my collection.

Light, soft, clean, floral fragrance. It reads “pretty” and “approachable.” Perfect spring scent. It would be a safe fragrance gift. I think it’s Aerin’s best.

I just found a sample of this and decided to try it on.
My go-to fragrance is Jasmin Rouge by Tom Ford. The jasmine in this fragrance is nothing like that. First spritz is a fresh white floral with citrus. Even though it’s not stated could it be Bergamot? I get mimosa as well. The citrusy notes I initially perceive vanish quickly.
This is not a spicy or heavy jasmine. It’s innocent, airy, and just a tad bit sweet – Perfect for day wear. The tuberose and sandalwood help round out the fragrance giving it a creamy feel.
This is what living in the clouds would smell like.

  31. :

For my nose, this is a bitter and strong jasmine. I do get some creamy note too, but mostly it’s just overwhelming.
Fresh and clean. I couldn’t walk around smelling so white floral.
An outstanding jasmine scent for white flower lovers.

In Bulgaria, on the Black Sea, there is a magical coastal town called Balchik. A palace complex emerges overlooking the water, complete with a monestary, chapel and extensive gardens, bordered by very old stone archways covered in ivy. As a child, I used to spend summers there, and I remember running through the cobblestone alleyways of the palace grounds to get to the beach below. I have not been there in ages, but I was casually looking at fragrances today, not planning to buy anything, and stumbled across Ikat Jasmine. As I brought it to my nose, that very image of running through the cobblestones down to the beach flooded my mind. I couldn’t believe it…and I couldn’t pinpoint why. Something about this fragrance transported me to my romanticized golden childhood.
It starts out fresh, but has a nice sweet note throughout that keeps it from being too “clean.” It definitely smells beachy, but then jasmine fragrances usually do, as jasmine grows in warmer climates and can be associated with beaches, sun, and palm trees. It also has a faint faint note of sun cream which I absolutely love in fragrances. It adds a warmth and a bit of body that keeps the fragrance from being sharp. I’m in total utter and splendid love. Can’t believe I found this!

Ikat Jasmine is a light white floral with moderate-low projection. The notes don’t suggest it but I swear I smell a lot of bergamot in the opening. The bergamot note here is sweet and vibrant at the same time. I’ve sprayed this on my recently washed wrist three times before bedtime. When I woke up it was still significantly there on my skin. It is by far the longest lasting Aerin perfume I’ve ever tried. I didn’t get the honeysuckle or the tuberose. However, the dry down is sweet and powdery with sandalwood and jasmine in the base notes. Compared to a rich and narcotic jasmine such as Lush Lust, it is much more friendly and demure. Compared to a more modern jasmine such as Estee Lauder Modern Muse or Thierry Mugler Alien EDP, it is much more natural, bright, and joyful. While it may lack the opulence or the complexity of greater jasmine fragrances such as Creed Jasmin Imperatrice Eugenie, it is still a feminine and beautiful rendition of this flower. It actually reminds me a lot of Guerlain Terracotta Le Parfum without the copious tiare & vanilla that dominates the Guerlain composition. For those of you who are looking for a fresh, soft, everyday or a sort of “introductory” jasmine fragrance, this may be a good one to try. I recommend it for all seasons.

I tried the scented lotion this afternoon, it was a nice lotion, and well scented. The scent itself is pleasant but slightly high pitched. I suppose that’s what “clean” jasmine might mean. Spend for what you get – would like to receive as a gift but would be disappointed if i bought it myself @ $57….

  35. :

    3 out of 5

Perfectly reasonable jasmine, powdery, pleasant and it lasts enough for all day wear – it’s not weak. However – I’ve been spoilt by Lutens’ A La Nuit, which I smelled first, and which to me is the Queen of all Jasmines. That’s more green, where this is more powdery, so it’s a matter of individual preference. As for honeysuckle, I couldn’t really detect any in this – there’s no such thing as honeysuckle absolute, so whatever interpretation Aerin has made of it, didn’t register. This is one of the better Aerin scents though, and though it could be seen as old-fashioned, I enjoyed wearing it today. For me, 6/10 🙂

I got a sample at Sephora. Nothing special, sorry: I love jasmine, but this one is powdery jasmine. I like powdery smells, but powdery jasmine a little annoying, thanks that longevity is not strong, it is not that “nausea” feel.

I’m an oriental girl at first whiff… but this Jasmine is so unlike what I typically think off when I think Jasmine… it’s simply clean and beautiful… a very pure scent in a gorgeous bottle headed by a woman who is really making a style mark. Love it!!!

This is the most accurate jasmine I’ve found. And I have evidence based on the jasmine growing on my neighbors house. It’s fresh and intense, like the real thing. Honeysuckle? Not so much. Honeysuckle, as in that found in the south, is far sweeter. I continue to be impressed by aerin lauder.

  41. :

Perhaps I’ve gotten used to the headiness of the likes of Lush’s jasmine (Lust) and other jasmine perfume oils in my collection, but Jasmine Ikat has to be one of the cleanest rendition of jasmine I’ve smelled. This is jasmine scrubbed clean, and the more I wear it, the cleaner it feels (must be the musk drydown). It’s an office friendly jasmine without going into generic floral territory. I don’t detect any tuberose, just a light clean jasmine that reminds me of scented facial cream for some reason.

But actually remandmi estee lauder private collection and the armani prive perfume package!
