Description

“I have always carried with me an ideal of femininity – an irresistible combination of grace, beauty and independent spirit. IDOLE d’ARMANI is my tribute to this ideal, and to women everywhere.”

Giorgio Armani

IDOLE d’ARMANI is an ode to femininity. The IDOLE woman glows with a magnetic sensuality and a natural grace. She is exquisite, captivating, sexy and sensual. She is expressive and reveals her strength of character. The elegance of her inner soul makes her simply sublime.

Giorgio Armani has created an opulent floral fragrance, the unexpected encounter of an inspiration from the Orient and timeless Italian elegance. The idol is revealed, magnificent and sensual.

The top is dazzling with bitter orange, juicy pear, ginger and davana notes. At the heart, bright and audacious, rose loukoum, the very own emblem of IDOLE d’ARMANI, and mythical jasmine with a shimmer of sunshine, blend boldly with saffron absolute, rare and delicately leathered, tinting this floral delight with a honey-coloured subtle spicy note. At the base, luminous and sensual, unexpected styrax, patchouli and vetiver, at once refined and progressive, come to add their own harmony to the saffron heart of flowers, joining forces with the woman who wears it, without ever marking or dissimulating its character, melting into the skin of she who succumbs.

To embrace his signature women’s fragrance, Giorgio Armani, inspired by the 1930s, created a sphere of crystalline glass, beautifully round with on each side halos of fine circular waves, echoing the central O of IDOLE. On the front of the bottle, IDOLE d’ARMANI majestically spells out its letters. A gold cap, a piece of jewelry that adorns the bottle with beauty and elegance.

The outer packaging is like a block of pure gold, polished then sculpted in fine, even grooves to form a sophisticated and precious holder. The IDOLE d’ARMANI signature is stamped and engraved.

Giorgio Armani has chosen actress Kasia Smutniak to be the face of his new signature women’s fragrance IDOLE d’ARMANI.

“I chose Kasia to be the face of my new fragrance, IDOLE d’ARMANI, because she has a fresh and modern appeal which combines true feminine sensuality and rare beauty with inner strength of character. She embodies the spirit of the IDOLE d’ARMANI woman perfectly.” Giorgio Armani

Idole d’Armani was launched in 2009. The nose behind this fragrance is Bruno Jovanovic.

I usually don’t cry over discontinued perfumes, but this Idole makes me sentimental. I was planning to have it when it was gone off shops. I can hardly find a replacement. In my mind Crystal Noir from Versace comes as close as possible. But Armani perfume had soapy creamy base, almost like fancy face moisturiser but better.

Whew! Idole is an interesting scent experience, that’s for sure! It really doesn’t smell anything like I thought it would. It is very sharp and herbal/bitter at first spray, then spicy comes through a bit… and underneath that there are hints of this and that. A whiff of pear, a dab of honey but it’s all coming through this spicy bitter veil. I’ll have to give a bit and see what I think as it settles. The silage is definitly top notch!

Marks & Spencer used to sell a perfume called ‘Sparkle’ – the bottle was encased in a sparkly drawstring black bag, rather like a phone sock. This is an excellent dupe of Idole.
Sadly the dupe vanished from the M&S stores years ago, but it is worth keeping your eyes open on e-bay for this one.

A group came into work today and one man Announced to the room at large, “it smells great in here”.
I like to think he could smell my Idole.
one of the few I can catch on myself all day.

This was first Armani in my collection. I will always treasure the rest of the juice that is left in my bottle.
It’s one of the sexiest scents I have ever smelled. I get juicy but not sickly sweet pear and people here are right that vetiver and ginger stands out and it’s a bit masculine that way – but that’s what makes it mysterious and erotic. The perfume doesn’t lose that feminine feeling though. It’s extremely luxurious and elegant, but not that kind of office scent, because there’s much more in Idole.
I agree that this is not for the youngest ladies around. It’s actually not really about exact age, but about “knowing” and the way you behave. Simply, you just gotta know how to wear this perfume.
Wearing Idole gives me a feeling like “I’m here, people, and I’m the idole and I’m proud about it.” Sounds bigheaded, I know, but try it and you will see what I mean. Could be very hard to try it though these days being discontinued for a few years. I don’t understand why Armani did it – this was absolutely unique scent. Nothing similar comes to my mind.
    To me 8,5/10.

so unique fragrance, it´s spicy and fresh.. received so many compliments with this one.. it´s a shame they discontinued it. This is is the best Armani fragrance so far in my opinion.

This is such an underrated beauty. It is criminal how much this was overlooked and discontinued I believe. I don’t agree with a lot of the reviews that it has curry note. If I had read this before I bought it I may not have so pleae don’t worry it doesn’t smell curry. True it has a spicyness but it is not like a strong cumin or anything its a lot lighter and that fades ayway. In my opinion this is quite a fresh deep fragrance. It smells of spicy pear with ginger and jasmine perhaps. It is really sexy in a classy way. I can imagine a beautiful woman in a dazzling dress with heals wearing this and turning heads. I previously had the EDT and if you find the spicyness to much the EDT is just fresh pear. I am still considering getting a bottle of the EDT as they are a bit different and it is divine.

This fragrance reminds me of a sexy, stylish aunt. Weird, right? Someone who is mature but still absolutely gorgeous, well dressed and sweet smelling. You wanna be just that kind of woman when you “grow up”. I guess it reminds me of my own aunt except I’ve absolutely no idea what fragrance she wears.
This is a classy, feminine scent. Timeless. Cool and effortless. You can immediately pick up on the bitter orange, honey, ginger and pear. All of these notes linger together right down to the floral heart of the fragrance. I don’t get a strong projection from this, it’s more intimate. It doesn’t try to be loud. It’s self-assured, pure womanity.

This is not at all mainstream. I am surprised it is by Armani, given the usual crowd pleasers they produce (I am not being snobbish or disparaging, as I have several Armani fragrances and enjoy them).
On first spraying Idole EDP, I get an unexpected but very distinct smell of curry spice. I love curry – Indian and Thai food are my favourite cuisine – but I don’t want to smell like it. Fortunately, this abates within five minutes, leaving a highly spiced, warm fragrance on my skin. I really can’t detect pear at all, but it’s quite cool and damp here today in SE England, which may account for it (as pear has been voted the most prominent note). This fragrance is discontinued, but my bottle was new and sealed when purchased last week, although the date of manufacture is June 2009. There’s a possibility that the top notes have been impacted by its age.
To my nose, the prominent notes are saffron, ginger, vetiver and artemisia, with jasmine, fruits and honey adding natural – not cloying – sweetness. I don’t detect rose at all.
This smells very fresh and natural – I don’t get any sort of manmade chemical vibes from this perfume, which I find unusual and really refreshing.
In summary, this is unique; I’ve never smelled anything similar. It’s not been put in a group by Fragrantica, but I’d describe as a spicy Oriental. Lovers of Kenzo Jungle L’Elephant and Lutens Arabie should really enjoy this.

Nope. This one doesn’t do it for me. Smells off somehow, reminds me of perfume minis from 1992 that have been improperly stored… kind of musty and weird, just “off”. Unpleasant. I am smelling it from a sample, maybe it’s expired, but the perfume came out in 2009, which is relatively recently. Maybe my nose is weird. Maybe my skin does horrible things to it. Either way, it’s a firm dislike.

I love it …..it’s different and it’s has its own base very elegant.

    Juicy!
Ripe pear and spices and there’s saffron at the end but all the while it remains oh so juicy!
More than sexy, this is slutty in the best possible way.
I’m a big fan of dry salty scent and this is the polar opposite of that
Its the Moistness in this fragrance that appeals so much.
When Eve passed Adam the Apple, she wasn’t smelling like DKNY ‘apple’.
She would of smelt more like Idole! it just drips lusty sweet venom.
    10/10
what do you mean discontinued? I only just found it.
    *Sigh*

Idole is not appreciated as much as it should be….
Pear done right, thank you Armani for the combination of pear, that is prominent from the first spritz until the shower, with the clementine, that actually is not lost behind the pear, the orange, the honey (give the perfume time, honey develops two to three hours later) and the complementing saffron. Jasmine, ginger and vetiver prefer to reek; I actually love that. If this was some alcoholic beverage I’d drink it all the time, it’s smells so delicious! The blend is perfect. It is a fragrance that develops, and it will develop indeed into something creamier and even richer.
Idole is not sweet and i think of this being the main reason it’s not as popular, audiences now want sugary-syrupy-fruity craziness in fantasy bottles or light inoffensive fragrances that don’t stand out. Well this has a huge sillage, it’s long lasting (i smell it on my pillowcase from the day before and even though in the meantime i chose to wear and sleep in another perfume, Idole is still there!) We have a strong perfume here, not heavy, but strong.
Idole is absolutely suitable for daytime and nightime, any clothes work, but somehow I imagine classy office clothing, tight knee long skirts and white shirts, or any really classy and sexy office attire. Suitable all year round. I had a fear that i won’t be able to wear it now that it’s getting colder, but it works fantastic.
    Ages suitable: 20+
No note is missing. I don’t really know how artemisia smells, but that’s okay, i still love this perfume, which by the way can be layered with others as well, it’s enough versatile for layering (making me all the more happy, btw i have paired it with London Burberry and it’s just superb, people are effing wondering which fragrance i’m wearing…haha) Half of the time that i wear it smells intensely of:pear, jasmine, vetiver, clementine and ginger. When the fragrance develops, it’s time for: honey, almond, rose and patchouli. Saffron is always there but i don’t feel it all the time, sometimes i sniff my wrist and all i get is saffron and other times it’s just hiding.
Lovely, edgy, sexy and unique perfume. Weird enough that it can’t be worn by everyone
    P.S.: BATHE IN IT!

Verry heavy rich scent, definitely long lasting. Be careful with the amount you put on, because it can give you headache if you don’t like sweet parfumes. Its like opium on the air.
For me – it smells like something you can wear only with black velvet and big gold jewelries. Ìt’s made for ladies, not girls and only for special occasions. Definitely distinctive! People around you will love it or hate it!

Armani idole is not something easily found around me,they sell it very expensive here but I’m not sad for it,bc now I know that it’s not my cup of tea and I’m not going for a full bottle, but gonna use my 5mil sample happily
    I marked it as a scent I like,and I do so,it’s deep, rich,sophisticated and far from a generic one
I can detect a dominant ripe pear note which I like here, honey dewed and spiced pear(I can detect ginger and also saffron) also tiny hint of sweet citrus notes and jasmine in a rich woodsy base
Warm, sweet delicious spicyness makes me feel best season for golden idole is golden fall,Longevity and sillage are both very good, adding two positive points to it’s mark
Although not my favorite but I wish to see more perfumes like idole and sensi from armani

I will preface this by saying that I picked this up in a bargain bin for about 20 dollars – it was a partially used tester. I have this idea that for whatever reason, testers are more potent and concentrated than the juice you actually get in the bottle you end up paying for. idk maybe I am imagining it but I have had this happen with multiple fragrances before.
Anyway. The point of that was to say that while I personally thought this was not that strong on sillage, according to everyone around me the day I wore it to work, it was blowing everyone away. Which really surprised me.
When I tested it at the store all I thought was pear pear pear … and I love pear and have very few pear heavy perfumes in my wardrobe, so I snatched it up asap. I wore it a couple days around the house and out running errands – it seemed to me like a moderate perfume that could be worn any time of day – it is certainly one that could be worn for evenings, but somehow the pear and honey made it just sweet enough that it could be used to class up a generic grocery run as well.
After hearing my colleagues comment on it though, I am not so sure anymore – they are not fragranistas but the consensus was something that smelled “incense-y, arabian, woody, patchouli, and spicy”. Not at all what my nose thought it was picking up from my wrist. And while I do have a small fan at my desk, I had people coming over from across the room to ask me what I was wearing, when I only applied a couple spritzes to my wrist over an hour earlier.
Now I don’t know what to think. I am wearing it again today, and three hours after application the sweetness of the pear has faded a bit but I swear I can still smell it. The florals are a bit more prominent too – I can clearly smell the rose – and there is a bit of spice from the ginger and some earthyness from the base. But I would no where near call this an arabian style incense like fragrance. And it still doesn’t strike me as a sillage bomb either, but I guess this one is playing tricks on me.
I have worn some of my heavier Amouage fragrances to work – my newest great love Memoir in particular I can often not say no to – and they have garnered less of a reaction there. I do want to make clear though that the reaction was positive from everyone who came over – they all seemed to really like it and wanted to get a bottle for themselves (too bad its been discontinued!).
Bottom line — this one has made it to my top shelf for sure, regardless of whether or not I ultimately decide if it is truly work appropriate or not (and somedays work be damned lol). It had me as soon as that blast of pear left the bottle.
It is a beauty and it isn’t a perfume of a very common theme imo – it has a uniqueness about it, and it does have an air of elegance and a sense of class most often associated with the classics of a bygone era. It is very feminine and inviting, but also exudes confidence.
I think if you are planning to wear it to work or in a small space, you may want to test it out on some guinea pigs first to see how it reacts with your body chemistry. It may just be a monster in disguise, or it may just be my bottle was one of the mysterious incidences of testers being filled with stronger stuff.

I really like this. It’s all honey and powder and ginger. It smells like a summer scent to me, I don’t know if it will be over powering in the heat though. I’ll keep it for wintery gloomy days as a ray of sunshine if so. It’s pretty and joyful. Sad it’s discontinued but glad I have a mini to enjoy for now.

Very classy scent, it gives me a mental image of a woman with a tailored skirt suit, perfectly laid hair, an expensive purse, real jewelry and shiny high heeled shoes. A woman with money and a certain amount of power.
Unluckily for me, this woman is also at least twice me age. I don’t feel comfortable wearing this perfume simply because of that, but I look forward to fitting into my mental image as well as the fragrance once I do reach that age.

    Capolavoro come Mania e Sensi.
    Ricco, opulento, perfetto.
A me ricorda qualcosa di Sensi, peccato che anche questo sia fuori produzione.
Non capisco, come mai i migliori profumi non vengono più prodotti? Che rabbia!

I bought this wonderful scent again after a few years, but after 2 weeks of using it every day, it lost its original spicy and strong smell in the bottle. I wonder why?

  26. :

    4 out of 5

I wanted to like this but when spraying it on there was just too much spice & it smelled like a mix of curry & honey. Now that it’s drying down my nose almost likes it. The mix of floral & spice could be very addictive if it had been tweaked a little on some notes (maybe a slightly higher pitched floral or an amber?), but it just doesn’t quite get there for me. Too spicy for me. I can see how it is a beautiful scent though and I can see that many would love this. Warm and sophisticated, lovely in its own way but the spice is just too much, and I get quite a bit of honey from it too which I find quite cloying.

  27. :

The first time I sensed this perfume in the air, I thought that it was too strong, but the second time I tested it directly on my skin, and I absolutely fell in love: it’s fruity and sweet, innocent, but also warm and spicy and has something extremely sexy in it. It melts with the natural scent of my skin. I think I have found my fragrance!

  28. :

    5 out of 5

It’s difficult to put this fragrance in a nutshell, but on the whole I think it’s a very likeable fragrance. It’s safe, but with safe I don’t mean that it is not unique; I have found nothing else like it. I’ve got very positive feedback when wearing this, definitely!
I think it has just the right amount of sweetness – it balances beautifully with the citrus. It is not at all too fruity, rather I think it’s more flowery, maybe it’s the combination of clementine and jasmine that makes it so luscious. Just like it says in the main accords list it is both fresh spicy and warm spicy, which is difficult to get right, but Idole is a very harmonious, balanced blend of those. One doesn’t overpower the other. I’d like to emphasise exactly this that Idole is harmony in a bottle!
I think it’s a severely underrated, absolutely beautiful fragrance that you can wear around friends but also on dates and people will be more than happy to be around you. It fits every occasion. The sillage is moderate and the longevity is moderate to long-lasting.

Received a sample of this in a swap from a lovely member and absolutely fell in love. Went online and immediately found a bottle and it arrived today.
This is such a beautiful perfume. Spicy ginger and sweet honey and pears. It works perfectly on my skin and my only regret is that I didn’t know about it sooner.
This is already in my top ten. It’s fresh, but not overly so, it’s sweet, but not tooth achingly, it’s fruity but refined, and now it’s mine. <3

My favorite perfume. It is a very classic and rich scent. It transports my mind to a different time, like the 20’s or 30’s. It is very feminine (not in a floral cute way) but a sophisticated way. Lasts very long, I can wake up the next day and still smell it on my skin.

  33. :

    3 out of 5

On me initially I detect minimal florals and it’s mostly coffee and caramel in a ginger haze. I love that! Once it settles the honey comes through with soft florals into the mix. It’s more womanly than feminine. It stands out, I love finding something that doesn’t remind me of anything that I’ve smelled before.

  34. :

    5 out of 5

This is spicy stuff. So much ginger and saffron. I can’t enjoy it, it’s too strong and old-fashioned for me.
I find it interesting, but I wouldn’t buy it even if I had all the money in the world.
I think it’s suitable for older ladies. This perfume is not youthful or fresh, not at all.
It could be that some people find it sexy but I find it cloying. This perfume is not for me.

  35. :

    5 out of 5

I don’t like it too much, to be honest.
There’s just some strong note in it that I cannot define and that I hate.
The first time I tested it it felt like some -cucumber/floral scent-.
I wouldn’t buy it for myself, even though I like the fact that it’s refreshing.
It radiates nicely and you can feel it from the distance.

  36. :

Oh I like. I get pear, spice (probably the ginger) and a hint of butter. It stays very close to my skin and barely lasted 2 hours so I will not be looking for a backup bottle.

Ooohhhh I LOOOOOOVED this fragrance!! Why did they discontinue it. It had the perfect composition to me, with the ginger, the pear and the sweet bitterness. SIGH!! Also have never gotten more compliments on any other perfume than this one (and I wear a lot of amazing different fragrances), especially from men. :'( Now I have to find a different fragrance that smells JUST like this one. Aarrhhg DAMN YOU Armani!

Have had this one sitting quietly in the back of a cupboard for a while. Pulled it out last night after a shower. On waking this morning it’s still going quite strong! Without looking at the notes for power of suggestion, I’m getting what I’ll call a “coconutty” vibe. This is coming across as a beach or resort smell. The floral note is very very thin and hanging as a tone, not as a note. It’s a bit synthetic, and not essential-oil opulent like a Guerlain. But to its credit it hasn’t fallen apart in over 12 hours of wear even after waking and moving around a lot.
I would say this is a scent for a woman of business on leisure holiday. It’s not clean enough to be good for work; I can see this offending those around me with its sweet honey silage/projection. Best worn to a social occasion or a day out shopping. There is a discernible masculine/androgynous hint that reminds me of notes in my husband’s colognes. To that end it’s brilliant Armani — reminds me of the lines of his women’s suits.
It’s not organically floral enough to be the feminine garden of my rose-pruning dreams. It’s not gourmand enough to be the artificial flavor of teens. It’s not mature enough to be the scent of old ladies to church or the symphony.
Unique, reminds me a bit of his Diamonds series. I see now that coconut vibe is probably the almond, and the masculine the vetiver, styrax, and orange.

The most beautiful & elegant usage of pear I’ve ever encountered. Idole d’Armani is absolutely feminine, lovely and.. safe. Juicy pear, ginger and orange sparkle on my skin, slightly spicy saffron heart is sweetened with a drop of honey, and it’s all layered on an elegant, subtle base. Unfortunately it does not last on me, 2-3 hours and it’s gone, detectable only if I put my nose directly to my wrist. Maybe it does not work all that well in a colder weather? I like it, but it’s too ephemeral for me.

My love at second sniff 😉
At first I thought ‘meh, just another strong stuff, not for me’. Oh how wrong was I! It had me when lighter notes gave space to deeper ones. The mixture was addictive and smelled so sexy! it still does and I wear it anytime I want to feel confident and powerful 🙂
Sometimes it can fill up a small room and it’s rather longlasting as on my hair and clothes it literally lasts for days.

  43. :

    5 out of 5

I didn’t get any ginger from this. It’s just light and fruity on me. An ok scent, but not for me.

  44. :

    4 out of 5

I ordered this blind and am a bit ambivalent about it. I think it’s a nice scent, but it doesn’t have the presence I expected upon reviewing the notes. It’s rather soft and for me stays pretty close to the skin. I can’t say that it’s very long lasting either – within a few hours I find myself having to reapply to keep the fragrance alive.
I detect the pear, jasmine and the saffron which manifests as a creamy suede scent. Quite a beautiful effect. But the ginger is completely absent for me, which is probably the reason I don’t view it as a fragrance with a lot of presence. I think this one could turn around for me with a little added ginger. I’ll try boosting it with a bit of the ginger essential oil I have and see if that makes a difference.
As it stands, for me this is a safe office wear fragrance and a nice interpretation of a subtle saffron floral. The saffron is treated very nicely here. The price point is relatively good, too. So, all things considered – not a bad buy.

I love this one so much and am slowly running out of my bottle. I am very afraid that this might get discontinued some time in the future. Here in the Netherlands and Germany, the lotion isn’t sold in all stores anymore. It’s the same thing with the different sizes of the edp, there is always one or two sizes missing (in the webshops) and don’t see the edt version at all anymore.
This is one of the most sexy and alluring scents, while still being feminine and not too much, and also wearable all year round fragrances!
I will be so sad if they get rid of it.. I have a bad predicting feeling in my belly :/ 🙁
Let’s hope I’m wrong. Everybody buy this fragrance, so they will keep it!!!! :p

  46. :

I know at the first time when I saw Idole pyramid that there’s something missed. It didn’t include honey, patchouli and styrax that I can smell when i spray this on my skin and include the other note that had been missing. fortunately they fix it now!

  47. :

    4 out of 5

This really is sexy and one of the better department store perfumes. With its classy-spicy-citrus backbone it reminds me a lot of Theorema by Fendi, but a little bit more rough around the edges.
Lasting power is decent, but not as much as I’d expect from the notes list. Sometimes it gets screechy or falls flat, so I imagine your experience depends if you are having a good Idole skin day.

  48. :

    4 out of 5

Sexy, Seductive, Sultry and Sophisticated. Best worn at nighttime with your little black dress. But not bad to wear it during the day if you want to ooze with confidence because of its flirtatious smell, just like saying ‘if you want me, just come and get me’.

  49. :

    4 out of 5

Terribly bitter for 30 minutes or so,
then the middle notes & base are reversed for me-
First I get spicy which I love ,then a very pretty floral ,
that is perfect , not too soft not to notice but not to bold that it is annoying .
This is a very well done one in my opinion.

You can trust Armani to come up with simple yet undoubtedly perfect creations. This is a floral fruity on me with pear and patchouli dominance..There is an occasional whiff of saffron and ginger, but to me personally- ginger and pear flavours are quite similar, hence pear is always made stronger when ginger is present..I also detect a little almond sweetness if really concentrate 🙂
Not a bad smell- would be a great alternative if you are a fruity florals lover and are looking to change things a little.
Not the frag I expected to smell after seeing that commercial by the way 🙂

I love this scent. Reading the other reviews and the rating of the notes, I see my experience of it is very different than most everyone else, and for that I feel lucky. I get a strong vetiver and honeyed bitter orange with lighter patchouli and rose. Lighter still is ginger and pear. It is very strong and long lasting on me, but not heavy or headache inducing. I’m so happy I found Idole! It has made my “top shelf”. Its definitely an evening scent on me, but i admit, i’ve worn it to work a time or two.

At first I didn’t like it. Seemed too strong and a little bit masculine. But then… I felt its charm- the delicate rose, the pear… a wonderful mixture. Feminine, elegant and very seductive fragrance!

Oh wow, I love it. One of few successful blind-buys. On me, it’s pure floral with some spiciness. Hardly any fruit at all. It does smell expensive & elegant, and not so teeny. Long lasting, like 6-7 hours. Instantly became my signature.

I just bought this as a blind buy, was very 50/50 on getting it or not because of the review. Been looking for a ginger scent with some florals. So I recevied it last night, wearing it today. It’s a lot sweeter than I expected. the ginger is only upon opening and leaves very fast. I don’t mind the pear note its fruity but light, but OMG there is just way too much honey in this fragrance. It gave me a small headache its that sweet. It does soften to a pretty scent which smells very classic, I can’t put my finger on the scent but reminds me of something. It takes quite some time for that honey to settle down. Once it does the floral notes smell good, its pretty but I thought there would be a lot more ginger in this. If I wouldn’t have bought it blind and smelled it in a dept. store, would not have gotten my sale. Maybe I would’ve done better with the EDT which doesn’t contain honey. It does last a good 10-12 hours which I was very surprised with.
Update: After not wearing it for a couple weeks, it’s grown on me now. I guess, this is one of those confusing scents for me. Doesn’t smell as sweet to me as before, and I’m smelling the ginger more. This does smell like something very classic like something my mom would wear at my age, although she’s really not big on fragrances. Don’t confuse it, It’s not an old lady scent lol. But its grown on me a lot, like it now, not regretting keeping it anymore, glad I kept it. Sometimes 2nd chances are worth it. 🙂

One of my favourite fragrances, and in my opinion possibly Aramani’s finest to date. It smells, elegant, classy, a very original scent. Warm, spicy and woody, a delicious combination.

I picked this up when it was on sale and I’m so glad I did. I seem to really love Armani perfumes and this fits right into my collection. I’ve never smelt anything like it. It’s very unique and I’ve had a lot of compliments from friends and family. My nans hoping to pick up a bottle for herself soon 🙂
When the perfume is first applied It’s very fresh and you can make out the pear and honey but also that spicy ginger note. Then after about thirty minutes I notice that it’s not as sweet and has a slight floral note but to me the best part of this perfume, is when it’s been lingering on your skin for about an hour. The dry down is beautiful. The honey and the almond comes together with the ginger and creates a stunning warm perfume that just shouts elegance.
In less than a week it’s taken a front row seat on my dressing table, the bottle is beautiful. I appreciate it’s simplicity. I have lots of other perfumes that scream “Modern” thankfully this just states “Classic”

Oh, how desperately I wanted to love this. Today, I finally did a skin test, and was horrified that it smelled like a bug spray. I don’t say this nastily, but it was instantly my impression that I was standing in a fresh cloud of Aeroguard (insect repellant).
Thankfully this impression only lasted 5-10 minutes, then some spicy and powdery notes took over. The final result was a pleasing spicy mix, and my husband said it was pleasant. But not pleasant enough to put up with the initial minutes of disgust.
So sad, as I was sure from the mix of notes, that I would really love this. Perhaps its the styrax that doesn’t agree with me, but whatever it is, its not worth suffering for even a few minutes at that price tag.
Hopefully there’s lots of wearers who really enjoy this creation, so I will leave it to them

I love this EDP! Fresh, slightly spicy and sophisticated. Great perfume for the fall and winter. Good staying power.

Review for Idole EDP: Absolutely loved this when I tried it on in the store – Pear, ginger, saffron, my favourite florals – Jasmine and Rose closing with the woody notes. Purchased a quite expensive bottle to be “my new best friend”! However, having opened the bottle, now find that I only get an hour tops before I can’t smell anything but the memory of the fragrance! It is a beautiful perfume but staying power is very poor on me. I have now resorted to spraying some on my blouse (wh
