Ulric de Varens I love You is a beautiful scent, which smells more elegant than the prejudice that its price tag may cause. I blindbought it because the audiance has voted it as a similar perfume with my favorite Trussardi My Name, but to my nose, it is not. It’s more girly and sweet, and definetly has a strong similarity with Prada Candy.

This is fairly linear and uncomplex but very pretty and not at all cheap smelling. I Love You is basically vanilla, heliotrope and benzoin, a very nice trio. It’s creamy and powdery and comforting and not overly sweet. Definitly has that lipstick/cosmetic vibe. That can turn me off a scent but I like it here. This is my second de varens scent and I’m pretty impressed with the house. I ordered a bottle online that arrived in a soaking wet padded mailer with maybe 35% left inside. That makes me sad because I know I will now go through it very quickly as the silage is so soft that I will definitly be reapplying/overspraying.
UPDATE: very similar to Prada Candy but without the caramel

The smell is sweet, soft and comforting…but also sensuous. it`s a simple and linear perfume that doesn`t smell tacky. I love a couple of the sweeter fragrances from UDV and think they are very good in creating those creamy, powdery scents…
Longevity however, is poor. But doing “touch-ups” during the day isn`t a problem due to the moderate price…
