Description
Lalique is celebrating 20 years in the fragrant business… and many more in the business of providing precious crystals for perfumes. In order to mark this important anniversary, they launched a new masculine fragrance aboard the luxurious Orient Express.
The spot chosen couldn’t be more laden with historical memory: Not only had René Lalique decorated several of the legendary train’s wagons with his ornate creations, but his grand-daughter Marie-Claude launched the first feminine scent by the house of Lalique, Lalique de Lalique, on the Orient Express herself in 1992.
Nowadays Lalique counts 9 fragrances in their catalogs, 5 for women and 4 for men, distributed in a selective circuit of doors.
Homage à L’Homme (Homage to Men), the newest Lalique fragrance, is a spicy woody fragrance for men which reads as a “niche” scent, developed by acclaimed perfumers Christine Nagel and Mathilde Bijaoui.
It will be available in two declinations: One in crystal for collectors (cost 1200 euros) with the sculpted Pan-pipe man, referencing the original sculpture made by René Lalique for the Orient Express in 1929. And another in glass designed by Thierry de Baschmakoff (Aesthete) which is inspired by Art Deco style.
Lalique is also reissuing the flacon “chèvrefeuille”, decorated in gold, in a limited edition of 50 numbered pieces for collectors, in celebration of its 20th anniversary. Hommage a L’Homme was launched in 2011.

I received a sample of this and I have been blown away. Beautiful fragrance reminiscent of Fahrenheit Le Parfum.
I also get a sour cherry juice vibe from this one. Really interesting fragrance.

Very mild like. I’m a violet lover but this one is just lackluster.

Unique. Heavy. Different. Elegant and beautiful.
Definitely NOT a blind buy. The longevity and sillage are each extraordinary. One spritz on the neck and I still can detect it in the evening.

Elegant. This is a lovely scent that I wasn’t expecting at all. I recently picked up a haul of lalique scents that I’ve been meaning to add to my collection. Lalique’s one of my favourite houses, in my Top 3.
Hommage opens with a sweet floral vibe that smells strongly of honey. I’m surprised not too many people mention the honey note, but it’s very present, and likely due to the oud/violet and tonka mix. It’s a honey floral that’s loud, but also soft. Syrupy, sweet, and an honestly wonderful scent that I’m very happy to have in my collection. You won’t offend people with this scent, unless you overspray in the dead heat of summer. While it’s sweet and syrupy, it’s not overly sweet. The oud is there, but it’s synthetic oud. Westerners won’t notice it too much, but it may be a bit of a disappointment if you know what real oud smells like, or if you’re familiar with middle eastern attars. However I actually prefer this light synthetic oud in this composition because it makes the scent much more versatile and not offensive.
Surprisingly, this scent seems, despite its classiness and elegance, a very versatile fragrance that I can see being worn on warmer days both casually and in the office. I quite recommend this one based on its unique scent profile and versatility. the florals are just right, and the calming effect of the honey oud just makes you keep smelling your arm for a hit of that lovely warming elegance. I really love this, honestly.

Personal Appreciation: A lovely honey floral that exudes sophistication and warmth.

It’s a grower, not a “shower”.
Started wearing this again after a break, and man it’s lovely.
A floral body with an elegant, flittering woody-freshness.
Forms a nice “second skin” around you for those days you want to make an understated statement without being pretentious.
Makes me feel “well-to-do” in a totally approachable way!
muskatel – :
nice opening and middle notes, after three hours changes to some totally feminine floral note, I guess it’s labdanum. It’s impossible to wash it off.
King_Devil – :
This is so unique
Rubbery honey oud with sprinkles violet and tobacco.
Similar category as Versace dreamer. (Not same) more rounded.
Lalique keeps on impressing me.
I like the vogeuer flanker better but this is not too far off.
Cold weather only
Can be cloying.
One of those cologne that need very clean/sweat free skin. Otherwise it comes of bit musty.

Lovely, calm, seductive scent for autumn walks in the city, I am going to buy it after the summer heat. The little sister of Fahrenheit. But hey Lalique! Really? Such a poor longevity and sillage for this masterpiece? oh c’mon!! >:(
exhitleHaljex – :
Just a quick opinion:
This is a magnificent fragrance, very well blended, excelent quality.
It similar to Fahrenheit (disgrace!!!!)…. without the gasoline scent (great!!!!)….
Fahrenhite is a great (really excelent) perfume but the gasoline scent makes me nausea. So I just can’t stand it while the gasoline accord lasts.
So just imagine the equation:
Hommage a L’Homme = (Fahrenhite – Gasoline accord) = Lalique Masterpiece
ksana64 – :
im not sure it was for the 20th of anniversary of lalique fragnances (ca 1991) or the 20th anniversary of bouchern pour homme (also from 1991)…it smells exactly the same. well, 90% the same, but nearly 98% the same as “Boucheron Homme Eau de Toilette Fraicheur 2008” which was an attempt to make this old school frag a bit less dusty (it failed)
i really, really love lalique parfumes, encre noire is on my permanent rotation and insoumis is a super crispy and largely beautiful scent too, so i hate to talk poorly of their creations, but if you are under 70 years old, just walk. there is not much practival value in hommage. it would make a georgeous home frag, but i really dont think that this is how men smells like in this century, and society dont seem to think that way either.
Alexsl – :
I can see why this one gets mixed reviews – it’s not for everyone. It’s a floral-wood blend, but not sweet and bright like YSL Pour Homme – and where that one has a crowd-pleasing musk, the sultry note in this comes rather from an almost dusty musk that I imagine is a result of the violet leaf and pepper blending with it to make what I can only describe as a “bookish” musk, a mature aroma I’d associate with the curator of a library of antique tomes. Among men’s scents it is certainly unique.
It is an understated scent, quite safe for an office or school, and while projection and sillage are pretty light, typical of Lalique it has solid staying power. I catch wafts of it as I move for reliably 9-10 hours so the sillage is definitely there, at least on my skin.
It also hits some very nostalgic chords for me. I don’t even know what it reminds me of, but I imagine my mother must have occasionally worn a woody violet scent during my youth.
For me this is an exceptional, mature scent, a niche-quality bargain – but like niche scents, there are many who won’t like it – but those who like it will probably love it.
mirra – :
Bought this as a blind buy based on some of the reviews here.
My take is that it is very similar to Courvoisier another blind buy that I did not much care for.
I am not sure what it is that I dislike about this fragrance, I just don’t find it very interesting or unusual. The dry down is actually pretty good, although by then the sillage disappears.
Would not buy again. 3/10
nikporshe – :
It’s a brave blind buy, but worth it.
The dry down is very masculine and very long lasting – especially on fabric – and I can easily detect the oud, its a million miles away from its initial floral opening, again floral but masculine. I don’t think this is in any way a unisex fragrance.
It sits well on my skin and projects well, longevity and silage are good too. The opening is a oily fresh tonic blast which evolves slowly into a lovely masculine violet accord and ends with woody oud dry down. My bottle is a 100ml Art Deco geometric rectangle design, not sure what size bottle the one with classical figure features on? either way it’s the best bottle on my shelf by a mile.
Beautiful all round and a great scent!!
ryz184bedyWelty – :
Very nice scent, love the opening but there are a lot of nice scents, this one seemed to have no longevity and very little silage, but my wife paid me a compliment today. Go figure, from her it’s like pulling teeth. I couldn’t drag a compliment out of her. We all have people in our life, that think our passion for fragrance is nuts. Well she’s one of them and SHE gives me a compliment on this one. Out of all the great fragrances I ever owned not a word, on this one she does, It baffles the brain!

Lalique is such a good designer house, and this is such a good scent.
It starts off with a floral, almost slightly sour burst that fades quickly into a beautiful, but masculine, floral opening. After an hour or so there is a super sneaky oud that is very subtle and a little hard to pick up, but it is there backing things up and holding the rest of the notes together.
Hommage a L’Homme is a versatile scent that can be worn in pretty much all seasons, dressed up to casual. It smells like a niche fragrance that is masculine, but so different from the mainline masculines we are so used to.
Maybe the best thing about Lalique is how inexpensive these amazing scents are. Blind bought this one and it jumped to the top of my favorite fragrances.
fjx208intitytek – :
Another great bottle and another great, great fragrance from one of my favourite houses…I have 4 fragrances of this house and all of them are superb! This is a different smell. And i like different smells.
Great job, once again, Lalique!
djonik1981 – :
Sophisticated, artistic, warm, comforting, powerfully masculine.
The presentation is exquisite, a beautiful art-deco style bottle, heavy tight fitting cap, elegantly proportioned.
The opening of this fragrance is stunning.
Violets are in there. I suspect labdanum is key to the base notes but I have to admit I’m not entirely sure what it smells like. This one leaves me speechless.
Performance is great – sillage, longevity both excellent.
Non-linear, evolves in a very interesting way.
Multi-faceted work of art.
sanja71 – :
Stunning violet oud, the sort of oud that is fruity, leathery and woody without any animalics or smoke. Classy from start to end. At the price it sells for, buy up!
inoniajoync – :
AS many of Lalique frags it’s a challenging scent, not for everyone. in the opening I really get the smell of a stack of dollars, i mean literally not metaphorically. It reminds me when i withdraw money it’s the same smell. The dry down is very heavy floral, i think it goes well for a mature man. let it grow in you. Not a blind buy…..
Alex1380 – :
Hommage a L ‘ Homme by Lalique is the equivalent of a well dressed gentleman stepping into the florist’s shop and pinning violet leaf onto his jacket lapel. And guess what? It is wonderfully COMFORTING! Yes, this another knockout of a scent from Lalique and it owns up to that consistent Lalique quality. HLH is a very rich linear scent and doesn’t really display a great separation of notes. I dare say this fragrance is a bit linear but the violet notes are so spring time sweet that it doesn’t matter. HLH is comes off clean, slightly soapy, and very florally sweet.
As for the other notes? I get a dusting (I am being very generous here) of oud. The labdanum, tonka and musk form a very rich base to this scent and accent the overall sweetness of the violet and violet leaf. HLH is fairly long lasting and projects decently. This scent is better suited for spring in my opinion and can be worn casually or in an office setting. HLH is a well blended fragrance and is very fun to wear, it feels airy and free yet comforting. HLH does a bit of everything and checks all the boxes for the wearer.
HLH should be worn on a calm spring day when you feel like surprising that special someone, or dropping a surprise visit on a friend you haven’t seen in a while. Trust me you’ll smell as sweet as your intentions.
Коля Rammfann – :
I had to back up what my buddy ‘Oldspice” said down below, I totally agree with his description of this cologne, I do enjoy the opening a lot but in the contrary it does not remind me any other cologne which I think is even better because talks about the uniqueness of the fragrance, by the other hand for the dry down and being an Oud fan as well, I do not sniff Oud at all, I am surprised it has many votes for the oud in the contents.
anyhow I do love this one and I think is very versatile and can be worn in any season.
yavlad – :
I purchased Hommage and Hommage Voyageur blind figuring I was going to like at least one. They’re both amazing.
Hommage opens up with a lot of violet leaf. Some find the opening too aggressive, I enjoy it. The violet leaf is where people are reminded of Fahrenheit but there’s not that much similarity.
After the violet leaf dies down the violet floral note come out. It’s a bit powdery and slightly sweet but stays masculine with the well-blended woody base. The woody base doesn’t smell like oud to me.
You may think by the note breakdown that this is a winter fragrance but it’s light and fresh enough to work in most weather except hot summer days.
As usual with Lalique, the bottle is very nice and ‘bang for your buck’ value is off the charts.
karl53 – :
To me this fragrance kinda has a similar smell to YSL l’homme libre. Although a little less in your face. And I’m one of those people that think that both of the those fragrances have that Fahrenheit vibe to them. Hommage is a really nice fragrance.
enrorbgox – :
I am in the minority here, I might understand the high rating if you’re grading the end-life of this scent which is nice.
The opening though, wow, just a bit too rough for me. The notes just don’t come across as harmonious or seem to “jive”, to me. Violet is okay but does not do well with oud/agarwood to my nose.
It will last well on the skin and is masculine enough but I don’t feel like waiting around for this to mellow.
DISKOUA – :
The opening is nice enough but it’s the drydown that breaks it for me. The drydown smells like some kind of bark (not oud/agarwood). If that’s your thing, I would wholeheartedly recommend this fragrance to you because the bark smell is done very well. On my skin, this fragrance lasts far longer than the Voyageur flanker. I do not detect a petrol/gasoline note whatsoever. I also can’t comprehend why anyone would call this powdery. Ashy yes, powdery no way.
hanfkaoer – :
Very classy dark floral scent with an almost oily texture. Cool and refined. Smells alot more expensive than it is.
wzik08 – :
I’ve been debating how I feel about this scent for several months. Sprayed throughout the cold winter, it just hugs the skin, desperate for warmth, projecting mere millimeters. Now, in the lengthening days of springtime, it takes the spotlight to display its role in the universe. It is cool, though on a warming trend. It creeps cautiously from the shadows into the glare of daylight; as clouds emerge, it darts for the safety of cover. Its saffron is actually the pollen of the crocus flower, the first flower of the year in my garden. Once Easter passes, I’ll pack this gem away until the snow begins to melt next spring, for this is a spring scent for me. It represents the cheer and optimism of the coloring of the landscape by spring’s flowers. I know the oud is there, but my brain only registers the violet and saffron….my cabin fever will allow nothing else to get through. I’m not sure if I’ll replace this bottle once it’s gone, but I definitely won’t swap it.
buran1981-16 – :
My experience has been totally enjoyable, I really liked this Lalique lotion. I could smell at first the notes of leaves of violet and bergamot that make her feel fresh but only the first few minutes since afterwards she feels a note like rubber or leather. It also has woody and spicy notes, this combination gives it a scent like tobacco and something mossy but dry, probably given by oud, saffron and musk. Hommage is a very masculine fragrance and with excellent longevity, may not have too much projection but is remarkable and will not go unnoticed. I see it for use in office and even for some night out, Totally timeless and without age limit
sashapid – :
Right, so there I spray it on me, and I’m waiting… I want to cough, get my nose out of the reach because of the evaporating alcohol, and nothing. I get my nose close to my skin and inhale, and yes, I’m quite happy about it, but why is it so incredibly weak on sillage. Just beyond me. Yes, it has a resemblance to the much more expensive Acqua di Parma Oud, but what the difference. Don’t get me wrong here, because I really think that Lalique got it right, but why oh why so weak. Enough of that.
The violet and oud is there prominent, and creates a good blend. It has a warm quality over it, yet the bottle has an classic ice-cold appearance. The bottle is also quite heavy, but that’s all the glass and thus appears larger.
The scent is rather universal when it comes to age. As with every less fruity or aquatic undertones, it immediately appeals to distinction and little bit of class. It sharpens your senses. It’s not a dull scent that make you feel like you are in a candy store.
I consider this blend as a very much a day scent, suitable for an office and business. It does not project much its quality. Early evening is also alright, but not that good for a late evening and night adventures.
voffka54 – :
Very unique and elegant.
This fragrance is very intriguing as it gives off one air of light, aromatic, sweet floral notes; while at the same time taking on a completely different, dare I say opposite warmer, smokey, woody aspect.
Classy and timeless – like 2016 and 1920 merged for the day!
Love this juice! Makes you feel like a million bucks.
liudmilad – :
Light, sweet, powdery, floral violet petals sprinkled over a slab of rich, oily, syrupy, solid, dark wood. I’ve struggled with oud on and off for a long time, but blended with a floral like this it’s good. The notes are so different yet still in tune; like someone playing a really low note and a really high note on the piano at the same time- too far apart to form a chord, but nonetheless harmonious and in the same key. It has both a light, attractive (I hesitate to say pretty) side and a deep, unctuous, sexy side, which makes it unusual. It’s a really interesting and accomplished scent. Light office scent or sexy night-time scent? Well it’s both – it just depends how you think about it. For that reason it’s a very clever paradox.
And the bottle is beautiful, of course; it’s Lalique!

Eli4-vredinka – :
I really dont get the comparisons to fahrenheit at all. I was worried that it was going to smell too similar to it but I just received mine in the mail and was pleasantly surprised. The violet is way different in the sense that it is sweeter and smells more floral. No ashyness as some people described either. Tobacco? Maybe. Honestly if i were to just get a whiff of it on the streets i would think it was just a really refined fragrance with fruity notes kind of like michael kors for men. Its in the same vein even though the notes arent the same. I also dont get the whole 35 and up vibe either as some people have said. Im not a fan of 70s and 80s powerhouses at all and I find this perfectly wearable. It might not be suitable for teens but college and up would pe perfectly fine. If you are turned off by fahrenheit and that gasoline note don’t let it hold you back from getting this because this is way different.
shaitn – :
Blind buy because of the reviews on here. And because I like Encre Noire Sport by Lalique.
First blast – great! Sprayed my wrist 5 times……honestly I cannot smell anything!
Sprayed my shirt 10 times…… can barely smell anything.
Super weak longevity & no projection … at all.
Nice bottle though.
roman_58 – :
Very interesting smell. Very good Lalique.
Mooguelestodo – :
Hommage a L’Homme is the first Lalique scent to disappoint me. I had already been enchanted by the uniqueness of Encre Noir and surprised by the versatility of Lalique Pour Homme, but Hommage fell short. It attempts to be as innovative as Encre Noir and as wearable as Pour Homme, but ends up being neither.
The dominant note throughout is violet. It is very, very sweet. Paradoxically, Hommage is also incredibly sour, and I’m not quite sure why. There are some nice notes in there, like the unlisted tea note, or the sweet oud, which sadly struggles to be heard over the violet. But nothing really comes together cohesively, and the contrasts are too stark to be enjoyable.
I really tried with Hommage, wearing it several times with an open mind. I wanted so much to like it. Sadly, it’s not for me. If you like it, though, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by its good longevity and decent projection.
val31 – :
I am loving the strong black tea notes with the more subtle Oud. What a relaxing scent.
naumchaofan – :
This starts with an explosion of violet. Purple, purple, purple. Good longevity—4 hrs. 25 & older. A manly scent. A masculine floral cologne. No questions about is this a man’s scent.
Projection is solid—arm length.

AMAZING! That is all!
Anything with Labdanum and Tonka Bean is a Go for me as I noticed I love fragrances with those notes so they had to be key components so I had to try this…Once I did i needed it asap! Couldnt find it anywhere yet by chance a friend had it in his bathroom and I had to try it, still couldnt find it anywhere and no one even heard of it until I saw it at a discount parfume warehouse in Miami. Got it for 30 dollars (yes its the real thing) and it was as amazing as I remembered, now im gonna go back to the same place and get the Voyager version which I am intrigued to try. Hope I like it since they dont have a tester)
Cant describe this but to me its a niche version of a complex mixture of Dior homme, Violeta’s Baby cologne and a subdued version of stong now famous oud note with recent fragrances and a little bit of fresh sour citrus lime for awakening the senses and black pepper for a kick, perfect combo.
liana5 – :
Hommage a L’Homme is a fresh, floral, powdery, a little sweet and spicy masculine fragrance. The top notes I get are vivid safran, vivid violet leaf, vivid violet, oud and pepper but I do not get any musk at all. Generally a good fragrance for all year around but not for hot weather! The violet leaf is the chief here and the other notes come after that. The longevity and the sillage are moderate. A very nice and safe option for men. I like it!
zlobster13 – :
Pretty subtle, smooth scent that is masterfully blended to balance the dark oud against the bright/sweet florals. The overall impression is similar to R de Revillon, imo. Both have that smooth “player” vibe to them. Although, I do prefer R de Revillon to this because this one is just a bit too sweet for me. Still a very nice scent, though. 7/10 overall and 9/10 for value.
Polejaite – :
One of the best.
nicolette231 – :
Subtle and refined, slightly sweet if you care to notice. The oud is present yet the floral notes do well to balance the oud.
This fragrance is clean and modest yet it has personality. I think it is a modern composition of a classic recipe.

The price is very reasonable when compared with other beautiful perfumes so 8/10
Versatile, formal and informal, day and night. Office or Theatre or restaurant. 8/10
Perfume (impo) 7/10
Sillage 6.5/10

Lalique hommage a l’homme is truly a phenomenal fragrance. I can imagine Jay Gatsby wearing this as the juice and the bottle truly gives you that vibe. It smells classy, masculine, and timeless. It opens with citrus and vetiver with just a hint of violet. The violet really gives it another dimension without making it smell too feminine. It then turns into this woodsy, warm masterpiece. This makes you want a glass of champagne. The art deco bottle is just stunning, one if my favorite bottle designs. This fragrance could very well become a modern classic and is very unique. Lasts on my skin for around 4-5 hours, overnight on clothes. If you are looking for a fragrance with quality juice, style, class, and sophistication, look no further than this.
arlekin81 – :
Out of Lalique’s men’s fragrance this juice is in the top 3. I’ve had this juice since mid last year. I didn’t use it until the early fall.
As soon as I sprayed it on my skin I pick up a powdery/woodsy scent from tonka bean and this nectar of honey giving it a slightly sweet undertone which acts like bee’s being busy….oh ha :))
The layer violet/violet leaf with musk adds a real warm floral aroma. There’s a smig of pepper and tonka bean which awakens your senses.
Longevity and Silage is better than moderate lasting 6-8hrs when I spray it once on my skin.
Finally thoughts,
I adore the quality of this fragrance giving it depth. I would class this as a black tie/suit fragrance. The juice has a very SOPHISTICATED AND CLASSY vib. In my opinion this fragrance could be worn almost all year round. Rating this amazing GEM is easy…9.5/10. This juice is very affordable without it putting a hole in your wallet. This fragrance could be considered a nieche fragrance because of its high quality aroma..why shouldn’t be?
DoctorAlbert – :
The scent is classic, formal and matured. Better for men over 30 or even 35. It’s more suitable for suit and tie for office setting. Floral and powdery at first then slowly dry out to a spicy wood scent. Moderate sillage but long lasting.
vovan48lip – :
A classy and subtly sweet violet note over a powdery base of saffron and a cleanly spiced oud. This fragrance exudes understated class at a noticeable, though polite level of projection. It’s refined and calm, and casts a professional, almost intellectual air around its subject. I love the way the violet has been treated in this composition, never feeling to dry or bitter gray or too green and leafy. It’s like that pale and fragrant light purple shade of violet that’s just a touch sweet and perhaps more moist than dry. The tonka/musk combination in the base is fantastic, creating what is really a unique and lasting accord, very different from your standard woody base. On me, the violet note dominates over the others, and leads the front. I always feel composed and grounded when I wear this, and prefer to wear it with a business-casual style of dress. Excellent longevity and absolute bargain at $35, as this is probably my favorite offering from Lalique, and that includes their masterpiece, Encre Noire. Thumbs up, and a recommended blind buy for anyone over 30. If you’re younger, you may want to sample first unless you’ve always been a fan of ‘mature’ styles of fragrances.
FYI: Do not expect to receive the bottle that’s displayed at the top of this page (the bottle with the statue of the man on the front). You’re much more likely to receive a square bottle (like the ones in the advertisements below), which are very nice in their own way.

TanjaRoma – :
I agree with the masses that this is a nice fragrance, but I also think there are some misses with its overall effect.
The scent of this seems to rely heavily on its base. To me, my nose picks up on a cedar scent before anything else. That’s why I added “Black Walnut” by Banana Republic as a similar fragrance. They are not the same, but definitely have some of the same things (especially the cedar base) in common.
Another review mentioned that the opening is the best part of its scent, and I whole hardheartedly agree. People say that’s when oud is detectable, but man it fades fast. So does the violet. This is disappointing, because these make the fragrance seem more unique and whole. All in all, I would say this is much more “woody” than “powdery” or “spicy”. I just sprayed it again, and seriously, the fact that it dies so quickly from that opening is sad. In the beginning it is so much fresher and bright.
Because of the wood, it does carry the masculine vibe, so “Hommage a L’Homme” is a fitting name.
This fragrance is very versatile, but I would suggest wearing it at the office or to more formal type gatherings. It doesn’t seem to fit the casual wardrobe because it does carry a classy vibe. This is also a scent that many people will probably enjoy, as it doesn’t stretch any aspect too far. The scent is warm and approachable, and you won’t push anyone away with too much sillage.
While I like this stuff, it did fall a little below what I was hoping for. It is very close to “Black Walnut” so maybe “Black Walnut” is similar to Dior “Fahrenheit”.
As you probably already know, the bottle is marvelous and the sprayer is about as good as they can get.
The bottom-line is that the overall presentation of this fragrance is great for the money you pay, so as long as you don’t already have something similar in your war-chest of frags this is a worthy buy.
rdb888JeomiWogkig – :
This is intriguing as it smells a little different each time I wear it. Sometimes I get the sharpness of Dior Fahrenheit, but sometimes I get a little rubber. Either way, mechanic shop in a good way. I just used the last of a 5ml decant and will likely not purchase it unless I see a great deal, which they usually are pretty cheap for how awesome all Lalique smell. Again, as all Lalique, way under priced compared to the market. People tend to be black and white regarding Lalique as they love it or not. High quality, but close enough to Dior Fahrenheit I will chose Dior.
zrc539Negeltzex – :
This fragrance is beautiful. It seems every time I put on a new Laique to test I’m taken by how well constructed they are for their price. Perhaps it’s because the nose behind it is Christine Nagel who authored other laliques I’m fond of. This one is well thought out, and while non offensive and non taxing to olfactory senses, it has a certain degree of uniqueness that prevents if from being in any way boring. There’s a distinct sense of class about it. It’s gentle yet very strong in the sense that it has good structure and carries itself with effortless strength while being worn. Easy to wear, I think that’s part of what I like most about it. And yet you feel you are wearing something that is of a very good quality. One I am grateful to have had the opportunity to experience in fact. Thank you Lalique, I tip my hat to you.
As far as notes go, I’m enjoying a soft yet very present and appealing violet with a slightly smokey oud. There’s the peppery saffron and as it dries down the oud brings a certain slight tanginess to the picture. The appeal for me increases as it dries down.
As a fragrance It’s reminiscent of Fahrenheit in some respects but I prefer this in that it doesn’t have the petrol smell I get from Fahrenheit, instead it’s cleaner, more wearable, perhaps a little lighter but better structured in my opinion.
This is worth more than what you pay for it as well, so a great scent for those hunting for a bargain. Perfect for the office environment. It gets my vote – easily.

This is amazing stuff the bottle is beautiful and the scent is stunning. It’s modern and mature and smells much more expensive than it is. I’m not much good at picking out notes but from the opening to the dry down it is sublime. It’s fresh but doesn’t smell too generic, and to me pretty inoffensive. It’ll also get compliments, someone in an elevator told me it smelled nice and was more subtle than most fragrances. That’s also how I’d describe it, subtle but with class and a certain level of maturity that goes along with it. And that’s what I love about this fragrance it makes me feel like I’m part of some aristocracy, that’s the type of class this gives off to me. Also, I’ve seen a few people say that this would fit an older man in his 30s but I’m much younger than 30 and I wear this very comfortably. This is a very safe blind buy but don’t think you’ll get anything mediocre. My new signature scent as well.

A floral-aromatic scent that opens with violet leaf which sends a link in my mind to Fahrenheit (but the connection will disappear rather quickly). Although it has some weight to it, it doesn’t jump too much off the ski
