Orange blossom is also in this, though not listed above. On my skin, this is a sparkling citrus incense scent. It’s soft and inviting. Don’t get much rose from my batch, which is fine by me. Great for a dreary day. Natural ingredients are well blended. The frankincense is amazing. I mostly wear this for myself. When worn out the scent vanishes and reappears again. Favorite Dominique Dubrana scent.

I like this very much. The frankincense is beautiful; very uplifting to me. There’s a lovely soft rose, and the sandalwood is perfectly blended. I find it very soothing, and I love wearing it when I’m relaxing at home, or in a quiet natural environment, where there’s water and trees and quiet.
Very peaceful.

Simple and clean, a beautiful and pure incense. This feels more like a spiritual purifier, offering you an elevated vibration, more than an actual perfume. Having said that, the scent is incredibly wearable for an incense. It starts off almost lemony with a strong and bright olibanum opening. Then the rose shines through a bit, and sandalwood only ever plays a supporting role balancing it all out. The simplicity here is almost genius. However, the performance is extremely weak. It has a subtle projection, but is gone in under and hour. Hence the spiritual purifying quality instead of perfume. If it performed better I’d pick up a bottle.

I did give this a second try and I shook the bottle very well. Still not my favorite; very heavy incense and boy do I know incense having attended innumerable and strictly traditional Catholic masses many years ago.
The incense is not smoky for sure, but I definitely can distinguish myrrh and frankincense among others. The rose is very faint on me, and the dry down takes a while for the sharp strong incense to fade. When it does, it is lovely powdery rose.
Perhaps there is some other factor at work here, as I have no idea why Mellyhelly experienced Acqua Santa as a light incense. I certainly didn’t over apply after my first try. Lucky Mellyhelly!
I do definitely agree that Dominique Dubran is a gifted perfumer; I have 8 of his perfumes and while I may not love them all, there is no denying his great skill and the love manifest in his creations.

I love La Via Del Profumo fragrances, but for some reason the incense in Holy Water was not pleasant; it was bitter and very strong. I’m amazed that it could be light and pleasant on anyone! I get no rose at all until hours later, and it is very faint.
I will give this scent another try- maybe I need to shake the bottle before I use it? Did I get a funky batch? For now, I’d recommend any other one from Dominique Dubran.

I love incense and woody fragrances, so I expected this to be a home run. I was therefore shocked when my first spritz launched an immediate assault of sour tea rose and a watery, pickle-woody aspect. Over time, the incense became more noticeable, but the sour rose scent continued to dominate. The overall effect for me is one of bathroom cleanser. I’ve had success with other scents from this line, but Holy Water smells anything but on my skin.

Dominique Dubran is kind of genius.
I like many of his fragrances and dislike others according to my tastes, but they are all well-made.
Acqua Santa (Holy Water) is delicious, light but persistant, poetical and spiritual. It’s such a soft incense, no churchy heavy smoky thing here.
It’s a perfume that anyone could wear and enjoy for themselves, men, women, even children maybe. The rose is soft and gentle and the whole blend is a work of balance. very lovely and good for mood-improving.
