I recently blind-bought this fragrance and have worn it 4 times now. It will surely end up on my profile’s “favourites” list.
Respect for Mancera for making such awesomely performing fragrances. This one has superb sillage, great projection and lasts an exceptionally long period of time. This is the case will well nigh all of the Manceras i own.
Don’t fear the cannibis note. Its not skunky or screaming, but rather herbal and fleeting, giving way to a bright woody incense vibe which lasts and lasts. Definitely niche, but tame niche and office appropriate.
    Highly recommended.

Just received today and I am very surprised and delighted to have this in the wardrobe. A blind buy, yet a great fragrance with great longevity that really blossoms once sprayed!
Hindu Kush is a strong oriental woodsy (perhaps, do to the cannabis note) fragrance with a slightly sweet bent! I get the spices, labdanum, incense, the strong patchouli leaf, mixed with some amber, vanilla, and musk that is very detectable. A good frag head (hednic-basenotes) shared some insight, ultimately assisting in the decision to acquire this, which really helped.
Hindu Kush is very strong,…POTENT is the correct word; you do not need much of this, as with this brand-some you only need a spray and a half and you are set on projection, longevity, silage, and performance. This is no different; you could get by with only two sprays maybe 2 & 1/2 and you are GOOD FOR THE ENTIRE WEEK….lol!! If you go more than that you will need EMS services because you will choke and you will cause those around to pass out!!
    Performance: 9/10
    Projection: 9/10
    Silage: 8.5/10
    Longevity: 9/10
    Overall: I give this a 9/10; a WONDERFUL fragrance!
(I have the 120ml bottle, so this will be around forever because not much is needed while wearing; unlike my friends in other reviews, if you’re apprehensive about the cannabis note (I was also…) rest assured that you will not walk around smelling like you just rolled a joint/blunt. The sweetness and smokiness overshadows anything that gives the impression of weed.)
There is a very very small resemblance to Amouage’s Interlude Man! [that sweetish smoky vibe]
P.S.S., sprayed this yesterday morning [8:00am], woke the next day trying to figure out what the wonderful smell I was smelling and recognized it was Hindu Kush on my shirt from previous day!

you gotta be into to smoking weed to appreciate the vibe of this fragrance. It’s fnot for me … I hate the opening and the dry down is Amouage Interlude Man .

I own black afgano, which has an hashish note, and it has got nothing to do with Hindu Kush.
I have tried Smoke for the soul, which has a strong marijuana note, and it has nothing to do with Hindu Kush.
There is no weed thing here, and I know what I’m talking about.
Hindu Kush to me is mostly about wood. I think it is similar to Wind wood.
I also get some sort of cognac smell and I wonder where that comes from.
HIndu Kush is very long lasting and the sillage is average- but that mostly depends on the nose you possess, in my opinion.
Might be a safe blind buy, though that means there is nothing surprising about the fragrance.

No cannabis, no psychedelic notes, no originality but only a pleasant fragrance based on fine woods. Moreover it has a rather low longevity and an average acceptable sillage. Mancera certainly did better.

It’s a nice fragrance. Bob Marley would love the opening, It’s dank!! Would make a great fall and winter gem. Definitely an acquired taste, but very unique.

So being an avid fan of marijuana scents, this was a must try for me. The opening is pungent and definitely gives off the sticky Mary Jane vibe. The dry down, quite simply is black afgano. There may be a little more canibis in this version, but the overall feel and scent bubble is just way too close to black afgano. To me, this is uninspired. As a premier niche house, my expectation is that you hit me with unique scents that aren’t clones – this is what th designer stuff is for. Unfortunately, having owned BA for quite some time, there just isn’t a need for both. Hindu Kush smells nice – but smells like BA – and because of this, I’m out.

A joyfully euphoric Oriental, this perfume is a lovely ode to the magnificent Hindu Kush mountains in Central Asia which mystically are said to represent the transition between heaven and earth. The perfume opens on a spicy note with cumin, saffron, pepper and cloves, as well as labdanum, incense and the central cannabis note which remains throughout the stay of the perfume. It transitions to a brief middle consisting of patchouli and cedar with slight oud, and settles into a powdery base of amber, guaiac, vanilla and musk with the other notes (especially cannabis) hanging in the background. As with most Manceras it lasts forever but has a pleasing moderate sillage and projection. The perfume quietens considerably with time after its rather splashy opening. This is a unisex perfume leaning a bit masculine and can be worn almost anytime and anywhere. A very pleasant and happy surprise!

Holy Kannabinoids, Batman! They’re not playing. To me, yes, it really really does smell of strong, resinous, unsmoked but well-cured weed in a great big staanky burst on first spray, and that vegetal-resin edge lurks on for many hours later right there centre stage, flying its freak flag high. Surrounded by a calmer and mellower amber/patch/incense mix that sweetens things up considerably. Not quite redolent of the very best weed – or the very finest amber or incense or vanilla either to be honest, they’re all pretty workmanlike – but overall it hangs together pretty well. The woods are a bit fuzzy and not quite forward enough.
This particular Hindu Kush does do one really weird perceptual thing to my head – it has a built-in reverse-polarity love-hate thing. After the first fug subsides a bit, smelled from an arm’s length this is sweet and spicy aromatic – kept getting beautiful wafts as I walked. But nose to wrist, it’s very much rougher – almost too strong, verging on bossy. Strange. (Come to think of it, the harsher reek up close was when it started to smell a bit more like Black Afgano, which is one of my very few all-time scrub-it-off-me-NOW horrorscents. But oddly, even at its rankest moments, Hindu Kush was more than wearable on me, even though I could smell the resemblance to BA.)
So – a reasonably priced scent experiment if this is your thing. Unisex for anyone who can hack it. Projection’s robust and longevity solid. Personally I do like it, but just don’t, in fact, want to pay fragrance money to smell this much like weed!

More of a playful side of the cannabis note rather than the more serious By Kilian Smoke for the Soul and it does not smell like the weed, Hindu Kush. More wearable and last longer than By Kilian SftS and alot cheaper too.
I get a blast of cannabis, patchouli, vanilla and amber in the opening. A slight metal note too but after a few weeks of owning the bottle. That metal note seems to have disappeared.
Then comes the incense and some spices along with the cannabis, amber and vanilla.
Drydown I get cannabis, vanilla, amber, little bit of incense, some musk and woody notes.
    Longevity – 10+ hours
    Sillage – Average
Projection – Average (skin scent after 6-7 hours)
    Score – 7/10
Although not a head turner like SftS, HK is still a fairly decent frag leaning towards masculine but can be worn by a women due to the sweet notes from vanilla and amber.
Full bottle worthy if you like to be different.

I hope this isn’t just a gimmicky name and that this one actually smells like some real OG hindu kush. The best marijuana inspired fragrance I’ve encountered thus far has been Smoke for the Soul.
