“This is a story about Tokyo, a capital of Japan, land of the rising sun where contrast collides. Tokyo, a city of fashion, technology, culture and surrounded with great Japan’s natural resources.
Hikari (光), “Light” in Japanese, was composed around elements of light, the contrast between modern perfumery materials representing avant-garde fashion, city light and technology. Norlimbanol – dryness ambery woody with animalic undertone represents the energy of people who lights up the city. Ambroxan, musk and salicylate illustrate the city scape; bulky metal that built up the city. Javanol and cashmeran gives silky warmness texture of textile. Shining together at the same time are Kanto’s natural elements; unique scent of fully bloom spring Nashi pear ready to harvest in late summer, exotic sensuousness of Osmanthus absolue, fresh green of blackcurrant leaf and light green with dusty of dried yellow (Chrysanthemum) which also translated “sun” in Japanese. Lastly, the after work drinking culture from Hops flower absolue.
Hikari represent bright light from the sun in spring and summer by natural elements. While neon lights in fall and winter are through modern components.” – a note from the brand.
Hikari by Pryn Parfum is a Floral Fruity fragrance for women and men. This is a new fragrance. Hikari was launched in 2017. The nose behind this fragrance is Prin Lomros. The fragrance features pear, sake, woody notes, animal notes, amber, green apple, sandalwood, hibiscus, herbal notes, sweet notes, floral notes, green notes, ambroxan, chrysanthemum, cashmeran, osmanthus, ambrette (musk mallow), hops and black currant leaf.

For me, from the sample bottle it smells like apple-pear soft mix of nothing. On my skin it smells like soft pear. It lasts for 5 minutes and then there is nothing. I hate it. I will stick with Sandalo Nobile for smooth and soft perfume.

Unusual/urban fragrance very charismatic. Very complex, it opens with hints of sake and pear,but very soft and well balanced. An enigmatic and at the same time modern and fascinating imprint. I like it!

Now Hikari, is a cool breeze. it’s like that whiffing soring breeze that you get when around 1 pm on the green fields of Switzerland with a tropical yet an oriental flavor. It begins with a cooling breeze of white delicate floral, osmanthus, apples, pears, and green leaves with tiny hints of tea notes (mostly oolong tea). Bit by bit, the blend changes to rise up the tea note, osmanthus, cedar, and ambrette.
I’m not sure how sake smells like but it’s not boozy, as it’s more of a tea-ish blend with wooden, and ambrette mix.
This is the 2nd blend from this brand so far that changes dramatically from something to something that is 180 different! it begins with cooling breeze and settles into woody sour, and tea-ish breeze.
I can’t deny that it’s kind of interesting, i just need more time to try it.
