Apple juice, straight from the jar or carton – definitely not as crisp as a fresh-picked apple. I’m not getting any candy or cloying sweetness, just pure but intensely flavored juice. It’s probably good for layering with Demeter’s spices for a DIY fall gourmand scent. (One of their Cinnamon scents, Nutmeg Ice Cream, Cardamom, Fresh Ginger or Ginger Cookie, or other fruits and Dregs for a fall Sangria.) It might also be nice with one or more of their woods, to establish a cozy warm vibe. I bought it just because I like HK and it was inexpensive, so I’m happy it may have some wearability and not merely be an amusing accent for the bathroom. 🙂

I wish I could have found a smaller bottle…I collect all Hello Kitty perfumes, so I knew this would be sweet as sweet can be, but yuck. To me it smells like sickly saccharine kiddy cough syrup. I do smell apple, but more like an old, melting toffee apple. Hopefully it will grow on me, or the dry down will improve it, but I don’t think it’s going to last long enough for that.

To me this smells like Garnier Fructis. At first it is strong but dries down into a sweet apple scent however it does not last long and doesn’t have much sillage.

This scent is as SWEET as Hello Kitty! I really love this scent! I wear this to school every single day. When applied, there’s this distinct apple scent which make me feel like a little girl. But I find this scent even better when it dries down to a subtle, sweet scent which appears to have a tinge of vanilla scent. But the bad point of this fragrance is its weak staying power. It lasts for only 1-2 hours on my skin ):
Nevertheless, this is my signature scent, and will always be one of my favorites !

Red apple, green apple, yellow apple? Hmmm… I guess it’s all a matter of interpretation when it comes to these entirely, unrepentantly synthetic solutions.
Sanrio HELLO KITTY, of which I was sent a mini some months ago, smells to me as though it was drawn directly from the huge vat of light, somewhat sweet florientals from which most celebrities’ commissioned perfumers appear to commence. Then they add a touch of this or that–a bag of sugar, a bit of “citrus” interest up top, a few spices or what not–and slap their celebrity’s name on a bottle designed under their “creative direction” as well. With this worthy task completed, the perfumer hits the road with another line on his or her c.v. and a portfolio one page thicker than it was before.
The good news is that this mass market launch (unlike some fly-by-nighters) did not assault my central nervous system. The bad news is that it did not exceed my exceedingly low expectations. The perfumer must have gone AWOL on this one, as it’s about as generic as they get. I don’t even think that I could throw this mini in as an extra to a swap. (Well, at least not in good conscience…)

Pure apple. Maybe a possibility for layering under something else if you want to add a fruity note, but otherwise, I don’t get the point.

Straight-up green apple. Candy-ish. Should not be worn by anyone over the age of 12. It’s cute in its own way but like I said only for a little girl.

it’s just an apple scent; nothing complicated. it’s not bad, but it seriously smells like red apples if you were to pick one up and sniff the skin. i like it because it’s clean. as others have mentioned, it would be great for layering.

Sweet, slightly artificial fruit, but still fun and would be GREAT layered, say with a woody amber. Worth the price and perfectly suited to young girls. Layered, it would be a great element for everyone else, as long as you like sweet apples. Fun in many ways.

This is a fun apple scent. It starts out bright and tart and becomes softer, slightly sweeter (like a baked apple) and somewhat synthetic. I enjoyed it very much. It’s similar to Brandy and Christopher Brosius’ (CB I Hate Perfume) Brooklyn Bunny: Apple.
