It is a sensational perfume period. It is a warm blanket in a cold rainy night. It is so delicious, I have the small bottle for years but can not throw it at all.

This is a candy to eat, an oriental category.
Pralines, raspberries, orchids, caramel, red Orange, osmantus, magnolia, amber and juzu – such a composition!
    Fragrance like a dessert.
Sweet caramel and chocolates here, plus magnolia and orchids are doing their thing. Sweet night ….. when you make a trip to the fridge at night … cravings for candies.

I’m in love with this!!! It’s wonderful! Fantastic!! An amazing, unique and very unusual perfume. Completely stunning. Just for me! It’s incredibly bizarre, and gorgeous!! Sweet, fruity, lovely flowers, gorgeous praline and caramel, sweet citrus with a bite; a really dreamy creamy – magical perfume!! I think it’s really special. I think the name is so apt! It really is a happy spirit, magical, mysterious, perfume of the night! Absolutely gorgeous. It makes me a very happy spirit whenever I wear it!! It’s magical!

I bought this in summer and it didn’t impress me much at the time. Forward 6 months, and I decided to try it again. What a difference temperature makes! I very much enjoyed being wrapped in delicate blood orange and sweet caramel scent on a chilly day thank you very much. It opens up beautifully in colder weather revealing a hidden depth and character. I am so glad I kept it. Also, the floral note strongly reminds me of the body shop jasmine and neroli from a few years ago.

I don’t pick up any notes it seems like a uniform smell, more accurately Carroten tanning gel, 100% exact same scent. You take the beach with you without all the oily mess. Bought it for myself, gave it to mom and she used the heck out of it and now I took over. Longevity is phenomenal, 10+ hrs going strong – I take a shower and its there. BUT I cant really see it as a perfume because its SO tanning lotion in my face, still like it 🙂

Balsamic orange with sweet spices, syrupy-sweet, but in a good, sophisticated, gourmand way. I don’t get any florals, just praline, orange, caramel and amber.
To my nose, it is familiar with Givenchy Ange ou Demon, they have the same sweetness. BUT! HappySpiritMagicalNights has a unique plastic smell added to it. Lovely plastic smell, just like those rubber-plastic fashion Barbie-dolls I wanted to look like when I was a kid. Guess that’s why I love the smell so much.
What makes it not just wearable but even classy is the sillage. First five minutes it is a monster, little bit too much, but after that it begins to linger around you like a silk scarf. Comforting.
Longetivity is even better, two sprays in the morning to the back of my neck, and still get whiffs in the evening.

Very lovely scent. Also balmy in a way. I have 2 extra bottles new and sealed for swap. Make me a good swap proposal and we have a deal.
    Only track and trace postage.
    Greetings Elizabeth

Happy Spirit Magical Nights is a very interesting, unusual composition. I guess what makes this scent so intriguing is the unusual, and perceptively conflicting combination of notes, which include the yuzu fruit, osmanthus, blood orange and caramel. However, all the notes are blended to perfection, and together form a well balanced, delicious and truly unforgettable gourmand composition.
Magical Nights is a unique fragrance which really evolves and changes over time – it starts out quite citrusy, but then it smooths out, becomes more rounded, sweet and mellow…I wholeheartedly agree with the reviewer below me – this perfume truly has one of the most intoxicating and delicious drydowns ever! It’s like a thick, heavy cloud of caramel, praline and amber… It’s smooth and sweet, and will keep you glued to your wrist for hours! This is the complete opposite from the initial opening of this fragrance, which is based around sparkling fruity and citrus accords of raspberry and blood orange. There are also some floral accents, including magnolia and osmanthus, but they are quite faint, or maybe just so well blended that my nose is unable to tell them apart.
Despite being very sweet and distinctively gourmand, Magical Nights isn’t very girlish, and carries a lot of class and sophistication. It’s modern and stylish, and very suitable for an eventful night out or some other kind of special occasion. There are some similarities between this and the original Happy Spirit, the latter being much more fruity, centered primarily around raspberry and citruses. Magical Nights is much sweeter, and more interesting. And as much as I don’t normally care about seasons, I wouldn’t wear this outside colder months. I think this could easily become too cloying in warmer temperatures, however, it truly blossoms in cold weather. It’s a very distinctive perfume, and I guess not everyone will enjoy it, but if you are as much of a gourmand fan as I am, you are quite likely to fall in love with this deliciously fragrant beauty! 🙂

Happy Spirit Magical Nights is not for everyone.
It’s certainly one of the most unusual and most powerful fragrances I’ve ever tried.
It’s not a perfume you would wear just to go to office or in case you don’t want/need to be noticed, it’s a distinctive fragrance you can enjoy for yourself and for those you love but don’t spray it too generously because it could hurt others’ sensibility.
The opening is just citrus juice, strong, unusual blood orange and tart raspberry. It’s not at all the best part of it. Then I get a floral, not so comfortable note which I guess is magnolia. After I while it blends deliciously with the other strong floral note I smell (osmanthus) and the perfume gets richer and richer. The floral heart of the perfume doesn’t contain any orchid to me, which is a pity as I am a big fan of it, but this contributes to the originality of the fragrance. Chopard didn’t choose obvious ingredients for their creation, they put the emphasis on unusual and strong notes.
The base and drydown is absolutely the best part, it’s the gourmands’ triumph! Praline, caramel and amber take the crown and lead the perfume direction from the fruity floral side to the sweet gourmand side, making Happy Spirit Magical Nights one of the most remarkable sweet and enchanting fragrance ever!
Whereas Wish Magical Nights is a just a copy of the original Wish, I think HSMN is quite different from the original Happy Spirit, it suits the name perfectly as it’s definitely a winter and night warm fragrance.
The staying power is great, only one spray on your wrist is enough to smell gorgeous for many hours, it’s definitely a keeper, a special fragrance for special occasions but you have to be in the right mood to appreciate it completely. It deserves your full attention and I decided to gave it mine completely!

Blind buy – dissapointment. It smells very masculine to me, and not in a good way. But I love the bottle, so at least it’s decorative.

This is such an unusual fragrance, full of contradiction as it is fresh and light, heavy oriental floral and sweet gourmand all at the same time ! Strangely, the top and base notes are detectable right from the beginning…the fresh and sour combination of yuzu and blood orange, the intense magnolia, and the undertone of sweet praline are the first impression I get,and then the osmanthus and orchid become more noticeable. Contrary to other reviewers,I don’t really get much raspberry at all. The combination of praline, caramel and amber give a sweet gourmand base, but the drydown is still tinged with the sharp citrus fruits and intenseness of the floral notes. Totally unique, and totally me- I love it ! I would wear this any season, any time but some may find it too heavy for daytime use.

  12. :

Opens with fruity raspberry and blood orange, already cushioned by pralines. As it develops the floral notes come out, especially the orchid, keeping this rich smelling right into the dry down. Fairly linear, except a bit more smooth towards the base. A very nice, pretty scent. It has a bit of a lipstick quality to it in the opening though, but once that fades it’s a nice gourmandish scent that’s still quite sophisticated, along the lines of Carolina Herrera CH.

  13. :

I smell very heavy flowers and vanilla base. Cannot smell any raspberries or citrus (maybe some tanginess). Smells more expensive than it is and not really a scent to wear with jeans and t-shirt.

In my opinion the best frag in Chopard’s range. Silky, sweet, sophisticated – that what’s in my mind thinking of this perfume. Sweet but that sweetness is almost magical, non-invasion, you want it more & more… Also, HSMN has discret, sophisticated notes of richness – you can feel like million dollar princess 🙂 I don’t know what ingredient makes this impression but you feel very very pamper in Magical Nights… I also feel anise and a lot of COCO! but I don’t see it in list so maybe that’s just my nose.

This eau de parfum is really nice and delicious. It has power and charm,it has something unique that I had never smelled , I guess thats why I like it. Get lot of compliments (also from my husband, which is rare to hear a compliment about perfume) also says this is very unusual.
Staying power and sillage – this part suprised me -very good.

What a disappointment 🙁 I was expecting the warm yummy gourmand everyone seems to get from this but all I got was Grandma’s mouthwash yuk!

0-1 hour = smells just like Deep Red
    1-6 hour = it’s Amber Elixir…from Oriflame.
    Anyway,worth all money.

It’s LE, unfortunately. But I’m here to say how a blind buy can become a wonderful surprise… I bought this perfume based on reviews and MY GOODNESS! It’s everything you said. My new addiction, definetely! 10/10

where magical nights wish is quite the same like the original, magical nights happy spirits is very different from it’s parent! Sweet smooth vanilla with fruits, and from the second I sniffed it my brains said; this reminds me of something else. Looking at the notes, maybe amor amor elixir (bloodorange-vanilla)? But it smells a bit more plummy for some reason… Anyway, the fragrane is hard to dislike, but it also has a bit of this masculine quality I can’t get my finger on. Sure it’s quite sweet and vanilla-ish, but I really think a man could pull it of too if he’d want to. Overall a nice cozy fragrance, I can imagine it smells better in wintertime, but I guess you could wear it on a colder summernight too..

Just bought this as a blind buy, based on the reviews here, the cheap price in the UK and the fantastic bottle and I am not disappointed.
Lovely gourmand type fragrance, left a definite aroma of raspberry hazelnut meringue around the computer last night. There is a hint of dental mouthwash (!) as somebody remarked, can’t imagine what is producing that, but I smell that around the spray nozzle and it doesn’t really appear on me, I think.
It’s a snuggly sort of fragrance, doesn’t scream PERFUME everywhere, but it’s long lasting.

(try this on today thanks to adrienn99
she sendt me something to try.)
This is a very interesting fragrance to me . not like anything else i have tryed . a little deeper than i imagined and what i usualy were 🙂
At first i get all the citrus , almost a little bit to much alto i love citrus smells, it probably is the blood orange im not familiar whit in perfumes.
Then there comes i time whit flowers ,orkid and osmanthus , a little bit to strong i wonder.. , but then after a little wild the Pralin , and caramel notes steps forward . realy nice whit a hint of the flowers in the back . I feel like this is a smell of summer nights . after a long day in the sun , putting one some aftersun and som nice perfumes.
i can sweer i can smell some coconut in here aswell in the ending:) a very nice fragrance.
wasent to shure at first , but this i think i will take whit me in the back of my head as a possible buy.
Thanks again for the opportunity to try:)

Oriental-vanilla? Yes maybe, but also can be gourmand too because of sweetness IMO.
So I think it’s ideal for the gourmand lovers who want to open their heart to the oriental group. It is an ageless scent, it contains womanity young and matured way at the same time.
Very sophisticated, great sillage, I love its sweetness. It brings me pleasant memories which I can’t describe, I feel comfortness when I wear it. Maybe it reminds me of my perfume from the past which I can’t remember or I’ve just sniffed this perfume on another woman in the past already..I don’t know.
    But I love this gem!
    Wonderful designed bottle.

Chopard’s Happy Spirit Magical Nights is a sophisticated sweet treat. Lovely fruits-orange and lots of raspberry combined with fragrant magnolias and orchids beautifully blended, so luscious and delectable but not icky sweet. Dries down into the warmth of vanilla, amber and caramel, smells like sweet rich woods-IMO and it’s beautiful.
Sillage and longevity are outstanding with this! All you need is a spray or two and you’re good to go for hours.
Would I buy a bottle? Yes, I could see myself purchasing that adorable heart shaped bottle with the fantastic juice inside.
Special thanks to kikki96 for including this in our swap!

Hmm, at the moment I’m not too sure about this perfume. I managed to get hold of a bottle pretty cheaply and it was a blind buy because I’d read so many good reviews about it and I love raspberry!
There’s no doubting that there’s a profusion of raspberry in this perfume! Although I normally love raspberry in a scent, in this I think it’s a little too overwhelming at first and it made me feel as if I’d been covered in raspberry jam! Also, there’s an unusual underlying note which I can’t put my finger on. It smells a bit like a cross between mint and something medicinal, like mouthwash maybe … I totally wasn’t expecting that and I have no idea what it is! The perfume settles down quite nicely after awhile though and starts to smell better. Having said that, I’ve had it on for about 8 hours so far and it’s worn off so much I can barely smell it, even when I sniff my wrist. To me, that’s not very good staying power! I have several scents that easily last for 24 hours or more and I can still smell them clearly after all that time without having to sniff my wrist!
I much prefer the raspberry element in Balmain’s Ivoire, which is much more subtle and sexy than in Happy Spirit Magical Nights. In Ivoire it’s soft, creamy and gorgeous, whereas in this it’s jammy, sugary and a bit cloying at first. I also prefer the raspberry note in Ungaro’s Apparition. Both Ivoire and Apparition also last much longer on my skin.
So, at the moment I’m really not loving this perfume as much as I had hoped I would. I’m kind of indifferent to it right now. Hopefully, it’ll grow on me. If not, I’ll do a swap with one of the girls on here! The bottle’s VERY nice though. 🙂

Got this one because i wanted to try something different. i love vanilla, but for me it is difficult to get it right because of the personal skin chemistry. I loved as Ofeliarage wrote about Hypnotic poison or Amour. It was just my case 🙂 I like poison but not on my skin. I think that with Happy Spirits MN it cannot go wrong for anyone:)

  31. :

    4 out of 5

What a lasting power and sillage!!!
After 8 hours it is still strongly noticeable!!!
    What a quality!!!
No doubt, Happy Spirit MN is already one of my favourites, it contains wonderful notes, it is so mouthwatering! Tangy yuzu and juicy orange, my favourite osmanthus and honeysuckle on a creamy caramel base…
Thanks to my Sister from Fragrantica, I now have a chance to try this little gem. I truly fell in love with it and consider it one of the best fragrances I have ever worn amongst oriental vanilla.
I would recommend it for fall & winter wear only and should you be tempted to wear it in summer or spring – apply sparingly and use for evening wear.
I am wearing it to office today and already got a bunch of compliments 🙂
Its projection is truly outstanding, a great example of a multi dimentional fragrance.
A must have for oriental vanilla lovers!!!

At first when I smelled this I tought of Elizabeth Ardens Provocative Interlude (which I like). Both are very berry-ish, but as PI goes on with white chocolate, HSMN takes a more powderish way. I`m so happy this doesn`t last long, and HSMN becomes more delicious with the warm and yummy base notes.
    I REALLY like it!

  33. :

Absolutely gorgeous perfume so soft and warm, perfect for a winter evening. I love orchid and the caramel drydown is perfect. I bought this blind as it received such good reviews, I am so glad I did it’s so perfect. The bottle looks fantastic on my dresser too – stunning.

At first spray it reminds me of another perfume, but after a few minutes it starts to have its on fragrance, wich like all the other who has, i like it=)
I had forgot that i was wearing it, and i smelled a beautiful scen, wonder where it came from, then i rembemberd wearing this one=)
A good thing about this perfume is that is not loud and it doesnt smell like its a perfume like many other perfume does, you know that cloud of perfume ppl can have sometimes or when they pass you, you can feel that they are wearing perfume, but not this one=) it just smells good, like it is oneself and not the perfume. I think i have found my signature scent for the very first time =)
And as many others have written, the bottle is beautiful and would be perfect for a bookstop or as a piece of art=)

  35. :

    5 out of 5

Very feminine and sophisticated fragrance. Sweet and delicious, but not in the loud way.
It develops to a very creamy and sweet, after a while a bit powderly scent on my skin. Strong perfume, a little goes a long way. The sillage and the lasting power is very good. I sprayed it at around 4pm, and in the morning I could still smell it. The bottle is overwhelmingly beautiful. You can’t stop gazing at it in admiration. I think I’ve found my perfect winter scent.

  36. :

    4 out of 5

I like this one. For girly girls. It starts off rather fruity and then develops into sweet-fruity-floral. I dont get any of the caramel or praline but never mind, still a wonderful scent.
I would recommend it for colder weather, it is a real cheer-up fragrance to me.
Finally I have to mention the bottle – stunning, gorgeous little gem – no way it would stay unnoticed in any perfume collection.
Also I think it is definitaly a safe choice if you consider it as a gift – girly, fruity, sweet, nice.
Ps. I just ordered my second bottle , I`m loving it even more !!!

  37. :

    3 out of 5

    This is definately a keeper!!!
    It’s strong,fruity,rich & vanilla oriental.
So what more could be wanted.
To me it resembles Dior Hypnotic Poison & Kenzo Amour, however it is more fruity than both of the above.
Also i would reccommend this to those of you who have wanted to like Hypnotic poison or Amour, but can’t or don’t.
    So give it a try!

  38. :

I ordered it in the UK just to try because in Belgium or Germany it is not available… I instantly fell in love with it… One of the best sents on me I ever smelled… Sweet but also mysterious… GREAT!!!! LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT…

  39. :

    4 out of 5

It is still very similar to original Happy Spirit but less fruity and more sweet. I used to like Happy Spirit too but when I found this I definitely fell in love!!!!
This is a very high quality scent with extreme staying power.
It starts with orange but it doesn’t give a very fruity impression, it is more like a nice orange jam then it fades away very fast and flowers come. They are very well blended with caramel and rasberry. Rasberry is quite dominant but it is really very well mixed with flowers and caramel/praline combo.
It stays on skin very long and scent has thick base with amber. A beautiful night time scent, I am in love…

  40. :

    3 out of 5

Orchid and Osmanthus in one perfume is quite a statement. For me it makes it smell soapy right from the start. But let’s start with the first spritz, shall we?
Blood oranges, yuzu … (hello raspberry?) mmmh freshness! But right away Orchid & Osmanthus are making an entrance. Now it gets from fresh to flowery, bitter-soapy. The raspberry however has not a leading role, if she is here – well maybe hidden in the fruit coctail of the opening?
The sweetness of the caramel-praline kicks in and man does it kick! It’s the ‘viva la juicy’ kind of sweetness, sharp and clear as supposed to warm. Always surrounded by the O&O combo that is still leading the crowd. When O&O both finally fade away in the drydown the sweetness merges with amber and it all turns into a quite pleasant scent. But once more not the one for me.
Gives me headaches by the way.

  41. :

    5 out of 5

Sweet it is! But luckily not overly edibly sweet. Not to me, anyway. I am getting more of the natural sweetness of the blood oranges and maybe the amber and then – yes there is that praline and caramel in there – but somehow presented in quite a light and jovial way. It seems more like a bowl of fruity/lightly alcoholic punch sitting next to a bouquet of flowers (rather than a whole candy shop). eh…hm…ok…maybe there is a box of chocolates sitting somewhere on the table too. 😉
I agree that there is some brightness or even happines in this fragrance and some sense of “celebration”. Would be great for a party! (Not a beach party though,I would see this more as a winter, night fragrance) 🙂 If you want to feel like a pretty girl on that party, that is! It’s more of a “fun, dance and laughter” (rather than mysterious or seductive) type of scent in my opinion.
Pleasant and easy, although quite strong, it’s enjoyable throuhout the hours it lasts!

Happy Spirit and Happy Spirit Magical Night are different. Magical night it’s more deep, intense, sweet. I think it’s really good for going out. I always get compliments from men when I wear it. And the little bottle of 30ml I have is great to have in my handbag. Though it’s not necessary much since this fragrance really lasts.
