Description
Armand Basi is launching a new fragrance dedicated to young girls who enjoy life. The cheerful, dynamic and full of enthusiasm Happy in Red has finally bloomed! The first fragrance In Red contains a branch with buds on the flacon, the next fragrance Sensual Red is characterized by slightly opened blossoms, while Happy in Red offers joy in full bloom. Beauty of nature and its dynamics are perfectly presented with red and orange color reflecting enthusiasm and optimism.
The creators’ wish was to offer pure essences of happiness – true, unrestrained and complete happiness. The modern chypre-floral-woody composition has created an ode to friendship and happiness, to positive energy and explosion of bright colors. Top notes highlight fruity notes spiced gently with tart and dynamic spices. Lemon, mandarin and pink pepper announce a cheerful and optimistic composition. The heart provides a floral blend of hyacinth, sweet jasmine and iris, while the base features a trail of vetiver, white musk and patchouli.
ARMAND BASI Happy in Red is available as 30, 50 and 100ml eau de toilette. It was launched in 2012 and premiered at TFWA 2012 in Cannes.
The nose behind this fragrance is Sylvie Fischer.

Agree with the Coco Mademoiselle comparison but a lot lighter and no staying power…

I got Happy In Red as a disappointing gift. It was everything I disliked in perfumes at the moment: flowery, syropy, with sweet citrussy opening. Almost a year it was sitting in a drawer until yesterday. Now I am in love! It does smell similar to Coco Mademoiselle but I find Happy In Red a lot softer. Somehow it doesn’t strike me as a flowery scent anymore, after citrussy opening settles down, woods and patchouli take over and make the whole thing so nice and comfortable, yet sophisticated like wearing a well tailored silk blouse.
