Description

At the beginning of 2012 Hanae Mori is launching a new fragrance from
the Eau de Collection under number No6. The new fragrance is avalable
in the same flacon form and its fluid is colored in light green.
Interior of its transparent stopper hides light green shades and tiny
green butterflies.

Romance of this fragrance is accentuated with the composition the
opening notes of which offer joyful and optimistic citrusy zest
(mandarin and bergamot) enriched with intense fruity aromas of
blackberry. A heart develops floral notes composed of peony, jasmine
and orange blossom accentuating femininity and beauty of this white
floral bouquet. Base notes are dominated by musk, in charge of more
sensual experience, while sandalwood enriches and skillfully warms the
composition with a gentle creamy subtone. Available as 100ml edp.

    Shouldn’t this be no 5?

A mountain of candied jasmine piled onto the original Hanae Mori. Think the loud sweet grape lollipop jasmine in Alien and Couture Couture. The opening is all about the super sweet candied white florals with a bit of bergamot. After about two hours that burns off and the original Hanae Mori is underneath. I prefer the original. it’s everything enough.

Smells like bubblegum and skittles to me. No perfume has ever smelt like this to my nose. Not something I will want in my collection.

This is a very very sweet scent! Creamy in certain aspects and simultaneously having an ultra-fine powdered vanilla feel, like confectioner’s sugar, it is a comfort scent for sure.
Starts off like a candied bergamot rind sweet and then heads more towards a creamy rich white floral drydown, not unlike D&G The One.
Be warned though: it is on par with the original HM or La Vie est Belle in sweetness levels.
ETA: I really liked it at first but after realizing it reminds me of a more sicky-sweet version of the creamy white floral goodness that is Elie Saab L’eau Couture I decided I really love the other and this one is only a ‘like’, & only when I’m really in the mood for it.

I was delighted a few years back when Hanae Mori introduced the numbered series back at Nordstroms. The sales associate pointed out #2 and #3 to be to my liking, but I kept going back to #6! Back at this time I wasn’t willing to shell out $90 for a fragrance, so I settled for sample upon sample.:) This smells very clean and green to me. It must have some spice or earth to it for me to like it so much. It is unique and a scent that makes me springy. I feel like being outdoors and utterly playful.

This is one of the few Hanae Mori fragrances I could see myself possibly wearing. It’s gourmand, but very green at the same time. Interesting.
I imagine it’s the heliotrope. I really do love heliotrope. Aside from that, I detect a strong bergamot note and some leafy greeness over a melange of non-indolic white florals.
It’s fresh, sweet and youthful. I think I’d have a hard time finding an appropriate occasion for it, but I am more of an Oriental/Woody person.

This is a blind buy I might regret, I won’t go as far as saying it smells like toilet bowl cleaner, but there is an aseptic edge to this scent…it isn’t what I like wearing, I can’t say it doesn’t smell nice, but the overall scent isn’t for me..hope to swap it, it wasn’t cheap…
I really didn’t get many of the notes listed. Mostly a green scent, with a different undertone..

    The full notes are:
Toop notes: Moroccan jasmine, neroli, and bergamot
Middle notes: Egyptian jasmine, Tunisia orange blossom, green roses, American peony, and heliotrope
Base notes: Tahitian vanilla, toffee, a touch of sandalwood, and benzoin
This is definitely a throwback to the original Hanae Mori Butterfly with the toffee and vanilla sweetness happening in No.6. At first spray I get a blast of jasmine, neroli, orange blossom mixed in with that bubblegum sweetness that I think this house is really known for.
As it sits there on my skin the flowers peak through beautifully, bringing more jasmine, orange blossom, peony, and just a touch of heliorope and benzoin. The bergamont peaks through the flower petals in a very subtle way, just enough to give it a slightly green, citrus edge but never dominating or asserting it’s presence. The toffee and vanilla really make this a very sweet fragrance, but the addition of the florals (the strongest of which are the jasmine, orange blossom, and peony) make it beautifully sweet. And that benzoin and bergamont are just enough to add a touch of greeness to the florals.
It has a big LIKE from me, but just like the original Hanae Mori Butterfly I can see the sweetness being too much for some.

I hate to be so cruel, but this fragrance most reminded me of those little blue cartridges designed to freshen up toilet bowls. Needless to say, I was not impressed. I’m so disappointed, because jasmine, sandalwood, and blackberry are some of my favourite notes, and I couldn’t smell them anywhere!

I was not impressed with this perfume at all. It’s rare that I blame things on chemistry, but this perfume smelled so surprisingly awful that I figure it must be me. I don’t smell fruit or berries at all. On me it’s vanilla, a hint of flowers, and a terrible synthetic note that I can’t quite describe, but it ruins the whole thing.

No. 6 really impressed me! The top notes are really juicy, with the mandarin being most prominent on my skin. The blackberry didn’t seem to be too “intensive”, but provided a sweet, supportive note. The bergamot wasn’t clearly detectable to my nose, but I felt the “zest” of it. There is also something slightly herbal about the top notes. I can’t put my finger on it!
The heart phase is definitely more floral, and the musk creeps in early. I love orange flower in general, but it seems to take a back seat here. I smelled mostly jasmine and peony, with a clean musk note.
The dry down of this fragrance is amazing!! The sandalwood is sweet, woody, and warm, and the musk and sandalwood blend so harmoniously…it’s a very intimate fragrance in the end! This one is definitely on my wish list!!!

No. 6 might be my least favorite from the collection so far. I don’t remember it at all. I took one whiff of it and said no thank you and moved on. I’ll try it again but No. 1 is still my absolute favorite. : )

Oh they totally skipped No. 5 bcuz there’s already a No. 5! Duh! Haha! : )

Oh wow this sounds GREAT! Wait, where’s No. 5?! Ha! It looks great too! Green is my absolute favorite color! I can’t wait! : )

oh beautiful color! i love hanae mori scents and the bottles, but they are rather soft with decent sillage, what is a bit annoying sometimes – they have so nice and tempting compositions if they just would be a bit stronger. can t wait to test this anyway to see how it develops on me!
