so 4.65 is high. i love Bulgari everything. the le gemme line is their higher end fragrances along with the eau perfumery. this one is just heavy Jasmine. it goes on nice and is relaxing, very fresh. not very masculine. i find it can wear a bit on you. as in it gets kinda old. but in terms of quality it is excellent and the magnetic bottle is pretty flashy. if you like jasmine, incense… give it a try.

When worn, Gyan is a sexy cloud of resinous smoky patchouli with a sweet jasmine sambac radiating from the center. The patchouli is not that “hippie smelling” patchouli; this is a rich and refined patchouli.
Gyan is a smooth non-cloying fragrance (unless you really over do it) that can be worn anywhere – Black tie events, office, out with friends, or on a date with that special someone. Gyan gets a lot of unsolicited compliments and smells fantastic.
Gyan projects around 2 meters (6ft) and leaves a nice smoky sweet jasmine trail of fragrance in your wake.
As far as I am concerned, this is a year-round fragrance. Hot or cold weather, you will always smell great.
Gender-wise Gyan would smell great on men and women 25+. Younger people that prefer fresh scents will probably not appreciate this as much.
Gyan as well as the rest of the Le Gemme collection can only be purchased at a Bvlgari boutique online or in one of their brick and mortar locations.

This gorgeous new luxury offering from Bvlgari skilfully combines three oriental elements, jasmine; patchouli and incense to create a true original that evokes the smoky sweet smell and feel of flower garland and incense laden Indian temples. Gyan, translates as knowledge in Sanskrit, is not a loud floral fragrance. It is a classy, understated floral incense with very high quality elements that retains a masculine feel (although perfectly unisex IMO). The ambience is spiritual, reflective and reverent, perfectly capturing the namesake of this very original beauty. Pricey, yes, but worth it for lovers of unusual orientals. The bottle is another beauty with a dazzling sapphire bottle top. Outstanding!

a resiny smokey patchouli ambery almost like an oudy mukhalat an oriental a balmy resiny deep mesmerizing accord..it smells like incense like bakhour maybe with hints of labdenum leather slightly sweet in a subtle way with myrrh and resins its not too creamy or too velvety its more watery light in a more wearable version its easily a unisex i know its targeted for men but its truly a unisex it smells a lot like many many of the higher end Arabian perfumes and also the oud inspired perfumes from the western perfumeries ..a jasmine woody balmy base a resiny smokey accord those are all first impressions ..i can easily see this working for layering i personally wish it was a tad more velvety in feel and smell i feel its a bit too watery but i guess its because its meant to be for men so they want to keep it lighter in texture but i honestly feel it suites women a lot more or some men from the middle east who are used to wearing such woody balmy accords with hints of floral accords ..it doesn’t scream masculinity in the normal sense of the word but again the same perfume on mens skin and women’s skin will smell and perform totally different even among the same gender it will vary greatly from one person to the other !
the dry down is becoming more incensy bakhour like resiny sweet with lots of patchouli earth and dirty straight up patchouli but its more refined than the hippie patchouli with the addition of jasmine sambac and resins …and synthetics ..!its not the most synthetic smelling blend i ve smelled from those types of accords and its not the least either but it has a perfect balance its trying to smell more natural than synthetic and it does to an extent ..
its a well balanced accord a well blended composition it radiates and infuses with your skin and develops beautifully giving linear yet developmental progressive enhancement of the entire composition in harmony ..super smooth in a rigid way super strong in a mellow way super pungent in a restraint way..its a beautiful perfume ..those who love patchouli incesy accords would definitely love this i think its even more beautiful than many from the tom fords i feel this has more development and doesn’t stick to your palette its light in a sense yet heavy in the whole..its an old way of making perfumes in the east using juxtaposing accords from the opposite sides of the perfume spectrum to bring out the best from each and make them more interesting and vibrant but bvlgari did it in such a perfect fragile balance a smooth criminal !
the bottle is amazing i love the packaging and the bottle so much its like a gem the picture doesnt do it justice the top with the blue sapphire is beautiful and the elegant sleek black exterior of the bottle is very elegant and rich with the golden base also the outside box is like a gift box which makes it a perfect gift !

Patchouli based fragrance. Perhaps overlooked because of the high price. Patchouli beautifully blended with jasmine. Tom Ford did the same when he blended leather and jasmine in his masculine masterpiece Tuscan Leather. It works perfectly for him, and it works for Bvlgari. The unexpected juxtaposition of patchouli and jasmine makes this scent very sophisticated and original.
