Description

Gucci Premiere Eau de Parfum was launched in 2012. Its Eau de Toilette version comes out in summer of 2014 as a lighter and more delicate reinterpretation. The original fragrance is supposed to be used on special occasions such as red carpet events, while the new fragrance is more suitable for everyday events.

The composition opens with accords of bergamot and orange blossom that evoke the smell of vintage champagne. The heart offers an intensive bouquet of freesia, Bulgarian rose and jasmine embroidered with musk. Smoky leather, creamy woods and patchouli form the base of the perfume.

Actress Blake Lively represents the brand one more time. The fragrance is available as 30, 50 and 75 ml Eau de Toilette.

Likeable. Pretty. Teen-friendly. I purchased this for the first time when I was 16 or 17 and have gone from wearing it daily to wearing it sporadically at 21. It is a citrusy, slightly sparkly musk with a delicate, skinlike white floral quality. There’s something so enjoyable about spraying it on right before bed and waking up to the faint smell of it on your pillow and in your hair. However, this is NOT a practical daytime perfume. As other reviewers have expressed, the lasting power is positively nil and the sillage is faint. It’s a great skin/hair/sheets scent, but has too little presence and lasting power for even a fresh-and-barely-perfumed type of gal. If you’re interested in the scent and would like to actually WEAR this lovely perfume for real, please try the parfum version. Otherwise, you will be getting only a pillow spray’s impression of the real deal.

Gucci is one of my mainstream “guilty” pleasures.. 😉 I know a lot of fragheads look down their noses at Gucci as unoriginal and such, but I quite like many of their offerings, and sometimes you need something ‘safe’ and not hugely impressive, you know..?
Anyway, I tested Gucci Premiere EDT and EDP, and while I like both, my skin plays nicer with and my nose slightly more prefers the EDT, so into the basket this was!! While this is a great everyday, year round, day to night fragrance, I am actually looking forward to wearing this for the upcoming Fall season..sometimes I quickly tire of all the warmth and amber type fragrances, and being a white floral lover, this one will do nicely, but yet it does not scream ‘I am a white floral!!” The musk, the patchouli, and the woody and the suede notes lend this a Fall/Autumn vibe for me. I don’t pick up the champagne note at all, though. There is a very soft sweetness, but I would not call this a sweet perfume. Quite nice, if perhaps thought of as ‘unimaginative’ to more sophisticated noses. Anyhoo, sadly where I live, the more creative and unique perfumes are not really appreciated, so, the ‘safer’ ones just seem to work well where I live.
The only ‘problem’ I have with this fragrance is it’s not good on longevity, this poofs for me within an hour. Or perhaps I just become nose-blind to this. All in all, a nice fragrance..Would make a nice gift and seems office-safe..

Smells like heaven, light sweet floral scent great for day or night, elegant. Beautiful bottle.

Gucci is not my usual brand but I cannot deny my love for Premiere EDT. It is like a super modernized version of film noir, a fresh take to aldehydes and glamour.
Champagne is rather prominent but the composition does not feel boozy at all — it just adds some gold sparkle and crispiness.
It feels young, yet professional and elegant, very feminine yet balanced and never too sweet.
Fresh white floral with a woody base – nothing groundbreaking but a successful contemporary attempt to a classic formula.

I am very happy I found this perfume because it is complex which I like, it is not sweet and it reminds me of Dior Poison Tendre. Somehow I have totally overlooked this perfume, probably because I think Gucci is too mainstream and don´t test their perfumes very often.
It belongs to the group of “mysterious green” scents as I call it where I place Poison Tendre and Boucheron Jaipur Bracelet too.
The edp is more mainstream, the edt stands out more, it is more unusual. As the perfume develops you can notice the same “bouquet note” as in Gucci Flora and Gucci Bloom. I find it quite heavy so I apply with a light hand. Can´t complain about the longevity, it fades away after 6 hours but that is ok.
    The ad looks totally uninteresting.
Edit: I have worn it for a few days and I understand the comments on longevity. I think the nose gets used to it very quickly. Also, I wish the ‘blend’ immediately after spraying would stay longer.
Nonetheless I will repurchase as it is a very pleasant scent. I checked the notes for Dior Poison Tendre and they are very similar.

Lovely fragrance! Sadly, it lasts only about 10 minutes and disappears; however, while it lasts, e.g. right after spraying like 7~8 times, it is gorgeous!
Feels a bit like champagne, sparking.
At first it smelled like weaker, lighter version of Guerlain’s Insolence EDT. Then, the bitter top note dissipates soon enough and delicately sweet musk scent surfaces, which is my favorite phase of this perfume.
From this point on, the scent stays very close to my skin and I would have to press my nose against where the perfume was sprayed to smell it.
I even tried to prolong the longevity by spraying on my scarf, clothes, my hair, back of my neck, behind my ears, just name it… without much success. I can feel this perfume for 30 minutes max.
So, despite the fact that I really love the scent, I am very saddened by the poor longevity of this perfume.

Premiere edt is an easy to wear rather elegant scent..perfect for work, or school, or any occasion really as it doesn’t project much…I detect the Jasmine and the musk, I had reviewed it before and wasnt overly impressed with it…upon revisiting it, as my husband bought me a bottle, I can say this isnt hard to enjoy, it is pleasant enough, but not outstanding…it warms up in the dry down, I honestly can hardly detect the leather…this perfume lacks something, it isn’t exciting, but it is demure, and there are women who will enjoy it..it is nice…

I’m going around this scent since it came out and today I got my bottle. I It’s hard to describe this scent, because it gives you quite opposite experiences from the very beginning. It’s sharp and clean, yet it’s warm and elegant too. It smells like flowers soaked in champagne bubbles and hugged by musk, served on a wooden platter. It is slightly different from the EDP version as it’s less bitter to my taste and also lacks the citrus note that is stronger in EDP. It get’s the juicy vibe though and gets a bit like a delicious liquid from time to time. I prefer the EDT version as it’s lighter and can be used from early am to pm, and the composition is more balanced and less bittery sweet than in EDP. It is elegant and comforting. The bottle is beautiful. Love it.

Got this one as birthday gift from my brother. It is fresh, womanly, elegant everyday scent.
    Ok maybe 7/10

This perfume is flowery with a twist. It’s elegant and nice and proper and suddendly in the middle of it appears a dark side. I smelled it and could not stop thinking that this perfume is for someone with a secret.

This is really nice and champagne, musky, powdery. Really works with my chemistry. I get a couple hours of longevity but it does last. Its just not a fragrance blast like angel but it is present.
    EDIT 8-2-16
This is what i thought chanel cristalle would smell like. This is better……….
This is your lounging but still glamorous fragrance with aldehydes done right!
Also this should come in a 3.4oz size lol. Maybe even bigger?

This one has zero longevity. Does not smell at all. Total waste of money. I cannot even tell how it smells like.

  14. :

I actually like this scent although what really irks me is how this perfume has zero lasting power. It is gone the moment you stop spraying (I am not even kidding). That’s too bad though because the perfume itself is actually both light and complex. I love how I can smell almost all of the notes listed above. It’s quite sophisticated and just plain lovely. It’s something that both young and old women could easily pull off (not teenagers though). I hope they make a better version since the parfum version doesn’t exactly smell like the EDT. Elegant smell all in all.

Another nonsense fragrance and waste of money.
Got it for summer and didn’t really smell florals. It smells like soap with 0 lasting power.

I love this fragrance! It isn’t too overpowering, light, floral and has the smell of bergamot (tea) that I love!!
I can wear this to the office without giving my colleagues headaches. It’s not earth shattering and so complex as to be a trend setter but is pleasantly feminine and elegant, in my opinion.
There is a freshness to Premiere that I really like so I can see myself buying this one over and over again to keep it as a “go to” when I don’t want to give what scent I wear a whole lot of thought.

The bottle perfectly illustrates the scent. Light fragrance. Beautiful. Charming. A little glamorous but fresh and urban. I love it. Great perfume for a simpler, lighter approach as it does not overpower in any way. When I first tried it the weather was cool and not humid so it was more powerful and the scent wafted further from my skin. I received it on a very hot humid day which cut down the scent much closer to my skin so I simply sprayed more which yielded perfectly good results, unlike other perfumes which will turn against you if you’re heavy handed. I would get the best wear out of this on a cooler day with less humidity but the lightness is not a con for me because my nose loves it.

What a beautiful floral fragrance. I prefer the EDT over the EDP because it’s more flowery whereas the EDP is woodier and a bit darker.
Lasting power is quite good (even tough too weak for my taste), it’s a subtle, understated scent.
    Feminine, bright and elegant.

You know that slush at the bottom of your glass when the ice has melted in your rum and Coke? Well imagine the Rum and coke were Jasmine and Neroli. This is what it would smell like. Watered down and impotent. It’s not a bad scent by any means, the notes are lovely, it’s just incredibly weak and lacks any sort of personality. You can get better from The Body Shop for a fraction of the price. This is like a Tesco body spray.
Gucci need to bring back Eau De Parfum (2002) and Envy. Either that or put a bit more effort in. Sorry.

Worse copy of pure poison. I’m dissapointed in gucci, nothing unique anymore, like gucci II, gucci rush… But I still like their men perfume.

Sparkly white flowers. Orange blossom mostly on opening and then a jasmine-y rose mixed with a strong wood. I don’t find this to be weak or light, it is refreshing but quite a powerful woody floral. I do like how the jasmine is kept in check with the bergamot and the wood.

Nice fragrance, I can smell mostly jasmine, rose, orange blossom and subtle woods. Sparkling note is also there. I like it, but it is not in my style.

I liked the EDP, it was nice. Now, this one is just jasmine mixed with woody notes. I think it’s soapy and not very pleasing.
    Not sweet at all.
I agree with genny17, I also find this fragrance dry.
    Not very enjoyable.

    dozza14 you’re absolutely right lol 😀
Next perfume they gonna use notes like “air” “breeze” or “nothing” and the price tag will be HUGE!

Oh my,I didnt think much of it, I kind of liked the first one, but this is a bit dry, almost like a man ‘s scent in a way!?
the leather and woods dominate, I dont get much of a floral vibe..I dont know, it is a bit of a cold scent, the EDP was better although light..the EDT isnt very feminine…the champagne note clashes a bit in my opinion..
Not impressed..confusing stuff! it is almost similar to the men’s cologne Made to Measure!!

Whaaat. EdT version of something that doesn’t really smell like anything really? But I see that this one has leather in it… Interesting. What if this EdT would be heavier than EdP version? Haha.

The last thing Gucci need to do is lighter versions! Will probably smell of air?
