Lilac is such a beautiful note in fragrances, and it seems there are not many perfumes that include lilac as a note. So comforting and relaxing and soothing. I love Gucci Guilty, and was not sure about GG Diamond…..The notes are pretty much all the same, minus the fruity notes of the original Guilty. Despite this, they smell pretty much the same to me, but the lilac is a touch more prominent in GG Diamond. Lucky for me, as I said, I love lilac. I wanted to get a bottle of this in case Coty, who bought Gucci about a year and a half ago at the time of me writing this review, decides to reformulate this. This is perfect for anytime, day or night, it says in the voting that this is more of a Fall time fragrance, and I agree, but I do think this is also great year-round. Very versatile. But to that end of this being a Fall fragrance, the amber here is not overpowering; there is not the heavy warm note to this like many ‘Fall fragrances,’ and I appreciate that. Sometimes for me, overly warm fragrances can be headache-inducing. The warmth I detect here is pretty minimal. Just a relaxing, cozy and comforting. I always thought Guilty was too ‘common,’ but no…the lilac is so soothing. Love…

the best Version of Guilty,so is the male version, no doubt! without the odd fruits (peach, red berries)and noit overpowering patchouli, just smooth sweet calming amber and lilac. love at first sniff!

I do believe the notes on this are slightly different from the original, but it leaves the same overall impression. It gives off the “perfumed” vibe without much nuance or distinctiveness. The pink pepper and patchouli are distinguishable for me, but not much else.
I find Gucci Guilty Black more tolerable, though despite its name its actually the most innocent of the line and least suited to a night out.

When there is something associated with Gucci Guilty, then it’s certain that I love it!
I see that the bottle is new, but in perfume I don’t sense any difference at all.
Okay, let it be, it’s still just as great as the original Guilty.
I find it tender, sensual and outstanding. A beautiful masterpiece, I don’t know why they need so many new bottles.

Is this named to honor the feelings of all those Conflict Diamonds? Do they feel guilty about what they did to Sierra Leone, or are they pretending to feel guilty because they got caught?

The usual sales trick just before an upcoming Holiday. Nothing new, except for the bottle. 🙂
