On me the caramel is in majority, but next to that I can feel something sharp and fresh and a bit sour maybe? Reminds me of those gummy candies that are covered with sour sugar but inside all sweet and chewy

My daughter says it smells really good. It is indeed very nice. Xerjoff does it’s gourmands perfectly – you get a buttery scent, shaped like a lovely amber gem with no edges.
Yet this is not a unique scent nor a masterpiece, so IMHO – way too pricey for a nice, unmemorable perfume.
Also, sorry but the bottle is hideous.

This is my 3rd Casamorati perfume and I really enjoyed the two I have already. I was waiting for this impatiently to arrive. Now that 8it’s here..
I have got mixed feelings about this one. I was really looking forward to buying this after looking at the notes and reading all the nice reviews. However…
First spray blows your brains out with the blast of caramel and flowers. Very overwhelmingly sweet. At this points reminds me of a love child of Viva La Juicy and Britney Spears Fantasy. This does not last long, though. The dry down calms down to a floral, but with some kind of cologne like scent, almost a masculine touch. I believe that’s the amber taking the lead over florals…
Maybe it is just my chemistry that reacts like this, but after an hour I smell like a mixture of cheap perfume mixed with an aftershave.
Longevity and silage are amazing, as I can’t seem to be able to wash this off… Headache in the bottle… very disappointing.

I’ve been waiting to buy this beauty for more than a year, it is absolutely gorgeous, but really really expensive. Gran Ballo is a floral-gourmand perfume, having a beautiful gardenia in the foreground and waves of sweet accents-caramel and vanilla in the background. I also have to agree with the ones that have said it is similar to Viva la Juicy, but more grown up and sophisticated. If Viva la Juicy is a bohemian teenager, Gran Ballo is a sexy lady who is brave enough to wear pastel pink shirts (or skirts). I am totally impressed with this niche perfume, it is feminine, delicate, but, in the same time, it is powerful and makes a statement. Awesome!

Xerjoff gran ballo is my forth xerjoff and while I can’t name it my most favorite one,I can say I like and enjoy it a lot.I also find it easier to wear compared to my beloved lira or bouquet ideal
I think most other xerjoffs marketed for females,are actually unisex and are easily wearable by men too.unlike them,gran ballo is feminine head to toe.I see it’s compared with viva la juicy.well I both agree and disagree.they share similar skeleton of white florals-gourmand notes but they’re different in details so in whole they don’t smell similar
A bouquet of flowers,to be more specific: modern white florals is the main actress here.honey suckle is detectable and it’s pretty and true to life,unlike viva la juicy and similar gourmands there’s not a trace of fruity notes, this is what makes it less teenage like and more ladylike
Honey suckle, gardenia and Jasmine are rounded by a delicious,buttery base of caramel,vanilla and amber like a soft touch of powder on a sweet creamy base
There’s something in gran ballo which saves it from being a generic caramelized white floral.I can smell something like champacka in it.or let’s say,something like roasted coconut powder.I can find a similar thing in Taylor swift enchanted. So for me Gran ballo seems to be a love child of viva la juicy and wonder struck enchanted but also with good balance,high quality ingredients and without berries
As I find this blend very yummy I highly recommend it to all gourmand lovers but you may love it even if you’re not a gourmand lover.even you’re looking for a well rounded,sweet white floral scent with a very modern feeling you have to try it.it’s sweetness isn’t sharp,syrupy or cloying.It stays soft all through it’s life, albeit not soft in sillage as it projects very well,but at the same time it’s not heavy and is wearable almost always in mild weather
Longevity is great(+10 hours) and it’s happy and playful without being too childish
Only thing I don’t like about it is it’s bottle.I love it’s pink color but I believe pink doesn’t go well with green.also it would be much better if it’s bottle was transparent(like mefisto or bouquet ideal)

This is very beautiful. It’s feminine and delicate. I’ve notice some are saying it smells like Viva La Juicy. Not close at all. This is a complex beauty with very distinct notes. Each individual note is very apparent and detectable. The quality of the notes are exquisite. There is nothing synthetic about it. The floral/fruity is atop a beautiful creamy bed of a dry down that is semi sweet with a cloud of a fluffy soft powder. The gourmand aspect is very subtle. This frangrance is refined and blended perfect. Not over the top. It is a perfect parfum for a young lady or the mature cougar. Personally, I would wear this anytime of year. The longevity is superior, and projection and silage exceed expectation. Xox

Absolutely beautiful creamy white florals drizzled with warm velvety caramel and a hint of powdery vanilla so delectable smooth and satisfying! It’s a veryyyy refined Meow by Katy Perry for sure! If I had the dough I’d buy this over Meow but since I already have Meow I’ll save my $ for other niche beauties! Really enjoy this one though!

I am comparing this with viva la juicy. When I first sprayed viva la juicy on paper I was pissed because I just bought Gran Ballo and yes, on paper they are really similar. But only at the top notes.
After a few minutes they head to different directions, viva la juicy is flatter, weaker and not as interesting as gran ballo. For me viva would be something a young girl would wear.
However I have no problems wearing gran ballo as a guy, got an instant compliment from my younger sister was surprised she didnt think it was girly.
Anyhow dont let the top notes of viva fool you, gran baller is much better, more natural smelling, deeper and better composed. One of the best of the casamorati line, not the best, for me the best one is 1888 but you got to like spicy fragrances.
When it comes to gran ballo it is definitely a sweet fragrance but not overly sweet.
Viva la Juicy = Flat, boring and smells cheap
Gran ballo = Deep, rich scent-wise and gorgeus
Finally, it would not surprised me if they got inspired by viva la juicy when creating gran ballo but since its much better I couldnt care less.

After a while day of wearing, I can safely say that this perfume is better after an hour or two resting on my skin. The notes are constantly evolving, projecting the scent from warm to cold.. something I haven’t come across so far. This perfume holds the incredibly vivid scent of loncera or honeysuckle – beautiful, sweet, rich and very intense scent. I have it in garden (climbing shrub) and in summer I really enjoy smelling it! The scent story also holds jasmine, plain true jasmine, not the tuberose sambac kind, and lots of soft vanilla in dry down. Mixed together it gives away the impression of purity, tenderness and childlike joy. The pink bottle with tassels certainly contributes to the overall impression. I want 100ml of that joy..

This. Smells. Like. VIVA LA JUICY. With an unfortunate added note of jasmine. Lots of honeysuckle and vanilla, with a hint of Alien sneaking in. I am going to be testing this further to see if the sillage and lasting power are better, because I LOVE Viva but the sillage and lasting power on it suck.
