I’m a big fan of RuPaul so I may be biased here, but I absolutely love this fragrance. I was worried about the juniper note and also the rose, but neither are really prominent to me. I get a creamy woody amber with pepper – all favourite notes with an oriental feel so this is right up my street. I can’t find this online so no idea how much it costs but it feels expensive. Peppery, creamy and a bit powdery at once. Lasts well too. I do wonder how I would feel differently if it wasn’t made by RuPaul though. Who cares I love this!
Later on in the testing I am feeling the juniper. But in a good way! In an edgy slightly herbal background kinda way as opposed to the usual headache inducing bad memories of gin hangovers kinda way. It’s there – still love it!
eluryinue – :
nice one and think it’s absolutely unisex. While the rose is there, it’s not a fresh flower rather its soapy abstract version, which makes it more unisex. The amber is not treacly but present and the pink pepper quite stands out for me. Overall it smells slightly creamy and a scent that I would find lingering in a spa. Longevity really good too, still strong after 6 hrs!

My fiancee bought me this scent for my birthday. I was excited since I’m a huge fan of RuPaul and Drag Race. The bottle design was kinda basic, but I was more disappointed with the fragrance itself. I was expecting an explosion of rich spices and sweetness, instead, it was a rosy musky blend, almost too soft for me. Lacking that extra oomph. I can imagine that it would smell wonderful on some people, but not me. I thought it was, as Michelle Visage puts it, “Meh!” I layer it with other stronger perfumes when I wear it.

Well I blind bought this and had it shipped from the USA and I have to say it was worth it. Sweet and spicy. Definitely Rose, Amber and pepper opening but the cedar comes through pretty quickly lending it a masculine edge. I haven’t smelled anything else like it so am unable to compare it to another scent.
I would say it’s a night time scent. I would also say Oriental. In different packaging, it could pose as Niche.
It is a longevity and sillage bomb, easily giving TM Alien a run for it’s money (yes I said it!). This is by far the best celebrity scent I have tried and I mean in terms of quality, uniqueness and lasting power. If you get the chance, try it.

Glamazon
RuPaul
Year
2013
Notes of: Rose, Pepper, Amber, Vanilla, Musk
I bought this yesterday from a friend who had more than one and told me about it. Sprayed it on my wrist and then my collar because I know if I like what I smell from those points in my body.
This is wonderful!
This is one of those rare fragrances that are marketed as unisex for women and men, so for once, a perfume that does not put labels on itself and accepts notes and smells as being genderless. This is an Oriental rose perfume. They weren’t kidding when they called it a Moroccan rose.
Smells like a big splash or Turkish rose oil. Then it softens into a blend of amber and vanilla with woods.
This is a fine red wine type of scent, luxurious and lush, fragrant and saucy.
Glamazon is an evening cologne for sure and can only be worn in the summer months because the floral notes can also be rather sweet and juicy. This floral juice and amber juice is sweet in the end. It seems to suit RuPaul perfectly. It’s not as obnoxious or over-the-top as the drag queen stuff though.
Oh no. It is pretty loud if you spray too much on but that would be your fault and not the perfume. It’s richly concentrated and an Oriental fashioned after 1980’s fragrances. This doesn’t get too powdery however and I feel it turns into a distinct amber and wood note that smells like a sort of cognac, with a hint of musk.
I can’t wait to try this out in public.

For anyone wondering if this is any good, I have to say it ain’t bad at all. Somewhat similar to the perfumes in Aramis’s Calligraphy line, but maybe executed a little better (and the Calligraphy perfumes ain’t too bad at all either). This a biggish oriental with rose and a wood that comes off as slightly oudy. Shante, you stay.

Glamazon matches its name and packaging very well: gorgeous, orange, pink, and yellow.
It is unisex but definitely leans toward the feminine side, in particular in the beginning. The top notes of rose and peppercorn bounce off of each other in a duality of feminine and masculine before fading into a gorgeous woody and amber scent. Upon first spray, it feels like a woman’s perfume, but as it dries, you can pick up some more masculine notes. The beginning feels like a classic “perfume” smell: floral, sweet, and luxurious. The dry down turns into what I would describe as a tamer and more refined Gaultier 2 – not to imply the scents are identical, but if I had to compare the dry down, that’s a fragrance that comes to mind because of the unisex amber blend.
To echo the reviews beneath me, the longevity and sillage on this is incredible, so there’s no need to over spray. In fact, I would not recommend wearing this in close quarters like an an office, but more on an evening out in the spring or summer because of the notes and sillage.
All in all, beautiful fragrance that is worth adding to your collection- especially if you’re a RuPaul fan. They’re currently being sold at Sweet Hollywood in LA, and their website ships internationally. I’m glad I picked up a bottle.

Deep amber
Red roses,
Spices & Woods
She is a fragrance of minimal notes but maximum power.
I don’t think this has anything to do with RuPaul, his drag queen reality show, or even drag queens at all.
This is a free for all fragrance, unisex, no skin color or age a perfume without any labels.
That’s the kind of feeling I get from it.
For me as a girl I like the rose scent although this is not a stereotypical sweet powdery or soapy rose. She is very bold and spiced up.
She’s like a Latin rose.
The rose is at the top and it seems to be citrusy and very aromatic.
The citrus-rose scent develops into a darker amber, maybe a little musk but a lot of woodsy notes.
This is downright Oriental.
I would recommend this fragrance for evening wear.
Smells expensive and like it belongs in a very important and glamorous location like the Oscars Academy Awards.
It’s glamorous and elegant, and can only be worn with expensive jewelry and evening gowns.
I don’t have any such glamorous clothes in my wardrobe but I like that this perfume makes me feel glamorous and it can be worn with a very chic dress on a more intimate dinner date.
Be warned though this is a bomb so apply with a light touch so that it won’t give anyone a headache or allergies.
Love it!

Fragrance Review For Glamazon
RuPaul
Top Notes
Pink Pepper
Middle Notes
Rose
Base Notes
Red Cedar Amber Tonka Bean
COVER GIRL!
This perfume matches up with RuPaul’s song Cover Girl which is a fashion show runway music. This is totally a super model’s perfume, a runway scent. It sells as a unisex fragrance “for men and women who are fierce”. It’s really not fierce at all but it is confident and bold. I can see why RuPaul was behind the composition as it does not smell either too feminine nor traditionally masculine, but more of a hybrid perfume that mixes women’s perfume notes with men’s cologne notes. The result is intoxicating.
The pink pepper opening is sweet not too peppery, almost like licorice. The rose is there very early on and it’s a lush velvety red rose. The amber in the dry down is resinous and warm and beautiful. The fact that the rose scent and the amber wear like Oriental perfume is helpful in the dry down which turns progressively more like a guy’s cologne or like an Arabic Middle Eastern perfume. It’s almost like an Al-Rehab. The Tonka or vanilla is powdery but not too powdery, sweet and a bit creamy. There is also something spicy as well.
This is a very well made fragrance, unisex, sexy, confident, and like I said something to wear when you want to be the center of attention, when you wear fashions that demand the audience’s full attention. It’s a gown that shows one leg a la Angelina Jolie at the Oscars or like a drag queen, one of RuPaul’s drag queen competitors from his TV show. If you are a drag queen, this is the perfume that was made for you to wear during your performance! However it is also a fragrance for women, and for men. My transgendered celebrity impersonator friend wears this perfume and loves it. It’s a perfume he’s worn when he’s performed as Cher and as Bette Midler. It’s a fun perfume but it’s also a tad on the serious side because the projection, sillage and performance is like a real perfume.
Well done RuPaul

Oh wow! Beautiful.
Not usually fond of florals, but Glamazon balances its deep dark rose with amber and a bit of cedar. Starts off more feminine, with its masculinity showing up in the dry down, when the cedar and rose seem to trade places. At which point, Glamazon reminds me of Halston Man Amber, but without the oud note.
sprinter_man – :
I am always curious about celebrity scents. I like to see if they reflect any of the celebrity’s personality. Most are disappointments either because they are poorly made or the concept is weak, so when I swapped for this one, it was a blind swap that I agreed to out of pure curiosity because I love RuPaul, but I wasn’t expecting much from this fragrance. To be perfectly honest, with the loud and colorful packaging I thought it was going to be awful.
I was so wrong! This is beautiful and “fierce”. I LOVE amber notes and this is amber done in a way I’ve never worn before. With the cedar, it manages to smell just slightly masculine, but the tonka and rose make it super super feminine. I’ve worn some big orientals from the 80’s, but this takes orientals to a whole new level. The silage projects into the whole room and it lasts all day long. It smells complex but not challenging and definitely not boring. I think this is best in warmer weather. In colder weather it tends to bring out the cedar and smells more masculine, whereas in the summer it brings out the rose and smells more feminine.

i haven’t smelled this one BUT HUNTY , does it bring back all the season of drag race and the genious of the qweeens
not today satan not today uh huh
i whish i could smell it so bad , i bet it would make me sissy that walk
usepkeesype – :
I really like this. And love Mama Ru too.
I live for Oriental Florals. I think that’s 98% of my perfume collection.
It only has 5 notes, and yet they’re all different enough to make it somewhat complex of a scent.
The cedar and pink pepper against the rose & tonka background makes it spicy soft. Kinda like a pink cloud in the sky with cinnamon sprinkles specked throughout it like glitter. But still not overly sweet.
And the amber is the base that makes the whole cloud float.
There IS something about it that makes it smell sort of like before-the-rain. I suppose the cedar + tonka.
Would purchase again. A++++ Asset to RuPaul’s catalogue of merchandise. Love huh.
P.S. My bottle, and all the other bottles I’ve seen have been 100 ml, not 50.

Ha! Glamazon. I didn’t know this existed. I would love to try it. I would expect everything about this fragrance to be tall and curvy in electric pink lipstick, a boa, and $700 platform shoes. Exciting!
I love the review below where the reviewer states this is their signature fragrance. Wouldn’t I love to give that answer to everyone who asks what fragrance I’m wearing! Unique and daring, indeed.

YOU BETTER WORK! It’s about time that the queen of all queens should have her own fragrance. I really wanna try it, it looks great! When I heard that RuPaul was releasing a fragrance I would’ve figured she would’ve gone to Etat Libre D’Orange to make a crazy perfume smelling of sweaty panty hose, tons of make up, and of course money and alcohol. Maybe next time. I hope this goes right on the shelf next to Dior at the store.
uthfrk – :
This is my signature scent. I wear it daily and, without fail, someone will ask me what I am featuring. When I reply, “Why it’s ‘Glamazon’ by RuPaul”–people are shocked. “Glamazon” is spicy, sexy, and very wearable. It’s got a smokey resonance that compliments the musky aura of the aroma. The scent is so versatile, it can be worn professionally and for pleasure–a day/night scent with no boundries!
For the most part, it will last throughout the day. I have been wearing this scent for over a year (I got it as soon as it was released) and have gone through 6 or so bottles (told you–I wear it daily). Only one of those bottle seemed a bit “off”–meaning it was comparatively weak.
Just be careful about packing it away (in a suitcase or purse). Sometimes the lids are faulty and you might find your precious, gorgeous liquid spilled at the bottle of your bag!
“Glamazon” is a divine scent and the perfect compliment to those who are not afraid to let their ferocity shine!

It’s still available for purchase! I was reading up on the fragrance and it seems to be a Colorevolution exclusive.
(Looks like you’re in luck, ChristopherK21, it’s $50!)

I was literally searching for this on the database the other day! What a coincidence! When I first heard a about this fragrance about a year ago, I was VERY inteested to try it, because I am a huge fan of the show RuPaul’s Drag Race and all of its spin-off competition shows as well!
I still have not had the chance to try it, as it is not available in any stores that I know of, and when I looked to purchase it online, it was pretty expensive to my surprise! (I am a bargin shopper lol)
From what I have heard from a YouTube review, it is a very warm and spicy scent! Not what I expected from the very flamboyant and pretty colored bottle! I assumed it would be a fruity-floral. She said hers was in a 3.4oz 100ml bottle, not a 50ml like the database is saying.
Makes me want to smell it more!
If anyone knows where to find this for a decent price less than $50 please let me know!
