Giorgio Glam opens with magnolia, just the tiniest bit like Britney Spears Believe. Peony appears next, and while I agree that peony has been way overused in cheap fruity-florals, it’s nice in this one, not screechy. Plum sets Glam apart from others in its genre because the plum here is surprisingly dark and brooding. For a while it doesn’t quiiiite get along with the peony, and there’s a tension, a point where you expect it to turn into a jammy shrill disaster, but it never does. The plum gives softness and heft to this. There’s an oddball grassy floral smell which is likely the cyclamen. The heat where I live just fries cyclamen, so I am not familiar with that note.
Overall the effect is that of a dark peony/magnolia fragrance. It’s more unusual than I thought it would be at first. Kind of a nighttime version of Red Door Revealed. Plum does not always work on my skin, so sometimes this comes dangerously close to smelling like apple butter mixed with grass and some flowers on me, yet I still like it a lot for everyday wear. I won’t insult it by calling it “office safe,” yet I doubt many people would be offended by it since the sillage is moderate. The magnolia comes and goes, keeping Glam from being linear.
Very likable and easy to wear. Better in fall and winter than in summer because of the plum.

This was a blind buy last month. I sprayed it on in the car and didn’t really like it and was going to give it to my daughter. I put it up and forgot about it and decided to try it again. Don’t know why I didn’t intialy like it but I’m loving it today. A really nice sweet floral.

I’v always loved heavy, strong orientals, but when I purchased Glam I was looking for a change. I tested this on my wrist at the department store. It was in January and it was new and I hadn’t heard of this fragrance yet. I often wear Red by giorgio beverly hills and loved it. So I shopped for a while after I sprayed Glam on me and I had no idea of the notes in this at the time but I definetly could tell this was not my typical oriental I usually favor and that it was floral of some type. Florals usually turn me off but there was something hypnotic and addictive about this one for me. Fragrances varies from one individual to the next. Thats one thing I find so fun about them. I can see how one would view this as a light fragrance. It did have a aquatic touch to it to me. But for me, it also had sunshine type of warmth and I was surprised to find its sillage on me was further than I expected. My kids and husband could still smell it from several feet away from me but not in a offensive or loud way but a very pleasant way. And the longetivty ended up being for about 4 hours which for me is good because for some reason even the most longest lasting fragrances typically never last longer than that even with layering. Im really hot natured person so maybe that has something to do with it, idk. I don’t think gardenia is listed but I seemed to smell it. It doesn’t seem like a very complex perfume but I still loved it. I was feeling down the day I tested it and it really did lift my mood. I usually don’t feel sexy with florals or anything with any lightness to it but this one made me feel very sexy, feminine, and even seductive with its sweetness of jasmine and fruity florals. The florals in it reminded me a bit of the florals in Elizabeth Taylor White Diamonds and the fruity like the fruits in Elizabeth Taylor Lustre which are two of my all time favorites. So it was a bright feeling fragrance but since my chemistry responded well with this one, I also felt awesome wearing it on a evening out. My husband loves this on me and I feel so romantic when wearing it. I received many compliments from men and women. It might NOT smell this way on everyone but I encourage to at least give it a test, you might be delightfuly surprised like me. IMO its not a sex vixen type of sexy but a romantic goddess of love type of sexy.

Back in January, I’d blind-bought a gift set of GLAM (edp and body spray) for under $10. (Oh, those drugstore post-holiday clearance sales!) Given this brand, I was expecting something much stronger and was surprised (and a bit disappointed) to find that it is such a light fragrance.
GLAM is a pleasant enough light floral with more fruity notes than are indicated in the description and thumbnails. In the initial stage, I pick up a touch of an artificially sweet note which luckily disappears after dry-down. At this point, it becomes a little less fruity and a trifle more woody. Sillage is soft and longevity on me is maybe 4 hours, plus another couple of hours as a skin-scent.
GLAM is another one of those fragrances with a name that doesn’t fit the scent, and to be honest, I’m a bit underwhelmed by it, but it’s OK for a casual afternoon and I also think it would be better in hot weather. Incidentally, the body mist is so light that I’ve been using it as a room spray. (Batch code 7AA1 – manufactured in January 2017)

If J’adore had a sassy younger sister with an attitude, her name would be Giorgio Glam. They share similar notes (magnolia, jasmine, and plum), but GG is less refined and not as subtle. I do not detect powdery or rose notes at all. I enjoy the scent and the price, it’s very affordable (I purchased my bottle with Kohl’s cash), but I feel this fragrance would be more appreciated by and more appropriate for someone younger than me. (I’m closer to 50 than 40.) I wear this just for me on days I want to conserve my bottle of J’adore, but it isn’t what I would choose to wear for outings or special occasions.

This reminds me of Electric Youth by Debbie Gibson!!
    Love it!
    More floral though.
    Update:
OK, I’ve had owned this perfume for about a month now.
Now it just makes me think of straight up roses!
So if you love rose scents, you will love this one.
    It’s wonderful!

Great blind buy for me because I got a awesome deal through HSN: 1.7oz edp for only 17$! Shipping and handling free! I figured if I didn’t like it I could always give it as a gift. It is definitely not for perfume snobs, this one is on the “cheap” side…If you like any of the Viva La Juicys by Juicy Couture, you’ll like this one. Sillage is almost non-existent, this is mainly a skin scent. Also, not long lasting at all, maybe an hour or two. Very pleasant, I can see all ages wearing this scent. Would I repurchase? No, only if it was at massive discount.

Sometimes as a “perfumista”, you come across a fragrance that’s hard to assess because there’s nothing groundbreaking about the composition, presentation or marketing around it but the scent itself is just really…likable. It’s both, not creatively challenging and you really enjoy wearing it. For some reason, likable has become a dirty word in fragrance fiend circles but it’s a quality that deserves its own recognition of value. It’s nice to be liked and to smell “good” and welcoming to a wide range of people.
That’s how I feel about “Giorgio Glam”. It starts a little high pitched in the way classic, mainstream “lady” scents do, like “J’Adore” and “Vera Wang” but then immediately moves into an ambient spicy, soft, dryer-sheets-creamy linen area. There’s something of the cozy sweater on a cool night feel of “Inis Moonlight” to it and that could be the impression of the same cyclamen referencing ingredient used. The magnolia adds that little hint of dry fiber that reminds me of linen in this particular blend.
I think cyclamen is that nostalgic note sniffers are noticing in “Giorgio Glam” because as far back as “Exclamation!” that note started becoming popular in mainstream bath and body products, often used in “Sweet Pea” blends and it’s never really gone away.
There is also a really pleasant, cool, clean jasmine at its center that is similar to the one found in the very popular “Alien” by Thierry Mugler. Also, the creaminess reminds me of the “Juicy Couture” original but without the caramelized tuberose, if that makes sense. I know it seems like the original “Juicy” can’t exist without it but there’s something these two scents share that I can’t quite put my finger on.
Overall, “Glam” is both cool and warm in a “skin-scent in a brisk wind” type of way, floral yet sweetly aquatic, fresh yet slightly ripe. It’s almost like an imitation of the delightfully squeaky clean, after-scent cacophony of showering, moisturizing, hairspray, nail polish and makeup that you experience getting ready for a big day or night, where even the hint of some natural scent is unlikely to rear its head for the next couple of days, you’re so primped and starched. It’s “The works” of pampering and primping in a bottle.
In this way, the marketing campaign attached to it is perfectly honest as is spokeswoman Julianne Hough’s description of it. It’s for a clean, well turned-out woman in a good mood and with a good attitude, enjoying a sunny afternoon shopping. There’s even something about it that brings back memories of mall oggling fragrance counters as a teen, the exciting scents of obviously glamorous women who shopped at malls, wafting in a whisper across the shopping center. I needed to spray on a sample for my glamorous night out driving with the girls, talking to someone’s boyfriend at his job before getting coffee and driving around to see if old ghost legends were true before going to a movie! The mystery and danger of it all!
I shouldn’t like it but I do and I don’t say that to be a fragrance snob, I just don’t usually lean towards florals that are distinctly crisp and “Glam” is. But this, this I like. And I suspect lots of men will like it too. But like all florals, it’s not a good fit to over-spray because the cloud can become chokingly tart and thick, like a fog of hairspray and it won’t entirely settle down into quiet woods if you over-apply. However, one spray and you’ll smell fresh and modern all night or day, it will be a noticeable fragrance but not too imposing. I hope they keep it around for a long time.
I found mine at “Walmart” but it’s also sold on HSN and at Kohl’s.

I just saw our local walmart had this on their shelves. I am pretty sure they do not set their own perfume shelves and they have a 3rd party vendor do their “high end” shelves. Unfortunately like most big box stores there is no testor. Price was around $28.

Bottle not the greatest, scent is like something Liz Claiborne would put out. Bright, piercing floral similar to Jadore.

Walgreens stores are carrying the $39.99 size bottle. This stuff is Gorgeous! The first time I sprayed it, I loved it, but could not point the notes out. The second time, I realized, there is a slight background of the original Giorgio, but not enough to scare me off. It reminds me of Charlie Express, long time discontinued favorite. So glad I stumbled across this little gem!

I was wandering around Walgreens/Duane Reade looking for something else and I came across the small tester of this with the original Giorgio BH. Giorgio Glam reminds me of something from the past that I once wore. It does not smell like the typical release for 2017. Definitely smell this in person.

Here I have a beautiful designed box and bottle of fragrance that is 1 FL Oz. The box was sealed in plastic wrap but once I took that plastic wrap off the box I could smell the fragrance. The box is really pretty I like the design on it. There is a NEW fragrance in most fashion boutiques on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. Oh My, with each spray of this fragrance you can smell the blend of florals, fruits, and sensuous woods.

Wow…..an HSN offering? And at 72 dollars, I’m not certain if I want to take the plunge. The notes look wonderful. I wonder if HSN also had Gold at one point? I haven’t found that one yet anywhere. I think I am going to have to hold off and see what others think first. Hopefully it will still be around if I decide to buy it.

This is currently being sold in the US at the HSN (Home Shopping Network) website for $42-$72. From the product website:
“Embrace the sophisticated extravagance of Beverly Hills with this bold, captivating fragrance that evokes the modern glamour of Giorgio. Opening with sparkling floral notes, the scent ends with rich sandalwood and golden amber, adding a touch of opulence and sensuousness. Because luxury isn’t an option; it’s a necessity.
Top: Sparkling floral notes of magnolia, wild cyclamen and peony
Mid: Fruity notes of stephanotis flower, iris, plum and jasmine
Base: Woody ambery notes of white heliotrope, golden labdanum and sandalwood”
Hope that helps for some who are looking for it…
