This was my signature scent back when it was newly launched. I remember going to the mall, and trying everything. I was so happy with it, that I wore it for years til it was discontinued. Recently I saw it while I was waiting to check out and bought it for nostalgic reasons. I can say the newer bottle isn’t the same, it’s quite a bit harsher and more chemical than what I remember. Granted the scents back then were louder and bolder, but this was Aire… A soft whisper, of white florals, a hint of peach and a dry down that was sexy like the power suits of the day. The newer version screams at you, and has none of the tact or grace of the original.

Blind purchase after reading reviews here. And what can I say.. Extremely sharp and soapy opening, actually made my head turn away. I waited a few minutes and all I could smell was nothing but the Truth. If you’re a fan of lily of the valley and jasmine, this one is definitely for you.

This is a sweet, round, and uncomplicated white floral with a big, beautiful opening that smells more expensive than the tiny bit I paid for it. It settles down quickly (or I get used to it fast) and I’m tempted to re-spray, but that could get dangerous.
I think this is a great cheapie for hot days when you still want to put on a big perfume.

When I was a kid my mom took us on summer vacation to LA, the first time I had been there. We did the tourist thing and went to Rodeo Drive, and she bought this perfume for herself at the Armani store, at the suggestion of a sales associate. She def was never a real perfumista, I think maybe she just bought it as a souvenir more than anything, but she wore it for a while after that.
After they stopped making this, I often thought of it because of how much I associated it with summer in the late 90’s and exciting, cosmopolitan vacations (as opposed to the rural, outdoorsy ones my dad took me on). That green bottle and those stripes easily referred to the West Coast image of luxury branding. (To me it fits right in the with Beverly Hills Hotel/ Palm Springs style of midcentury aesthetic). When I was growing up, the idea of luxury wasn’t as overdone and excessive in output and accessible 10x a minute like it is now, and because I was a kid too, it held a lot of wonder that it definitely doesn’t for me anymore.
Now that they make this perfume again, I’ve bought a bottle for very cheap. I’m actually afraid to smell it because I don’t want it to be different, but at 13 dollars it wouldn’t be a big loss monetarily speaking.

This perfume smells wonderful on my skin, and l love it!

I used to have the original Beverly Hills, and did enjoy wearing it, even though it was so cliche in the 80’s.
So, i was hoping very much to like this flanker… hoping it would just be a note off, just enough to make it a shade different..and hence more wearable. But, alas, no. It is altogether different.
At first I did not like this much, but it has grown on me , and I do like it now. It is soft, and I get a lot of peach. Somewhat Tresor like. There are apparently some green notes, and indeed the bottle and box indicate a “greenness” , but sense none of that. Rather a soft white peachy smell. Nice for work or afternoons. I would not wear it at the height of summer with humidity, as I would rather have something crisper for that type of weather. So the “green” image it gives off may be misleading.
Try before you buy. A decent , moderate wearing everyday fragrance, unlikely to offend.
oleska93 – :
Perfect for a sweltering, humid August day. Fresh, refreshing, uplifting and reviving. Quite heavy on the LOTV though, so if you don’t care for that note, this may not be for you.
Projection is strong for the first hour and then falls back, but I can still detect it on my skin after 12 hours.
Astonishing value for money – the 90ml bottle is as cheap as chips and the fragrance punches well above its weight. I have to say I’m impressed with Giorgio Beverley Hills. Red is terrific, So You is very nice, this one is a winner and I’m looking forward to trying Holiday shortly. Happy days!

It was a total blind buy, and at a 13 euro rate, plus the fact it`s called `Aire` predicting a light summer frag I just jumped at it – worst case scenario is it`ll become a room spray..BUT iT`S NICE! I fell for it right after the first spritz. It`s jasmine-tuberose-lily of the valley combo hit the right spot and I`m just loving it now, despite of the green notes, which I`m usually not a fan of. I can also detect a certain sweetness in the background – probably the peach – which kicks off but fades later almost completely. Nothing complicated, no trying hard, flight, yet not citrusy or cologne-like, even though it does have a 90`s feel about it – I guess that could be because it`s somehow reminiscent of the original GBH. On my chart it scores 8/10, only because the sillage is not great – a couple of hours after spraying generously I could barely detect anything at all..But again, it could perform better in warm climate.

A friend of mine wore this and it smelled nice and summery, so I purchased a bottle when I happened to find one on sale. This is the modern formulation of AIRE edt. (The batch code is L6JA1 – manufactured in July 2016. The codes repeat every 10 years.)
AIRE is a fresh and sheer floral with green undertones and a slight sweetness. After dry-down, the bergamot becomes more noticeable to me and I can pick up the sandalwood after several hours. There is a brief time at the beginning when I am aware of a note that is just a bit artificially sweet when I sniff my wrist, however, I don’t smell this in the sillage. This note isn’t strong enough or artificial enough to upset me and it’s gone soon anyway. On me, AIRE starts out as moderate in the sillage department and then it dries down to soft. Overall longevity is good although it’s nearly a skin scent for several hours at the end. AIRE is a refreshing fragrance that’s a little different than the usual light florals and it’s very wearable in hot, sticky weather.
mgeladze – :
A pleasant enough green floral suitable for spring but, because my skin soaks up perfume making it undetectable on me, I need a fragrance with heavier sillage than this.

I was looking for a budget fragrance for summer and I believe I have found it. I can’t say enough good things about this fragrance. This may be a reformulation or re-launch, and I never had the good fortune to smell the original in its day, but I have to say this is the lightest of floral, yet so lovely and gently sweet. There is nothing plastic at all in the fruits. just all very natural. In some perfumes with fruit notes, I get a plastic like- hairspray note, but not in this. The tuberose doesn’t shout either, it whispers right along with the jasmine. Reviews were spot on. Love this fragrance. Light & airy and just perfect for hot Florida weather.
Doker15 – :
The Beverly Hills air is just as tuberose-infused as always, I see. Has the clear signature of the original, possibly a bit greener, and not quite as atomic. That’s not saying much though. In the world of Giorgio, I guess this passes as “aire”.
Vanek M. – :
More of a question~ I had this yrs ago when it first came out. I just ordered a bottle from Ebay & it’s NOT the light fresh blue color it was. It’s almost light brown. Also a strong pungent G. A. Scent..Was this Reformulated? THIS is not what I had before! Smells like Wind Song on Steroids!
DailedDima7s – :
I love Aire’s cheerful packaging and cute bottle and the scent itself really delivers.
I would call it an early white floral, all green white flower trio. So beautiful, nostalgic, romantic and fresh.
Pastel, pleasant and potent – very relaxing as well.
Highly recommended for those who search for a dewy and sweet white flower scent with an enigmatic aromatic-green twist.
Dayron – :
I can’t stop buying this perfume it’s makes me happy like a kid.
I drink it no no I am kidding
ralphshopkpe – :
My gosh this is nice! The opening is all at once sweet, misty (LadyPilot said it before me and I don’t think there’s a better word) and green. It’s like a plant “breathing” a sigh of relief after a scorching day, releasing some of its natural fragrance into the evening air.
The floral notes of jasmine and lily-of-the-valley are fresh and realistic. The peach comes through to me as a light nectar which fades leaving behind a soft peach skin. This combined with the cool vetiver and sweet orchid adds to the soft, dry texture of this scent.
Although there’s a bit of musk here it doesn’t dominate. I think it’s the civet in the base that gives Giorgio Aire a lovely quiet radiance.
If you’re looking for a spring/summer scent that’s a bit different from the usual citrus or fruity/floral, I highly recommend giving this one an “airing”!

Yes, it is back in production, I just received my bottle and I’m in love!!! The first blast is very much like the good old Acqua di Gio – slightly citrussy-melon-soapy-misty-like, then the soap emerges for a short, to finally give way to beautiful spring flowers, with dominating lily of the valey. And this soft, misty white floral paradise stays with you for a long, long time! This scent reminds me of a luxurious restroom in the lounge of a five-star hotel, one full of marble and wrought iron ornaments, fresh flowers and delicately smelling highest quality soap. And as for this category of light perfumes, it’s amazingly long-lasting! A big, big “yes” for this one!
tcf669Negeltzex – :
I guess it’s back in production, because I just bought it in the store. First impression from tester, it’s fresh and light, bit of citrus but not overpowering. Actually first I bought Holiday, since it is pinkish colour, I got mislead by the colour of parfum, usually green mean something strong, amber and musky, this completely not what I expected from the greenish colour parfum.
WARRIOR86 – :
This was one of my mom’s favorite fragrances back in 1996. She also loved the Ocean Dreams scent as well. She eventually gave me both bottles but we shared them and both really loved these two scents back in the summer of 1996. I wish that fragrances today were more like they used to be like in the mid 90’s because I really miss the aldehydic vibe that these had.
-Валерий- – :
To me it is pure sweet flower scent. It is not beating you in nose, it is soft touch of lily -of the- Valley with Jasmine and peach on a background. This is really 90th perfume, and it is good thing about it, as nowadays perfumes are just synthetic and too much of everything in one. It is not annoying, in the contrary it is modest. I recommend this even to wear at the office as it will bring you a silent pleasure, while other not to be attacked by “something heavy” . Very springy / early summery perfume. I like it!
bayker976 – :
Because this scent is no longer in production, be careful when buying. Look for a very greenish-blue, clear color, with no hint of amber. Even the ones that have been stored properly have begun to break down, and if they’ve been opened? Forget it. They’ll be spoiled, smelling like alcohol or worse, fermented.
Those who’ve never tried it fresh, back in the day, have no clue how wonderfully fresh, light, and clean it’s supposed to be!
dron241088 – :
I wish this was still in production.

This used to be my signature back in the day. It matches it’s name; it is light and airy with a definite watery feel. I don’t get the fruits either. It wears like a fresh floral.
orolta – :
it is not fruity at all,it is very sharp flowery ,synthetic, kinda out dated perfume
pyteec.ua – :
I used to wear this years ago. I remember it to be much more flowery then the notes that are listed here would imply, though it was a bit sweet. Not like the fruity gourmands they make nowadays though, it was a modest kind of sweetness. Lasting power wasn’t too great on me, I remember reapplying several times a day even on the hottest summer days.
Definitely a spring/summer fragrance.
