Smells nice, mature but passable.quite generic.

My Mom was gifted by her best friend this perfume around 2013, to my teenage nose it was mature and beautiful. I can remember i mostly detect orange blossom and some white floral between jasmine or tuberose. The lasting power was quite good even though after 1 hour it became skin scent.

This one smells exactly the same as 24 Faubourg. Bought Hermes 24 as a gift to an older lady, and she took her older formulation Giordani Gold from a wardrobe and said that i 100% guessed her taste.

We was mad about a Giordano perfume back in early 80ths, it smells heavenly good, and I would love to buy a new bottle of this true beauty =))

The fresh smell of citruses combined with white flowers creates a lovely opening of Giordani Gold.
    Then the magic disappears.
The drydown is dusty, outdated – far from the bella figura-style the ad wants to create.
This is truly one of the best examples of a perfume with a deceptive, beautiful opening notes that transforms into a horrible drydown.
I am glad I tested this before ordering.

This is an oldie goldie, dating back from the 1970s. I discovered this scent in the early noughties when I received it as a gift. Back then my favourites were Burberry Weekend, Moschino L’eau Cheap & Chic and J’adore, so I found this one to be quite heavy, but I liked it nevertheless – although for me it was a strictly autumn-and-winter-night-out kind of scent. The interesting thing was that I never got the top notes – instead, I was immediately hit with the trio of very strong middle notes (tuberose, jasmine and lily), and the drydown was very powdery and musky. I haven’t smelled it in a long time, but I still remember it very well and I would recognise it instantly.

i expected a verrry heavy perfume wz amazing longevity but all i got is a very heavy scent wz very weak longevity , what a shame ! it’s classic n elegant ,ssssso classic which i like but um deeply upset by it’ longevity 🙁

I don’t know why alot of people here hate GG maybe it’s too strong. But I think It’t very classic, elegant and sexy. Floral notes makes me feel fresh and cool. It has a good lasting power (more than 8 hours on me) and smells like an expensive perfume. Love it !!

Lovely, powdery tuberose and white flowers. I believe you need to have a very lady-like, soft side to enjoy this.
It’s similar to Giorgio, but lighter. I can also see the references to 24 Faubourg by Hermes.
Giordani Gold can be a very nice signature fragrance; however you need to be in the mood for it all the time, which never happens with me with a single perfume.

daily fragrance. i had to say after spray than run, spray than run. omg so powdery.
and it only last under 6 hours.
prefer not to buy it again.
i think it’s not equal with the price

I had the body spray before, and I tried the edp today (belongs to my aunt). The first spray.. very floral and strong. The drydown was softer. I sprayed at 11am, and now at 6pm I still could smell it on my skin eventough it’s very soft. It was hot summer day, and I think it’s ok to wear it in summer. I love it but it’s kinda pricey and I prefer buying designer perfumes, maybe I’m not gonna buy it.. but I’ll be glad if someone give me as a gift because it’s a beautiful scent

I had it several years ago and as I think back it was for mature women not a college student. Still, it was a very nice smelling perfume, a perfect blend of everything. Th silage was fantastic.

I can’t stand the smell of lilies. And lilies is what I mostly get out of this fragrance. By far the worst Oriflame fragrance.

I really enjoy this one! Errr… scratch that! I LOVE this one!
It’s bright, sparkling, fresh, but also warming… Lovely in spring and fall season.
It’s not too loud, but it is present.
I could smell it on myself for 7 hours. After 7 hours it still lingers close to the skin where I can’t smell it anymore, but others still can.
    ♥♥♥♥♥
I don’t understand the big amount of dislikes… In my opinion it deserves much more credit.

I don’t know why this fragrance has received such bad reviews, it’s actually rather good for the price. It’s one of those pleasant and classy white florals.
Giordani Gold opens with a lot of fresh jasmine, sweet lily and mandarin orange. It’s almost in the same style as Dior’s J’adore. A golden, classy, fresh and slightly fruity jasmine scent.
Those that call Giordani Gold ‘old lady’ don’t know what they’re talking about or even understand what the term implies. Probably what they mean to say is that they don’t enjoy white florals, or those of a heavy nature. Please don’t be put off by this scent believing that it’s only for mature women.
Giordani Gold is a fairly linear fragrance, however this upfront composition does not lessen its appeal. Oriflame is an affordable brand, so this fragrance would make a great gift for a special lady or even a worthy addition to one’s wardrobe, especially if fruity white florals are their thing.
Giordani Gold has moderate sillage and reasonable longevity. I managed to obtain my sample through Ebay, from a European seller. This brand is hard to come by in Australia, but I often wish it were more readily available.

Warm, musky, powdery floral scent… Sometimes I think this one is a little bit too strong (that’s why I prefer Giordani White Gold rather than this one because the white one is much softer to my taste), but it’s not that bad. My mother even loved the smell of it on me so much!

  21. :

Giordani Gold is a type of fragrance that one will like to wear on regular basis but not for special occasions. I will classify it as clean and powdery.
I love describing fragrances without seeing fragrance pyramids ’cause it gives nose a real test of the fragrance. As per my habit, I applied it on the back of my both hands and let it settle for a little while and then what my nose picked is here: It semlls flowery right from the beginning, white florals in particular. Jasmine is a note that you can smell behind the hundred veils of other notes and so is the case with tuberose. Jasmine is very prominent and subtle and a little later it seems to blend with tuberose and brushed up with woody base.
My only gripe about Oriflame fragrances is the lasting power and their fragrances are usually close to skin. The same happened with Giordani Gold. It vanished in two hours and what I smell now are the remains of it.

I don´t really understand why this scent has gotten so many bad reviews… I have a relative wo works at an oriflame factory, and she gives away oriflame products to everyone… I´ve tested many oriflame perfumes, and this one is one of their high quality ones… They make many scents that smell MUCH cheaper and more syntetic than this one!! That said this is by no means a super scent, but unlike 80% of the oriflame perfumes I get from my relative I´m keeping this one! I have a thing for tuberose and I do like patchouli… this has both in a well blenden mix!

Very similar to my grandmother’s old parfume. I like GG EDP very much but afraid of I’m not old enough to use it (only 23 years old).

I am gobsmacked by the number of negative reviews here.
Giordani Gold strikes me as one of the most fantastic and classy juices out there.
I even dare to say it strongly reminds me of Faubourg 24!
Gold is an elegant fragrance for a smart professional such as chief executive or a senior officer.
It can also be worn for special occasions such as a banquet at an exclusive restaurant.
It possess the most wonderful combo of florals with a hint of a chypre undertone which boasts with feminity.
It is a mature fragrance, so to speak. And although I am a fruity lover – Giordani Gold made my heart melt and got my nose scream for more!
It lasts quite a while (approx 6-7 hours) and has a noticeable silage.
    A definite keeper!

Preciously… CHEAP.. Like men’s aftershave modified for refined female noses… Oriflame too often can’t mix well the ingredients, leaving the wearer ‘naked’ with the cheapest base alone..

I really wonder why this perfume took so many ‘dislikes’. It’s not at all bad, at least to me. I bought it from a student of mine unsniffed and I wasn’t disappointed at all. It has something that makes it very fresh, could it be the mandarine note?
But it is fresh-floral and not fruity at all.
It has a very good lasting power on me and truth is that it smells like an expensive perfume. It is a well blended perfume, one of the fresh scents that won’t cause nausia or a headache even if you spray a little bit more.
The only partialy negative is that- as other person has already stated- it is a perfume for special occasions. It can be worn at a night out (to a club, a restaurant, theatre, coffee etc etc), to a wedding but it would be somewhat exaggerated for a casual morning appearance, I think. But then, everyone has at least one casual perfume, why not a non casual one too.
    It’s too elegant and…sparkling.
I can’t see how I am going to finish the bottle though, as I very rarely (never) go out at night.
Very nice perfume though, it makes me feel nice.

Your man will love your smell if you use this. Its a bit strong, opens with a floral smell. The dry down is warm and woody, and then a powdery feminine, sophisticated smell. Spray only twice otherwise, it quite over powering. Lasts all day long. Recommended for special occasions – not a day use.

Giordani Gold is very pretty. This is the first Oriflame scent I have had a chance to try. So sad to see that this line is not marketed in the United States, though I have seen some bottles of this one on ebay.
I thought at first that it smelled like Hermes Amazone or Amazone Light. I did a side-by-side comparison, and if you could strip away the bitter greens from Amazone, yes, there is some similarity in the dry-down. Giordani Gold is a pretty floral chypre with an old school vibe. As others have noted, it does not last long on the skin. Looks like it is quite affordable if it is available in your country, though, so reapplying as often as needed won’t cause any guilt.

This smells like a dead ringer to
Lanvin’s Rumeur with it’s strong note
of Tuberoses unlike Rumeur it’s a bit more softer thanks to due to the white
florals so it does’nt get to overwhelming it dries down to an deep
musky scent of Jasmine and crisp green
cypress. I whould classify this as an
Cypre Floral it’s Little more Woodish
    to be an floral.
This is an sparkling fragrance And it’s also a sexy bottle and color but it
can be an overwhelming but the white
gold is alot softer to the senses.

I can’t take a stand on this one: several times I thought it smelled cheap and overpowering, but at other times the scent was quite comforting, flowery and warm. Still, i think i wasn’t too crazy about it when i had it. The bottle was standing in my trumeau for several years and i touched it only occasionally. Funny, couple of my male friends commented on this perfume saying the scent was beautiful))

I got it from a gift and I didn´t like. I think this perfume is very strong for me. I agree with “mags” It´s for older ladies and Giordani white gold is better, because It´s softer ;)…

Oh, I don’t think it’s a bad scent, but it’s very classy, not for the youth, but for at least middleaged women. I would say it’s a floral-chypre and smells really aged.
