To say that this is a light scent would be an understatement. It’s very pleasant, no question about that. It’s fresh, aquatic, the Gin note is present (just a tiny bit), and you can detect a twist of lime in there. The scent is neither feminine or masculine. Anyone could wear this in my opinion. It really is a great sent, but like others have stated, there is absolutely no staying power on this at all. It also sits fairly close to the skin. This is not one that will radiate outward very far from your body. It would be good for layering with similarly scented products, or if you just want a burst of a fresh scent as a pick-me-up. I picked this up at Marshall’s for $6.99, and it’s definitely worth it given the limited staying power.

I really like this. I mostly get the watery notes and lime with a sharpness from the gin. However it has NO staying power (maybe 10 minutes). I would like a real perfume brand to make this.

Everybody’s olfactory makeup is different, and there’s a handful of Demeters that I can barely smell, even at close range. (Ex: Persimmon, Barbados Cherry, Devil’s Food, Candy Cane Truffle). I originally put Gin & Tonic in that bin as well, but! later revised that assessment.
Gin & Tonic goes on deceptively soft, yet revives 10 minutes in, to make a respectable appearance. Gender neutral yet leans masculine. While it’s definitely a citrus-aromatic, I wouldn’t go with Juniper as the prominent note. There’s an herbal blend of Angelica / Artemesia, with a hint of greens -Fir/ Cypress on my skin.
This isn’t a sugar-bomb. It’s a grown-up scent. Sophisticated, refined, and perfectly wearable with a suit.

Bought this on a whim, as I love G&T’s and was wondering if a fragrance could ever smell similar. The answer: yes, but for all of 30 seconds. This fragrance smells exactly like a G&T in the open, but that very quickly dissipates and what remains is a somewhat soapy scent which also disappears in around 5 minutes. Longevity: non existent. Sillage: you have to have the olfactory senses of a bloodhound to be able to smell this beyond your skin.
Would be a nice buy for a lark, but not worth the price – I’ve picked up bottles of designer fragrances for the same price that are far better quality.

It’s a light one, really smell like the drink just a hint of sweeter taste, little bit more female ish.
Dhzim – :
it suits for women and men. And a nice scent for day wear which is fresh and wake you up. But after you wear it for a day the lime note become weird that smells like glue and sweeter. I prefer this in summer afternoon with this cool and refreshing scent. But you need to re-apply to make sure no it still smelling fresh lime.
neursiori – :
Fresh lime with a prominent bitter gin note, perfect for hot summer days and makes a refreshing change from the countless sweet fruity perfumes out there. I can almost imagine drinking this. Downsides are it doesn’t last long at all, and leaves an oily residue on my skin long after the scent has faded.

If you looking for G & T, or Vodka and lemon, try YSL Frozen Cologne.
grave28 – :
It doesn’t smell anything like gin, well not the type I drink anyway. I totally get the watery lime notes, they are definitely there, but not really the gin. It’s nice and fresh, very much a cologne smell. Lasts about 3-4 hours, definitely no longer. Pretty good.

I was hoping to get more juniper/gin notes out of this. Unfortunately it mostly smells like calone — generic fresh “male” scent. Way too much of that to be unisex I think, and not enough like the gin and tonic name. Disappointed in this one; Demeter is usually very accurate with their notes.
RabAxiollaMib – :
Gin & tonic is one of my favorite cocktails, and this one doesn’t smell like gin & tonic at all. Having said that I still like its smell, it’s fresh, soapy, clean, bubbly and up-lifting. Too bad, just like other Demeter fragrances, the silage & longevity are really poor.
psih_06 – :
It’s a great fragrance and wears true to the name! I like to wear it on girls night out with a black dress that has leather accents. It’s kinda my “bad girl” scent. It’s very fresh and boozy, and by the time I am ready to go home at the end of a fun night, the scent is gone, in the meantime, it is pretty much true to the notes. Smells like a nice, smooth gin with tonic water, a little lime and some faint faint juniper or maybe rosemary. It reminds me of some of the old school bars in San Francisco, and for that reason, it’s a conversation starter.
NIKEone – :
this doesn’t remind me of gin at all. and i’m not familiar enough with tonic water to know if that’s what i’m smelling or not. but it smells like a generic, too-strong, aquatic, masculine fragrance that should’ve come from Axe or some such.
Гречка – :
smells like a gin and tonic without any stickiness. it lasts about 2 hrs on me and then it’s just faintly there. for me it’s a fun day scent in warmer weather. love the juniper and lime together. it smells so good.
ice_squirrel – :
This hits the mark- smells like a gin & tonic without any hint of booziness. a nice light summer fragrance.
drobik1963 – :
The perfect light summer fragrance. The initial scent is punchy tonic and juniper, with a lovely zesty tonic note in the dry down. Sillage is low to moderate (depending on how liberal you are with spraying!) and longevity on me was 3-4 hours.
Dragonman – :
Gin&Tonic smells like the real thing when smelling from the bottle or paper (Gin&Tonic with lime wedge). However, on me, it has the Gin&Tonic smell as background, with a dash of floral hint, like those from a typical ivory soap, and I find Gin&Tonic quite nice to wear if you want something has the cleaness of Pure Soap also by Demeter, but with a little bit fresh and refreshing twist.
alfa888 – :
Juniper, chalk and a touch of lime. I enjoyed this one when I had it, but it wasn’t quite as effervescent as Gingerale. It doesn’t have the bitterness of quinine or the acidity of citrus, and the pine is soft, but it feels like a cool cotton sheet on a hot day.
ivaner – :
I can’t find listed notes anywhere besides “gin” and “tonic water.” It definitely has juniper berries in it and a peppery note that gives it a slightly effervescent feeling. At the final dry down there’s also a sort of glue-like note that is probably the base. It smells at the end like peppery pine needles and glue. It’s really nice for hours, though, fresh and bite-y and crisp. Will be great in summer
