This smells a bit strange on me like “floral plastic”. I think that this scent would work really well with male chemistry – kinda powdery like “PI”… 🙂

I am really liking it ! At first sniff I thought oh my, a vanilla scent, and I am not big on vanilla, but very fast, it merges into a fresh fruity vanilla, a bit powdery, and I must say it smells real pretty…it reminds me of a few fragrances, Kors Midnight Shimmer, a bit of Aerin Tangier vanille, also a bit of Black Opium, in a distant way…overall, it is sweet, but not to the point of being a candy scent..it has a grown up vibe , like most Cavalli, and I really like it..the mix of fresh, warm., sweet is working great ! I find it cozy, feminine, interesting..better for cooler weather as the amber warms up the scent….in the end, a really good vanilla based scent..nicely constructed…llongevity isn’t bad, it creates a nice cloud of vanilla delight around me…lovely !!,
People seem to love it, I haven’t owned it long but I got many compliments already .

This really did not work for me. Very sweet. If anyone wants it in Canada, please pm me.

I can´t help myself but it smells like YSL Manifesto to me. I realized it only after the 3rd try so it was quite a disappointment because I thought I bought something I didn´t own yet. Until that I loved it but since then I can´t enjoy it so much. So I combine it with other fragrances to have something unique. But the bottle is absolutely gorgeous! Even opening the box is a pleasure because of its black interior, so it really looks like there was a gem!

I sense it mostly as powdery vanilla with wood scent on my skin. Nice simple everyday perfume. For me it’s great for warm and cozy fall days. Sillage is soft, longevity good.
The green bottle is very pretty!

On my skin, this juice skips the fruity notes of pear and mandarin as listed in the perfume pyramid and heads right into the floral, woody and vanilla notes: I love it. I don’t detect the Mandarin note on my skin—it just morphs into a delicious mellow brew of vanilla, floral and woody notes.
Today, on the street, I was told, verbatim, “Wow, you smell fantastic!” And and it’s a good thing too, because this juice lingers on my skin well into the 8 hour mark.
It’s not a loud fragrance, but it doesn’t go unnoticed; it’s feminine but not saccharine. The woody, vanilla and floral notes blend together for a creamy, soft drydown that sits close to the skin. I wasn’t expecting to love it as much as I do, but I’ll definitely be looking out for another bottle. Repurchase ahead.
Edit: This is juice an unexpected compliment potion! I walked into a burrito place yesterday, and the reaction behind the counter was: “Your perfume smells so good.” For a blind buy at a discount price, I seem to have found a perfume that works particularly well for me.
A week or more into wearing this perfume, and The part note is absolutely and definitely present in the opening; not sure why initially I didn’t register it at all. The mandarin note continues to elude me, but like I said, the pear note is front and centre in the opening.

Charming potion. Soft, feminine, sensual beautiful mandarin followed by an amazing floral bouquet and supported by billowy vanilla and amber . I receieved so many compliments wearing this!
Love it!

This was also a Shoppers Drug Mart $19.99 find! One box left on the shelf, I got so lucky. I am surprised that this perfume doesn’t have more loves, it’s gorgeous. Right down to the diamond turquoise bottle, my favorite colour. The precious woods with amber in the base mixing with the vanilla; seamlessly I might add, is just absolutely divine! I can’t get enough of it, so addictive. My new favorite, so happy with this, and to top it all off, it didn’t break the bank, lol. A definite compliment getter as well. Going to get another one, if I can find it somewhere else. Tried it in this summer heat here, and it’s not cloying at all, surprisingly. Can’t wait to try this out in Autumn and winter, it’s really gonna shine then! 🙂

This was another Shoppers Drug Mart $19.99 find! I really love the original Paradiso—and the bottle design is swoonworthy to me—so I grabbed a bottle of Gemma as soon as I saw it. The green bottle is a stunner, even in the 30 ml size.
The scent itself is quite different from the original, which was beautiful citrus and green notes, well-suited to summer weather. Gemma, in contrast, is a warm, woody, slightly spicy vanilla with jasmine/white floral notes. It smells surprisingly minty to me (I hope that’s not the green bottle influencing me, ha!). The perfume is very base-heavy: I get strong wood and vanilla notes. I can’t see myself wearing this much in warm weather, despite the juice in the bottle looking like a refreshing cocktail.
Longevity seems very good so far; one spray on my arm has nice sillage!
Overall I can’t say I love it—there is something very slightly tacky-feeling about it—but it is somewhat unique in my collection and I’m happy to try it out again in cooler weather.
(Edit: Came back to say that the one spray lasted all day and then some. Wowza. Also, the vanilla drydown worked much better in the heat than I had anticipated. Think I’m gonna go get a backup bottle!)

Found a 30ml bottle of this on the $19.99 shelf at Shoppers Drug Mart (here in Canada) Never se the box before, so thought id give it a teat considering the price I didn’t mind.
What can I say? I do really like it on my skin, It is very different than anything else I have in my current collection. The scent reminds me of something I cannot put my finger on, but then it is a unique addition to my collection.
Antares-07 – :
This is a very beautiful vanilla-with-a-hint-of-amber fragrance!
RamZ – :
Just sampled this, been 5 minutes since I’ve had it on.
The amber and vanilla, give the sweetness. Don’t smell the other notes at all.
I find it tacky, sorry but flankers aren’t always good.
Smells similar to little trees vanilla car freshener lol.
alex689ru – :
I will never understand the concept of flankers which are completely the opposite than the original perfume, as I will probably never understand such sweet releases in the summer time.
The original Paradiso is a summery perfume, suitable for warm, hot days, for vacation, for the seaside. Gemma is something entirely different. It’s a very lovely, sweet flowery fruity vanilla perfume. It starts of fruity, sweet, but still balanced, and ends up in an addictive vanilla.
I find it would work best in colder weather, maybe autumn days and evenings. It certainly feels too much in the hot summer but milder temperatures reveal the beauty of it.

What is thiiiiiis…ahh
Would rather like the name Verde di Paradiso or
Jade di Paradiso.

notes sound boring but the bottle color is georgeous!
