No, not really. It’s barely half of what Apple Brandy is.
The Opening is there but it’s like a very very diluted apple elderflower in an odd stale bottle. There’s a very odd , almost dare I say animalic, mixed with plastic synthesiser note in the beginning that is just a no no, I can’t forgive a scent this expensive and promising in it’s whole approach for that.
I’m strange in that I hate booze as a beverage but love it, can’t get enough of it as a base in perfumes, it just works for me and sadly I cannot just do it with these ‘new age’ concept water-perfumes CB has come out with.
Very little sweetness, no sparkle, more worrying there’s no backbone to the apple note with nice vanilla or woods. It’s just like putting the skin or peel of 1 of the red apples in a vat of laboratory water near a drainpipe. Weird
    My rating: 3/10

Not a fan, smells like weak green apple soap someone would have on their bathroom counter.

This was everything my boyfriend wanted. Crisp fresh, true smelling apple is dominate with the wood adding warmth. This is a scent that will appeal more to people who don’t like complex perfume blends but want to smell good. A gateway perfume, perhaps.
It’s also great for layering. My boyfriend (not a fragrance guy) layered it with Hyacinth and the Mechanic before a concert and thought it made a great buffer between the beer, sweat, and weed scents of the audience.

I had big hopes for this one. At the top of my want list is Kilian’s Apple Brandy, which has similar notes. Unfortunately, as a child of the 70’s, this reminds me of an unnatural air freshener type of apple, and I don’t get any of the wood. Bummer.

The dry down is similar to the Wasabi Pear scent. Apple and pear are very close IMO and this crosses both paths. I do like it but not nearly enough to buy a full bottle as I feel that this type of scent can be purchased for much cheaper.

    smells like shampoo ester.

This is a really cute scent. It smells exactly like MacIntosh apple skins, and evokes strong autumn memories of visiting apple orchards, and slicing and peeling apples for pie. I haven’t picked up on the old wooden basket note at all. This is certainly not an everyday perfume, but I’ll enjoy using my tiny sample from time to time when I want something clear and bright.
A strange thing I noticed: I spilled a little on my hand, and the CB water perfumes feel kind of sticky.

I see that this fragrance is available as a home spray and I think I it makes more sense to use this fragrance that way. In fact, that’s what I thought about it when I smelled it the first time. Glad I bought only a decant, but if I did buy it, I would buy the home spray and make my bathroom smell sort of like apples.
