This has almost no scent. What little there is smells like soap. The first blast smells like a weird peppery water then soap. No Gardenia. I bought this since the few reviews it had said it was beautiful & did smell like gardenias. Its garbage. If you have $10 then you better go get Jovans Island Gardenia & not this, at least it has a scent.

SO beautiful! I bought this a year ago whilst in Maui at our resort, it was amongst a good group of Royal Hawaiian scents, but this one stuck out to me on the first sniff. It’s a genuine, big Hawaiian Gardenia.
If you’ve ever been to Hawaii, you’ll notice the HUGE gardenias that line the paths of resorts, nature reserves, and even near beaches. They’re so fragrant, but smell so different to other species of Gardenia. They’re sweet, powdery and so tropical. This is what RH Gardenia smells of. Slightly powdery, juicy and fragrant and SO tropical. It’s to die for. They hit the nail on the head with this one. It conjures up an image of the islands and those who live within them. It’s sunny, bright and free.
I adore wearing it, but it just smells so much of Hawaii it makes me sad! I miss it. But please, if you can get this a test. it’s cheap and a goodie!

Thank you addicted2perfume for the chance of discovering something new to my wardrobe and to my nose! I really like me this one! Who knew!?! It’s a gardenia crown being worn by a hoola dancer who loves her skin and is well protected with a clean creamy smelling sunblock. She is beautiful and does not need to try hard to be anything other than herself. A pretty and welcoming floral scent with a wonderful sunblock vibe to it that will have you feeling like your on the beach on a good day! I’ve layered this over a Nivea body lotion in a white bottle 1 spray of this and then 1 spray of Hanae Mori by Hanae Mori EDP and omg I’m on vacation it’s an intoxicatingly delicious combination you must try it if you have all 3! Thumbs up from me!

Gardenia by Royal Hawaiian smells of crisp gardenias that are a little soapy (like fresh laundry type of soap) and rubbery green leaves that have a menthol quality to them. I personally would not consider this a “true gardenia” scent because the gardenia is synthetic and I get a suntan lotion smell in this fragrance. However, I am not complaining – it is an excellent beach fragrance! I am gardenia lover so I am up for smelling all the different varieties of gardenia fragrances and this is a fun addition to my collection! For the price I could not pass up giving it a try!

The Royal Hawaiian Company certainly doesn’t win any popularity contests….but this one is cheap enough to try out.
This is not for your Gardenia fix ( PLEASE TRY for Jovan’s Island Gardenia).
This is a heady floral mish mosh.
It’s very “white flowers” and strong…… can’t really recommend right now….. First blast out smells like a hand sanitizer. Dry down is a bit nicer.
I doubt anyone will even read this………oh well.
