I used to really enjoy this one (I probably still would, had I not used it up).
I am surprised no one else compared it to bubble gum! The smell of it is like what those first few seconds of chewing on gum taste like. So it is sweet but not overwhelmingly so. Unfortunately the comparison works all too well as, just like gum, it’s gone before you feel like you could fully enjoy it.

This is a very pretty, soft powdery floral. It reminds me of dressing table dusting powder – clean, fresh and glamourous at the same time. I am glad I found this one – it adds another dimension to my fragrance wardrobe.
With regard to the gardenia, I cannot truly say it smells like gardenia; it smells different to the gardenia in my garden. Possibly a bit less spicy and crisper. I will try it in the warmer weather to see – it could be the cold making it appear cold.
It reminds me a bit of Donna Karan’s Cashmere Mist. Pretty, soft, lovely and feminine.
Edit: I wore this in the sun yesterday – it smells like gardenia with green apples.

Oops, I meant to say ET’s Gardenia, not Tuberose, in my review. Guess they really ARE similar.

I picked this up on discount at my local Marshall’s, based upon the reviews here and my love for tuberose, which is close, but not an exact match, to gardenia. I’m very happy with it – ET’s Tuberose is much less loud and garish than, say, Jungle Gardenia by Tuvache (which I probably drove people crazy with by dousing myself in in the 1980s). Even my husband liked it – he usual prefers citrus and gourmand scents on me to florals – although he preferred the dry-down to the topnotes when I initially sprayed it on.

This is NICE! After the light “metal” vibe was gone from the opening (it only lasted for about 4 minutes), I was in gardenia joy, sweet and simple. Scent-wise, sillage and longevity are impressive for the price. A big yes from me if you like prominent gardenia.

This is such an inexpensive hidden gem. I bought my Mom a bottle, last year, and she really enjoys it. A few weeks ago, I went over for breakfast, kissed and hugged my Mom to greet her, and she smelled so fresh and floral. Summertime, she likes to shower before bedtime and sprayed some on afterwards. Omg, it was still on her skin the next morning. That’s saying a lot for the longevity of this fragrance.
If you love Gardenia, this one’s a no brainer.

This is a lovely fragrance. For those that are afraid of florals this one will ease your pain lol. It’s on the fruity floral side. Smells a bit like sweet green grass after the rain with a white garden beside it. (a bit tropical) This is everyday work appropriate. It is long lasting also.

I actually blind bought this after finding it on a discount website, by simply typing Gardenia in. This is sweeter and a little denser than I thought, but it’s simple and wonderful in its own way. There is a bit of an “old lipstick” feeling to it towards the middle and smells a bit like peach skin. Instead of smelling like a fresh gardenia bloom, it’s more like the candied version of it. Projecting rather well, I doubt you need more than two sprays for a whole day. The bottle is very well made considering the price.

After purchasing Johan Island Gardenia and actually loving it (though the longevity leaves a lot to be desired – it is a cologne after all), I decided to purchase this as well. Different than JIG, which is essentially a soliflore, you can smell the supporting cast of other white flowers in this juice, particularly the tuberose, which I experience as the dominant note throughout. While the longevity is better than JIG, it doesn’t last that much longer on me, maybe 3 hours max, which is disappointing because it is an EdP. It’s a lovely, solid white flower fragrance for white flower lovers. If that is you, give it a try!

I tested this today at a department store…At first sniff, I loved it. It smelled pretty and it seemed as if I’d enjoy it on my skin, so sprayed some on my forearm. After about 15 minutes of having it on, I realized I didn’t like it too much. It smells floral, but way too sweet. Super sweet fragrances that have musk in them, make me nauseous and this fragrance eventually made me feel ill. Such a pity because I really love floral scents. Oh well, different strokes for different folks.

Wow this is an Elizabeth Taylor, and I like it! I love the peony and how fresh this gardenia is…sometimes white florals come across as too chemical to my nose like Island Gardenia which I didn’t like at all.
This one is natural, slightly sweet and not harsh or overpowering. Doesn’t have a young vibe( strictly an opinion) but that’s ok. Glad I finally found a Liz Taylor scent I can wear.
    $19.99 not bad.

I blind bought this fragrance…first time that EVER turned out to be a positive! I enjoy white florals, esp. gardenia. Unfortunately MANY if not most scents I like, tend to turn heavy, sometimes masculine & musky on me,WHICH I HATE. Not so with this one! That being said, Gardenia by ET is a very simple, single note floral on me….simply gardenia, no undertones, not complex, but very fresh, clean & soft….yet the scent lingers on my skin much longer than the VERY EXPENSIVE Este L Tuberose-Gardenia.SCORE!!

Full disclosure; I am a lover of white floral scents. And, I really love this perfume. Bonus: I did not spend a fortune, as I have with other scents. If you like gardenias, you will love this. I absolutely love the robust Gardenia I get at first spray in the morning. My only complaint is that the gardenia scent doesn’t stay long on me. Or, at least, I can’t find it. It becomes a much subtler, softer floral. Still lovely and very feminine. At the end of the work day, when my daughters give me a hug, they tell me how nice I smell. So, something about this seems to be working for me.

What REALLY makes this one of my favorites “cheapies” is that they have not really tampered with the formula ! I have older bottles that smell like newer bottles! The older bottles have a pale yellow color to the fluid. The new ones are clear.

I blind-bought it without high expectations, and i am so positively surprised – it is such a beauty! Reading the descriptions that it isn’t creamy, but rather green, fresh and simple, I was almost sure i will not like it much. But i guess there are so many factors influencing our perception of a smell of a perfume. It is not very green to me, and (fortunately) rather creamy! Yes, it can be quite sharp and heady, especially if oversprayed, but it also has that buttery quality that i like.
I agree with those comparing it to Estee Lauder Tuberose Gardenia. They are quite similar. I never smelled Chanel, but there are other good comparisons here already.
Definitely worth trying for white floral lovers
Small edit: The box is very pretty for a cheapie. I think it is prettier in real life than it is in the picture! I don’t detect peony, and orchid is barely there, but carnation is very detectable in the drydown.

  16. :

    5 out of 5

The green notes are so strong, refreshing, greät to have it combined with the actual flower, adding realism. The bottle is magnificent, just as a gardenia’s bush growing shape, the gold nozzle like the flower’s center. This perfume is just so glorious, and special for those who love the flower and cultivate it in their garden. Elizabeth loved it too branding it, ”one of her most personal fragrances”, and saying it would evoke blissful feelings, ”something wonderful is about to happen”. That was the advertisement campaign, I love it, and feel wonderful too. The fragrance comes at a kind price, which makes it such a blessing.

I dont get any gardenia from this. Its, weirdly, sugary sweet on me. Its odd & it doesnt have enough lasting power to interest me. It was completely gone before an hour passed.

  18. :

I purchased this last year and barely touched it for months. Having been to my local gardens and getting a big, creamy whiff of gardenia, I came home with a temptation for this. As I’ve said on my review for Chanel’s Gardenia, the two smell so very much alike. The major difference being price and longevity. This lasts so much longer and has a slightly more chemical smell. This doesn’t hurt the scent at all though. Its neither buttery nor creamy, but is green and softly sharp.
Far from my favourite Elizabeth Taylor scents, but definitely my favourite Gardenia scent that I’ve smelt. I love Elizabeth Taylor and truly believe that this is a valuable addition to her collection of parfums and a lovely addition to any floral perfume lover’s collection. Definitely smells expensive, as all of her scents do. I’m genuinely glad we have all of these beautiful fragrances to remember her by. She was a beautiful, intelligent woman.

I have been searching for a gardenia soliflor, and this is perfect. Very true to the notes in the pyramid. At first I get the LOTV, and after a few minutes, the most beautiful naturalistic gardenia emerges. I cannot stop inhaling my arm. The drydown is sexy as hell. I am impressed with all ET fragrances I have tried lately and can’t believe they are available so cheaply. They are top quality and worth so much more.

I smelled the gardenia, I smelled the green notes, because maybe that is what I was looking for,but the other flowery notes such as peony and orchid want to take over and make it a sweet, nauseating, femmenine disappointment. Smells expensive, its strong as its EDP. I will try to use it as a layering note with a more masculine note on top. The flowery notes like lily, peony, orchid make this..well not gardenia, they want to take over the throne of the gardenia chair and its green note cape and make it a nauseating pink princess who wants to paint the walls pink..those notes destroy what could be an elegant mature, green white flower perfume. I like flowers mixed with strong manly notes and in the end this is what I’ll do, not sure this will work, I may try jovans tropical gardenia instead. The gardenia is there and the green note to make it stand, but those other flowers want to take over, and they do, making it a sick, flowery vomit of flowers. This may work for girls and very femm women who wear pink bodycon dresses, dont over spray or aim too close, its too strong, it will be overkill. Disappointment i’m afraid for me aleast, sorry.Love true gardenias and the green notes of its leaves, they are white, ethereal, strong, almost masculine and pure. I hope this helps, its a very well made perfume, just may not be what I was looking for, it made me want musk, cedar, leather, tobacco and other masculine notes so badly. Too much sweet flowery, pink colors make me sick, and nauseous, its just not my gender or my sexual preference, I tried. I grow gardenias in my gardens…
    Update-
I slept on it and smelled again, the gardenia and green note are there ever present, let the other flowers serve her sweetness and serve the queen indeed. I layer it with musk cologne and the result is a glorious queen gardenia with her musk king and her pink servant girls in the background…This perfume is wonderful, elegant, deep, tender and comforting, one word defines it and its beauty, I will keep it…glorious gardenia. RIP Liz Taylor, the beauty queen herself, a woman of style, elegance, beauty. She also helped fund a lot of aids related causes and for that, I am honored to wear her perfume. I love it, I think its a 10/10, and amazingly perfect for gardenia lovers…
The green leaves notes are incredibly fresh and so noticeable, it should be number two in the notes, the gardenia is sweet and always prominent. It’s an amazing gem, with a kind price tag, this will always be in my closet. Fragrances require time to decipher and experience, do not be hasty to judge.

I have always enjoyed Gardenia, the flowers and the note in fragrances. It is a common note in quite a few of Elizabeth Taylor fragrances. I’m assuming it was a favorite for her to create a perfume around that heady white flower. On me I find it true to the typical in bloom smell. The top is sweet, green, and in full bloom. That sweet, what would be overpowering in full bloom smell dies down into a heart of more a pure white floral dominated by gardenia. The base is a slightly peppery white musk. Its truly divine on me, to be worn when I want that Summer Sweet Garden Blossom smell. White floral and musk works well for me. If it does not or you suffer any sort of allergy I could see how this could possibly turn you off. A 3.3oz can be found in discount stores for the $10 to $15 price range and I think this is a good perfume to utilize to layer as the notes are few.

Although my favorite Gardénia is the one of Chanel. This has everything that I love about it, and more! In fact, sometimes I like it more than that exclusive perfume.
It is green and fresh, but in the winter it can be creamy and as it is kind of a confort smell to me, I want to wear it all the time.
It is soft and invites harmony, but with great duration and fixation.
    I just love it.
The peony, although I do not perceive it very much, gives a unique lightness and sweetness. The green notes help you discover the beauty of the gardenia.
I think it is an excellent representation of this beautiful flower, at an incredible price.
If you like gardenia, or any perfume with this note, this is a MUST HAVE!

Sultry, full-fat glamour like the lady herself. It is similar to Chanel’s Gardenia – but to me, that is silver-cool, haughty and ephemeral while the ET offering is golden, warm and lasts a lot longer. Both gorgeous, though.

I bought this blind at T.J. Maxx for $14.99 and am returning it because I dislike it so much. It does last a long time – I had a hard time scrubbing it off. I didn’t think the scent was floral at all – it smells like chemicals to me and very artificial – like an air freshener. The bottle is very pretty, but this fragrance just doesn’t agree with my nose or body chemistry.

  25. :

    3 out of 5

Very lovely white floral smell, nothing objectioable, good for office or any environment. I limit to one spray or it is too strong. Don’t want to smell like a plug-in air freshener. Nothing against the fragrance, but too much white floral and you start to smell like a room freshener. This lasts a long time.
Update: this makes a great layering perfume. I like to spritz it on top of others frags that need, in my view, a little more floral.

From the ingredient list you’d expect Gardenia to be all about flowers, but not so. I was greeted by a blast of flowers with a heartily dash of fruits. That lasted for a few minutes and then the fruits disappeared, leaving me with an aroma of mostly white flowers. That went on for a while until I started smelling the fruits coming back about 30-40 minutes later. I was going busily about my day and so cannot pinpoint it exactly, but from then on Gardenia presented itself as a happy, albeit linear, mix of fruits and flowers indeed resembling L by Gwen Stefani very much but thankfully lacking its artificial pungency. I used to own a bottle of L.A.M.B. but had to give it away because it was much too cloying. Gardenia on the other hand is quite lovely, it is a powerhouse to start off with, but winds down a bit to more tolerable levels, if you don’t overspray. I find it to be a happy number perfect for summer days.

I finally got around to trying this fragance. When I smelt this it was driving me nuts because it smelt like something I have smelt before and it finally dawned on me it smells just like gwen stefani’s old perfume L.A.M.B ! I do not get gardenia from this at all. I was let down, it is more fruity I was hoping for a gardenia power house but I will stick to michael kors, truth or dare or fracas since those are beautiful gardenia scents, not saying this is a bad fragrance in fact I like it actually its just not what the gardenia I was hoping and looking for. It is rather soft wears moderate.

Just bought this super cheap at Marshall’s. I’m happy I did because it replaces a Gardenia perfume that I gifted my mom that I secretly wanted to keep. That one was by Pacifica, but this smells very similar. I am happy 🙂 So floral and long lasting. Very simple scent. Lasts longer than expected.

tyekristopher: I haven’t smelled the Chanel gardenia but I do have the ET and it’s very nice but I also have Island Gardenia by Jovan and use it more…you should go to the forum and ask how these compare to Chanel, pretty sure a lot of them have it have had all three ☺

As many others, I purchased this at a discount store. I honestly do not remember the price, but I know it was a really good deal for a large bottle. Thinking around $15.00USD for like 3.4 ounces..? Wow…..
As many others, I have seen this in the discount stores more times than I care to remember, and decided to read some reviews. As a white floral lover, I caved. So glad I did!!
This is so pretty!! Yes, definitely gardenia scented. Clean and fresh. Might be a touch sharp to some noses, but to me, it is just all about the gardenia and clean-smelling. Perfect for hot and humid summer days, and we get a lot of hot and humid days here, and my skin reacts best with white florals when the heat and humidity rise.
This reminds me a little of Estee Lauder Private Collection Tuberose Gardenia, but this actually lasts longer. Honestly, if I did not already have EL’s Tuberose Gardenia, I would be perfectly happy to just have this. IMHO they are similar enough that you do not need both.
I do think you have to be a little more careful with how many spritzes you use with this. I find 2 to 3 spritzes, and walking into this mist, is best. Lasts on me all day. If you like gardenia and love a bargain, this is worth checking out. Why I waited so long for this one, I do not know why. Here were are, Summer is over, and I just now purchase this. Oy. But it will still be nice for days I want a clean fresh fragrance. The white floral lover in me will wear this in the dead of Winter. So no worries!! 😉

I recently purchased this at Burlington Coat Factory, it was 12 bucks and they had a security lock on the box, which I found hilarious! The box itself looked a bit beat up, but not a big deal. I really like the bottle design. As far as the scent goes, I was pleasantly surprised! When I lived in San Francisco I would often get fresh gardenia from one of the flower stands downtown, and place them in a small bowl of water. They are extremely fragrant flowers, along the same line as hyacinth with potency, but they are different smelling. This E. Taylor Gardenia is a perfect match to the real gardenia flower, and I mean PERFECT!!! Amazing scent, and at amazing price.

2017. Just bought a fresh NEW bottle today and safe to say; formula has NOT CHANGED in years!
Still pretty strong for $14.99 !
The only difference is that the older juice was a very pale yellow- now the contents is clear.
And in a really nice bottle too!
My favorite “CHEAPIE” of all time !

Smells somewhat like tocca florence… I would recommend if you are looking for something similar. Doesn’t last very long though
    — much harsher than Florence and constantly have to respray …
Thinking of just returning it and getting the more expensive one

I just blind bought this one which was a high risk blind buy considering I hate every Elizabeth Taylor scent I’ve ever smelled due to this old-fashioned powdery smell that I find is common to all of them.
I am pleasantly surprised! It is not powdery!! 😀
It is green floral with a little old-fashioned twist to it, but in a fresh way (Cabotine by Gres and Tendre Poison by Dior style).
    Not bad!

Imagine the first slice of the knife into a very ripe cantaloupe and the smell that emanates from the just-cut fruit. That is what the first blast of ET Gardenia smells like on my skin. It’s not unpleasant, just neither what I expected nor wanted when buying this (to be fair, that’s on me as it was a blind buy). Gardenia does come in some 15-20 minutes later and is lovely, albeit soft and fleeting, as it disappears completely within two hours. Overall, this is not a love for me. I’ll definitely use what I have, but I won’t repurchase.

This is a very luscious floral. The gardenia is held up by the other flowers in a very balanced way. I’ve wanted this sooo long! An easy blind buy for me. It’s in the same catagory as Truth or Dare by Madonna, Jessica McClintock, and Carolina Herrera. This is my favorite out of all of them however, I feel like these type perfumes should be used very sparingly in closed quarters. They pack a punch. Recommended!

    * These are my personal experiences/thoughts with this fragrance. Yours/others may differ. *
Initial – gardenia + lily of the valley
    Drydown – gardenia + musk
    Duration – 5-6 hours
    Projection – moderate
Experiences – Pretty, but doesn’t smell like a natural gardenia. Still, is a good choice when looking for something clean. Better suited to warmer weather; colder temperatures bring out a vaguely chemical vibe.
Quick Thoughts – gardenia, synthetic, soapy

I can be a bit of a snob when it comes to fragrances. But WoW! Elizabeth Taylor’s Gardenia maybe inexpensive. But, it most certainly doesn’t smell that way. It smells much like Aerin Laûder Gardenia Rattan. E.T. Gardenia does have an expensive smell to it. To my surprise/delight. It’s fresh, clean and after an initial blast of LOTV. All I get is lush, deep, creamy, cool GARDENIA, GARDENIA, GARDENIA! Towards the end a subtle soft Amber. Silage is great. Longevity is pretty good. It’s pretty linear. This is a nice, pretty, feminine scent. I just love this one. I really do enjoy it. The bottle is very pretty. As someone else mentioned. The bottle may look a little kitchsy in photos. But, in person it’s a lovely, lovely bottle.
*I actually spray my hair brush with it. My hair always smells clean and of light gardenia.

I didn’t think I would like this as much as I did,it smells so much like Gwen Stefani L (L.A.M.B) its like a buttery-floral experience, its very nice to wear straight out of the shower as its fresh and sweet, usually a very good price too!

  42. :

It’s very good, especially if the price is considered. It smells a lot more expensive than it actually it. However, I am returning this because I already have a bottle of Tocca Florence, which smells very similarly.

  43. :

    4 out of 5

I bought this, yesterday, based on the stellar reviews for this. I picked it up at Marshall’s for $14.99 and it does smell a lot more expensive than its price. It is a beautiful floral gardenia, very reminiscent of Tocca Florence and better than The Body Shop English Gardenia (which leans more Jasmin, which isn’t a bad thing, I love all Jasmin. But when you want and expect Gardenia, Elizabeth Taylor nails it).
Sillage is good for about 45 minutes but fades quickly. On my skin, it was gone in 2 hours. I’m ok with that, some days, I don’t mind respraying. I will probably layer this with Pacifica Tahitian Gardenia body butter. Mmm….Spring is in the air!

    UPDATE- 2017
    ——————–
This is one of my favorite cheapies!
It really smells 4 times more expensive than it is!
For a cheap fragrance – the bottle is wonderfully designed!
WONDERFUL to layer it with Madonna’s Truth or Dare !
PLEASE NEVER EVER DISCONTINUE THIS !

Gardenia and Carnation. I am surprised that people smelt carnation the least. This is not green and not warm, no coconut, this is a fresh floral that lasts throughout the day and does not change to that warm BO like some perfumes do today. I had many bottles of this because I do like gardenia. I just don’t like the shape of the bottle, it sadly reminds me of a coffin.

  46. :

    5 out of 5

I never thought to buy this until now, but I love gardenia and that bottle is lovely. Elizabeth Taylor was a fan of Tuvache Jungle Gardenia, so it’s no wonder that she had her own version created, and since it was made while she was still alive I am sure she had her say in how it was done from the juice to the bottle.

  47. :

    4 out of 5

This is my first Elizabeth Taylor perfume, and I am very surprised by how much I love it! It is a simple, light, clean white floral gardenia perfume that is beautifully blended and non-offensive. It is amazing! And the bottle is beautiful! Works very well on my skin. I think it can be for any age.

  48. :

    5 out of 5

On my skin this is a super lovely fruity floral. Very clean, slightly green and crisp. It smells like a fruit salad garnished heavily with white florals and a couple sprigs of green leaves. I love it in springtime! It’s my go-to when my usual winter scents start feeling a little heavy and suffocating. I get loads of compliments on it… in fact, now that I really think about it, I probably get more compliments on this than anything else I wear.
It doesn’t last long so you will need to respray frequently. Silage is decent for the first half hour but it becomes a skin scent within an hour tops. Hence, the respraying. Honestly though, for 13 bucks, who cares! Use it like a body spray. lol It’s cheaper than a Victoria Secret body spray and smells infinitely better! I think the bottle is gorgeous although I know others do not agree. It looks better in person than in photographs for sure.
Oh, also, if you were a fan of the discontinued L by Gwen Stefani, This is VERY close. I know that sounds bizarre because they don’t share a ton of notes but they really do play out the same on skin. And this one is still cheaper than that was.

There are some great descriptions here of Taylor’s interpretation of Gardenia which is not what you’d expect or find in a typical bottle of this floral. This is lighter. I find this pairs Very well with other gardenia fragrances which seem to bring out even more of Elizabeth’s offering. Tendency is for me to layer this one. For the price you are getting a steal.
That’s the real reason for this “review”. I am thankful to have the entire ETaylor collection. Matter of fact, I am so devoted that I have a NIB (unopened package) of the entire collection as well in my closet. That’s two, full sets of the collection. These are Not typical celebrity offerings. Taylor’s perceived competition was Chanel and CK, not another celebrity. These risk being dismissed too quickly without taking the time to allow any of them to really reveal themselves. So, I feel like some great archeologist discovering these diamonds, rubies, and other fine gems at about 25% the cost of what their real value is.
I have Chanel and Dior and Guerlain and my Elizabeth Taylor fits right in with them. She is also celebrity so bridges a very wide gap between designer and your favorite star.

This is a very green white floral not sweet more earthy almost. I do get a synthetic note that I’m not fully sure how to describe might be the musk. Not a love but not bad!

On me it came also as a green floral, the gardenia less sweet than in the average scents and the aroma more on the green side. I didn’t find it powdery at all, a spring/summery fragrance, light but with good sillage and projection that lasted about 6 to 7 hours. Along with Diamond and Rubies (a spicy peach aroma for me), this is my favorite ET perfume.

Does this perfume have the same powdery note that all the other Liz Taylor scents have?

I cannot believe how great this smells for $13! I am a white floral girl and this was a blind buy because for the price, why not? I was a little worried because I personally don’t like the bottle and I’m VERY influenced by visuals.
When it came, I sniffed it once, then drenched my entire person with the juice. My hair, my skin, and my clothing now smell like I sweat Gardenia and I couldn’t be happier. I don’t like gardenia with other tropical fragrances (coconut, fruit, etc.) and this has NONE of that. It’s all floral.
It smells like spring. You know, after the snow has stopped coming down, the sun has decided to make an appearance again, the ground is soggy from the melted snow, and you’re dressed in your Easter finest. I get both gardenia and LOTV on my skin.
Sillage is moderate (unless you’re like me and bathe in it), and it has a moderate longevity (longer lasting in my hair than on my skin).

As this is a skin-scent — it’s WONDERFUL after a bath or shower! Again- you cannot beat the price!!

Well it took some looking but I finally found this one. I kept reading all the reviews from a this website, and knew I had to add this wonderful fragrance to my collection.
If gardenia is what you are looking for then with Elizabeth Taylor’s Gardenia is exactly what you will get. Gardenia is the reigning flower in this garden which also has orchid, lily of the valley, peony and carnation
The only drawback to this is that it does not last very long. I feel like I have to spray a lot of it to be able to smell it on myself for an extended amount of time. It stays very very close to you if you wear only a little bit. It definitely does not smell like an “Elizabeth Taylor perfume,” who usually has a very long longevity and sillage. But now I have most of her parfumes in my collection. It is very lovely, and I will repurchase until I can’t find it anymore.

I love the bottle with the flower stopper!
Gardenias are my favorite flowers and with a name like Gardenia, and a Liz Taylor perfume to boot, what could go wrong? This is a beautiful and simple floral scent. It’s like floral water, green, aromatic, and fresh, like the scent of actual flowers that are still on cold water at the florist shop.
Gardenia was said to be Elizabeth Taylor’s favorite flower and this is a gorgeous homage to both Liz Taylor and gardenia flowers. This might not be the most realistically recreated gardenia scent. It’s a tad on the chemical side, if you y’all know what I mean, but it’s sweet and elegant. It has a lot of other flowers I like like lily of the valley, peony and carnation. The carnation is green, and like most carnation scents, matches up with lily of the valley and a green note. These “green notes” are nondescript but they smell herbal and shrubby like leaves on a bush.
Also, for whatever reason, this scent is aquatic. It smells like gardenia and water lilies not regular lilies or lily of the valley. It also smells like white flowers that grow around a pond. It’s peaceful, comforting, and easy to wear. It’s clean and doesn’t make a fuss. It’s a good after shower skin freshner. Floral water, floral toilet water.
Now this I can wear to work. Unlike Elizabeth Taylor’s Passion, White Diamonds Diamonds and Rubies & Black Pearls – all of which are heavy duty perfumes- this is a softer more subtle and casual scent, and it does not project much. If you like soft white florals and gardenia, this perfume will scratch your itch.
    Beautiful and “quiet” aquatic gardenia.
    Thanks again Liz

Yes this has gardenia, and yes it has LOTV, and together for me, they small like a really nice green tea as well. Very long lasting and really quite powerful, but that’s totally OK by me because I do like it. But I think one small spray would be enough if you wanted to wear this in a crowded space or office.

I quite like it. On me it is not harsh or too sweet, it is a summery gardenia with musk, don’t feel the lily of the valley at all (which is a pity, since I love the flower and
