Well, this is a tough one as I’m not a fan of fruity frags myself, but I will be objective anyway.
The opening is very powdery to my nose – I get some tangerine and pear presented in a very sweet way.
The drydown gets softer and I can smell quite nice cherry blossom with with peach and only a small sign of magnolia – wish that one was more prominent. Think it would change the fragrance for better.
Sweet, fruity fragrance, good for spring.
Young – definitely, it’s very girly in a teeny way
Sexy – the person who named it this way should look up the meaning of sexy…
Lovely – possibly yes if you wanna go and do homeworks with your bff after school
I believe it has an audience, just I can’t imagine this much on a grown up woman.

This fragrance is safe and somewhat generic. I’d even go so far as to say somewhat shampoo-like. I have the edt version and it’s borrowed from my sister who got tired of it. This is nice but does not give any lasting impression. It could be renamed as Forgettable. I can’t seem to distinguish any of the individual notes. All I get is moderately sweet and generic flowers. After half an hour I can’t smell the fragrance anymore and neither can people around me. This is a pass for me but I’ll wear it for occations and moods I don’t want to really remember like stressful times in my life. I’m not going to use a perfume I adore for those kinds of risky times. In other words, I don’t really care if this perfume enters into my perfume memory reminding me of not so pleasant times as I’d never buy this and don’t consider this worth purchasing. To me this fragrance is the elevator music of fragrances…plus I hate the flimsy cap.

    Yves Saint Laurent YSL
    Young
    Sexy
    Lovely
This fragrance line is known for it’s high quality mature sophisticated perfumes. They have under their belt some unbeatable classics like Opium & Paris. This is as far away from smelling like either of them and more like a delicious sweet fruity floral from a celebrity fragrance line i.e. Paris Hilton or perhaps something like a Victoria Secret fragrance or Bath & Body Works. It’s a delicate, soft scent, so there’s no need to fear it. It really is such a beautiful and feminine feel-good fragrance for the spring and summer months.
On me this is a fresh citrusy floral. In addition to the mandarin tartness of the first spritz, it’s sweetened with peach and cherry (listed as cherry blossom). So it’s definitely a fruity-cherry-peachy beginning. I get a little pear but it’s bigger on peach. If you like peach notes in perfume, you’ll love it. The fruitiness lingers for a while giving it a really nice flowery vibe, nothing heavy. I smell something that could be called a white floral which I’m guessing is the magnolia, and a dainty pink rose, peony and perhaps a white lily. It’s not as floral as it is fruity but the magnolia/peony is clearly there. Smells like really nice floral scented hair shampoo. There is no candy or sugar/gourmand notes in it but it’s still delicious because of the fruit notes.
At the driest stage I detected an elegant light white musk, some cedar and a soap note which could be amber. The amber is polished and clean and turns not to powder but to a kind of soap on your skin your own skin but more fragrant. It’s really well done the performance of this scent but I wish it could last longer. It has a short life of about 3 to 4 hours which is not enough for me depending on where I go. This is a good work friendly office friendly scent so if you’re like a teenager in high school with a part time job this stuff should do. If you’re older and you want to smell good for a few hours in the morning this is also good. Works better in the spring and summer because it’s so fruity.
    Lovely

Even though I am certainly not young, sexy or particularly lovely this scent certainly is. Very pretty, fresh, floral, citrusy & light & perfect for hot summers. I’ll buy it again.

The bottle is exquisitely pretty and elegant, and so is the perfume. It’s very light, sweet, fruity, with gorgeous delicate flowers, and a beautiful woodsy and amber base. It’s very lovely, feminine and awfully pretty. It’s so fresh and delicately juicy, that I feel uplifted in it all day, and get so many compliments. I too, find it’s better on colder days – it’s stronger then, and the flowers come out more, also the amber, cedar and musk, giving it more depth. But even on warmer days it’s lovely, and especially fruity then. I do love it. The longevity is reasonable, but it’s really nice to re-apply every now and then, giving yourself a lovely fresh lift. I think it’s a very precious and lovely perfume. And it does make me feel young, sexy and lovely!!!

Yves Saint Laurent for the young perfumista
The pink bottle & the fruity floral body of this perfume is perfect for younger-than-me girls but I love how this smells and wear it.
This is a delicious fruit scented opening of peach pear & mandarin orange. Smells like fresh fruit, which is also very appropriate for summer time day wear.
The florals are sweet and soapy and consist of rose, cherry blossom and magnolia. The flowers are minimal but that cherry blossom is actually a rose scent.
This is all about the pink colored flowers – a pink rose, a pink cherry blossom and a white magnolia.
The girly sweetness of the summer day fruit is still lingering and keeps this scent fresh and light, never dusty or powdery or too soapy.
This is a good perfume to spritz on my hair as it does smell like it could be the best damn hair spray scent or shampoo (without it being shampoo) though it does match with some of my Suave hair shampoos.
When dry this thing is a lovely light amber and musk.
A clean and very pretty sweet feminine perfume to wear to any place any time. Very easy to wear and easy on the nose.
    Love it!

I suppose if I was selecting perfume for a young girl I’d pick this.
More or less as it sort of smells of something but I doubt anyone would notice it.
It’s a safe enough smell that’s fresh and non sugary, better than some but is so delicate that I only every use it when I am recovering from a migraine and cannot stand much scent but still need my precious perfumes!

It looks like a fake perfume, a bad copy made in China.
    Not very luxurious.
    Not Saint Laurent at all!

Such a sweet and delicious girly fragrance. I rarely buy Yves Saint Laurent fragrances even though I do own the super floral Paris the original vintage. This is as close to smelling like the fruity florals I like as possible. Nothing about it is complex unisex and filled with patchouli green garbage or musk or too woodsy or too spicy. This is just a soft floral with fruity scents of mandarin orange and peach. It smells like my neighbor’s front yard which has an orange tree and where magnolia flowers bloom. I love the magnolia in this scent. Very perfumy and sweet magnolia. It’s also got very noticeable cherry blossom which smells a bit aquatic and soft a tad like a little pink peony. I love all of that. The dry down is clean amber. Nothing crazy about this scent. It doesn’t have to be worn to make a statement. It’s simply sweet and pretty. I love it. Yeah it’s got no sillage and doesn’t last long more of a body mist but while it’s on me smells great. I get tons of compliments. I would say this is appropriate for the day and night but mainly in spring and summer.

    YSL
A light, sweet fragrance that wears like a soft skin scent version of Chanel Mademoiselle. While I’m not suggesting that they smell the same, it’s similar in that it’s a young woman’s introductory designer perfume. If an 18 year old wears this Yves Saint Laurent fragrance she might also get into other YSL fragrances, including 80’s classics like Paris, maybe even Champagne Yvresse or even Opium. I love YSL. It’s also interesting to note how the name of this perfume Young Sexy Lovely contains Yves Saint Laurent’s initials YSL. So this opens with citric mandarin orange, pear and grapes/black currant. It’s also got a juicy peach. Cherry blossom and magnolia are the only floral scents and they aren’t big players. I find that this fragrance is more fruity than floral. Even so the flowers provide a light femininity and headiness. The dry down is only lightly musky and woodsy. This perfume does not last very long. I spritzed it on after a shower at about 8am and it’s gone before noon, so I would say it’s got a duration of at least 4 hours. This is the type of perfume you have to keep in your handbag and reapply throughout the day. Inoffensive, sweet, feminine, innocent, and charming fragrance.

Got this one very cheap at TjMaxx. Sillage and lasting power is zero, smells citrusy for a split second then nothing. Just one of today’s ‘nothing special’ perfumes. Gave the bottle to my 6 year old daughter- totally suitable for her. Nothing sexy in this. Lovely for a toddler.

I bought this in savers for 9.99 blind.I was disappointed when I tried it first in late summer.it seemed a pretty buy non descript fruity floral and I put it to the back of my wardrobe. Got it out today on a whim and for me this comes alive in winter. Got so many compliments today at work and every so often I could smell this wonderful waft of crisp fruity flowers and it was me!
Im 48 So not really young sexy lovely anymore (well not without make up!) But today I truly felt it.for me its a cross between chance eau tendre and DKNY delicious

This is a light and very low sillage fragrance based on flower and fruit notes. It’s feminine and approachable, tipping its hat in the direction of gourmand – sweet but but not overly so.
These friendly notes are tempered by very feint hints of musk, freshness and wood, which add sophistication and take it beyond the soft celebrity fragrance it could otherwise be mistaken for.
On first spray it reminds me slightly of Selena Gomez’s Vivamore, though Vivamore has much more sillage. YSL is more of a skin scent, and is softer and a little sweeter.
I was underwhelmed by YSL at first, because it’s not very strong at all. However, being both generous and patient with it I was pleasantly surprised, especially because its overnight dry-down can be very nice.
Anyway, I’ve ended up falling in love with it and choose it often in the Summer time.
I would love YSL to bring this back in a much punchier version, as it’s a lovely feminine fragrance with nothing to dislike…if you can detect it!

Where was this perfume when I was in high school drowning in a sea of sugar and coconut. This is young and lovely, I don’t know about sexy, but the cedar could lean it in that direction, it’s very soft.
The cedar also gives this otherwise pretty fruity floral some depth. The first spray is a little body splash like, but on the dry down it becomes surprisingly sophisticated. It’s sunny but crisp, a fall/winter day perfume for me.
I think YSL was successful in capturing that youthful chic essence that is drowned out by everything else. It’s very “pretty.”

Another one my mom got for me! Very peachy and the base notes of musk and amber really come out on my skin.
Not a huge silage so I don’t mind spritzing on my cleavage and I love getting that ‘hit’ of it now and again when I sit down or change how I’m standing/sitting.

  17. :

    4 out of 5

Lightly floral fruity perfume. It’s more lovely than sexy in my opinion.
Fresh and modest. A little too modest for my taste.
I think it’s the most modest Yves Saint Laurent scent I have tried so far.
Musk is very intensive for me in this one.
    “Barely there” fragrance.

It’s just amazing how strong and classy this cutie is, despite its sweet, girly, pinkish unpromissing bottle! The name and package may be misleading in that it suggests a ‘teenage only’ stuff, while in fact it is quite powerful and elegant. Only it could last a bit longer, but there’s no big disappointment.

I really love mild scents and so I tried this one….at first I just thought it was ok, but people around me really love the scent of it and i got stopped and asked a couple times about the fragrance, so that’s great. Not too overpowering with just enough ‘fruity-sweetness’ to make it appealing but not tacky. Only thing is is that it does not last long.

  22. :

    5 out of 5

It’s mild, and it’s just love at first smell for me. I’m already on my second bottle. 🙂

  23. :

    5 out of 5

It is real pretty, nice and the base is a bit more warm. , which makes the scent more interesting than all the fruity scents available. It is also feminine and would suit any age almost.
It is what it is called. Pretty. Lovely, young with the YSL touch. Not pretending to be anything else. So if you like at times to wear a pretty soft floral, it is a very nice one.

  24. :

    3 out of 5

Probably the most non-descript YSL ever. It smells fruity, somewhat pleasant and utterly boring. Not something i would love to spray on myself but it certainly is decent and inoffensive to smell on other people.

Loved it! I’m already on my 2nd bottle

  26. :

I am using my second bottle now and it’s so lovely I can’t stop sniffing my wrists 🙂 Definitely a day perfume although I would wear it on a warm, casual night too 🙂

  27. :

    3 out of 5

It’s a boring fruity fragrance, too crisp and sharp.
Could be wore daytime in spring; otherwise would go undetected.
I won’t recommend to buy without try.
I don’t know why this perfume reminds me vaguely of Romance, by Ralph Lauren, with the difference that the just mentioned has a sexier appeal to the nose than YSL.

This is a gorgeous perfume that I’ve used as a go-to and an allrounder for years now. It’s soft and sweet and a little bit fruity – it’s for a bubbly personality, I think. The name is a little bit silly, but I guess you can’t win on all fronts with it. It’s soft and mild enough to wear during the daytime, but serious and just musky enough to wear at nighttime on dates or out with friends.
The only real complaint about it is it never seems to last quite long enough for me, but I don’t mind reapplying. It’s a gorgeous fragrance that will never be out of style for me.

I really LOVED this so much when I first got it. I think I must of gotten a speacial edition or something. Anyways someone actually stole it from me. A year or so later when I puchased another bottle it was not the same. The perfume gave me a headache and just wasn’t what I remembered. Of course, calling to see if YSL changed the formula got me no where. They’re not about to tell anyone such details.
It was a bright fresh sort of fruity sweet, more spring than summer tropical. I remember it had a great sort of daffodail esqe flower aroma to it as well. Definatly some grapefruity/citrus edge to it. YSL was so fresh, such a happy perfume. It really complemented my nature. I miss this one a lot. I hope the creep who stole it has her favorite limited edition perfume she can never ever buy again stolen!!!

I found YSL on clearance for $20. I hadn’t tested it before but for such a cheap price I was willing to take a chance. My first impression of YSL was that is was your stereotypical fresh, clean, floral scent. It does have a “pink” feel to it, as some of the other reviewers have stated (sort of like a mild pink grapefruit scent). YSL is soft, inoffensive and pleasant, but it won’t stand out or leave a lasting impression. It’s not a bad fragrance, but it’s not unique or special either. It’s just a nice scent to wear to school or to work. I will happily wear it for the price I paid, but I would have been disappointed in it had I paid more. The silage is mild and the lasting power is only a couple of hours. You could wear this scent year-round, but the freshness makes it most suitable for spring and summer. Overall, it’s okay, but there are much better perfumes out there.

  32. :

Meh. Nondescript, lovely, yes, generic lovely…boring. I was surprised at the inoffensiveness of this offering from YSL – their frags usually say more…

  33. :

Its not bad. Just a fresh floral parfum, but very very average and tad bit drugstore smelling.. cheapish. I wouldnt spend my money on it. It is not sexy,, but more young and lovely i guess.

  34. :

I like this scent but I certainly don’t love it. I wear it almost everyday because I want to use it up and be done with it already. It’s inoffensive, musky and sweet.
I don’t think it lasts very long and it’s one of those fragrances that you can only smell if you’re sort of close to someone. I went to the bank one day and the teller told me I smelled really nice; very fresh! But that was the one and only compliment I ever received haha
I won’t be repurchasing this scent only because it’s really not memorable and I feel like there are more longer lasting, sexier scents out there.

    Hello,
YSL is very girly, not cheap, flirt perfume.
    Uh i like it..
First time i spray on it it is fresh, makes me feel younger.. than my really AGE. LOL
Sweety, and it just 2-3 hours in my skin. (too bad)
    i like it very much.
    7/10

  37. :

I have a sample and I have to say I don’t like it. It’s a fresh perfume and it bores me – it lacks something that would break the light pink fresh boredom – it lacks originality. Actually I’m surprised the scent was done by YSL brand…
    It isn’t sexy in my opinion… just a nice, non-offensive smell…
Edit: I’ve been wearing the fragrance lately and I have to add that Young Sexy Lovely is good when you want to wear something simple, when you’re tired of heavy or more- difficult- to- wear fragrances or when you don’t know which one to wear. During these days it wears OK – more than OK actually. There’s a great fern note! The fragrance is light pink without heavy amount of sugar added, wears lightly and pleasantly. It IS young and fresh, not sexy, more clean. I can detect something like Nashi pear that together with cherry blossom makes me think about Japan somehow. Definitely not a cheap fragrance but not Chanel’s quality either. If you want the fragrance to be more noticeable, spray more.

  38. :

I love this in winter. In summer it can smell like body odour I know that is a bizzare thing but it just does. I can smell orchid in this but it is very mild. It wafts around me all day and never bothers me. I find I can spray it on go out and forget about it and smell it all day. I think the musk amber a cedarwood help to smooth the fragrance so it is fresh without screeching and it is fruity without turning sticky or smell like a cocktail. Any age can wear this because I really don’t think it is childish. It is no match for Samsara or any of those perfumes because it is not trying to be that. If that is what you are looking for then this just has nothing to do with it. It is a little romantic you could wear it on a date or anniversary or nice dinner with someone but also it can be worn to any event. I will re purchase this when I run out and I feel young and carefree whenever I spray it except in summer but that’s just me!!

the reviews dont give this perfume justice. I LOVE IT. reminds me of guess gold or perhaps escada. but in a sweeter version (not vanilla sweet) and more adult preference age around 22 to early 30s. it has the soft, fresh, warm, flowery and SEXY SWEET smell. i bought it as a birthday present for my sister-in-law and i think my brother fall in love with her every time she puts the fragrance on. i just can tell how he looks at her when she passed through. oh la la. sensual. she LOVES it, my mom loves it, my cousin loves it and I LOVE IT, what more can i say. you be the judge

I am writing this review while sniffing the sample sheet. Well, its 60% fruity and 40% floral to my nose. It is sexy but in a girlish way. This perfume is like a more fruitier version of Hugo Boss or Gucci Envy to my opinion. It gave me same powder level.
I definitely suggest this perfume for winter though. Yes, it is a light one but it has pear in it and I can strongly smell it. Pear based fragrances doesn’t smell good during humid hot summers. It tends to smell like perspiratory glands during summer and please don’t ask me where I got that idea :*
So I recommend this for winter. Maybe also because it gave me the feeling of expecting snow 🙂
Durable, come on its YSL 🙂
    Overall, I like it. I give 6.5 over 10.
Mindnote: Smells like J’adore… Pear adds a very distinct feature

Just visited the perfume shop and sprayed some on my wrist. The first emotion was ok, but as said before, nothing special. There’s something so familiar, so usual.
Now I can still smell it and I like it a bit more than the fist sniff.
It would be a nice everyday perfume, suits for office, school etc. It’s very delicate.
Although it’s nothing special, it’s possible I’d buy it for reasonable price just to wear when I want a safe, delicate fragrance.
    UPDATE:
Bought it for a bargain price and I’m very satisfied. This is exactly as I said: safe and delicate and this is what I need. I cannot wear anything too notable at work, but this is pleasant and quite clean. I also love the bottle and the name of the fragrance. Well, who doesn’t want to be young, sexy and lovely :). For me it’s LOVELY, but only very slightly sexy.

  45. :

    5 out of 5

Pretty and delicate, inoffensive yet unoriginal. I’m a little disappointed in Young Sexy Lovely. Yves Saint Laurent usually comes up with interesting and in some ways, unique fragrances. However, in this case, Yves Saint Laurent played it safe.
It is neither too fruity nor too flowery, it’s a nice balance between the two. Young Sexy Lovely is yes, young and lovely, but definitely not sexy. Flirtatious maybe would have been a better choice.
The scent from the opening to the drydown is very soft and intimate. Pear, peach, cherry blossom, magnolia and musk are the most dominant notes to my nose when I smell this fragrance.
In my opinion, this would appeal to a relatively young audience, age 13-20. It’s nice in a casual, everyday use, inoffensive sense.

  46. :

On me this fragrance smells most of all the cherry blossom note and the pear note. Light enough and sour. I usually like fragrances by Yves Saint Laurent, but not this one because it smells simply.

Light, likeable and soft fruity smell. Would be good for summer or teens. On my skin cherry blosson, pear and later musk were most detectable. If you can get it discounted – great, but otherwise I dont think it is worth the money, as the smell is quite ordinary for YSL and the price.

The nicest thing of getting older is that some perfumes don´t fit with your age anymore, they say, so you have to discover a whole new smelly world.
But I think it is the perfume that changes caracter when an elder person is wearing a perfume made for youngsters. It gives the perfume that special effect that tells me that that person is willing to conform her(him)self with the youngsters. And so on and so on, and so on. Young sexy lovely is a very young and what I call fresh and clean smell. It sure is lovely but as a 60-plusser I woud say in stead of being lovely it reminds my of early mornings in spring- and summertime. Talking about sexy well that is lovely but for that purpose I would use a more sweet fragrance. But in every way, the fragrance, colours of the package,
the form of the bottle and even the lid
is very refined and conform the presentation of the scent, Young Sexy Lovely.

I got a 7.5ml bottle of this perfume. It has a young, fresh and fruity smell. Not sexy enough though. I tried to wear this fragrance once and I really couldn’t stand it on myself. Too sweet and fruity. Suitable for young teens – and those who want to feel like young teens!

This perfume is a nice fruity and fresh perfume, i knew many other which have a similar smell, but its still nice. The lasting power is good and i think it work fine as spring or summer scent. But it doesnt convinced me that much to buy it.
The bottle is really cute in this soft rose and the heart in the middle, a very modern girl perfume.

Young.Sexy.Lovely This one stays close to the skin. I wouldn’t say it’s young exactly.. maybe young as in older than 20 type of young. It is elegant, gentle, quiet and shy scent. The initial spray gave me a splash of green floral with a little bit of fruits blended in. However the dry down comes quickly in like 2-3mins and becomes lightly woodsy and stays that way. The lasting power isn’t super great. Like I said, it stays close to the skin. Somehow, the dry down part of the woods smells exactly like the original Puma woman. Not super special.

I like it, it’s pretty sweet but not overly sweet. It reminds me of Mariah Carey M which is overly candy sweet. I’ll have to try it again before I descide if I want it or not. From my memory, it’s not exactly fruity, just sweet and a little flowery.

Are there any similar fragrances to compare it to? I am probably going to buy it, but I don`t have a chance to test it.
Are the base notes intense? Is it very sweet?

Nice, pleasant, light, ‘pink’, young & lovely, but not sexy. Familiar fruity-floral scent, reminds me of something I already had. But, it is the best among those popular ‘Barbie’ fragrances.
