Hmm…well, no surprise that this doesn’t smell in the least like a gardenia. So, if you are wanting a perfume that does that, then this is not it. However, if you want a light, summery fragrance that smells of fresh pear ( I know that note is not listed, but that’s what comes through quite strongly ) with a pleasant green, peppery evergreen note ( another note not listed, yet very evident ), then this will do nicely. The woody notes do appear later on, although somewhat light and watery.
