This is okay, but it isn’t for everyone. I have a rollerball from a set, and I’d probably give it away.

Addendum: for some reason Fragrantica has left out almost all the notes! On the Pinrose website it says Garden Gangster has top notes of lime, Italian bergamot, mandarin; heart notes of freesia, hedione, apple blossom; base notes of white musk and cedarwood.

On me it lasted from the time I put it on in the morning until I went to bed at midnight. Very masculine smelling on me, like a classic eau de cologne. A man who likes fresh classic citrus scents could pull this off. Very similar to how I wear Mandarine Glaciale by Atelier Cologne. Lots of lime and mandarin orange peel. I don’t like to wear these type of scents on very hot days though. They turn cloying on me very quickly.

Cute name – this came in a petal pack (towelette samples) from the brand. I found this to be a bitter citrus. I think it was the bitterness that I found most off-putting – just not my thing.

What’s funny is that although I definitely got the lemon and lime zing at first, I could also smell a green, grassy undertone. The more it wore on me, the more the grassy scent came into play. Now I’ve got this fantastic fresh cut grass and faint citrus zing thing going on. I haven’t been as much of a fan of Gap’s re-do of Grass (they added sweeter notes and less grass and soap smells), but this is very close to the original Grass. Who woulda thunk it? Fragrance is so subjective, and I know a lot of people did not like either incarnation, but I’m so excited to have finally found a super close match to a signature scent that has been with me for years. This is clean, uncomplicated, earthy, and bright. Need it.

Very lemon-y. I tried it in the wipes. It didn’t last long. Nothing special to recommend it.
