not my favorite, nor particularly original. citrus notes here are suffocated by overly-harsh white florals (jasmine and lily of the valley are a dangerous duo in my opinion). i couldn’t catch any of the softer florals like peony or iris. Base notes are pretty nice once it settles, but nothing special. Just smells like my mom on a sunday in the nineties.

For me the strongest note is orange blossom, its a clean fresh citrus, with something that adds a note of sophistication and interest. Can be worn daily. Some fragrances trigger headache for me, but this one is well tolerated. Just a joy!

Strong, sweet, best for winter.

Nice and perky, but nothing special.

Delicious citrus fruity, a beautiful tangerine, a nice change from citrus colognes and aldehydic fruity/berry scents. This is almost as good as drinking tangerine juice, really, it’s very refreshing and pretty.
Again Fragonard’s top quality ingredients are evident. The patchouli is smooth, the florals are excellent, the verbena is just a touch, and it’s all blended very nicely – it’s a symphony for tangerine. Becomes a powdery blend of all the ingredients, close to the skin, but lovely. Lots of wrist-sniffing.
I’m wearing this first on a winter day, but I’ll be fascinated to see how this works in summer – which notes are more prominent then.
Another excellent Fragonard scent – really, I have yet to find one I don’t like!

Ugh… So sad that these fragrances are not diferenced in Fragrantica – EDP and EDT. They are kind of totally diferent!
EDT for my is quite plain but EDP – Oh my Godness!!
It’s France in the bottle.
Sexy, chic, still elegant, wearing red lipstick and black dress with is somewhere see through.
And a hat, yeah, a hat!
She is sitting and drinking coffee, talking to her boyfriend, flirting, laughing, then spilling some of his wine. Again laughing, taking her boyfriends’ glass of wine and drinking it empty.. but in very feminine and quite shy way. 🙂

Based on EDT concentration.
The opening of Fragonard Frivole is sweet, bracing, creamy tangerine. The patchouli can be detected from the beginning, and anchors the fruity floral blend throughout. But it’s ever so gentle and polite, and doesn’t form the ubiquitous sugary fruity-patchouli accord so easily.
After about 20 minutes, the floral heart emerges. The different nuances of lily of the valley, peony and jasmine can more or less be perceived. However, the overall effect is a tender, seamless blend of these three flowers, with a gauzy veil of iris. Afterwards, the fragrance gradually turns into a skin scent of vague, gently powdery sweetness.
The sillage of Frivole is relatively close and the longevity is around 6 hours. Frivole is a lighthearted fruity floral, but definitely not frivolous. A lovely little number for casual wear in warm weathers.

This is my first perfume from Fragonard.
Less than a year ago I had the opportunity to test them, and since then – I’m still thinking about them.
This lightweight mix of citrus combined with peony checked both in the sun and rainy days.
Perfect for romantic moments.
Ideal for special occasions.
Ideal when you want to emphasize your femininity.
Perfect when you want a laid-back feel.
Ideal when you want to feel young at heart.
This is an amazing scent.
Happy, playful, energetic, flirtatious and seductive.
It is directly and gentle.
This fragrance has a summer nature. This fragrance is perfect for any occasion.
I love it.

Most of all I feel the light color peony note. Intensive floral peony fragrance! Like a huge bouquet of them on an orange color citrus background.
I like it!:)

Definitely for citrus lovers. Very nice fragrance for hot weather despite its lack of originality.
Frivole is uncomplicated, fresh and clean: a juicy lemon and orange combination with just a hint of delicate flowers to make it softer.
I love the patchouli warm base. But in Frivole the patchouli is very light, not as powerful and earthy as in Coco Mademoiselle or Chance. That is why I prefer Frivole.
My only complaint is about longevity and sillage.

Beachy, sunny, and fresh but not so original. Too citrusy, not for me.

I love this! True perfume for a new era. Early nineties I was impressed with simple fresh scents that were contrast to powerful and complicated (spicy, strong, layered) perfumes of the eighties… (I remember wearing original Poison and people turning heads, to see who smelled so strong and very original, for that era…). After all these extremes, in 21st century I had a hard time finding a perfume that was interesting, but not overpowering. Frivole beautifully fills that gap. It starts with a gentle burst of citrus, then develops into beautiful white flowers. Very feminine, not too “girly”. The drydown is nice and still very interesting (musc and patchouli). The only complaint I got is: it is so gentle, I have hard time noticing it… and have to bring my wrist to nose to be reminded of its beauty. I bought 30ml perfume bottle. That’s a perfect size for my purse, so I keep renewing the perfume through the day. I will definitely buy it again… 🙂

Just got a sample of this one yesterday and it looks like I’ll be adding another beautiful floral from Fragonard to my wish list. Frivole is a gorgeous scent, more floral than sweet as the fruits here are citrus. The heart is a seamless floral blend where none of the three powerhouse flowers takes dominance. The best part is the gorgeous dry-down of iris and patchouli, which gives a warm, slightly woody quality to the final stages. Moderate sillage but the longevity even from my little sample towelette was excellent at 7 hours. Perfect daytime scent for warm weather!

ahhh so fresh ,clean and uplifting. the citrus, lemon and mandarin is so well mixed whit the lily off the valley. making it feal like a day walking in the forest smelling Lily off the valley in the sunlight, there is a slight hint off peonys , and a twist off patcholie . but not that prominent on my skin. the Iris .. yes a little touch, but not much.
This is such a nice little bright thing. it makes me think a little bit off Hippy fizz Moschino. but this is more mature and softer , more well blended .. but whit the citrus its a bit similar, at least down the same street 😉 This would be a realy nice summer feal off a fragrance jummy
