Description

Love2Love is a new fragrance collection coming out on Valentine’s Day, 14th February of 2014. The collection consists of four fragrances, each of which combines two dominant notes. Those fragrances are: Fresh Rose + Peach, Jasmine + Sparkling Mimosa, Freesia + Violet Petals and Orange Blossom + White Musk. The collection has been announced as “a spectrum of colors that express a woman’s joy and sheer happiness”.

Freesia + Violet Petals is a scent of elegance and sensuality. It opens with a blend of peach blossom, lavender and lily, which lead to the heart of freesia, rose and violet. The base consists of sheer musk, heliotrope and cedar.

Bottles come in the colors of lavender, orange, pink and green. The fragrances are available as 100 ml Eau de Toilette plus 240 ml Body Mist.
Freesia + Violet Petals was created by Sophia Grojsman and Bruno Jovanovic.

I am quite late to the Love2Love party!
I came across this line on the website where I typically buy all my fragrances and was intrigued by the notes, reviews, and price. Even more impressive was learning who the (famous) noses are behind each of the fragrances.
They are cheap/affordable but don’t smell cheap at all. As others have mentioned, a perfume doesn’t have to be expensive for it to be beautiful, sensual, and worthwhile.
Only the Freesia + Violet Petals and Orange Blossom + White Musk were available at the time of purchase, so I bought both.
Grojsman and Jovanovic (the noses behind this scent) are behind other fragrances that I own/have owned/love, so it’s no surprise that I fell in love with this particular scent.
People are right on the money when they describe this lovely scent as delicate, clean, fresh, ethereal, and airy. There’s something about it that evokes an upbeat energy in me every time I use it right after showering and moisturizing my skin. I’m starting to think that this might have something to do with the freesia note, which I have come to love in other fragrances I recently purchased.
Love2Love scents are well suited for Spring and Summer weather, though I can see myself wearing the Freesia throughout the year. I love this scent more than the Orange Blossom.
This fragrance is perfect for the office, especially if you work in environments where people are sensitive to perfumes. It’s very soft and sits close to the skin. To make it last longer, I actually ended up layering it with a different/stronger fragrance with similar notes just because the longevity and sillage are not that great.
I don’t get “woodsy” or “musky” with this scent but can smell all the other notes. They are so well blended, that (for me) there isn’t one note that starkly stands out above the other. They all work in concert with each other.
Based on my experience with the two I purchased, I decided to buy the others in the line and should be receiving them in about 2 weeks.
One thing I’d like to note about this line, and in particular, this Freesia scent: I find myself reaching for it every day. I have many perfumes and typically use a different one each day. But since receiving Love2Love, this is all I’ve wanted to wear for about 3 weeks. That’s saying something.
I can’t wait to try the rest in the line and see whether this scent will remain my favorite.
I would definitely repurchase it (which I should probably do since it looks like they’re discontinuing this line).

This is officially the only Grojsman scent I love. The syrupy peach and heavy/heady florals so present in so many of her older scents just don’t float my boat. This however is a beautiful light floral concoction that combines a new floral favorite of mine (freesia) with lovely purple florals and a musky ceder base. The silage is great yet this has an airy/ethereal quality that I just adore. This is the scent of a faerie garden. The most magical thing of all is I paid only 4.99 for a huge bottle of this lovely stuff at Big Lots

Fresh and lovely! Instant mood-lifter. When I wear this it gives me the insane thought: why don’t I sell all my other perfumes and wear this forever? Lol. I would never but that’s what this scent does to me. The softness of the floral blend with freesia makes for a spunky, happy and bright perfume, but still soft airy lift.
There are no fruits listed but I think peach blossom gives it a fruited juicy lush quality too. A tiny nip from cedar gives such personality. What’s not to love? For the price I think it’s crazy NOT to try it.
This smells sooooo good. Some excellent noses came up with this.
Ps if you like these, they have quite a few at Big Lots heavily discounted. People just don’t know what they’re missing! Longevity on fabric is crazy good.

Now I recently discovered these gems at my local department store and at first I thought this one was the one for me. Though a bit linear in its floral composition, it is well integrated and last about four hours on my skin from the first spray, then it settles to a skin scent thereafter.
However, I noticed that as it settles and dries on me there is a medicinal quality and I really can’t discern why. It’s not offensive, quite clean actually and I am really mystified whether it is the lavender or the rose that is the culprit, for since I use rose water I know it can have a herbaceous quality, or perhaps its the interaction of the two that smells that way.
Overall, these Edt scents are versatile and good for the price. Its better than many exclusive Edt brands and celebrity edt scents. They are an excellent buy and the bottles are quite pretty. Lovely! lovely! lovely!

Received this as a gift in a small 11 oz EDT! I’m honestly pretty impressed with this as far as cheap fragrances go. It lasts longer than a lot of the EDT’s I own. It’s a very pretty floral scent with some depth. I really like it so far! I smell the violet mostly. It’s a nice clean, calming violet, instantly lifts my mood and makes me feel fresh like I just put on deodorant or took a bubble bath. It’s excellent for the price! <3 <3
    Scent itself: 7.5/10
Longevity: So far, 3-4 hours on me with about 2-3 sprays
    Sillage: Soft
Would I repurchase? Yes! *two thumbs up* 🙂

This is a really nice scent. I like that they have some lasting power on the skin. So many “mists” I have purchased are gone after 15 minutes. This lasts a decent amount of time on my skin. On recommendations here, I bought at our local walmart so the price is quite low for a quality product. It is the second one I have bought and I plan to buy them all. Perfect for spring or summer wear.

To me this is a straight up floral and a really nice one at that. The notes that stick out the most are rose and earthy mossy notes. It isn’t woody or musky at all. I really like this perfume but it’s really watered down and doesn’t last that long on my skin.

Beautiful scent! Very delicate perfume. I fell in love with this scent, its so very Pretty. I am using this exclusively for diy sachets for my closet and lingerie drawer. I think it’s just lovely!
    edit:
this scent would fit in well with fragrances by crabtree&evelyn. Just has that delicate quality like much of their perfumes.

A more powerful, sharper version of Lilly Pulitzer Wink and a little Squeeze. I really don’t pick up a lot of violet in this. Almost venturing into Bright Crystal or Ungaro Party territory in the dry down. Lovely, but I like the Orange Blossom one the best.
Update: It seems they’ve discontinued the Orange Blossom and replaced it with a Bluebell one that smells like True Faith Hill.

I LOVE the combination of freesia and violet, and this perfume smells fantastic. It’s why I bought it…..too bad it has virtually zero lasting power. It’s a shame because the scent itself is pretty darn good.

This is an ideal light/fresh perfume for spring, or for anytime you need to refresh yourself and get revitalized.
Freesia & Violet Petals by Love2Love is a sweet, musky fragrance which is young at heart.
This perfume is indeed good for the price.

Old fashioned face powder like! I already have too many perfumes, however, I could not stop brought this one

I was very curious about this new line and I went out and bought all 4 fragrances. I was pleasantly surprised by the Freesia and Violet Petals since I thought I would like this the least. I love the scent of Freesia balanced by Cedar. It’s fresh, floral and woodsy. It reminds me of JS I Fancy You and PH Tokyo fragrances. It doesn’t last long but I think it probably has the best sillage of the 4.

I got a sample of Love2Love’s Freesia and Violet Petals to try out and I like it a lot. It’s got a very strong cedar note that balances the florals and kind of reminded me of Fendi, but a lot more girly than Fendi. It smells like something Crabtree & Evelyn would make, or maybe Caswell-Massey.

I was so intrigued by this line of perfumes because they’re created by some of the world’s top noses/perfumers. I think this one was created by Sophia Grojsman (read that somewhere, page 60 of Allure April 2014). The idea was to create a collection of perfumes for a low price, and these do smell really good. I honestly cannot tell the difference between them and the many others at a department store counter. Not incredibly complex, but they don’t smell cheap or full of alcohol.
