It smells very natural, like a garden at dawn on a summer day. Athough it is truly well composed and pleasant, it is quite generic and boring, with no performance whatever. Maybe, I just don’t like such lite fragrances. I would characterize it as rustic, suitable for a boy from a French rural area.

The OLFACTORY PYRAMID for this fragrance is wrong, this is what’s specified on the official fragonard website:

Le Bel Inconnu
Senteur 10/10. Ce parfum est une merveille en ce sens qu’il est totalement original et paraît d’emblée doté d’une vraie personnalité. En fonction du temps qu’il fait, telle note ressort plus que d’autres. Ce sera tantôt le cuir (par temps plutôt chaud), tantôt les épices (par temps plus froid, mais des épices très douces, pas du tout agressive (en ce sens, ce parfum me semble plus portable et plus équilibré qu’un Burberry, par exemple). Me semble idéal en automne, au travail par exemple : son sillage est relativement discret mais il possède cette originalité qui me semble appréciable pour une telle circonstance : vous êtes différent sans vous imposer. C’est jusqu’à présent le meilleur Fragonard pour hommes que je connaisse.
Longévité 1.5/2 modérée. Ne tient pas tout une journée, juste 5 heures. De quoi porter sans problème autre chose, s’il y a lieu, en soirée.
Sillage 1.5/2 Correct pour l’usage qu’on veut en faire : un parfum de bureau, un des meilleurs dans sa catégorie ?
Masculinité 1,5/2 C’est amusant parce que je lui trouve presque un côté féminin : c’est comme s’il tentait de montrer tantôt un côté féminin (avec quelque chose de fruité, comme un chewing-gum), tantôt masculin. Parfum imprévisible !
Evolution. 3.5/4 Il tend un peu à se tasser et il ne dure peut-être pas assez longtemps, ceci étant, entre temps, que de choses il nous fait voir ! Que de paysages, il nous fait traverser !
Total 18/20 Chef d’oeuvre surprise !

I’d like to clarify that this is a men’s fragrance. It is quite citric at the beginning, obviously the bergamot note and yet it remains on the skin but becomes warmer after few minutes. It’s a fragrance that lasts quite well on the skin and is suitable for summer and winter !
