Description
Forever is a floral fragrance from Mariah Carey, which is presented to market in September 2009. Its main theme and composition represents Mariah’s moments of happiness. Her wedding, a new album from the beginning of September and a new movie from November 2009 are surely a great motive for joy and good mood.
The Forever fragrance is developed in the cooperation with the perfumer Olivier Gillotin from Givaudan. It is a modern and opulent floral rhapsody, opening with neroli, lotus and green apple. Innocent and pure notes are supplemented with accords of tuberose and gardenia at the heart, while the base consists of sensual white musk and exotic wood. Combining notes of white flowers in this fragrance, its creator wanted to create sensual femininity and glamour…
The bottle is designed in art deco style, made of crystal with a golden bottle neck that has the name engraved in it. The outer package is colored pink with a golden edge on the box. Forever will be available as 30, 50 and 100 ml EDP, as well as 15 ml pure perfume and 200 ml body lotion.

I never believe in celebrity fragrances and was disappointed by Inseparable / Honey from this house’s. but as I am a super LAMB, I decide to give it a more try with blind buy and wow! What’s a surprise here!
Forever starts with Neroli and quickly vanishing while cuddling by the Green Apple, Gardenia and something Patchouli which completely Feminine. The bottle also elegance by design.
In my opinion as I am a MC huge fan . This fragrance reflects all perception, movement and personality of hers. Imagined you can get the sillage when she’s appeared.
8/10 for all of this projection. Additional suggestion before your blind buy. Find her sane name’s song, listen closely. That song can describe how great of this one!

I love this. I always get compliments when I wear it. I wear it to work and it hasn’t offended anyone. They often comment how pretty it is. The sillage is moderate. It is so sweet and fresh. This isn’t necessarily a “man attractor” but it just smells pretty. Like a pretty woman with pretty clothes who is always put together. This was my signature scent for a long time and I did not get any sour or bitter out of it. It’s really affordable and perfect for daily wear. I mostly smell the musk and gardenia in this and it is lovely.

Florals aren’t very heady and heavy in forever but they’re not too light and watery either.it’s not a bitter,old floral scent,not a supersweet,gourmandish modern one either.it has a natural delicate sweetness and is classic white floral with modern twist,something wearable forever and truely ageless.it feels clean but isn’t cold and detergent like.most clean fruity scents brings shampoo to my mind,while clean florals make me think of soap.forever is no exc sometimes bringing shampoo,sometimes soap to mind but these sometimes happen rarely I can’t call it a really shampooyee or soapy scent,maybe because of it’s warmness.I like the contrast and balance of soft,creamy and sharp,crisp notes in it.
Forever isn’t terribly unique,it’s most important advantage is being wearable and likable for a wide range of people.I was waiting for a Musky drydown but it didn’t happen.I can’t pickup strong musk or other base notes.there’s just a hint of them just to deepen apple-floral combo and make it warm.ofcourse after wearing it couple of times I may be able to pick up base notes too
when I asked my man’s opinion about it I was waiting for something like:not bad,it’s OK,one out of twenty,or even thirty perfumes receive a very good comment from him,I was very surprised to see forever is one of them.he said:this perfume is lovely!feminine and beautiful.right amount of everything.I think you can wear it alot in spring and summer.I agree.it’s wearable for work,date,for going out with friends,as a daily pick me up perfume and it appears to be a crowd pleaser if used in right amount.it’s not very strong on me,not weak either.I used my usual 6,7 sprays and it didn’t seem to be too much but unlike some other fruityflorals,one can’t use it like a body spray and douse herself in it.I didn’t check time but I know that it lasted +5 hours,sillage being moderate

I have this in the perfume version and it is a very elegant smell. It is not your normal sweet and fruity fragrance but rather one that is appropriate for work and formal events. It’s not your everyday fragrance. I use this sparingly. The bottle is beautiful and it smells like apples, floral, and musk. The apple saves it from becoming a perfume your grandmother would steal from you.. The tuberose stands out in it above all other notes, in my opinion..

What a delicious, fresh tart apple Forever has. There is a really nice balance of sweet, juicy green apple and white flowers like gardenia and tuberose which are so creamy. Musky, clean-soapy dry down.
This is one of the few perfumes that has grabbed my husband’s attention! This one and Paris Hilton’s Tease, which both have apple plus white flowers as dominant notes. I think I like this better, though.
-But this perfume is a changeling, too!
After 2 hrs it changes….
Now if I could just figure out why I’m smelling something that reminds me of SJP Lovely in the drydown phase. (this part lasts hours) I think the only notes they share are musk and patchouli. This has good longevity- it is a love!

I’m still on the fence about this fragrance. looking at the notes and accord, i think this could work for me since i have a very good chemistry with white flower notes.
but i’m not sure what went wrong, i didn’t have a feeling that i can like this one. the only way that i can wear it is by layering it with Victoria Secret Body Butter (Passion Struck). After i spritz the fragrance on top of the body butter, only then i think the perfume is wearable.

Forever by Mariah Carey is one of those fragrances that I got constantly complimented about it while wearing it. Very feminine perfume, apple adds fruity fresh feeling while gardenia brings sweetness to the composition. Very impressed with the staying power too. I like the bottle even though is not pretty handy as the cap was always falling off. Try it and hopefully you will enjoy it as much as I had.

This is lovely – I bought a small gift set after reading positive reviews. EDP came with a small parfum, darker in colour and slightly smoother/richer.
Fresh apple dominates over white flowers. The musk keeps is warm and clean. Long lasting and moderate/strong sillage. People notice it!
Lots of compliments and nobody suggested it was a female scent.
If I like something I wear it…

By the notes of this fragrance, I honestly thought it would smell like Jennifer Aniston Lolavie with tuberose added. It is beautifully fresh like Lolavie, but they do not smell similar like I thought they would.
Anyway…
This fragrance smells really good. Smells very fresh, the apple is in the front seat of this fragrance and everything else listed (Gardenia, Lily Of The Valley, Tuberose) are all in the backround but most definitely playing their part in the overall scent. I love it. The only thing listed that I get absolutely none of, would be the patchouli in the base notes. I do not detect any patchouli. (Side note : I also love the bottle!)
Anyway, this smells great! And I’m really tired of the bad reputation that celebrity scents get. I’ve bought dozens of them that have VERY impressive lasting power, this being one of them for sure. I never get anywhere less than 5 hours with this fragrance and you can buy a big bottle of this stuff for $20 at TJ Maxx or Ebay. If I’m heavy handed with it and the temperature/weather is warm but not hot, I can actually get up to 7 hours with this.
Also to note…I’ve gotten LOTS of compliments with this. I work 2 jobs and several people at both jobs are constantly telling me when I arrive to work how good this one smells and asking me what it is.
I personally think of all of Mariah’s fragrances that she’s created thus far (and I’ve owned about half of them)…this one smells the absolute best. Deff my #1 Mariah fragrance. I normally only wear this for half of the year in the warm weather from about April until end of September but during those months, I get alotttttt of use out of it.
Longevity – 5-7 hours depending on how many sprays I use. I’ll give it a 8/10
Sillage – Deff several feet for the first couple hours. I’ll say 8/10
Scent Itself – 9.5/10
Overall Rating – 9/10

Very pretty, sweet, buttery apple and bright white flowers. It’s fresh and innocent and still distinctive. Beautiful and uncomplicated. I think that is the very reason why it does not suit me!

On the downside. the apple smells to me a bit fake, like a sugary plasticapple, and I wish Forever were more potent.
Despite that, the buttery plasticapple and the luminous white flower are perfectly paired, and join seamlessly with soft soapiness and sweet vanilla in the drydown phase. Though it’s not for me, I wear it sometimes, just on the offchance I’ll rediscover something I lost a long time ago.

I’ll make it simple; this is Jlo’s Glow with a splash of green apple. They both have neroli, sandalwood, musk and white florals. Somewhere along the lines, the soapy quality kicks in for both fragrances, and Mariah Carey’s Forever provides exactly that.
FOREVER’s drydown doesn’t offer a vanilla or powder-like trail like Glow, but instead a constant, clean, fruity freshness. The soapyness totally embraces this perfume as it never fades.
The sillage is great, lasting power is magnificent. From morning to night, I get whiffs of this fragrance as I go about my day. Only two sprays (it’s a very strong perfume!) for me and I have my own, personal cloud showering me with what seems like a waterfall fruity cleanliness.
This fragrance is elegant, but it not overtly classy. I can easily wear this everyday. I will be purchasing another bottle of this. <3

I normally can’t handle white floral and tuberose. This was a blind buy and I didn’t look up notes before hand. On initial spray it is quite strong but mellows down after about 20 minutes, then it is a beautiful scent. I’m not good at picking out and describing notes but I believe this is well blended. I’m going on hour 3 and it is still going strong. I agree with those that say this has a “clean” quality to it

I remember getting this the year it was released as a gift from my mother because I pretty much idolize Mariah and also because I loved Mariah’s “M”. M was my go to fragrance and I would spray it every morning since it came out. When I was gifted Forever, within a week I had ditched M, so this became my go to and I’ve used it pretty much every day since Freshman year in ’09-’10.
Forever may come off as a bit strong in the beginning, to the point that it was almost completely disliked when I first sprayed it but I ended up liking it after the first few minutes and then after the first hour or two, I absolutely loved it. I find that this is one of those fragrances that just gets better as time passes. I definitely agree with those who say it’s a fresh floral scent and in my opinion there’s a little bit of a fruity sweetness after it settles. As far as longevity; as I’ve previously mentioned, I have been spraying this on myself pretty much daily for the past few years and the scent is still there after a long day at work, then it’s somehow still there after a shower at night, and in the morning I can definitely smell a very light amount of it. The only thing I don’t like about this is the bottle. Now I love the design, but I have broke a few of the caps in the past.
When I was about 15 I asked my parents for a specific perfume for Christmas and since then my friends/family have assumed that I actually collect perfumes, so in this whole growing collection that I have, Forever is the only one getting regular use. It’s also one of the only fragrances that I buy for myself year after year. It’s pretty rare that I pick a different fragrance and I always recommend it to people who ask what I’m wearing.

It took me so long to buy this perfume, because I dislike tuberose, and I couldn’t test this perfume before I bought it, so it was a blind buy. I don’t think this perfume is too strong, I think it’s just right. I can smell the gardenia, granny smith apple, and tuberose well blended together. It’s a fresh crisp green apple, with a creamy tuberose, which Surprisingly is very nice. I think this perfume is perfect for Spring during the daytime. Overall I give this perfume a 8/10.

The moment you spray this, you smell a delicious crisp apple/grape smell with a touch of vanilla… very beautiful. One of the reasons I got this perfume is because it has a very unique scent… the only other fragrance that smells similar to this is Amarige by Givenchy, which also has that grapey aromatic creaminess. Very yummy. Forever is pretty strong, and lasts 8 hours easily. The juice is VERY oily, which can be a good and bad thing…. bad because it can irreversibly stain your blouse, but good because oily juice means a very good concentration that requires no more than 2 sprays for all day wear. This perfume is one of my top favorites.

I will get back here again on Mariah’s fragrances. Nothing I own of hers lasts beyond the two hour mark. I’m very disappointed at the lack of stability and of fixatives in her product. The fragrances are pleasing the issue is longevity and price. In my opinion even though they are inexpensive they are still too expensive for what they are.

I love this fragrance! It is one of my favorites and I have to say, in my opinion, this is one of Mariah’s best in her entire collection! I do now own every single one of them, but I have smelled almost all of them, and this is one of her most mature scents and one of her most feminene and pleasant scents.
I love to wear this to school and on special occasions or for when I want to impress someone.
The bottle is absolutely gorgeous! I got a 1.7 (50ml) bottle with a small body lotion in a gift set for $10! How can you beat a deal like that?! 🙂

i think this smells very similar to acqua by roberto cavalli, but the base here is not as woody but cosy because of the musk. top notes are crispier than acqua because of the green apple. i would wear this during summer time and i would wear acqua during autumn….love this perfume. i find it very surprising to be a celebrity scent

My husband loves the smell of Forever on my skin…it’s sensual n warm…i bought this perfume early this year because i love the smell of fresh n soury-sweet green apple n also my all-time favourite flower,the tuberose.tuberose brings out the creaminess and lovely smell in Forever.i am able to sense a little bit of cinnamon smell in it or maybe it’s just me who noticed that.
The design of the bottle is comparatively different from Mariah’s other fragrances..this one is by far,her most mature or grown-up kinda scent..for me,the bottle looks like an “award winning trophy” n also 3 dimensional and prismatic-like design.
Another good-smelling fragrance by Elizabeth Arden.

Something to wear during the Spring or Summer Season. Personally, I wore it during the Spring Season for work. Since it’s a light & crisp scent, which won’t overwhelm the peeps. It’s definitely a day-time fragrance, which has hints of neroli, tuberose, gardenia, white musk, & exotic wood & green apple. Blind buy at a great price at Ross. I dont realy care for it. True it is fresh but it’s a bit soapy to me and it does nothing for me; boderline headache scent. I would not buy it again and am disappointed with this purchase. I am offended that it’s compared to Very Hollywood which is one of my favorite scents, lol. I do not think the two are similar at all. I must confess though that although I dont care much for the fragrance, I do however love the bottle design and will keep it around just for that reason only, lol.

I love Forever on my skin. I smell a hint of the granny smith apple, and soft white flowers (gardenia), light and fresh. I don’t really get much patchouli, but it helps to round the other notes up. The sillage is good, maybe I was lucky enough to land a fresh one. It radiates around arm length, and I applied it an hour ago. About the tuberose, well I discovered tuberose in a lot of the perfumes I like, so maybe if you don’t like tuberose you want to try “Forever” before buying it. Longevity is about 2 hours. People say I smell sexy XD

Forever by Mariah Carey opens with fresh juicy green apple with hints of lotus flower now this is a sweet and fresh green apple not a sour harsh apple. Very pleasant. But then after about 3 hours all I smell is a very warm vanilla smells and some type of flower I cannot identify but this last for about 4 hours on me! 8/10

Fabulously Genaric. That thought kept springing to mind after I spritzed some on my wrists just to give it a try. That’s not an insult to it either. It really did have a fabulous sort of smell to it yet equally already done.
I found it had quite excellent lasting power, a good 5-6 hours after application I could still smell Forever on me. It just didn’t blow me away in the orginality department. Fresh mature floral. I defiantly got that lotus and earthy warm elements of Forever. I did not smell any fruit notes on my skin after dry down(2-3 minuites). While it’s a nice fragrence, I just don’t find it fits my personality and do not see myself purchasing.

Forever would be “Sparkling wine & Gardenias”
Both are great scents….
Very Hollywood is a little powdery….. But you really have to breath deep to detect it… & forever can com off as sporty & aquatic doe to the lotus, & Neroli combination

This is a very special fragrance to me. I obviously adore Mariah Carey, that’s why I got it without trying it. I just knew it was going to be worth it.
Forever is so elegant, delicate, and long lasting. White flowers all over the place, yet they do not annoy me.
It was my wedding scent. It turned out to be a great choice. Forever was creating nice aura around me, but wasn’t overpowering.

My friend and I went perfume shopping today, and this frag was the one she ultimately chose as her favourite. When I smelled it on her, I was almost jealous of the fact that she found it before me. It’s so lovely, and it never got sour or soapy on her skin. It was almost a romantic scent, really, and I thought the bottle was so pretty. Most of the summer scents I’ve tried has weak sillage and longevity, and the good quality ones are rare so I was surprised to find out that Forever was one of them. Its one of those hard to describe fragrances(not a bad thing, its probably because the notes mix well together) and doesn’t actually smell “crisp” like many people think. I get mostly apple, tuberose, gardenia, and lotus. The other notes are there too(besides patchouli) but not very detectable. I love the bottle, and the lid, but I hate the lid on a tester. Whenever I use it I forgot I’m holding the lid in my hand because it feels like its not part of the bottle and I only realize I’m holding the lid when everyone is staring at my hand LOL. Forever has really good sillage for a summer fragrance, slightly higher than moderate and even has better sillage than M in my opinion. Longevity is quite good, and at the dry down has sort of a “pale” feel to it. Still apple, but with musk. Smells odd actually, but I don’t mind it. This and mine again is definately my fav Mariah fragrances, I give 9/10

This is my FAVORITE perfume right now!! It is very sophisticated and complex, yet beautiful! I can definetly smell the apple,lotus and gardenia!!! If you want a perfume thats floral, yet slighty fruity and sexy without it being too musky, this is the perfume for you!

Mariah’s first fragrance ‘M’ is one of my favourites, it really is beautiful so as soon as my local chemist had a tester of this sitting out I just had to try it.
At first spray it smelt quite good, clean, crisp and watery then all of a sudden it turned extremely sour, I thought that perhaps the tester was off? My friend tried it and it smelt exactly the same so I’m not sure.
I’m really disappointed because Mariah’s perfume range is lovely and the bottle would look good on my dresser 🙂 but unfortunately the sourness just ruins it!

So, I was at TJ Maxx today and someone leaves a box of this open , so of course I SMELLED IT! So, I actually sprayed it on, which I know is wrong. LOL! I really like this scent. It’s nothing to write home about but it’s very nice and sophisticated. I think this is great for everyday or evening. Oddly, I can only describe this scent as a soft loud. What does that mean? It has really soft notes but it still loud in a way, like the soft notes are powerful. PROJECTION!
It reminds me of some type of laundry detergent or Bath and body works cotton blossom? To my nose, the green apple must be quite faint because I don’t pick that up. This is clean and sexy in one. I’m taking the Britney Spears Circus Fantasy back and getting this one for only $14.99.

This really is a glamorous floral fragrance in a glamorous bottle, best worn on your formal nights out with your wealthiest friends/family.
It is such a rich blend of delightful florals that it would be a shame not to share it on a night out on the town.
The most predominate notes on my skin are the gardenia & lotus blossom, but there are several others in the blend that make this a multi-faceted scent, and a most enjoyable one.
Silliage is great and longevity is several hours.

I found this for a really great price and even though I hadn’t smelled or heard about it before decided to buy it anyway 😡 I didn’t expect much… but once I tried it on I was really happy with it. It’s a great soft fresh floral. Modern and pleasant. I wouldn’t mind wearing this on a daily basis, as I think it’s not too offensive or overpowering. I like this a lot in comparison to other celeb frags out there!

this smells completely different from the eau de parfum.
Take out the Neroli & sweeten up the green apple giving it a wine like aroma.
Lotus, Gardenia, and tuberose are the in alignment in this fragrance. they create this super flower that smells expensive, elegant, & just breath-taking. <
