I’m not particularly a fan of vanilla heavy scents but Demeters Flowering Tonka is quite the exception! I love that it smells delightfully fresh, clean, unapologetically vanilla, yet it is never sickly sweet or cloying. It goes on high rotation throughout the warmer months for me. I have used it in combination with Demeters Devil’s Food, but worn alone it is beautiful. If you’re looking for a vanilla driven scent with a difference then this one is worth a look in. I really love it, which I think is a big rap from a girl who generally steers clear of vanilla fragrances!

Probably my favorite Demeter fragrance! I signed up just to review this one, lol. It reminds me of those scented Strawberry Shortcake dolls from the 80’s.

I’ve been testing a lot of Demeter fragrances lately and this is a VERY good one! I’m planning on a full bottle for this scent. It’s quite sweet, yet fresh and not cloying. It has that almost vanilla-note with the Tonka Bean, but doesn’t overwhelm you. I agree with the GartenGnome review, that you can wear this alone or layered. I would also mention, it has a little more lasting power than most of the Demeter scents I have tried so far.

So sweet, flirty, and girly. It is brilliant alone or combined with another. When I layer it with a vanilla or powder scent, I feel like I can conquer the world with my girliness. If this were an item of clothing, it would be the cuuuutest little pink and white sundress ever.
It’s a playful fragrance. It says, “I’m just here to have fun.”
There is something rather celebratory about it. I have a feeling Flowering Tonka will be in heavy rotation of my go-to scents this holiday season.
