Wow. This is a perfume that keeps on giving. The first 30 minutes smells like it’s being brewed right under your nose, churning and churning. Sometimes peppery, sometimes light and zesty, sometimes pink floral. And back again. Like the initial stages of an acid trip. After about an hour, it settles down and it’s no longer strong. Sillage is crazy, like a room spray. I would only use one light spritz because it’s quite light and floral, and has the tendency to cause headaches.
But you know what this ultimately smells like? Those scented beads in the 90’s, the ones you can get at stationery shops, tiny little beads in translucent yellow, purple and light pink. This smells exactly like the purple one.

Just got a sample of this and it is AMAZINGLY beautiful. An explosion of sweet fruit with underlying whispers of rose and amber. Good longevity. A keeper in my book.

Today it’a about 38 degrees Celsius here in Italy and it will be like this for another couple of months so all I can wear is fresh and citrusy perfumes which are not usualy my thing.
Ive been wearing this for the past four days and although it’s lovely in the heat it disappears pretty fast so it’s just probably better suited to spring time.
The scent itself is very close to Flowerbomb EDT which has better longevity and sillage than La Vie en Rose so I might switch to that one

I was gifted this fragrance by a friend and it’s just gorgeous. I think it’s a true spring/summer scent both zesty and pretty with good sillage and great longevity, it instantly lifts my mood.
————–EDIT—————
This is now June 2018 and I have worn this perfume on several occasions since that first spritz. I still like this perfume but, as with many scents, it has become just another voice in a sea of similar. Now that shouldn’t detract from this particular perfumes good points, after all, it is still the same fresh, summery and zesty fragrance I found so delightful, It absolutely should not detract…but it does. Especially when you can pick up extremely similar for half of the price.
———–VERDICT————
Still a pretty, fresh, bubbly spring/summer fragrance. Still likable, but has become slightly generic.

I love the addition of rose in this. I think it’s more pronounced on my skin than how others have ranked it above but as we know, it wears differently on everyone. I’d change it to a love from like if only it would last a bit longer. On paper, it does. I had placed a paper square with two sprays of this in my bag and it continued to delight for weeks! But on my skin, I re-up every four hours or so. I don’t mind since I love it at its strongest opening, but it’s not the cheapest frag I own, therefore earning only a like. However, for those searching, Sephora had 50ml bottles for $95 USD which is less than the original of that size. I bought the second to last bottle in that store. Made me glad I didn’t buy it the second it came out!
Anyway, the Rose makes it different enough to me that I’m glad I have both and it is interesting. I may layer it with a vanilla of some sort to keep it a year round option too. I’m happy with it and will certainly use it up with ease!

Love this one , it’s fresh and sweet and a little citrusy , just a great fun spritz for the summer ! It’s really along the same line as the EDT and if you have the EDT and you don’t want to spend more money then I would not go for this one ,,, however if you don’t have the EDT then switch it up for the summer month and go for this instead as it is very sweet , refreshing change from the regular EDP ,
(It doesn’t have that vanilla almond note that the EDP has , it’s just very much like the EDT )

I tried it at the store today and i like it. It smells like the original Flowerbomb but lighter and less sweet. I believe I smelled the almond note in this one. Packaging of the 2015 edition is cuter than that of 2014, in my opinion. If i remember correctly, 2014 La Vie En Rose had stronger citrus smell, and it didn’t smell as nice as the 2015 version, which is why i opted out from buying it last year and bought the 2015 version instead. Somehow the 2015 La vie en rose’s opening reminds me of Flowerbomb Extreme 2013. I think it’s because it is smooth without the pachoulli like the Extreme version. Of course, the opening isn’t as strong as the Extreme one and it doesn’t have the sweet dry down as the Extreme one neither. Sillage and longevity are both moderate. Overall, i like it!

Well, I tried last year’s version and I loved it, but it lasted about 30 seconds on my skin. I will give it another shot and hope for the best.

My comment will most likely be removed ….but as far as I am concerned this is a classic case of- same **** different day.
