This is definitely a feminine scent! Unisex is stretching it.
It opens with a huge burst of florals (don’t actually catch much rose though) and it’s not until about an hour later it eases down and becomes closer to a unisex fruity smell. Still floral throughout but I’m not too great at picking out notes and I have no idea what peony is supposed to smell like. I’m familiar with ylang-ylang and lavender of course, which kind of led me to expect something along the lines of Molton Brown (maybe that’s not so far off, except this is much more concentrated) and I guess the weird undercurrent I get is down to the fennel? This isn’t horrible, it’s just not something I can see myself wearing as a man, no matter how flamboyant I’m feeling!
I actually have English Leaf from this house too and strangely this carries a similar note somewhere in the mix, although that one I’ve not given a proper outing yet. I’m waiting until I go for a county walk before I spray that on fully.
