I’ve become slightly obsessed by neroli since purchasing Seville a l’Aube as I’ve found the scent has such an intensely atavistic and calming effect on me. Always on the look out for a bargain, I had a shot on this in good old M&S and was incredibly impressed.
So gorgeous, rich, sweet and smooth, it has amazing projection and longevity for such a simple little thing.
Just the thing for the wonderful Indian summer weather we’re having in the UK right now. Love, love, love!

Hey what is this I don’t even, no disrespect but it sounds like you spend a lot of time in rest stop bathrooms with that detailed review…
vvlom – :
Blind buy because of the rave reviews and i was interested in trying an orange blossom -based perfume. To me the opening smells like a lady’s bathroom stall at a highway rest stop in summer – stuffy, musky, and humid with a vague disinfectant smell. It then changes over to orange peel, then over to a cloud of pollen, and then back to a bathroom stall that happens to contain a bouquet of jasmine in it. It sort of settles as a bathroom stall in which a little kid spilled their Orange Julius inside hours earlier (sticky floors and everything). There are certainly plenty of better jasmine perfumes out there (Isabey’s Fleur, Gardenia, and Route), but this is OK. Not for everyday wear for me, though.

Grasse is a region in France with a golden micro-climate unequaled for the flourishing growth of flowers in the perfume industry. This perfume is made from the orange blossoms grown there, known for their radiant aroma. Fleur d’Oranger is sunlit orange blossoms with a faint supporting accord to enhance their beauty. It’s a breath of glorious spring, when the trees blossom, the air is light and bees are busy!
This is the first Fragonard perfume I’ve worn, and it is delightful. They are one of the top perfume houses in Grasse, known throughout France for their universally easy-to -wear fragrances. I can see why – this is sheer enjoyment. I had a soft cloud of orange blooms surrounding me for hours. Natural and refreshing. The epitome of sunny days and happy times.

A blind buy that arrived today!
As an orange blossom lover, I am in love with the freshness of this bright flower!
This is a fresh, sweet and delicate orange blossom, full of feminity and romance!
An absolutely day spring or summer time perfume!
Not all orange blossoms are like this! The addition of honey and musc give this perfume a sweet and delicate nature!
Lovely!

Excellent! Realistic! Good longevity! Not too expensive!

This was my first Fragonard perfume and was a blind buy. I sprayed this on and was taken back to my Mum’s garden when I was a child where she had an orange blossom bush which was very fragrant during summer. This perfume reminded me of a hot day walking in a garden full of Orange blossom. I immediately fell in love with this beautiful perfume. I was so surprised that after 6 hours I could still smell it especially as its a EDT. It does remind me of Prada’s d’oranger but this is oh so much better and lasts longer. My other love is Fragonard Mimosa which is also delicious and long lasting. I am getting Fragonard Iris which will be another blind buy so hope I like it just as much. I will probably get Patchouli for autumn/winter.

This was a blind buy for me after reading all the rave reviews here and elsewhere. The opening is a very realistic orange blossom note, which gives way to a more pungent aroma that reminds me of suntan lotion and, as a result, the beach. This lasts for an hour or two before drying down to the base, which, not unlike Nuit de Cellophane by Serge Lutens, smells like hair conditioner. A long-lasting fragrance for summertime.
minwoo – :
I’m impressed! A very natural-smelling, long-lasting, good-performance orange blossom. It starts fresh with this squeezed lemon note, a bit sour, almost too load, but refreshing. Then settles into a long phase of just beautiful citrus blossom with a hint of jasmine that adds a lot of beauty. It stayed on my skin through a long day, and I kept getting whiffs of it which made me happy. A must-have for all orange blossom lovers.
rfl181intitytek – :
Hands down, the most beautiful, natural, feminine, delicate fragrance I’ve ever tried / had in my life. You can’t get tired of this beauty, this soft gentle orange blossom which embraces you like a white clean light aura. I like to smell it all the time, on my clothes, my sheets, my hair, even my curtains!
The most prominent note in here is orange blossom for sure, a bit sweet, without any bitterness, and just a hint of citrus perhaps.
The strangest thing is that it’s really long-lasting, and doesn’t change in tone.
My search for the best and truest orange blossom perfume is finally over ^__^
Sbfrpmfmk – :
i can’t wait for its own page: fleur d’oranger intense EDP is so thrillingly fabulous. clean, tenacious, alight. like heaven’s dryer sheet.
igor 1111 – :
A lovely, sweet, floral orange blossom. I have no idea about the musk part, as I can’t smell most musks.
I just bought it, and I am currently using it to get an illusion of summer in this damp English spring.
Bonus point for me: a floral that does not get accused of being “soapy” by my better half 😉
bloretrit – :
This is my favourite everyday perfume. I cannot get over how fresh and clean it smells. This perfume is summer in a bottle. On me this scent lasts for hours and sometimes my clothing picks up the scent. Sadly Fragonard won’t ship the perfume to Canada because of the alcohol posing a fire risk on a plane so I am down to the last of what I have and I hoe to get more soon.
Dreantark – :
Somebody just copied pansylady’s review of Fleur d’Oranger and pasted it under Jour d’Hermes. Even if the fragrances smelled the slightest bit alike (they don’t), why take somebody else’s review and use it for another scent? Esp. when the reviews are in succession?
rasum – :
Orange blossoms dripping with pollen- heaven for bees, nectar of the gods!
arez – :
this appears to be much loved and enjoyed fragrance!
and at £25 for 100ml, it is hard not to agree.
sweetened orange blossom and neroli, indoles (a little) and musk (a lot).
it wears thick on my skin, an almost oily syrup.
it dries down to the neroli, with hints of jasmine.
but it’s as if the beautiful bitter orange that i love has been thickened, flattened, sweetened and further masked by indoles and musk. there is no air around the orange blossom…as if it cannot breath. it needs a bit more greenery imo.
i recognise the difference between neroli and orange blossom and can detect both in this composition….but the finished product just smells a bit synthetic and i would have preferred more flowers and bitter greenery, even a bit of soapiness, with much less musk and “honey”.
i was undecided, having tested it a few times in M&S.
…then someone said i smelt like a thick floral toilet detergent.
i prefer the greener, more uplifting, brighter Annick Goutal Neroli or a fragrance that a similar to this Fragonard, the slightly soapy airy Prada infusion d’oranger. but i think, had a tried this first, i perhaps would have appreciated it a little more.
Orange Blossom is such a sunny uplifting and beautiful note.
although very nice and inoffensive, i don’t think this fragrance quite does it justice.
bahtzhan – :
I have found it! I have found it! It’s finally the closest I have come to an affordable orange blossom that’s like driving through orange groves in spring. I have a table full of perfumes that are near but not quite it and now I have found the one (apart from Le Labo’s Fleur d’Oranger 27). And where did I find it? Marks and Spencer. I’m over the moon.I will be wearing it all summer and replenishing when it’s gone x
moto-minsk.by – :
Absolutely lovely! This is a very feminine orange blossom, sweet but not candy sweet or cloying, it’s floral but a very fresh floral and the jasmine note stays in the background. It has a nice orange/musky base and longevity and sillage are very good, especially for a citrus fragrance. I think this is going to be a favorite!
nika-zar – :
This opens with liturgical orange blossom in all its glory. Not fruity or sparkly openings here, no spices or contrasts, just plain ol’ neroli. Brings to mind easter festivities, church and holy water. An uplifting and antidepressant scent no doubt but a bit difficult to appropriate for the aforementioned connotations and its association with old people’s cologne. I think I would get weird looks from people if I stepped out reeking of this. The drydown is my favourite part. It evolves into a white amber with distinct powder and beeswax facets that I find divine. A bit of musk supports it and makes it a tad… naughty.
This is a bargain for the price! It lasts for hours on skin with a detectable projection and never loses its floral character. Definitely recommend it if a naturalistic orange blossom is what you seek.
As for me, it is one of those rare cases where a person confronts his own desires. This is pretty much the answer to my orange blossom prayers and yet… I am not sure what to do with it now that I found it. While I really like the opening I’d wear this only for the drydown. but still, something is missing. I feel it would benefit from a woody backbone and perhaps a sprinkling of iris or perhaps take the liturgic associations to their natural conclusion with incense. A perfect candidate for layering 😉 Got great results with many of my woody frags. Highly recommend that you try it!!!
FeekGymnfen – :
Lovely natural and uplifting scent. Not quite as ‘delicious’ as Etoile, but definitely worth a spot in everyone’s collection.
bablokapaj – :
So smells like orange blossom… I love it… it’s so soft… so summery
Lolik – :
I can smell a little bit of bitter orange and petit grain in the very first whiff of Fragonard Fleur d’Oranger. But it soon settles into a lovely orange blossom, and it achieves a nice balance: it’s bright with sweet orange and jasmine, but not to the extent of toothaching hard candy-like or shrill; it’s fluffy, marshmallow-like with a discreet honey, but not to the extent of cloying. There is also a tiny hint of indole to keep it natural. The fragrance on the whole is almost linear, just more citrus fruity at the beginning and more fluffy afterwards.
The sillage is moderate, and it wafts very nicely. The longevity is around 10 hours. Fleur d’Oranger is a relatively simple fragrance, and there are indeed other more interesting or more sophisticated orange blossom compositions on the market. But the fragrance itself is still very enjoyable, easy to wear and well composed. I think it’d be a lovely and relatively affordable, gateway orange blossom fragrance.

One of my for ever love. I finally found a shop which has it in Melbourne / Australia.
Being from Nice / France, I took the local fragrance for granted.
The collection ” Les Naturelles ” from Fragonard are made from Natural Scents / Extracts, beside the early spring treasure ” Lilly of the valley ” a fragrance so delicate, it can’t be exacted.
Anyway, this is a wonderful Orange Blossom Eau de Toilette, which has longevity & substance .
ds69904 – :
Fleur D’oranger is divine. Somehow Fragonard travelled back through time to visit Louis XIV’s Orangerie at Versailles and took a fragrant snapshot of the many flowering orange trees and other exotic plants and trees that I imagine were within. A beautifully balanced scent that is neither too sweet nor too sharp, pretty close to perfection in fact!
As well as wearing Fleur D’oranger to love and enjoy, I would recommend this as a tonic to anyone feeling stressed, sad or in need of a lift.
It has most definitely helped me through some difficult days.
zaza – :
Another lovely one from Fragonard. Just a wonderful smell. Fresh, citrus, floral and sweet. All in the right dose.
I feel happy wearing Fleur D’ Oranger for me it is a mood enhancer.
You just can’t go wrong with this one. I love it. xx
andery__96 – :
Fd’O ist linear, simple and simply gorgeous! This is – typical for Fragonard – a very pure composition of orange blossom with a hint of citrus (bergamot), very fresh at the beginning and after 10 min slighty sweeter but never cloying. This is just perfect for summer days, office or leisure. What I love most about this scent: there is not even a whiff of artificiality, all you smell are real ingredients. Love it.
Generally, I dislike layering scents but this one with a tiny bit of Fragonard’s Fleur de Vanille develeops into a rich and tender white flower bouquet. Worth a try.
Tabargugh – :
Not only is orange blossom my favorite floral scent of all, I happened to be wearing Fragonard Fleur d’Oranger when I gave birth to my daughter 5 1/2 years ago. I cannot imagine a more fitting fragrance for one of the most beautiful, amazing times in my life! Needless to say, Fleur d’Oranger holds the most special place in my heart. Nothing makes memories more vivid than fragrance, so I treasure this precious perfume.
Teimuraz60 – :
this one is incredible!!! orange blossom and honey is a magic conmbination. i recently got a sample and i got to have it…. soon!! this will be my summer scent from now on. living in southern france, this will be perfect to cool even on those hot summer days. il also cheer everyone up!! my husband is crazy about it too, i’ll have to watch out so that he doesn’t spray it all around the house!!
djekky – :
This is my every day fragrance. I get so many compliments from both men and women. It must go well with my body chemistry, it makes me feel unique 🙂
Qwan-BeTeR – :
This brings back memories of my beloved Pur Desir de Fleur d’Oranger by Yves Rocher which is discontinued. It’s a tangy, zesty and a little tart kind of orange flower. It feels like a perfect summer fragrance for when you’re craving something that will give you an instant energy boost and still not leave you smelling like some random “fresh” or “sporty” fragrance. I have to smile when I put it on and feel relaxed and optimistic at the same time. Even though its longevity is not really great on me, I would purchase this one again. 🙂
TaupSlalaSola – :
I don’t know how orange blossom smells as there’s no orange blossom here but I can say that it smells like PHilosophy baby Grace.
izm654speagoessenda – :
I love this fragrance! It is simply a beautiful neroli! And I love the comforting musk in the background. I barely detect its citrussy note. I love layering it with Fragonard’s Vetyver or something citrussy. The lasting power on me is only 3-4 hours… I ordered it after a walk through an orange orchard last spring, while it was in full bloom…. That afternoon I discovered orange blossom fragrance. It was most amazing flowery perfume!!! Sofisticated, heady, in a funny way not “too flowery”, but creamy, sumptuous…. I too wished it had a more masculine or fresh base to it… but that’s easily accomplished by layering it over another fragrance.
TishaRu – :
This is an awesome fragrance!
It opens with a huge accord of pure orange blossom that becomes orange, neroli and jasmine in a mix of plesaure.
I suppose it fits perfectly to women, but I do not care about sexist classificantion, so It is a must have fragrance in my collection
Longevity is impressive as well as sillage, so, 4 or 5 sprays are really enough for the whole day, even in Brazil, the hotest one
rizvan – :
A lovely summer eau de toilette, linear and simple but very addictive. Orange blossom lovers will be pleased by this one.
Perfectly unisex.

When I visited the rue Scribe Fragonard museum in Paris, I’d done my research & wanted so much to like this. Was utterly distraught to discover how tinny and thin and almost metallic (to my nose) this smelled on my skin. Not at all the macaron-like scent I was looking for! The solid perfume mini was a little creamier (and cute enough to die for), but ultimately this was a pass. I am perhaps too much a fan of perfumes that develop; this did nothing of the sort. There’s definitely something Glade-like about this.
jesse406 – :
It has taken some time to adjust to this scent and to truly appreciate it. When I first wore it a couple of years ago, someone in my office stated that something smelled like cleaning detergent of some sort. After that comment I refused to wear it until only a week ago when I ran out of another fragrance.
I must say that I’m getting used to it and like it but I surely don’t love it. I will hold onto it and use whenever I’ve run out of other options.
HakBMN – :
This doesn’t turn very citrusy on my skin. It’s an intense dose of orange blossom, somewhat heady. It has decent lasting power, I could smell it on myself fairly well 3 hrs later. The musk made it smell rather powdery on me, I can understand why some may think it’s strong. I think I want to layer it with something a little more masculine.
I LOVE Fragonard customer service though. They sent me SO many extra, generous samples!
Бэшан – :
My daughter brought home a sample from a tour of the Fragonard perfume factory in Grasse, France. Love this fragrance. It is fresh, feminine, and uplifting. It sounds silly but I love smelling this fragrance on me. The citrusy florals are long lasting and not too sweet.
menos – :
This was the one that hit my brain while approaching Fragonard shop in Grasse! Well, Fragonard has a determined marketing attitude to say the least. You see the yellow boards everywhere and even a little train going around the lovely town taking tourist around! While getting closer to their shop I was overwelmed with a lovely hypnotic smell that lingered in air! OMG! I immediately knew it was orange blossom as it is one of my favourite floral note together with jasmine and rose! Orange blossom in itself is a very uplifting, nerve-calming and anti-depressant note! It can be too pungent at time but in this case it is so lovely blended with thicker notes like honey (not too much or cloying!) and a soft musk base. Simple and simply enchanting!
You could smell Fleur d’Oranger sprayed high on top of the street from nozzles place on a high metal bar!
I’m happy that Fleur d’Oranger provided a common point of agreement between my BF and me! We usually don’t like same fragrances! I would dip into a vat of oriental amber and he would shower with citruses!
I will always match Fleur d’Oranger with my beautiful sunny trip to Grasse with BF wearing only a short summer dress and a big hat! Freedom! That’s why I say Fragonard went quite hard on olfactive marketing, more than its competitors Galimard and Molinard, who also make lovely scents with a less commercial vibe! The Fragonard shop was packed with customers from all over the world! Oh, and it was such a beautiful shop full of bottles of any kind and a museum!
Fleur d’oranger is what I tried to find in L’Artisan La chasse aux papillons. Less pungent and more mellow, not complicated but present.
The staying power is average but sillage is not very big.
EDIT: this fragrance is heaven for me and lift my mood up! But… I got quite a few negative feedback, mainly from the oldies of my family, which are not really perfume fan in general.
My mother says it smells too strong and synthetical! I wear only 2-3 spray at time.
Other told me it smells like floor detergent with bleach!
Elena050184 – :
A bold honeyed orange blossom fragrance. It reminds me of the same honeyed orange blossom note in Femme Fekkai Sensuelle.
buferok – :
This is my favourite summer scent. It is playful, flirty and uplifting. The musky/honey base adds interest and sophistication. It never fails to bring a smile to my face!
kurosivo – :
For me, this is Paris in the summer. At any time of the year, I breathe it in and I am suddenly there, and the sun is glinting off the Seine, and warming my face.
It is also a drive across Florida years ago with the orange groves in full bloom at sunset. It is warm and inviting, and innocent and sophisticated all at once.
A truly great fragrance among the “lighter” scents.
galacheris – :
First i get a lot of honey and jasmine, this is gorgeous, absolutely stunning. Wow, I’m definately going to have to put this on my top 10 list. This would make a perfect summer scent. this is an absolute favorite neroli. I don’t pick up much orange on my skin.. Love it.. price is not bad either..
