Description

Coral Flower is a female perfume from Lolita Lempicka house, famous for its fairy –tale unique bottles and remarkable scents. This fragrance was launched in July 2008 in a floral – oriental composition, created in cooperation with Maurice Roucel, and available as 30 and 50 ml edp. This fragrance was presented as the “sister” to L by Lolita Lempicka. The bottle carries an icy finish and the box has the color of sand, decorated with coral orange. The composition includes grapefruit, bergamot, orchid, frangipani flower, amber, musk and woody accords (driftwood).

    A beach wedding.
Opens with grapefruit, sugar and a silver spoon, then the frangipani* kicks in.
Waxy flower leis, festoons of them everywhere, sweet and heavy, lovely, but overdone.
The bride carries orchids, but you can’t smell them.
Hours later there’s breezy musk on dunes, and driftwood drying in the sun. The next day, an odd amber citrus still clings to the skin, like sand in unexpected places.
*(Does anyone else think “fancy-panties” when they read the word frangipani?)
    (Only me?)
    (This is awkward now.)

I was looking for a perfume with Frangipani. That flower sound so exotic. When I saw that Fleur de corail by Lolita Lempicka featured Frangipani I was pretty sure to like it because the nose behind it is the great Maurice Roucel and usually I like the Lolita Lempicka perfumes.
In Fleur de corail, the frangipani is not the main theme but it has a good presence. It’s fresh but also has a little powdery side. In summertime, I prefer to wear a light perfume than a cologne. So Fleur de corail is perfect for more than 30 degrees.

This is such a confusing scent to me.
It was advertised as a youthful summery ocean related kind of scent which also reflects strongly in the bottle design (which is just lovely btw.)
On me though this translates nothing at all like that. I do get some Frangipani and some saltiness from this, but most of all this is powder on me. Powder over powder.
And finally drying down it develops to smell exactly like the soap my late aunt Mary used to always have in her bathroom.
Personally to me this is really an old lady’s scent (I’m talking 80+), but as it conjures up some childhood memories for me I still kind of like having it around.
I just can’t say even at 34 that I feel comfortable wearing this out as on me it really has a strong old lady’s vibe.
I much prefer its sister L which is a bit warmer and sweeter (even though admittedly that one smells exactly like late aunt Mary’s moisturizer… but that’s for another review)

I don’t know if this depends on my skin but this perfume opens up with super strong musk! After a few minutes the frangipani note shines trough and it becomes more summery, soft and floral.

Wow, Much stronger than “L”. Deeper and more projection. Longer lasting as well. I didn’t think I would smell such a difference. I basically got this fragrance to add to my collection but I am glad I did. Very hard to find and it is really a lovely, sweet, deep, amber forward scent in the middle and dry down. I got lighter sweeter maybe floral when first applied but quickly deepened and softened into a nice powdery amber. I do still love this offering but probably my least favorite of the others I have tried. Nonetheless, a Love even so.

Beautiful fragrance! Nice and fresh for summer. Sweetly floral. The amber adds a lot of warmth, but the overall composition remains very light, with a sort of herbaceous, woodsy quality. It’s a great summer scent for people who don’t like citrusy or aquatic types of summer perfumes. Longevity is pretty good – 5-6 hours, but this fragrance does not project very strongly. It’s more of a skin scent.
I like to wear this sometimes with my long, flowing green dress and pretend I’m a mermaid! 🙂
Lovely scent, gorgeous bottle. It’s a pity this was discontinued. It’s still possible to get it, but very hard to find. I saw it a few months ago at a discount perfume shop. There was no tester available, so I blind bought it….No regrets. I’m happy to have this and will miss it when it’s gone!

summertime fragrance, reminds me of a day in the beach.
at the first spritz there was some citrus but it dissipates quickly. turned into something warm and powdery, i could smell orchid, frangipani, vanilla and amber. so creamy.. with just a very light hint of spice. enjoyable. I also like to spray this scent when i’m going to sleep for the sense of comfort.
however it does not last very long on me. 2hours tops. moderate sillage. two years and the spray start to broke, it leaks with brown stain and all the pendants come off..so sad 🙁

    My first perfume love!
In 2008 I got 3ml spray sample of this (I was 15 at that time) and used every drop very carefully, because my pocket money wasn’t enough to buy a full bottle.
Fleur de Corail was the first perfume I bought for myself three years later. Till then I was literally dreaming about this scent (it wan’t avaliable in stores anymore).
The bottle lasted very long and probably got spoiled, because I kept it in the daylight too much. In the end Fleur de Corail gave me only nausea and there was also something very synthetic (musk?). Yet I had the same nose when I was 15, so I believe that it was a result of bad storing.
I would love to test Fleur de Corail once again.
The longevity was superb and the sillage was also good. This scent reminded me the smell of sweet grape nectar. However, that makes no sence if I look at the notes. I don’t consider this perfume fresh at all. Yes, there are bergamot and grapefruit in the opening, but it is more about flowers, musk and amber. The driftwood is an intersting note here. Quite unique and rich scent in my opinion.

Sea spray and musk. Beautiful lingering scent. Gorgeous bottle.
I love how my car smells like it, even though I didn’t spray in there.

This reminds me of……..something. It comes out on my skin as a very CLEAN fragrance! Someone mentioned a “beach day” scent, and I agree! Very fresh. Very clean. Love it!

    Hmm, smells like which hazel.
I really hope this develops into more because it’s not all that crash hot at the moment.
Bottle is why I bought it, I usually like Lolita.
Much later…… turns to aquatic musk.
It took hours to reach a bearable level, it is still sharp fresh all the way through, might hold this back for summer and try it out when it’s well over the 35 degrees
bottle is just a delight and I have no regrets buying as I collect bottles but the scent is not instant love for me.

So…I’m getting different notes from what others are talking about. This starts out with a blast of sunscreen, but that’s gone in a few seconds to be replaced with fresh orange, bergamot, and neroli. Heavy on the neroli. This mixture then deepens and becomes heady and boozy, no longer fresh, with a new-agey, head shop vibe to it. After a few minutes of this, it dries down to a pure, creamy frangipani, though it never loses its boozy-ness.
I love this. It’s unlike anything I’ve smelled in the perfume world, this is a rich, creamy fragrance with a bold personality. This scent makes me thing of bright reds and yellows, a sunset on Maui with a frangipani lei around your neck and a fruit-filled, rum-based drink with a slice of pineapple on the rim in your hand. This is NOT your typical light, sporty beach fragrance, yet I feel like it’s just as appropriate for beach wear as any such scent. This is a mermaid siren’s scent, that would aid her in enticing unwitting mariners to their doom.
Edit: I’ve been wearing it a while now, and am sad to say that (at least in warm, muggy climates) it does not last above two hours. I still love it, though.

This is a beach going, summer time perfume. Floral, flirty and fun. This is a mermaid perfume. I learned about this after asking a stranger what perfume she was wearing. I have it but use it sparingly, since it does not really suit my personality. However, it has a friendly and easygoing vibe to it. I like it.

Oh dear.. This smells like my dog after I have given him a bath.

  15. :

This is very strong and harsh on me. Starts with bergamot but I get no fresh grapefruit, just strong stingy bergamot peel. Soon this drowns under white flower and amber. And when these come out I’m about to go mental. I sprayed generously to get a good moment to know this scent but it was a mistake. It really lasts and lasts.
So if you like powerful white flower and love the strong amber and you have my skin chemistry this is perfect for you.
The scent is full and rich, not a cheapie or granny scent. It’s just not for me because usually me and white flowers in big amounts don’t get along.

This is a beautiful fragrance – fresh but sweet. I tested this but wasn’t sure, took something else instead and returned the very next day to exchange it. This one lasts FOREVER on my skin. I think this is suitable for any kind of weather. We’re in Autumn now, but still have warm days. It differs on the warm days from the cold days – warm days it’s fresh, clean and on cold days is spicy, warm and sweet. I grabbed the last bottle I could find 🙂

Coral Flower is a beautiful tropical fragrance. It reminds me of the Caribbean island and as such really works with the weather here in Florida where I live. This has a slight aquatic freshness but it’s mostly citrus. The first spritz is nice. It’s refreshing in hot days. The rest of the fragrance is sweet with orchid flower which on me is very big and lasts a long time. I love orchids. The dry down is woodsy and musky but not heavily so. This is very much a Lempicka perfume. Sweet, girly, but lasts a long time and wearable for women of all ages. I love the bottle and put it on my dresser table. The first time I did that my cleaning lady thought it was an ornament. It’s a very decorative bottle and the scent is just as nice. It feels like something you discovered in the beach a rare mineral or stone that smells amazing and you brought it back home with you. Love it to death.

Fleur de Corail by Lolita Lempicka is my first foray into the fantastically concocted world of Lolita Lempicka. It is one of the most pleasantly unusual scents I have ever had the pleasure of wearing. This bottle is absolutely stunning! I’ve had to rearrange my perfume bottles in order to compliment the space around it.
At first spray, Coral Flower is an enigma. Salty, flower-laiden citrus and dusty, warm musk explode upon first spritz. The scent stays close to the skin and as it warms and lingers, sweetness intermingles with the citrus notes and smells like the custard-esque, creamy topping of lemon bars.
I catch whiffs of myself hours later and am delighted at how wonderfully delightful I smell. This scent is perfect as the weather warms, and strangely, this combination reminds me of eating a lemon bar whilst drinking a pretty drink during a day on white sand beaches I once called home. Coral flower is summer in a bottle.

I love Lolita lempicka, I was my first perfume love and this is what made me want to try the other scents from the brand. I think coral flower totally have the beach vibes, not only in the bottle but on my head the opening kind of smells of ocean salty breeze. I used to leave on the coast and I think this is the perfect fragrance for a hot day at the beach or just for when you want to smell like a mermaid. Very pretty and unique floral scent.

The bottle says tranquil marine, the fragrance shouts AMBER!
I am disappointed because the amber is so loud, I really wanted to love this because the bottle is divine.
I will sit and wait 30 minutes and hope this amber dies down…
30 minutes later it has died down somewhat, but not as much as I would like. Some sweet florals are coming through, but the amber seems to jar with them, instead of compliment. It’s such a shame.

This scent gets my little mermaid vibes going I love the bottle but the scent not as much but it’s great for spring it has that beachy scent and the sandalwood and lime create that very picture of sandy beaches and turqouise seas other than that i think it’s a great scent not my fave but good for spring/summer

  22. :

It is unusual scent and bottle and it is not for everyone even, but there are some perfumes I have been addicted to and it is the one of them.I had a bottle of this beauty for 4 years ago and was not that comfortable with it .”To much of everything is going on ,to loud,to sharp and icy.to girly and sweet”,I was thinking then .And gave it away to my daugther..but I never forget about this one and she was smelling so good…Untill yesterday,.I found it online and get orderd it at the same moment. There are some scents I want allways have a bottle around, like Prada Infusion d’Iris or Paloma Pikasso or some more …
This one is some strange wonder for me .It contains a magical power in this adorable tiny bottle of the loveliest smells I came across in perfume journey
It is most a chameleon perfume of all I know and every time I wear it I find something new about it,just wondering how it happens…
    Happy I found it again

While this has very little in common with “L” (it actually layers well…. about 2-3 of Coral, and 1 “L” and you get a lovely scent!) this is awfully generic IMO. I prefer deep, long lasting, gourmand sweeties, and this is very casual beachy/summer nice.
It is a citrus woody, floral powder scent. Not overly powerful or deep. It’s nice. Very casual, def for a lazy summer day. I like it, I have a massive LL collection since the original LL is my #1 fave on a list of about 50 perfumes… 😉
However, this doesn’t have any LL-oomph we’ve come to love from the brand. (in fact only LL, “L” and the Midnights really excite me. Desir, Jolie, Blanc… most of those are weak and rather boring, but look amazing in my collection.)
Overall, a nice addition to my collection, great for work/day, great for the beach, it does have that salty beachy feel, but maybe that is just me. 😉 But don’t expect anything special, it’s rather boring.

  24. :

    3 out of 5

Not a great piece of art, but we cannot always wear only masterpieces. Very pleasurable, just like a younger sister of L. Doesn’t have the salty, orangey sweetness, but smells exotic instead. It’s the frangipani, I suppose. I like to wear it in the summer, but it can also cheer me up on a cold autumn/early spring day, I only need to reapply often because it’s not as strong as its big sister L. I really enjoy it and I’m glad I bought a big bottle and a back up, because it seems to disappear like L. I don’t know what’s happening to Lempicka these days, they discontinue nice fragrances and put synthetic cocktails like Elle l’aime instead. Please go back to making good fragrances, not only suitable for teenagers!

Judging by the reviews here I think a lot of people are confusing this fragrance with another one called “L” de Lolita Lempicka.Easily done because the bottles are almost identical !!!

  26. :

    3 out of 5

    Delicate, elusive, sublime, lullaby-inducing!
One thinks of lapping sea waves and the creaking sound of a ship. The wind blows romantic curtains that protect one from the sun. A book opens…
Suddenly, Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Little Mermaid” begins its enchantment upon the reader. We dive into the seashell and coral palace of a future sacrificing mermaid.
What a rare experience this perfume is; just like the little mermaid that gave her life for a human prince!

  27. :

    5 out of 5

At the beginning, this feels like lemon hard candy. Very lemony, sweet and syrupy.
Then it gets a little salty and peppery.
After a while, powdery and balmy notes popup supported with warm smell of frangipani flowers, combined with hot smell of ochrid, and fresh penetrating smell of lemon blossom.
While all heat up on your skin, you still get it as a lemon all the way.
This is hard candy, but rounded, powdery, juicy, hot, sweet, wet and salty. Very feminine.
I wore it in the winter also and must say it smelled much more powdery / woody and been closer to the skin.
This way in summer, Coral Flower is much saltier and more flowery, it blooms from skin.
This is little shiny sunshine in the bottle from the bottom of the sea.

  28. :

    5 out of 5

Sweet tart, fruity floral and magical, perfect for summer. Earlier today I was wearing a spicy scent that felt suffocating in the heat, this feels light, cool fresh and marvelous with just a hint of soft perfume-y powderiness to round it out and change it from something typical into something magical

  29. :

    3 out of 5

I don’t find it unique, I’ve smelled similar pefumes before.
It’s too sweet and sticky for my taste, suffocating also. So not for me. Regretfully, because the bottle is gorgeous just as expected from Lolita Lempicka.

  30. :

    3 out of 5

This feels more along the lines of Jo Malone than Lolita Lempicka to me, could have very well been released last autumn along with Sage & Sea Salt.
Fleur de Corail opens with a sweet citrus and powdery amber in equal measure so it’s neither crisp nor zesty, there is some uniformity to the composition considering the warm – in a sun-drenched way – scent that follows.
The heart features a beautiful driftwood note I find very charming and relaxing, for a brief moment brought Eau des Merveilles to mind. Not that they smell alike but this kind of salty wood is fairly rare in commercial fragrances. Here is accompanied by tropical frangipani but not overly so, it’s still an understated feminine woody scent rather than floral to my nose.
The drydown is very much a skin scent with the addition of soft musk. Average sillage and longevity.
Overall Fleur de Corail is an unusual interpretation of beachy scents, would classify it a floral woody musk rather than oriental floral. There is no suntan lotion scent to be found here but a sandy texture instead, neither is much sweetness. I find the composition nicely balanced and none of the notes dominates.
It’s quite likely to consider a small bottle for the upcoming summer. The relatively low price tag and beautiful bottle won’t hurt either.

  31. :

Definately an oriental opening , I agree with Cassandra. I really don’t think that there is much citrus which is stated as the main note.I alo don’t think it is a total summer fragrance. Yes it can be worn in summer but it can also be worn in winter! It has a spicy note, like Calvin Klein Obsession but not as strong. All in all a lovely fragrance, distinct without being too heavy. It definately has a salty factor. Beauty!!

  32. :

    3 out of 5

The opening is very much an oriental scent, although it is not listed as a note in this perfume, I detected a sweet and sour incense type of flower, which made it smell oriental, then almost immediately after, the sweet and spicy scent of cinnamon vanilla softly warms up the incense. I can’t really describe this well, but it is very oriental, and slightly tangy and sweet at the same time. The floral that come in later are slightly heady like jasmine or tuberose. Although this is aimed towards younger women, I feel like someone 40 and older would be comfortable with this as well.

  33. :

    3 out of 5

Coral flower is an oriental category of flagrance. I get mostly frangipani flower and amber. It is not my cup of tea as it’s too sharp for my taste. I returned this purchase back.
I think that Lolita Lempica perfumes are not for me. I tried several onces so far but they do not marry well with my skin chemistry.

  34. :

    4 out of 5

The opening of Coral Flower is veeeery citrusy. I usually detest citrus in perfume. I bought this one blind and after applying it, I was instantly disappointed because of the opening. However, the dry down is AMAZING. Within a few minutes, you will smell like a tropical breeze. It’s actually a nice powdery scent, so if you’re a citrus-hater like I am, don’t be put off by the citrus note, in my opinion it doesn’t last. I don’t think it’s a good perfume for a blind buy, this one is a total hit-or-miss scent. Since I love it, this was a lucky blind buy for me!

  35. :

    5 out of 5

I love this perfume so much! I love to go to the beach and surf, and this fragrance somehow captured the essence of a wonderful morning out surfing at the beach, and walking along the sand. It is a soft and powdery scent that smells reminiscent of a quality suntan lotion, and you can definitely smell the tropical floral in the dry-down.
Though I do not wear this perfume often since I only save it for the Summer beach days, I still consider it to be one of my favorites.I feel like this is what a mermaid would smell like.

  36. :

I’m so happy to have discovered Lolita Lempicka! I’ve yet to be disappointed. This is another high quality perfume that lasts, projects, smells both delicious and unique, and offers a delightful sense of whimsy to my day.
Despite the citrus notes and summery marketing, I think this perfume has a sort of woody/gourmand flavor that works well into autumn.

  37. :

    3 out of 5

my experience on this fragrance is weird. it does smell sweet and nice. its comfy and breezy. and it has some beach/tropicial vibe because of the salty dry sand. BUT there is always a little weird smell peeking through, which smells like dried cat pee on a cloth. its so weird cuz i dont think any of the notes in this fragrance will smell like this. and it seems that im the only one who has this problem. so i suggest u to try before u buy. if u dont smell the cat pee thing, its fine and its a nice fragrance for u.

  38. :

I love my Coral Flower! The smell on me is melting, warm salted caramel. Or a praline on a hot New Orleans day. The citrus notes to me are not apparent; only the warm vanilla and slightly salty quality.
I also think this wonderful scent is a great value for the $$. When my bottle runs out I will be buying it again.

  39. :

    3 out of 5

I agree with others who say this has a strong baby powder scent. Not bad, but not like the beach.

  40. :

    3 out of 5

Coral Flower delivers everything the notes promise at first. Lovely. Unfortunately in the drydown all it broadcasts on my skin is powder. It’s quite possible that it depends on the day; and I will most definitely give this another go. For now it’s a bit to much baby powder for me.

When you first try this perfume you feel like on exotic island, enjoying the hot sands of the beach…and the salty air…Simply awesome! It would be great to wear it on summer, while going to the pool or seaside… Not overpowering at all. I dont have it yet, but plan to purchase it very very soon!!!

I’m really surprised with Fleur de Corail. I was expecting something super fresh, and I am so happy I was wrong.
This one remembers me very much the L de Lolita Lempicka, but its much easier to wear. Its a perfect perfume for summer or spring and fall hot days.
Its sexy, sweet and young… Crisp!
I wrote on my L de Lolita Lempicka perfume review that I feel like a Mermaid using that. With this one I feel also like a Mermaid, but in a different way.
I feel under water! (So hard to explain this but it was the easiest way I found)
I feel like I am a mermaid, under the water, with all that beautiful ocean treasures around me. ahaha It sounds silly, but is how I feel.
Fleur de Corail is a very special fragrance and I cant wait to buy it. 🙂
It lasts long and the silage is moderate.

I only recently discovered that I bought the wrong perfume!
I had obviously bought Coral Flower a couple of years ago and remembered loving the fresh vanilla and seaside smell. Then I bought ‘L’ thinking it was the same one and couldn’t understand the horrible sickly sweet cloying vanilla; I thought the formulation had changed!!
I am delighted that after the proper research I have found this divine fragrance again. This is one of my favourites!

  44. :

I don’t know how I feel about this perfume. It’s super peppery spicy, I could smell it before I even opened the box. It smells like si lolita at first. I think it’s just the amber I don’t like I’ve never been a fan of amber. But based on the reviews I thought it would be more fruity/tropical. I also have no idea what frangipani smells like so I wouldn’t know if I even smelled it. This perfume confuses me because I want to like it because I love the bottle and want to keep it but I doubt I’ll ever wear it. To me it smells like an old lady 🙁

  45. :

    4 out of 5

Pretty, powdery, sweetness. Definitely getting a bright grapefruit, and the frangipani on open, then an unusually beautiful amber and musky dry down, but the journey is so subtle and fugacious that I don’t have time to really parse out all the notes and enjoy them to the full. The bottle is gorgeous to look at but difficult to manage with a leaking seal and stabby charms and the tiny jagged rock crystal at the top that rotates at the last minute and likes spraying me in the face. (Or I’m an idiot; I do have my suspicions.) No sillage, close to skin. Very feminine and soft. Like, not love (yet). To test again in warmer weather and I hope to catch a bit of the advertised driftwood then.
ETA: Was humid today and the driftwood note came through and the scent endured. Now this is stunning, and I’ve gone straight to heaven. It took time to develop on me. I’m glad I was patient; like turned to love.

This perfume is absolutely beautiful. I love it so much. Especially in the summer. Once I discovered this bottle I went to every tj maxx in my area and bought every bottle. Lol. I won’t ever run out of this fairytale in a bottle. Its such a wonderful floral scent that is light and powdery on me at least. Its just like a dream in a bottle.

  47. :

I’m a little disappointed as Coral Flower smells like so much vanilla, with a musk undertone. I was looking forward to less sweet and more earthy, with some citrus and floral. Maybe it will change with time.

  48. :

    5 out of 5

Omg, I’ve loved this from the first spray on my wrist. I was so expecting something limey (I’m not the biggest fan of citrus and this name is coral so I’ve been doubting about it) but this was a total surprise. The scent is amazing. It takes me back to the Great Barrier Reef where I’m diving in this scent and exploring sea life. After an hour it turns into a play-dooh smell, but it’s still amazing. It’s very youthful and playful. It gives you an easy going feeling. Like the summer vacations and new adventoures are just around the corner. Heavenly!

This’s so awesome, so sweet & so delicious that I want to smell it all the time..

  52. :

Goes on smelling of fresh orange rind, bitterly citrus. Softens into a ‘sour’ frangipani, which kind of reminds me of sunscreen mixed with sweat. It gets more musky as it dries down, but the frangipani stays. I don’t exactly get ‘driftwood’- it’s very beachy and theres something keeping it from getting overly sweet and sickly. When I catch it from a distance it is more flowery, but up close the musk definately takes centre stage. It’s certainly something fresh and summery, one of the few scents I’ve tried that definitely has a season.
I like the fact that it has that sour, salty edge to it, because otherwise I think this would be excessively sweet and tropical. I wish the bergamot would hang around a bit more, it would give it more interest. It doesn’t last or project much on me, so it would be fine in the summer when you don’t want your perfume becoming a noxious heavy funk.
    The bottle is cute too.

Opened with lovely white floral and citrus but as it settled in the bitterness came forward. I do get the driftwood vibe too. Sillage was light to moderate on my skin. The bottle is the best part of this fragrance…very pretty in all aspects color and bling! I neither love not hate this one. TRY before you buy …not a safe blind buy.

I totally agree with freddinos. i was expecting an oriental floral but to this isn’t that. Or a floral version on L de L. nope it’s bitter lemons.. A bit aquatic, a bit green but mostly bitter lemons.
    Not for me, sorry

It smells like the Cote d’Azur en France… the loveliest scent of the salty sea! An awesome mixture of the subtle frangrances of the sunny sand with Lolita’s tipical sweet and lovely notes. I usually wear it on gloomy blue winter days, just for fun:)

I can only say that the descriptions here are so different from the experience I had with Coral Flower! I decided to put this in my want and then have list, but in my opinion this belongs to the floral woody musk and not to my beloved oriental floral category. All I get from it is tons of lemon and citruses, lots of musk and slight sandalwood. No sweetness, no florals on my skin:( I was expecting to smell frangipani, orchid and amber but alas, lemony musk it was. It’s not a bad perfume, it’s just not me. I see this as a sister perfume to Si Lolita, and not L de Lolita Lempicka(with which they share similar bottles). If you like musky yet refreshing citrsusy scents then look no further, as Coral Flower could be a very good summer choice indeed

I don’t normally prefer florals, but I love the original “L”, so I was curious about this one. It’s a wonderful soft, clean, pretty floral. Very inoffensive. Initially I didn’t think of it as “beachy”, but it is, just not like the beach of my experience (which is suntan lotion and honeysuckle all the way). No, this is like exotic Hawaiian beach-y. It’s the Frangipani, which I did not realize is Plumeria, and it’s sweet and lovely. I can also detect the driftwood scent, which gives it a fresh, dry, warm feeling. It’s definitely worth a try.

Very delightful fragrance that reminds me a lot of Mochino Couture, just a bit more fresh.
Last very long on my skin.

Hmmm…. My experience was less than pleasant. At dry down, it smelled like Play-Doh to me.
I stood it as long as I could, then I put See by Chloe over it. Oddly, the two mixed well enough that I was able to tolerate it through the day.
My search for a summer fragrance continues…

Well, this one is certainly interesting! It’s 31degrees Celsius today and it seems like an appropriate day to try it.
Firstly, let me just say that this bottle is so wonderfully cute! It reminds me of Polly Pocket, does anybody remember those? I’m pretty sure there was one that looked just like this. There was a blue one, sea-themed, with a jewel on top. As a kid I was also obsessed with mermaids, so this little bottle is just irresistible to me.
Citrus lasts for about 30 seconds on me, at first it smells like Mai Tai tastes. It goes straight into a soft powdery-floral-amber. Quite interesting. I’m not sure what to make of it yet, sometimes I smell it and I ‘can’t smell it’, if that makes sense. It reminds me of a salty summer cocktail. The amber note sometimes acts up and turns into a plastic doll note for me. Like a brand new plastic mermaid barbie dipped in a salty summer cocktail. That probably makes no sense.
    So unusual.

I didn’t get much citrus opening with Coral Flower. It started almost directly with frangipani and amber. I didn’t manage to relate the fragrance with sea like other reviewers do. But if sniff closer, I was able to detect a slight salty note. There is also a smoky texture that reminds me of Lush Lust and Annick Goutal Songes, which I assume is a particular interpretation of white flowers, and unfortunately is not my favourite way.
Overall it’s a warm fragrance to my nose. I’d prefer wearing in spring and autumn, though it’d be a interesting choice in a summer evening or even in the day for oriental fans. The sillage for the first hours is relatively strong, but after 3 or 4 hours it becomes close to skin while remaining a certain intensity. The longevity is 7h at least. Though not really my cup of tea, it’s still a fragrance of quality.

This fragrance encapsulates all the sweetness and innocence of a day at a circus near the sea, like Coney Island. The first smell I get is a salty taffy, then soft comforting flowers as if the beautiful trapeze artists have just walked by with flowers in their hair, then I get a citrus lemonade, all with the constant ocean notes in the background.
Today, as I was wearing this and appreciating how gorgeous it is, my first thought was how I want to live in Lolita Lempicka’s world; this beautiful magical world with a never-ending carnival, and then I thought of the beautiful and innocent Gelsomina in Fellini’s La Strada. This perfume would have been made for her. It has all her innocence and sweetness, her beauty, simplicit
