This is possibly the most unique fragrance I have tried. It’s overwhelmingly vibrant and natural and like nothing else I’ve smelled in perfumery. I do not think this fragrance will make sense to everyone–it’s almost startling to be wearing this in a big city amongst a sea of sweet florals. But that’s part of its appeal.
The fragrance begins with a sharp green bite that gives way to a mouth-watering wicker basket full of forest fruits. Earthy tamarind is the star here. It provides a fertile ground for the subtle, spicy rose and berries to grow in, but remains constant.
I’m not sure it’s for me, as someone who prefers to smell a bit gloomy and of Perfume (with a capital ‘P’). It’s definitely interesting to wear.

FIRST ARROW is such a sunny fragrance that at first I’m sure I smell fresh-squeezed orange juice, but that’s the tamarind and cranberries. With dry-down, the fruitiness smooths out and mellows, allowing the other notes to appear. In particular, I can pick up the cacao and vanilla, however, this isn’t a sweet or gourmand fragrance and these notes remain quiet and fresh. Eventually, the woodiness emerges, which makes the scent richer, but the lightness remains. Total longevity is about 6 hours on me, although the sillage gets rather soft after the first couple of hours. All in all, FIRST ARROW is an excellent casual scent for warm weather.
