This is my first review on here, so bear with me. I have been a fan of Voluspa for some time, their Baltic Amber was my signature for ages and favorite scent to gift, since it was so agreeable to men and women of all ages and preferences. I finally recently rediscovered them (never thought to look on the internet when Anthro stopped carrying their sprays – derp!) and bought 8 different scents in both spray and candle form, on sale for a song. I now have both the Black Figue & Chypre and this, the Figue de Bordeaux. This one is bright crisp tart fig, almost aldehydic in that addictive tickle-your-nose way. This is straightforward ripe green fizzy fig soda, kept from being too fruity/juicy by just enough leaf and wood from the fig tree. This will be great in the summer, tart and refreshing but earthy enough to make it feel unique and kind of innocently sexy. Sillage isn’t bad considering it’s a room/body spray. I’ve received many compliments and inquiries from strangers. Longevity isn’t great, (about 2 hours), but for the price I’m happy to re-spritz every so often. Great for layering, too. I hope these scents start to get some love on here, they’re lovely and unusual and an amazing value!
(P.S. Go check out the sale!)
