Description

Felicity is the new perfume from Oriflame, a scented exotic fantasy that takes you into the world of Indian Princesses with its oriental fruity notes. The fragrance evokes the grandeur of Indian jewelry and colorful dresses, inspired by the flower bazaar at the Lake Dal in Kashmir.

The perfumer Christian Vermorel evokes the fascinating and surreal atmosphere of this place in northwestern India, filled with flavors of many flowers mixed with the nearby scents of spices and fruits. Vanilla, used in this fragrance, is supplied by EARF (Eco-Agri Research Foundation), a nonprofit organization that helps Indian farmers. The composition opens with luscious notes of cinnamon, lemon, peach and plum. Flower bouquet in the heart is made of Indian jasmine, freesia, orange blossom and lily of the valley, laid on the base of vanilla, musk, sandalwood and benzoin.

Felicity is available as 50 ml Eau de Toilette.

Felicity was launched in 2011.

I used to wear this in my college days, and people would say it smells like Boss Orange. I did not know that fragrance then, but I had the opportunity to try it later and I agree, to a point. Felicity was sweeter and Boss has a fresh note more visible. However, this is long lasting and I used to love it. I think it was discontinued, which is a pity, it used to be one of Oriflame’s best fragrances. Apparently, they keep discontinuing the best fragrances.

    HeavyBeatsUK, you are so right.
I don’t usually care too much about “political” correctness, but I care greatly for FACTUAL correctness and accuracy.
This woman doesn’t resemble 99% of the population of the Indian subcontinent, and there are literally billions of beautiful women who would have been much more appropriate for the ad.
True, Oriflame is Swedish, and this lovely blonde could well be Scandinavian. But in the interest of cultural sensitivity and accuracy, Oriflame could at the very least have chosen a model with a dark complexion (if finding an actual South Asian woman would have been too difficult).

It’s inappropriate that they are depicting a blonde white woman as an “Indian Princess” in their marketing. Most Indians have dark skin, thick dark hair, and beautiful brown eyes. Stunning people.

It’s a lovely sweet fruity cinnamon vanilla cake. With flowers and spices. Beautifully warm, cozy and comforting. I love it.

Dear Zoita,I guess we are so close in fragrance taste.Mirage and this one, also M by Marcel Marongiu are my top fragrances.Maybe they would start reproducing them again,I guess Lucia was discontinued but put it back in production again.Let’s hope that these ones will be reproduced again :-)))
    Modest request form Georgia :-)))

Felicity is spicy and hot, lemony fresh and alluringly sweet. Together with Mirage, they are my Oriflame fragrances, all the others look the same to me, weak variations of the same base, but these two, are just different. Unfortunately, looks like they are both no longer available, at least in Romania.

I used to work for Oriflame so I used alot of perfume from them and this one is one of my favorite. Although this is a perfume for women but I’m in love with it. So amazing, light like a scent from paradise. But now I can’t find it. Oriflame stop producing it now so very sad. I hope they will bring it back.

    Fragrance Review For Felicity
    By Oriflame
    Top Notes
    Lemon Peach Plum Cinnamon
    Middle Notes
African Orange Flower Jasmine Lily of the Valley
    Base Notes
    Sandalwood Musk Vanilla Benzoin
Felicity was always one of my favorite names. If I had a daughter I would call her Felicity. Plus it was a TV series I used to enjoy watching in the late 90’s. It’s also the name of a character on the old Disney TV cable series Avonlea. Felicity the perfume is a sweet gourmand scent with various notes that make up a delicious and spicy concoction. It smells like a cafe where they also sell baked goods: cookies teas and cakes. If you’re into gourmand scents this is a real treat.
The opening is a peach and plum scent with a more pronounced peach. There’s lemon in it but because of the combination of vanilla and benzoin not to mention cinnamon it’s like a lemon merengue pie type of lemon. The top notes smell like fruit cake. And not the kind of bad fruit cake your grandma made for Christmas. This is the good stuff. The heart is floral with white jasmine and freesia. It’s not very floral and it’s more spicy than floral like a spicy lily of the valley, like edible flower petals that have a sharp taste. But in perfume this isn’t bad. The sandalwood stands out in the dry down as does vanilla, tons of vanilla. It’s powdery vanilla. Delicious. Benzoin gives this scent a rich creaminess and a touch of incense. It does get progressively warmer so I’m thinking this is suited to colder weather and perfect as a December fragrance for Christmas. In fact you can wear it to Christmas parties.
Nothing else to be said. This is lovely.

this is too sweet and last on my body almost for a day, at first smell’s like the spray from insect killer on my country, but after that it getting sweet on my body, and i love smell.

Very similar to The Body Shop’s Neroli Jasmine, but softer and muskier.Only last 2-3 hour.

I bought my perfume 2 days ago and i really liked it.
It has an amazing healing effect and i can clearly say that it smells so similar to Hypnose Lancome but not cloying like that thanks god! I suggest it to girls who loves buttery warm scents.

  14. :

Winter dream cake-ish, yet subtle, warm and never too sweet thanks to the powdery, clean notes. Its apricot is more on the floral side if you get what I mean (not that overly juicy, rather dry like floral scents). I tend to detect some honey and synthetic this and that, but nothing annoying or too cheap here.
Beautiful, delicately sweet perfume for stargazers.

The author of Felicity successfully managed to balance vanilla with cinnamon and orange blossom-apricot mixture, and the magic of it is that all
these ingredients (except apricot maybe) can be real killers – if mixed in wrong proportions or even individually, but here the proportions are just perfect! I regard this perfume as a naughty, teenage sister of Casmir or Vanilla Fields. Fruitier and spicier but still vanilla – and that’s great!:-D

Right, just got this in the post expecting a lot more vanilla… I’ve only just sprayed it and I’m getting apricot, sugary lemon and a bit floral. Will give an update in about 20 minutes or so…
Update: So after about half an hour I’m getting a sugary sweet cake store! The lemon is still prominent but I’m getting whiffs of cinnamon and vanilla. I would say that the sugary lemon is the strongest note with vanilla and cinnamon next. Not getting the apricot/peach anymore.
Smells like cinnamon lemon cake if such a cake exists. I like it a lot now!!

The notes sounded wonderful! Both spicy and sweet, sprinkled with a little mystique. Well that’s what I had envisaged… unfortunately, this scent does not work on me.
All I get is sickly sweet vanilla air freshener. It just doesn’t mix with my chemistry.

This scent is a pleasant surprise, panned on Ebay, came from Budapest, paid a trifle, arrived fast and free shipping.
I honestly did not think I was going to receive or receiving, would be a waste.
    Was well deceived.
The perfume arrived, is a fruity oriental with a touch of peach and plum, cinnamon is very discreet, good vanilla and has a touch of sandalwood and cool it.
This mix makes it a sweet scent, but nothing of the sort that leads to diabetes not.
A mixture of Poeme, L Lolita and Boss Orange, all together, nothing extreme. At the point, neither extravagant nor smooth.
Good choice for milder temperatures, cold days.
    I liked him.
    Sorry for my English.
    Gostei dele.

I can smell the jasmine, vanilla and cinnamon clearly.
I can also smell the musk, sandalwood and orange blossom
too but in a subtle way.
    I really like this perfume.
It has a lovely scent. Warm and sweet. I like to wear it on daytime and in social events like a wedding.
    It’s a really nice perfume.

A warm, sweet, cozy and subtly sexy mix of vanilla and cinammon! I can feel fruity notes inside, sweet and a bit citrusy, some resin hues too. It’s a delicious scent that makes me want to taste it!!!I got many compliments when i wore it and most of them from strangers,no kidding!!!

My mother works for Oriflame, so it’s quite usuall tha as i part of a gift i get some perfume from the company. This smells really good, sweet and bit gourmand for a good value, I like it. But it’s little bit too easy scent, you could be bored in no time..

For me by a miracle it smells like Tic-Tac. 🙂 I like.

  24. :

    4 out of 5

Warm, spicy-fruity juice on woodsy base. Nothing more, nothing less 🙂
I purchased the bottle in dark and did not set my expectations high due to price label but I am gobsmacked in a positive way as the quality is equal to most designer fragrances.
The combination of peach, plum, cinnamon and vanilla makes Felicity a perfect companion for cool wintery days and evenings. The fragrance reminds me of a top shelf wine mixed with spices, sipped in front of a fireplace.
    Cosy as a blanket.
    That’s Felicity.
Don’t be put off by the price tag. Felicity proves that the price tag often has nothing to do with the overall feel and the quality of fragrance.

  25. :

I really like Felicity. It is a pretty fragrance that is creamy vanilla, orange and cinnamon. It is perfect for the office because it is not overwhelming.

  26. :

Yet ANOTHER Oriflame that smells like tobacco and plastic/vinyl.
The tobacco stench must be patchouli, or what?
Patch are not listed though, but just like in Yves Rocher scents, it seems to be the base in their perfumes.
    Oranges/plastic/tobacco.
    No vanilla what so ever.
    No buy. DEFINATELY no buy.

Finally… Felicity marketed in my country. Was so curious when I saw it in Fragrantica. As I am the fan of vanilla, this one is very, very nice! I thought Felicity is similar like L DE Lolita which I already have, but it’s not. This one can wear in summer day, for its light but exotic.. as Felicity is Remind me of exotic India, like Kenzo Indian Holi, but of course the are not similar at all. 🙂
Dominate: Vanilla, Peach, Jasmin. Cinnamon and Plum disappear in 15 minutes
    Sweet..No
    Cloying..No
    Fresh..5
    Silage..Medium
    Longevity..3-4hours
    I still love it !! 😀

Almost half year has passed now that I have this beautiful bottle which I see every day but I never want to use it. The notes made me think it will be just gorgous for me but it turned out to be bitter and peppery instead of pleasantly sweet and comfy. With all the efforts to make myself like it I cannot say I do. Try this before you buy it!

  29. :

First, a BIG thanks to Zuuus.p for the sample!
I am soooo disappointed! I wanted to love this based on the notes! I was hoping it would be more vanillic like Chopard Casmir, but its not…at least to my nose.
The cinnamon/peach/benzoin blend together to create a tobacco scent on my skin…and I don’t like the scent of tobacco and I definitely don’t want to smell like a cigar parlor!
I also do not agree that it smells like Oriflame Amber Elixir (which I love) or Casmir by Chopard (unfortunately).
Try before you buy for sure!

Many people say it’s similar to Boss Orange and indeed it is. I have both and I first thought they were exactly the same. However, when I sprayed both on my wrists I discovered that Boss Orange is a more subtle orange-blossom-mixed-with-candy scent that lingers like a veil but stays closer to the skin. Felicity is sweeter and stronger, it has more vanilla, sandalwood and lots of peach as well. They could be marketed under one name though. To me the difference is like that between edt and edp of the same fragrance.

  31. :

    4 out of 5

Felicity is a very nice fragrance. Simple, with fresh top notes and warmer base notes.
The top notes remind me of tangerine juice mixed with cinnamon and the drydown is a wonderfull and creamy vanilla. I like this perfume and will crave for it when I want something vanilla but not to sensual and “I am here, look at me”.
Its a charming fragrance for oriental vanilla lovers that is not overpowering. My favourite part is the drydown, its very calming and wonderfull.
Reminds me a bit of L from Lolita Lempicka but Felicity is more soft and not as bitter as L can be (lol this sounded like “bitter as hell can be” lol)
If you are looking for a simple vanilla/cinammon fragrance Felicity can be what you are looking for.
Suitable for every occasion and temperature I guess.
    Good job Oriflame 🙂

A wonderful mix of Vanilla, Cinnamon and Plum – I can detect them first – then followed by beautiful white flowers. Not heavy or edgy, very smooth and gentle but at the same time intensive. This one is like a luxury perfum but to a very nice cost. The plum-note is adult and deep, very nice. A great scent for day or night. A keeper! The vanilla- cinnamon is dominant (in a good way) but not strong – to love this scent – you need to be a vanilla-fan. Longlasting, about 3-4 hours on my skin. Very good.

Now that I have purchased this perfume and have been using it more times I find it much more bitter than sweet. Only at teh dry down it becomes sweet and cozy, at the beggining it is quite strong bitter and even strange. And I`ll have to use it for some time more to figure out if good-strange or not-so-good-strange. However the bottle it trully beautiful.

  35. :

    5 out of 5

I find this one really lovely. It`s not that sweet, warm in the beggining as I have imagined it to be. It`s very interesting and almost refreshing to me. After couple of hours I can only smell vanilia and cinnamon though. All in all it`s lovely enough for me to buy it for winter coziness.

I’m disappointed, too. Actually it is my biggest disappointment recently. It smells just like Dana Love’s Vanilla Pop, and both are awful for my nose. Unfortunately it doesn’t remind me of Sahlini La Femme at all, wich I like very much. It is sickening sweet, peachy, sugary vanilla scent, and I miss every spiciness or oriental effect from it…

  44. :

Just tried this one and it’s amazing,I really like it!!!

  45. :

    4 out of 5

First I thought, oooh lovely, all those descriptions make it sound perfect – but at first spray I was disappointed. All I could smell was biting alcohol, almost like a hairspray. No kidding. I have a very sensitive nose, so I thought, okay, let’s wait and sniff.
Well… the smell turned into tangerine on my skin. I should have been expecting something like this from an orange perfume, but I was looking forward to the spicy vanilla. Vanilla, where are you? Spice, any? It never happened.
Must be my skin, but well… unfortunately, after weeks of waiting for this perfumes and all these high expectations, this is not for me. Maybe on a really hot summer day, when I’m really desperate for a squishy tangerine scent. Apart from that, there’s nothing. Sorry. :o(

  46. :

    5 out of 5

I can definitely smell the lemon and cinnamon in the beginning and it’s a beautiful combination. Then I smell honey candy, not sickly sweet, just perfect. After a while I smell a very soft, creamy peach cake and it’s simply divine! The floral notes make their way to the surface but the creamy peach does not leave and I love that!
I think it’s sophisticated and perfect for both day and night. The bottle is very cute and looks oriental.

  47. :

    3 out of 5

I like it very much. It is a soft, a little candy- like oriental. What I can smell at first is all about sugary vanilla with a plum. Then the plum quickly disappears and we have a foody, very sweet vanilla with an undertone of something similar to incense. Actually, it reminds me of French Vanilla by Dana in the middle notes. But I prefer Felicity, because the smell is softer and sweeter. Finally, it becames deeper and classy, without this strong sugary note but still delicious, without been heavy or overwhelming.
I find this fragrance really exotic, like an oriental market but at the same time this is so light that even someone who does not wear orientals could appreciate this one.
It lasts all day on my skin (after a few hours it becomes very close to skin but still existing) and I think it is ok for a not expensif (though it doesn’t smell cheap), every day scent like this one.
The bottle is also very nice.

  48. :

    4 out of 5

I like this one very much, a gentle oriental. If you like it and want something similar but stronger and with more spicy-floral character, try Sahlini La Femme…

  49. :

    3 out of 5

To me,it’s perfect for the spring or the summer, and it smells a lot like Venezia or Boss Orange…

  50. :

    5 out of 5

very warm, spicy perfect for colder weather. It’s a bit serious perfume so it might not be suitable for younger women. But it’s not suffocating or heavy given the base notes.

I wish I could smell this one, sounds amazing!!
