@rbalkris, and what exactly has Persia to do with arabian nights? Different people, different culture, different history, different language…
Емвигич – :
A shimmering olfactory Oriental jewel, this is a perfume that immediately takes you to the lands of the Arabian nights. Fars, an ode to the ancient land of Persia, is a swoon worthy creation from Xerjoff which is beautifully composed and breathtakingly gorgeous. The perfume opens with fresh notes of citrus, juniper and lavender and moves to a brief heart that is composed of geranium, jasmine and cedar before it settles into its dense powdery base of ambergris, patchouli, cypriol, sandalwood, vetiver and slight Oud. The perfume is beautifully blended, unisex, has moderate to strong projection and good longevity. It is suitable for wear anytime and in any season. Very pleasant and enjoyable. Enjoy!

Opulent, Rich, stands out of the crowd. There is no way one can stay unoticed when wearing this almost mystical scent and I mean that in a positive and classy way. This is for over 35 strong and confident men in importants non casual social events.
Great performer and not to apply on fabric.
The downfall is the new bottle design that I find pretty childish

I got a 4ml sample of this. I’m gonna be honest this smells like the oldest lady on earth. I legit feel that a 108 year old lady could rock this and literally nobody else. But if you enjoy it, go for it I dig that attitude.
Edit: I actually like the scent btw, just for a 108 year old lady.

Amazing juice ! please try it out 🙂

Fars stands for the ancient kingdom of Persia.
So expect a luxurious scent of a premium scented bukhoor/arabic incense. A sweet luscious geranium gives the smell of an exotic rose over a sweet minty incense thanks to Nagarmotha/Pine Oil. A touch of earthy sweet patchouli. The Oud is sweet and minimalisitc to provide richness and depth.
Perfect scent for those who are uninitiated into arabic fragrances. Thos who are may find it generic but the quality shines. Suited for the night time in a cold/pleasant weather. Performance is great 6 to 8 hours with soft sillage. Connoisseurs can find a more hardcore version in Kemi’s Jabir (From Xerjoff)

afterdark yes fars = persia
liana5 – :
What does the Fars mean in this one? Is it in reference to “Persia” or “Persian”?
Caspersse – :
I really like this…REALLY like this.
Not on me (yet!), but on my beloved husband. It really works on him, and therefore, it works for me…really works for me.
This stays in the wardrobe.
I love the cade, the jasmine and geranium, and was very excited to be able to pick out the Haitian Vetiver! I love the pure stuff, and know it well! The type of oud used is new to me, and I like it. This is the first Xerjoff I’ve tried that I really liked. The mixture of resinous with floral is really nice, and somehow works on my husband.

Lovely and mesmerizing.

Usually im not a fan of aromatic / lavendel scents, but this one has it well balanced and toned down to the point that I can freely use it and overspray.( which i dont really need because its strong enough with 4 sprays) . Its a very favourite of mine from the oud stars collection, the best and most wearable one in my opinion..It gives you a start with very balanced oudy rose combination probably the geranium bergamot ambergris combo which gives that smell, slightly aromatic ( like a touch of it ) not much spicy i dont get the spicy accords for me its slightly floral and fortunatelly there is not much patchouli or i would sell the hell of it. In the dry down it goes to be more defined and enriched with a combination of velvety sandalwood , warmed up by ambergris toned down again by a bit of woodsy cold cedar but it still keeps the slightly rose/oud theme which is so balanced to keep you wonder and question what you really smell in it . Again thats is my take on it it might smell different on your skin.
Compressor – :
This thing’s nuts. It’s a variant on the rose / oud / saffron theme but they’ve thrown in two unnerving accords for the hell of it. One’s a soapy floral that juts out like a busted limb, and the other smells like, well, dung. The florals seem like a cross between geranium and lavender, which is probably what’s making it so damn soapy. The oud, while a bit barnyard, is no more terrifying than some of the other poo-ey ouds out there. However, it’s the synthesis of synthy Eastern tropes, the soap, and the oud that brews up an olfactory image of a highly-trafficked restroom for me (albeit a ritzy, perfumed one). The note combination doesn’t work at all in my opinion, and the whole thing’s way out of balance (the soapy florals are high, the oud accord and the rose/saffron are low). After a while, the oud vanishes altogether and you’re left with something that smells a bit like Salvador Dali PH—that same kind of cacophony of notes. Jarring, clumsy, and generally unsure of itself.

Newcomers be aware all the honest reviews about this fragrance have been voted down by the eccentric fanatics here to the point, they disappear. Unfortunately, reviews here cannot be trusted. You see, there are only reviews praising it that’s when you know something is up. Like everything in society today, to the news, literature, entertainment, government agendas, the truth always manages to disappear into the wind and you’re now left with the rhetorical babbling of industry sheep in order to convert you to help their agenda. Be yourself not a robot. Stay vigilant, stay free.

Opens with lots of patchouli. Was thinking about selling my decant at first. But the drydown is absolutely FANTASTIC. VERY calming, this would be great in spring and fall. Another great fragrance from Xerjoff (which can be hit or miss), this one is definitely a hit.
AST1234 – :
Amazing juice! Guys do yourselves a favor
Compliments all day long

Hah! Giant thumbs up to “nooo it’s not addiction, we call that Passion” below 😛
I’m beginning to notice patch + lavender + bergamot + muskiness has an almost narcotic effect on me. This one definitely counts, and added bonus for blending 2 of the most incongruous ingredients I can think of (lemony fresh geranium and dark oud/ambergris?) seamlessly.
I got this sample in a grabbag and had no idea what I was in for much earlier in my frangrance journey. The first time I wore it it smelled like Druidic magic to me; earthy, raw, damp, dark. Mm… But still a fresh quality behind it that made it entrancing.
Now revisiting it, the bottom line is that this is some of THE smoothest darkness you can find, beautifully balanced (oud? ambregris?) with geranium/lavender freshness. I’ve been tempted to buy it to share several times… maybe one day I will succumb to the magic 😉

Xerjoff are well true in their achievements, wherein this scent is one of the most spectacular!
At first, you seem to get all the particular ingredients, but give it an hour ( and quite a many to come…) as it settles; you are in scental heaven – no need to specify all those memories, feelings or otherwise – just sit back and let yourself and those amongst whiff…
After painstakingly searching for ultimate weatern-style (mind you: attars and oils are, when well-made, immer superior!) ouds, this Xerjoff-line is the finest and truest to the history of oudh scents.
NataQi – :
Very nice scent, and can be unique here in the states given that it is very very oriental. However it wouldn’t be hard to imagine a skillful Arabian perfumer that would provide you with very similar and 10X cheaper analogues.
alupaciy – :
Tried my decant of this juice today and it started out as an oriental smell, then moved to a super dry vetiver, woody, juniper scent, almost cold feeling. Finally, the drydown was a very pleasant even fresh combo of the drier scents with the lavender, jasmine and bergamot balanced with the woods. Very lovely in the drydown and not at all what I expected from the initial application. It all comes together beautifully.
konfeta1985 – :
I have to agree with Oslo-fjord, this is the best one from this new Oud Star collection.
bugatti.tlt – :
Classy stuff from Xerjoff. Expencive, but you can smell it! This is my favorit (and the most versatile) from the Oud Star line, though I prefer Kobe over this one.
